GRACE

1The Power Of Christ

And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10

Several years ago, a servant of God, known as Praying Hyde was doing God’s ministry in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. He would spend hours of time in prayer. Once, thousands of people had assembled eagerly to listen to his message to be given at a convention. He rose up to the dais to share the word of God. People got ready with their Bibles to listen to his exposition of Biblical verses, message and prayer. But he looked up to heaven and said just two words – “Abba, my Father!” That was all. The heavens opened. The Holy Spirit descended upon all the people, like a dove. The unrepentant, beating their chest rolled down on the ground with a loud out-cry and repented. The meeting lasted for hours together. The servant of God did not preach at all, except for the two words he spoke to God, which brought the shower of the Holy Spirit. The simple reason is to be found in his prayer-filled life. Jesus descended into him powerfully and moved the place.

Today many in Christendom talk about God’s power but the sad part is that so few of them demonstrate it. Their anointing is so miniscule that it can hardly do anything. Their vessels cannot seem to contain the anointing and dissipates very quickly! Yet God’s word is unchanging:

And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.”  Then He took the cup, and when He had given thanks He gave it to them, and they all drank from it.  And He said to them, “This is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many. Mark 14:22-24

God cut with Abraham an inferior covenant  made with the blood of animals where all that Abraham was, all that he had or ever would have became the equal property of His  covenant partner. Nothing would be exclusively Abraham’s again.  During the covenant ceremony in Abraham’s day, the partners exchanged coats, each one giving their authority to the other. They exchanged weapons as a way of saying, “Your enemies are now my enemies. I’ll fight your fights as if they were my own.” They walked through the blood of slain animals, pronouncing their loyalty to one another, even to the death.  God had proven how intensely He desired to be God to him. He had given him every thing He had and bound Himself to Abraham in a relationship that could not be dissolved.

Well the good news is that God also cut with the sons and daughters of  Abraham, those of faith, a new and superior covenant established in Jesus’ blood as a result of His sacrifice that ratified our covenant with God.  A covenant where He gave us His Name (John 16:23), His authority (Matt. 28:18-20), His armor and weapons (Eph. 6:10-17). God’s word is unchanging:

Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers:  that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,  the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,  and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,  far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.  And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church,  which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. Ephesians 1:20-23

Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:9-11

As a result of what Jesus did on the Cross on Calvary, by faith everything is ours now.  Jesus Christ has substituted all things on the cross for us and exchanged it there for us. Our death, defeat and poverty and curses have been nailed to the Cross. On the Cross Jesus Christ not only won real victory and redemption over sin and death and the world, but also over the wicked arch enemy Satan and all his angels who had made the Cross necessary by what he did to Adam and Eve.

The enemy had deceived and entrapped Adam and Eve to sin against God and live a life that was cursed and full of toil and trouble.  But on the Cross Jesus Christ did the great exchange.  He exchanged His sinlessness for our sins, His righteousness for our unrighteousness, His strength for our weakness, His boundless supply for our needs, His stripes for our healing, His riches for our poverty, His victories for our defeats, His glory for our shame, His triumphs for our disappointments, His Honor for our nothingness, His prosperity for our lacks, His joy for our sadness, and His fullness for our emptiness. But all of this is also something that must be revealed to us by the Holy Spirit before we can understand and partake of it fully. Yet it is all our birthright and the blessing of the fullness of the gospel of Christ.

The message of the cross and the Gospel is not only that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures. He was buried and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. He is now is seated at the right hand of the Father with all power given unto Him in heaven and earth waiting for His enemies to be made His footstool.  But the message of the cross and the Gospel is also that as a result of the victories Jesus won on the cross, He has now given and shared all that He has with us (John 16:14) and He is also with and for us continually (Matthew 28:18-20).

God in Christ Jesus has literally become our inheritance and great reward; as well as everything else which we need, including our healer and deliverer. As result of the Cross, God said about Jesus and of us who have become strong and overcomers:

Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, And He shall divide the spoil with the strong, Because He poured out His soul unto death, And He was numbered with the transgressors, And He bore the sin of many, And made intercession for the transgressors. Isaiah 53:12

As a result of the cross, in Christ Jesus, we are rich, victorious and have a new life in Christ Jesus, as we walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh.  The empty Cross now also stands as a reminder and says to the world and to all the demons of Hell “You did your worst, but God gave His best.”  Now things are no longer the same, because Jesus is sitting at the right hand of the Father waiting for His enemies to be submitted to Him. He has also now given us the power to subdue all His and our enemies through the use of His name and Word and dependence of the Spirit. Hence the Cross is also a real testimony of what God’s power can do no matter what the Hell or injustice that the world or the devil will throw at us.  For Jesus’ resurrection after a cruel and awful death signifies the real possibility of total and complete victory in our lives, hearts and circumstances as well in the current time of life as we trust in God just like Jesus did.

The empty Cross of Christ at Calvary now says to you and I, that for every defeat there is victory in its place, for every failure there is success, for every endeavor there is prosperity, for every weakness there is grace, for every sickness there is healing, for every hatred there is love, for every injustice there is justice and for every poverty there is riches. All of this and much, much more belongs to each child of God because of what Jesus did and won on the Cross. Hence we can by the Holy Spirit understand what the Lord said to Apostle Paul:

“My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” (2 Corinthians 12:9-10)

Our strength and victory comes from God Himself and all the victories He had won for us on the Cross of Calvary. Although in the annuals of time and history, our Creator God died on the Cross-on Calvary, but He didn’t stay there. He arose triumphant and victorious over everything, over the worst that the devil or others could throw at or do to Him and to us.   Because of the cross of Christ, God has reconciled all things to Himself whether things on earth or things in heaven for Jesus having wiped out all the enemies of His people and especially the requirements that were against them, He has taken it out of the way having nailed to the cross.

The King of Kings and Lord of Lords with His unlimited and unimaginable power and riches was never poor or debased. But He chose, because of us, to leave behind his infinite power and riches become a man and identify and relate to humanity in all its sufferings and ways. God in Christ Jesus stripped Himself of His royalty and Kingship. He then became an ordinary man and walked with men doing by faith and dependence on the Holy Spirit the impossible such as healing the sick, raising the dead and cast out demons. He did it all to show that we can do it also. Then the innocent Son of man and Son of God went to a Cross-on a hill called Calvary where He bled and died for all of humanity. But the Cross-was not the end of Jesus Christ or life, it was the beginning of something new, a New Covenant or New Testament. It was the beginning of a new life and a new man and a new Spirit for those who would accept what Jesus had done for them. It was the beginning of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on all flesh. As a result God’s word was now true:

“But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:  ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God,  That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh;  Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,  Your young men shall see visions,  Your old men shall dream dreams.  And on My menservants and on My maidservants  I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy. I will show wonders in heaven above  And signs in the earth beneath:  Blood and fire and vapor of smoke.  The sun shall be turned into darkness,  And the moon into blood,  Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD.  And it shall come to pass  That whoever calls on the name of the LORD  Shall be saved.’ Joel 2:16-21

Now all flesh can be saved, healed and delivered and walk in the newness of life in the power of the Holy Spirit. All men can prophesy, speak in tongues and be filled with the fullness of God.  The good news of the Cross-is that the different victories that Jesus won there, and the resulting New Covenant with all its rights and privileges, is now ours to be claimed and accepted by faith. They will be true if we will only believe, accept, confess and act on it and then allow the Holy Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead to change us. Jesus won for us, on the Cross, such a victory with such power and might that it made hell tremble and Heaven sing with joy as the Triumph of Victory resounded from one part of Heaven to another. Our ears will tingle and our hearts will sing, as the faithful and mighty Holy Spirit reveals this victory to us.

The fact remains that Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of our faith, is sitting at the right hand of the throne of God, ready to use His power on behalf of the good of His true children; to make them more than conquerors in all things that the world, the flesh and the devil would throw at them. For His word is unchanging:

“And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. “Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. John 16:23-24

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

In the world lack of strength and dependence on others is considered weakness, but in the kingdom of God weakness that causes us to depend on and trust in the Lord is great strength and blessings. For it is when the power of Christ rest upon us, because of our weakness, that we are truly strong. As it is then that we rest upon the Lord and walk in the power of His might and Spirit and not our own. As we by faith tap into all the riches and resources of heaven which are now ours by Christ Jesus because of what Jesus Christ did on the cross two thousand years ago we become more than conquerors. It is when the power of Christ rest upon us, because of our weakness, that we are truly strong. For it is then that we rest upon the Lord and walk in the power of His might and Spirit and not our own.

Yes, as a result of the victories Jesus won on the cross we are now delivered from the hand of our enemies, and are able to serve the Lord without fear, in holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life. Just like Zacharias, the father of John the Baptist, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit stated about God and us:

“Blessed is the Lord God of Israel,  For He has visited and redeemed His people,  And has raised up a horn of salvation for us  In the house of His servant David,  As He spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets,  Who have been since the world began,  That we should be saved from our enemies  And from the hand of all who hate us,  To perform the mercy promised to our fathers  And to remember His holy covenant,   The oath which He swore to our father Abraham:  To grant us that we,  Being delivered from the hand of our enemies,  Might serve Him without fear,  In holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life.  Luke 1:68-75

The name of Jesus Christ is far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And God has put all things under His feet including sickness, defeat, poverty and lack and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body. So if it is under Jesus feet and we are His body it is therefore under our feet! And if it’s under believers feet then why do we allow negative things to raise their ugly heads in our lives? Because we really don’t believe that is all under Jesus feet. We are like the prodigal son who ended up in a pig’s pen even if his father was filthy rich. But then he came to his senses and realized what his father had and returned to his father and his negative circumstances changed.

How many of God’s people suffer needless in poverty, want or lack and with sickness or disease? Too many!  How long before they will look at themselves and say as the prodigal son who when he “came to himself” said, “I will arise and go to my Father!” God is waiting with opened arms to receive every penitent child! God is waiting with opened arms to touch, heal, deliver, and bless His children. They can can rely on Him to do what He has promised to do! We need to understand the reality of all the victories that Jesus won on the cross of Calvary. God’s word is unchanging:

Jesus departed from there, skirted the Sea of Galilee, and went up on the mountain and sat down there. Then great multitudes came to Him, having with them the lame, blind, mute, maimed, and many others; and they laid them down at Jesus’ feet, and He healed them.  So the multitude marveled when they saw the mute speaking, the maimed made whole, the lame walking, and the blind seeing; and they glorified the God of Israel. Matthew 15:29-31

Yes, the Word of God tells us that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever and we can be made whole through our faith in the finished work of Calvary where Jesus Christ wounded for our transgressions, was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Sin, sickness or any other curse doesn’t have to rule and reign in our lives because Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”) that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. (Galatians 3:13-14).

Jesus has provided for our healing, Spirit, Soul and Body in the atonement. All of the provision of the cross must impact the body of Christ. Jesus Paid the Price for our Healing – “By His Stripes”  (Isaiah 53:5, 1 Peter 2:24)  Hence we are anointed and sent to:  Preach the Good News to the Needy,  Bind up the Brokenhearted, Proclaim Freedom for the Captives, Release the Prisoners from Darkness,  Proclaim the Year of the LORD’s Favor, To Comfort all Who Mourn, To bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.  (Isaiah 61:1-3 and Luke 4:18)

God is alive and well and present today! Jesus is still healing people! The presence of God and the power of the Holy Spirit is a precious gift that we can experience and see many lives are being changed as desperate people come and find God’s grace and mercy flowing to them bringing healing and encouragement. The anointing increases as we are press in for more of God! Then we can see God save people, heal people, deliver people, baptize in the Holy Spirit, bring encouragement and strength through the gifts of the Spirit. Many can receive from the Lord healing for their physical, emotional and spiritual needs and live lives that are whole and successful.

God is love and freely gives everything we need, both for our material and for our spiritual existence. But because the blessings of God’s spirit are so freely given, we often take them for granted. If all people had open and receptive hearts, they could see and hear God’s voice at all times and in all places. But we have lost this awareness. Through prayer, we learn to appreciate spiritual gifts, gifts that are at least as important for life as air and water, heat and light.  Whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world-our faith. For when we have accepted Jesus Christ as Savior, Lord and King by the faith God gave us, the victory now resides in us and God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask, or thing. As God’s word is unchanging:

For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,  from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,  that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man,  that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,  may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height-  to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:14-21

It is a fact that according to the power that resides and works in us, God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think and give us one hundred percent victory, one hundred percent of the time, in one hundred percent of the situations. After all He is God, not man!  It is also a fact that Jesus, now as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, is no longer poor or weak anymore as He was when He walked the earth as man. He is now once again unlimited in power, riches, strength and might.  But the best news is that God wants to use all of His power, riches, and resources on our behalf and meet our needs: If we only will believe Him and trust Him to do it for us; If we will only humble ourselves and on a bent knee give Him our all and ask for His all.  Then we shall know the truth of God’s word which states:

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Romans 8:37

“Thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.” (2 Corinthians 2:14)

GRACE

The Philosophy of Grace

Everyone has a philosophy, and each philosophy brings forth fruit, whether good or bad. Because we live in the world, it is impossible to avoid contact with the many philosophies that are popular today. However, we must examine the origins of each of these ideas and values, and pay attention to where these beliefs came from. The values and beliefs we accept will ultimately control how we respond to situations, whether it is a right or wrong response. As Christians, we need a philosophy modeled after Jesus.
It is important to be aware of the thoughts that enter into our mind, and the conclusions we draw from them.
We should not let the world’s philosophies confuse or mislead us. Spiritually, we should be at war with worldly beliefs and values (Colossians 2:8, AMP).
We must be on guard not to the let the devil steal what Jesus has already given us through the shedding of His blood.
The philosophy that says we must work to earn God’s blessing is widespread today.
In God’s eyes, the world’s philosophies are idle fancies, nonsense, and vain deceit.
How we think determines what is in our heart (Proverbs 23:7).
Our thoughts affect who we are, what we do, and how we live.
In the book of Genesis, God created Adam like Himself, complete with His philosophy. The devil introduced his own philosophy, causing Adam and Eve to see themselves through another lens that stripped away what God gave them.
We must be careful what we let into our heart, because what we allow to take root and grow in it impacts our entire life (Proverbs 4:23).
Physically, we should make sure that everything we do is for the glory of God. Mentally, we must let the Word transform and renew our minds (Romans 12:1,2).
In other words, we should change our mind and embrace the philosophy of Grace.

Now, more than any other time in history, it is important to understand why things are happening the way they are in today’s society. We are not to judge what is occurring in the world, but rather we should continually refer to God’s Word to put current events into context. The word “philosophy” means more than just a class we take in college—it refers to our entire value system through which we view the world and everything taking place in it. Our philosophy is simply the lens though which we filter all that we experience, but if we use the wrong lens, what we see will be distorted. If the lens is not from the Word, it is wrong.
What we think determines not only our spiritual health, but also our earthly life.
We are warned against letting ourselves be swayed by worldly philosophy and vanity, as opposed to standing according to God’s philosophy (Colossians 2:8, AMP).
Just like in physical warfare, we should be at war and on guard against the world’s point of view.
The devil will use the world’s philosophies to steal from us what God has already given us.
The world’s ways of thinking are based on human tradition rather than on the spiritual realm. They disregard God’s Word.
In the Garden of Eden, the serpent was sneaky and distorted God’s Word when he encountered Eve. He questioned what God said and introduced the element of doubt (Genesis 3:1-5).
The devil slipped in his own philosophy, designed to rob Adam and Eve of what they already had.
What we think in our mind filters into our heart, and influences how we are (Proverbs 23:7).
We must guard our heart against the invasion of worldly philosophies. What enters into it affects the quality of our life (Proverbs 4:23).
When we use God’s Word to filter how we view life, we can handle trouble without distress, face challenges without falling into despair, and handle persecution without being destroyed (2 Corinthians 4:8, 9).
Anything that happens in our life will turn out right.
The battle we fight is not in the flesh, but in the spirit. The Word helps us overthrow and defeat the world’s philosophies (2 Corinthians 10:4).

Everyone has a philosophy, which is simply a set of values and beliefs through which we view the world. With that in mind, when we examine how philosophies are formed, we must ask ourselves how and where these ideas came from. As Believers, how we look at an issue is based on God’s Word, which we see as the final authority. Every philosophy produces fruit, and if that philosophy is not derived from the Word, it is a wrong philosophy which will lead to wrong conclusions.
What goes on in our head is important.
We must beware of the way the world’s philosophy affects our way of thinking (Colossians 2:8).
We should not let the devil steal what we already have.
God has already given us everything we need for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3).
We already have prosperity, healing, and deliverance.
The Scriptures warn us against letting ourselves be carried off as spoil by accepting philosophies contrary to Christ’s teachings (Colossians 2:8, AMP).
In the Old Testament, we see the devil getting an early start to try and set himself up against God.

In the beginning, God took man and put him into the Garden of Eden. He told Adam to eat from every tree in the garden except the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, or else he would die (Genesis 2:15-17).
At this time, man still had his coat of glory because he was like God.
The serpent came to Eve and introduced doubt into her mind as to whether or not God spoke the truth (Genesis 3:1-5).
Because Eve wasn’t present when Adam received his instructions firsthand from God, she was more vulnerable to the devil’s philosophies.
She added on to God’s warning, and spoke something that God did not originally say. The serpent took that opportunity to add his own twist to what God had commanded.

When we study the word “philosophy” and put it into a biblical context, remember that the ideas and values from the world, which is ruled by the devil, diametrically oppose God’s values. We should guard against letting the devil rob us of what God has already given us, namely, all the things we need to live a godly life. The enemy commits that robbery by using his philosophy as a weapon to infect our thoughts, causing us to change our mind about God’s Word. He convinces us to put worldly traditions over God’s truths, and twists what the Scriptures actually say into a completely different message. He also tries to infect the entire concept of repentance.
The philosophy we accept has everything to do with what enters our mind, and what is in our mind eventually enters into our heart.
We must beware of the influence the world’s philosophy and vain deceit can have on us. We should seek Christ over the world (Colossians 2:8).
After John was put in jail, Jesus preached the Word, warning the people to repent and believe (Mark 1:14, 15, AMP).
Real repentance is not just a change in behavior. It comes from inside of us, and it is triggered by a change of heart. Changed behavior is actually the fruit of repentance.
Repentance and belief are linked. They go together.
In order to have a change of heart, we must have a change of mind first.
We believe with our heart, and then verbally confess what is in our heart (Romans 10:10).
The thoughts we have in our mind determines what is in our heart. This, in turn, determines our actions and who we are (Proverbs 23:7).
What is in our heart affects our entire life. Therefore, we must be careful what we let enter into it (Proverbs 4:23).
God’s goodness leads to true repentance (Romans 2:4, AMP).
To repent is to change our mind and our inner person, so as to agree with His will.
We must give our mind and heart to God.

The devil has blinded the minds of those who do not believe the Gospel, so that they cannot transform or renew the way the Scriptures instruct us (2 Corinthians 4:4).
To serve God and be pleasing to Him, we must first change our mind, which is the first step to seeking true repentance (Romans 12:1, 2, AMP).
We can let God renew our mind and lift us above the world’s external, superficial customs. We must adopt a new attitude.
Real repentance involves changing the philosophy of our mind, aligning it with the Word.
Renewing the mind is a continuous lifetime process. It is constant, not static.
When we get born again, Christ Himself moves into us. Jesus is the One Who perfects us (Colossians 1:27, 28).
This makes us more than just an ordinary human being, although the devil will try to get us to think otherwise.
God’s will is for us to live in perpetual thanksgiving (1 Thessalonians 5:18, AMP).
Regardless of the circumstances, we are to give thanks, because we are now in Jesus and He is in us.
As Christians, we are partakers of the inheritance God has reserved for His children (Colossians 1:12, AMP).
We can give thanks that God has qualified us and made us worthy to share in the inheritance He has for His people.
We communicate our faith when we acknowledge all the good things in us because Jesus lives in us (Philemon 1:6, AMP).
Sharing our faith with others promotes a greater understanding of the good things Jesus establishes in us.

The philosophies that we hold are basically a set of opinions and values affecting how we view everything in life. Because we live in the world, we are constantly being bombarded with the world’s philosophies. However, as Christians, our philosophy should come from God’s Word. If not, we are at risk of constantly being swayed in one direction or another, according to popular opinion. We must get our information directly from the Bible, not the world.

The world’s philosophies will poison our mind, and there is a connection between our mind and our heart.
We are to beware and guard against the world’s philosophy (Colossians 2:8).
Following the world’s traditions nullifies the Word of God in our lives (Mark 7:13).
Whatever thoughts we harbor in our mind determines the way we become in our heart. Our heart is the sum total of what we think (Proverbs 23:7).
We change our life by first changing the way we think.
We must guard our heart carefully, because it determines our entire life (Proverbs 4:23).
The lost will not understand the Word. The devil has blinded the minds of those who do not believe the Truth (2 Corinthians 4:3, 4).
The enemy does not want people to see the light of the Gospel.
The Gospel is the actual power of God leading to salvation for all who believe, no matter who they are (Romans 1:16).
Power is the ability to get results over the devil.

We find grace and unchanging truth in God’s philosophy.
Paul wrote that nothing—not even his own life—was as important to him as finishing the course God had laid out for him, and preaching the Gospel of grace (Acts 20:24).
The gospel is the good news of His unmerited, unearned, undeserved favor.
Paul also wrote to the Galatians that he was amazed that some of them fell away from the Gospel of grace so quickly. They succumbed to the influence of worldly philosophy, which was a perversion of the truth (Galatians 1:6, 7).
We are prosperous, healed, saved, and delivered by grace.
God extends grace to us. We must keep uppermost in our mind that this gift is given to us because of Who He is, not because of anything we have done.
If something is received by grace, it is not of works anymore. Conversely, whatever is gained or earned through works is not by grace (Romans 11:6).
Grace operates under the concept of receiving something for nothing.
We need to protect our mind, and we must not lose hope. Jesus brings us grace. We must stay sober-minded and not let the world’s philosophies infect our mind (1 Peter 1:13, AMP).
We are instructed to be morally alert, and set our mind on God’s divine favor.
We are to present our body as a sacrifice to God by letting the Gospel transform our mind. We are again reminded to think soberly, and not let the world conform our mind to its way of thinking (Romans 12:1-3, AMP).
We should not let our mind be fashioned after the world’s external, superficial customs, but instead pattern our ideals and attitudes after God’s Word.
We are warned not to have an exaggerated opinion of our own importance. We should rate our abilities soberly, according to the faith God has given us.
The Scriptures tell us to be renewed in the spirit of our mind (Ephesians 4:23).
When we meditate long enough on the Word, our response to God is automatic. We do not even have to think consciously about how to respond.

GRACE

aa Grace for Life

Grace is multifaceted, and like God, has three active components. Grace leads to life eternal, but many do not understand how grace works. Jesus wants to help us in every area of our lives, and His ministry on earth demonstrated that repeatedly. The shedding of His blood and His death on the cross gave the benefits of His finished works to everyone. When He was raised from the dead and stood before men, whole and complete, He showed the world that we have the same blessings and promises available to us.

Jesus was full of grace. He is grace personified (John 1:14, 17).
The same grace that forgives our sins helps us to resist it.
The grace of God is not just for salvation, but also for transformation.
Grace is also given to work through us and touch someone else’s life and bless them.
There is a difference between saving grace, standing grace, and serving grace.
Saving grace is God working for us, doing things we cannot do on our own.
Standing grace is God working in us, to help us improve ourselves and resist temptation and sin.
Serving grace is an example of God working through us, using us to bless someone else.

We cannot save ourselves.
We are saved by grace, not by works (Ephesians 2:8, 9).
This grace is manifested by faith.
Another way of saying it is that we are delivered from judgment through free grace, which is a gift from God, not through our own striving (Ephesians 2:8, AMP).
Grace is unmerited, undeserved favor from God, and grace is manifested by faith. Therefore, we are saved by grace.
This makes us partakers of all the good things we do not deserve.
The Gospel is the power of God, which leads to being born again, wellness, wholeness, healing, deliverance, and prosperity (Romans 1:16).
This is available to all who believe.
We are not justified or made righteous by the Law, but rather by grace (Galatians 2:16).
We are saved by our faith in Jesus Christ, Who is Grace personified.
By grace we are everything that Jesus’ blood purchased for us. By grace we are all of the finished works of Jesus Christ.

Grace and faith are both powerful, but they should not be confused.
After Jesus died on the cross, three days later He appeared publicly, very much alive (Acts 4: 9, 10).
We can have the same wholeness as Him, Who is Grace, if we have faith in Him.
Paul preached the Gospel of grace, Who is Jesus (Acts 14:9).
This grace leads to faith, which results in healing.
It is by grace that we are healed, delivered, and made to prosper. Faith is the product of grace.
We cannot ever qualify for God’s blessings, no matter how hard we try.
We must have faith in the blessings, not in our qualifications for those blessings.
The thought that we can lay hold of God’s blessings through faith without grace can leave us feeling discouraged. Accepting God’s grace increases our faith.

Jesus will bless anyone and everyone who trusts and believes in Him.
When the blind men came to Him for healing, He first established their belief in Him. Then their healing was manifested (Matthew 9:28, 29).
The woman who had bled for 12 years was healed because of her faith in Grace (Mark 5: 25-34).
The Canaanite woman received healing and wholeness for her daughter. She persisted and praised Jesus even before the healing was manifested (Matthew 15: 22-28).
Even when we do not deserve His blessings, Christ makes us alive from sin and death (Ephesians 2:1-9).
Even when we are behaving at our worst, He still shows us His best (Romans 5:8).
God loves us so much, He didn’t even spare His own Son. Trust Jesus and believe Him, and experience manifestations of His goodness (Romans 8:32).

GRACE

20101103THE BIBLE TEACHES THAT AS BORN  AGAIN CHRISTIANS WE CAN HAVE THE SAME SPIRIT UPON US THAT WAS UPON JESUS, WE COULD BE STRONG IN THE LORD AND THE POWER OF HIS MIGHT, WE CAN DO THE SAME WORKS THAT JESUS DID AND THAT WE CAN HAVE THE MIND OF CHRIST SO THAT WE CAN BE MORE THAN CONQUERORS IN ALL THINGS:

Isaiah 11:1 There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots.
2  The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.
3  His delight is in the fear of the LORD, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears;
4  But with righteousness He shall judge the poor, And decide with equity for the meek of the earth; He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked.
5 Righteousness shall be the belt of His loins, And faithfulness the belt of His waist.

John 14:12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

1 CORINTHIANS 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.
13 These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one.
16 For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ

Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

2 Timothy 2:1 You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

REMEMBER THAT GRACE MEANS GOD’S RICHES AT CHRIST’S EXPENSE

GRACE

AB Grace in Spiritual Warfare

Spiritual warfare is not merely fighting with other people. It also involves fighting against wicked spiritual forces. Jesus won the war against the kingdom of darkness by sacrificing His life for us. However, although the war has been won, Satan still attacks us because of our identity in Christ. We do not have to lose our individual battles with the enemy. We will not be defeated when we remain steadfast in Jesus Christ, and believe in the promises of God and all that Jesus has accomplished for us.

“For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere” (Ephesians 6:12, AMP).
We are not merely fighting against physical opponents, but against wicked spiritual forces in the supernatural realm.
The enemy approaches us with deceitful strategies.
His goal is to ruin our lives.
However, the devil is a defeated foe. Jesus has guaranteed our victory in spiritual warfare.
In other words, we fight from victory, not for victory.
Although the battle is won, it doesn’t mean that Satan won’t try to attack us as individuals.
We are still a threat to his kingdom because of what the blood of Jesus has done for us.
The most important thing we can do in spiritual warfare is to remain steadfast regarding the promises of God, and all that Jesus had done for us.
“Put on God’s whole armor [the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies], that you may be able successfully to stand up against [all] the strategies and the deceits of the devil” (Ephesians 6:11, AMP).
In these spiritual battles, we cannot trust and rely on our own human abilities; we have to rely on Jesus.
“In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [be empowered through your union with Him]; draw your strength from Him [that strength which His boundless might provides]” (Ephesians 6:10, AMP).
When we trust our strength, we are no longer trusting in the finished works of Jesus, which include our salvation, deliverance, prosperity, healing, and preservation.
We draw our strength from Him, through our union with Him.

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8).
According to this scripture, the devil cannot devour everyone.
He cannot devour those who are truly remaining steadfast in Jesus Christ, and what He has done to give us the victory.
Many people think it’s humbling to be shy or fearful.
The biblical definition of humility is someone who is in agreement with God by agreeing with His Word.
A truly humble person according to God’s Word is one who has submitted himself or herself entirely to God.
“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you” (1 Peter 5:6, 7).
It is prideful to believe we can carry all the cares (or concerns) of our lives.
God resists the proud, and gives grace to the humble (1 Peter 5:5, Proverbs 3:34, James 4:6).
Grace is available even in the wilderness. Even when we are in a dry place in life, grace is there to provide (Jeremiah 31:1-3).

“For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me” (2 Corinthians 12:8, 9).
When we are weak, He is strong.
Likewise, when we are strong in our own way and human abilities, we may decide we don’t need His strength.
However, in the scripture above, Paul says he has learned to trust in Jesus’ strength, not his own human strength.
The devil can only succeed in his strategies against us when we trust in our own human abilities more than we trust God’s ability.

Grace: The Power of the Gospel

Many Christians have been taught that they can only achieve righteousness by serving God. However, we are made righteous through our faith in Jesus Christ, not our works. While our good deeds don’t make us righteous, righteous people do good deeds. For example, righteous people attend church, pray, and serve God, knowing that they are only righteous because of Jesus, not by what they do.

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith” (Romans 1:16-17).
Our righteousness is not revealed from good deed to good deed, but from faith to faith (Romans 1:16-19, AMP, Romans 4:1-8).
There is no other Gospel than the Gospel of Christ (Galatians 1:6-7).
The Gospel of Christ is synonymous to the Gospel of Grace and the Grace of God (Acts 20:24).
Everything we receive from the kingdom of God comes by grace.
The grace of God is the power of God unto salvation.
Our salvation encompasses more than our eternal life in Christ.
The Greek translation of salvation is sozo, which includes our healing, deliverance, prosperity, soundness, and preservation.

When we exalt ourselves because of our deeds and look down upon others because of our good deeds, we are self righteous (Luke 18:9-13).
None of us can earn or deserve the righteousness that the Father gives through Jesus Christ (Romans 9:30-32).

“What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?” (Romans 6:1-2).
At the point of salvation, we became new creatures in Christ. We are dead to sin. So, how can we continue sinning?
Christians who live sinful and immoral lives without conviction should examine whether their salvation prayer was authentic.
Many Christians, who are new to the faith, have yet to renew their minds with the Word.
New Believers will more than likely miss the mark more often because they are just beginning their walk of faith.
However, when we are saved, we have a “new root” as far as our identity is concerned.
In other words, our spirits are made new, and the Holy Spirit dwells inside of us.
The Holy Spirit convicts us of wrongdoing, and helps us make corrections.
We eventually produce new fruit (or results that the new spirit produces), which is also called the fruit of the Spirit.

GRACE

20120620God Gives Grace To The Humble

But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” James 4:6

Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” 1 Peter 5:5

Many of God’s people are crying out to God to bless them and don’t find an open heaven but trials and tribulations, many of which are caused by their own foolishness. It’s a fact that Apostle Paul suffered greatly when he became a Christian because he reaped what he had sown in murdering Christians especially Stephen. God is not to be mocked whatsoever a man sows so shall he reap applies to every one. And Apostle Peter told us:

Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.  Servants, be submissive to your masters with all fear, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the harsh.  For this is commendable, if because of conscience toward God one endures grief, suffering wrongfully. For what credit is it if, when you are beaten for your faults, you take it patiently? But when you do good and suffer, if you take it patiently, this is commendable before God.  For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps:  “Who committed no sin,  Nor was deceit found in His mouth”;  who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously;  who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness-by whose stripes you were healed. 1 Peter 2:17-24

And who is he who will harm you if you become followers of what is good?  But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. “And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.”  But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;  having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed.  For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. 1 Peter 3:13-17

If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified.  But let none of you suffer as a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or as a busybody in other people’s matters.  Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this matter.  For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?  Now  “If the righteous one is scarcely saved, Where will the ungodly and the sinner appear?” Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator. 1 Peter 4:14-19

There is no credit if you are beaten for your faults?  If you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed but if you suffer for being a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or as a busybody in other people’s matters there is no glory in this?  It is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil? We better wake up to the fact that God is not the cause of all of man’s suffering even though He works it all for good to them that love God and are called according to His purposes. Many sufferings are needless because God’s people don’t use their faith to be healed and delivered of them. God’s word is unchanging:

Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men! For He has broken the gates of bronze,  And cut the bars of iron in two. Fools, because of their transgression,  And because of their iniquities, were afflicted.  Their soul abhorred all manner of food,  And they drew near to the gates of death.  Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, And He saved them out of their distresses. He sent His word and healed them,  And delivered them from their destructions. Psalm 107:15-20

Why did God call these children of men fools? Because they were afflicted because of their transgression and their iniquities just like Jesus warned men about:

“For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.  “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.’  “But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’ shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of hell fire. “Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you,  “leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift. “Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are on the way with him, lest your adversary deliver you to the judge, the judge hand you over to the officer, and you be thrown into prison. Matthew 5:20-25

“And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted. Matthew 23:12

He has put down the mighty from their thrones, And exalted the lowly. Luke 1:52

Proud and arrogant ones don’t consider the possibility of the reality of the judgments of God upon them in the current time of life because they are after all Christians, the apple of God’s eyes and once saved always saved? They forget that that judgment begins in the house of God (1 Peter 4:7) and But above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath. But let your “Yes,” be “Yes,” and your “No,”  “No,” lest you fall into judgment (James 5;12). Yes we get into great trouble and tribulation by saying the wrong words in life.  And that is why wise King Solomon wrote and stated:

You are snared by the words of your mouth; You are taken by the words of your mouth. Proverbs 6:2

The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverse mouth I hate. Proverbs 8:13

Blessings are on the head of the righteous, But violence covers the mouth of the wicked. Proverbs 10:6

Wise people store up knowledge, But the mouth of the foolish is near destruction. Proverbs 10:14

He who guards his mouth preserves his life, But he who opens wide his lips shall have destruction. Proverbs 13:3

A proud and arrogant person has to have the last say in any matter and all things have to meet his approval otherwise it cannot be accepted or true. At the root of most stumbling through unbelief and disobedience (self-will) is that primary ingredient of man’s fallen nature which the scripture calls pride. We read in Proverbs 16:18 that “Pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a FALL,” Pride is simply the ADULATION of SELF, wanting to be a law unto oneself, independent, with a feeling of importance, and a desire for acclaim from others. There are DEGREES of pride, of course, and ALL of us have a measure of this problem whether we are willing to admit it or not. The very methods of God’s dealings with us from salvation on, are designed to strike at this root problem of our carnal nature, so that “no FLESH should glory in his presence” (1 Corinthians 1:29). Pride makes a person inflexible, unyielding, and unteachable, and through it one is deceived into trying to justify SELF in many ways.  Especially there is a tendency to maintain one’s own worth, works or merit, as a means of gaining favor with God, or acclaim in the sight of men.

Due to pride, which makes a person inflexible, unyielding, and unteachable and to act in ignorance, neglect or willful rejection, many of God’s people reject for today His healings, signs, wonders, miracles and tongues. These things recorded in the book of Acts are merely a sample of the things which Jesus began to do in working with His disciples through the power of the indwelling Holy Ghost after He had gone back to heaven.

It’s a fact that many of God’s people haven’t learn to keep their mouth shut because their pride and arrogance forces them to speak. They forget that a picture is worth a thousand words and a true anointing on a person speaks for the person and not his words! They forget that pride is one of the greatest of all sins and is a sin which God hates. As a matter of fact God goes out of the way to humble a proud person. God’s word is unchanging:

Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said: “Now prepare yourself like a man;  I will question you, and you shall answer Me: “Would you indeed annul My judgment?  Would you condemn Me that you may be justified?  Have you an arm like God?  Or can you thunder with a voice like His?  Then adorn yourself with majesty and splendor,  and array yourself with glory and beauty. Disperse the rage of your wrath;  Look on everyone who is proud, and humble him.  Look on everyone who is proud, and bring him low;  Tread down the wicked in their place.  Hide them in the dust together,  Bind their faces in hidden darkness.  Then I will also confess to you  That your own right hand can save you. Job 40:6-14

It is doubtless not profitable for me to boast. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord:  I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago-whether in the body I do not know, or whether out of the body I do not know, God knows-such a one was caught up to the third heaven.  And I know such a man-whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows-  how he was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.  Of such a one I will boast; yet of myself I will not boast, except in my infirmities.  For though I might desire to boast, I will not be a fool; for I will speak the truth. But I refrain, lest anyone should think of me above what he sees me to be or hears from me.   And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelation, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure.  Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me.  And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 2 Corinthians 12:1-9

Because Paul was a proud boastful person, a thorn in the flesh was given to him, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest he be exalted above measure. And this thorn was not removed from him even though he pleaded with the LORD three times because God contends with the proud and gives grace to the humble. The root cause of Paul’s demonic thorn was his pride and the fact that the LORD hates pride and arrogance, the evil way and the perverse mouth and pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. Hence less Paul be destroyed by it and take a great fall like many TV Evangelists and Pastors that we know, God purposely gave Paul a demonic thorn in the flesh lest being puffed up with pride he would fall into the same condemnation as the devil. Yes, pride was the number one sin that caused the devil to fall and causes many of God’s people to fall! God’s word is unchanging:

“How you are fallen from heaven,  O Lucifer, son of the morning!  How you are cut down to the ground,  You who weakened the nations!  For you have said in your heart:  ‘I will ascend into heaven,  I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation  On the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds,  I will be like the Most High.’  Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, To the lowest depths of the Pit. Isaiah 14:12-15

“For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.” Luke 14:14

Yes, it doesn’t pay for “whoever” to be proud at all because the rewards he shall receive even in the current time of life will be painful.   But for the HUMBLE AND MEEK, the good news is that the same LORD who healed Job and delivered him from all his suffering and sickness and restored to Him double all His losses hasn’t changed?  He is the same LORD who delivered Joseph out of all his troubles, and gave him favor and wisdom in the presence of Pharaoh, king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and his entire house? And what He has done for one He is able to do for another including perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle them after they have suffered for a while! God’s word is true:

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,  casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.  Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. 1 Peter 5:6-10

GRACE

DE
TODAY MEDITATE ON: NUMBERS 11:9

And when the dew fell on the camp in the night, the manna fell on it. – Numbers 11:9

GRACE FOR YOUR DARKEST MOMENTS

Look at today’s verse and notice that the manna fell on the camp of the Israelites during the night.

My friend, night speaks of the darkest moments in one’s life. This means that in your darkest moments, God is still supplying you His “manna” or grace. He has not abandoned you and left you to your own devices. No, He is still there with you, caring for you, watching over you and working things out for your good.

So beloved, rest in God’s love for you and let Him sort things out for you. Stop trying to solve the problem in your own strength and wisdom—let God be God to you. He is with you, for your success and will provide for your needs. His grace for you falls afresh every day. His mercies that are new every morning will also see you through the darkest nights!

Today, just see His grace upon you and all around you. Be conscious of it, thank Him for it, and see His grace do wonders for you!

WHAT DO YOU SEE?

‘…A great…door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.’ 1 Corinthians 16:9 NKJV

Paul writes, ‘For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.’ So, what are you focusing on? The open door or the adversaries – the opportunities or the obstacles? In 1866, an amateur geologist noticed some South African children playing with a glistening rock. He asked the children’s mother if he could purchase it. Thinking it was worth nothing, she gave it to him. Later, when he examined it, he discovered that it was a premium 21 carat diamond. When word got out, a Scottish mineralogist named James Gregory was sent to investigate. He reported back that South Africa wasn’t suitable for finding diamonds. He speculated that the previous discoveries had resulted from ostriches, of all things, eating the gems in distant lands and depositing them in South Africa via their dung. A few days after Gregory’s report was made public, an 83 carat diamond was found in the area he had visited. It is now known asThe Star of South Africa, and it launched the region’s first mining operation in what is today the world’s largest producer of diamonds. And what about Gregory? His name lives on, but not as he might have wished. In the diamond industry, when someone exhibits bad judgment, it’s called ‘pulling a Gregory’. If you ask God, He will help you find the ‘treasure’ in your field (Matthew 13:44-45). If Jesus could turn water into wine and feed five thousand people with a boy’s lunch, think what He can do through you. The question is: what do you see? The open door or the obstacles?

YES AND AMEN :

For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.” – 2 Corinthians 1:20, NKJV

Have you thought about the fact that God has already said “yes” to His promises in your life? You don’t have to beg God to be good to you. You don’t have to plead with Him to help you. God wants to help you. He wants to pour out His abundant blessing on your life.

Scripture says His promises are “yes and amen.” Amen means “so be it.” In other words, it’s a done deal. All you have to do is make sure you are living up to your end of the bargain. See, God’s love is unconditional, but we have to obey His commands in order to see His promises come to pass. For example, Malachi 3:10 says that we have to bring our tithe to Him in order to see the windows of heaven open. It says in Deuteronomy 5 that we are to honor our parents in order to live a long life.

The good news is that when we surrender our hearts to Him, He empowers us to fulfill every one of His commands. He equips us for every good work because He wants to see us live a blessed life. That’s why His promises are “yes” and “amen”!

NOTE:True prosperity is not wealth itself, but God’s favor, anointing, & power that work in your life to obtain it. – Deut. 8:18

Healing prayer – reach out for a miracle – John Mellor Ministries http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QODl95RS-LU

BE HOLY

DGBE HOLY

1 Peter 1:15 but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct,
16 because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”

Revelation 22:11 He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous still; he who is holy, let him be holy still.”

TO BE HOLY IS MORE THAN A STATE OF MIND OR AN ATTITUDE OF FAITH. TO BE HOLY IS TO NOT PRACTICE OR DEMONSTRATE THE WORKS OF THE FLESH

GALATIANS 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

HOLINESS DOESN’T COME JUST BY WISHFUL THINKING OR A MAGICAL PRAYER. YOU BY YOUR CHOICES AND ACTIONS PLAY AN INTEGRAL PART IN IT

2 Corinthians 7:1 Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Ephesians 4:24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

HOLINESS DOESN’T COME FROM JOSEPH PRINCE TEACHINGS OF GRACE

Prince teaches a so-called gospel devoid of Biblical repentance and based on mental assent, as he implies his heretical once saved always saved belief. Just pray a little prayer and you’re forever saved while in your sins. He brushes off the vital necessity of turning away from wickedness by misapplying the meaning of repentance and therefore doesn’t teach saving faith and its accompanying crucifying the flesh (Gal. 5:24). Joseph Prince stated:
Repentance just means changing your mind. When John the Baptist said, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!” he was essentially saying, “Change your mind, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!” (p. 233)

Permanent Righteousness Without Doing What Is Right
Joseph Prince teaches the typical eternal security imputed righteous message as his secret, which is glaringly lethal:
My friend, righteousness is a gift because of what Jesus has accomplished on the cross for you. All your sins – past, present and future – have been washed clean by His precious blood. You are completely forgiven and from the moment you received Jesus into your life, you will never be held liable for your sins ever again. You have been made as righteous as Jesus…. (pp. 28, 29)
He sees you clothed with Jesus’ righteousness. So begin to see yourself clothed in Jesus’ righteousness. (p. 29)
The more you realize that you are righteous, the more victory you will experience over sin! Wake up every morning and give thanks that you are the righteousness of God through Jesus Christ. (p. 31)
Is Jesus righteous before God? Yes! Then so are you. Is He accepted before God? Yes! Then so are you. Is He well-pleasing before God? Yes! Then so are you. (p. 58)
God cannot see your sins when they are covered by the blood. (p. 209)

Don’t uncover your sins or the sins of others. They have been completely forgiven by the blood of Jesus (p. 211).
When God looks at you, all He sees is the blood of Jesus that makes you completely righteous. (p. 251)

There is no argument that Jesus is our righteousness (Rom. 1:17; 1 Cor. 1:30; Phil. 3:9; etc.), but that righteous standing before God can change and has for some:
If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them. Of them the proverbs are true: “A dog returns to its vomit,” and, “A sow that is washed goes back to her wallowing in the mud.” (2 Pet 2:20-22)

PRAYER PERFECT PRAYERS

ABGOD IS IN IT WITH YOU :

Romans 8:28 – And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
Do you feel misunderstood and forsaken by the people you love? Have you been falsely accused and stripped of everything, without a dime to your name? Maybe today, you feel that you have hit rock bottom and you wonder if you can ever rise again.
Joseph, who was sold by his brothers into slavery (Genesis 37:28), went through all these experiences and emotions. Still, he was conscious that God was in it with him every step of the way. Though his life was a “mess”, he believed that it was not an accident. Though the things that were happening to him were not good, he believed that God was making all things work together for his good. And it was indeed so—Joseph eventually rose to occupy the most powerful position in Egypt, second only to Pharaoh. (Genesis 41:40)
Probably, this consciousness that God was in it with him was the reason he forgave his brothers when he met them again later in his life. Joseph told them, “But now, do not therefore be grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here; for God sent me before you to preserve life.” (Genesis 45:5)
So like Joseph, whatever you are facing now, be conscious that God is in it with you. Be Jesus-conscious. Though you may have nothing or not much now in the natural, the truth is that you have everything when you have Jesus!
The same Jesus who went around blessing others with 12 baskets full of leftovers, a net-breaking, boat-sinking load of fishes, and who never impoverished anybody, will empower you to succeed in life. The same Jesus who went about doing good will cause good to explode in your life. The same Jesus who went about healing the sick and never giving anyone sickness will keep you in divine health and protect you from harm.

Beloved, because “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8), as He was with Joseph, He is with you right now. And He will empower you to live the high life—the abundant life in which you will see God’s promises manifest!

Boast In God’s Grace For You!

…“He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 1:31

If someone asks you, “What must I do to inherit eternal life?” you would probably tell him, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved,” wouldn’t you?

Well, a rich, young ruler asked Jesus the same question, but instead of telling him to believe in Him, Jesus gave him the law. (Mark 10:17–22)

Jesus saw that the young ruler lived his life taking pride in his ability to keep the law to earn salvation and the favor of God. But because of His love for the man, Jesus had to show him that those who live by the law must realize that their self-efforts cannot save them.

He therefore reminded him, “You know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery… ‘Do not steal… ‘Honor your father and your mother.’” The young ruler showed that his trust was in his law-keeping when he replied, “Teacher, all these things I have kept from my youth.”

So Jesus had to tell him, “One thing you lack… sell whatever you have and give to the poor… and come… and follow Me.” When the young ruler heard that, he walked away sorrowful.

When we boast of having kept the law, it will always point out something we lack or have failed to obey. The law is so holy and perfect that if we don’t keep even one iota of it, it has no choice but to judge and curse us. (Galatians 3:10) That is what the law was designed to do.

God does not want us to boast in our abilities to keep the law. If we are to have confidence in anything at all, if we are to boast in anything at all, it is in the grace of God. Only His grace can completely keep, save, heal, deliver and bless us.

So let’s not boast in what we have done or are able to do, but boast in His grace for us — that He is our strength, health, favor, provision, wisdom, hope, salvation and glory. That is how we will see ourselves enjoying our inheritance of abundant life!

Thought For The Day

Only His grace, not our works, can save, keep, heal, deliver and bless us.

PRAY PERFECT PRAYERS IN THE SPIRIT :

Romans 8:27 – Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

Wouldn’t you like to pray effective prayers that are always in line with the will of God and which always hit the mark? Well, when you pray in the Spirit, you can.

You see, when we pray in English or our known language, and according to our limited understanding, we can pray amiss. Sometimes, our heads get in the way and we find ourselves asking, “Isn’t it selfish of me to pray like this?” or “Am I praying in line with God’s will?”

My friend, that is why God gives us the gift of praying in tongues. When we pray in tongues or in the Holy Spirit, we can never pray out of God’s will because the Holy Spirit “makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God”.

In other words, we pray perfect prayers in line with God’s will when we pray in tongues. And the Bible goes on to tell us that “if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him”. (1 John 5:14–15)

Isn’t it wonderful that God has put in you the Holy Spirit who prays perfectly? He knows the heart of God and precisely what you need. And He makes intercession for you because He loves you very much.

The Holy Spirit is like your lawyer or legal counselor. He knows what belongs to you legally. He knows what your blood-bought rights are in Christ. Best of all, He knows exactly how to enforce them in your life!

Beloved, when you pray in tongues, you allow the Holy Spirit to pray perfect prayers through you. He pleads your case before God. He knows where you have gone wrong and what the root of the problem is. He also has the wisdom, solution and power to win your case. With the Holy Spirit on your side, you cannot but come out victorious!

By Jesus’ Stripes You Are Healed

…The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5

You know, one of the biggest outcries against Mel Gibson’s movie, The Passion Of The Christ, was that it was too violent, especially the part where Jesus was scourged.

Let me tell you this: It was not violent enough! The Bible says that at the cross, Jesus’ visage was marred beyond that of any man. (Isaiah 52:14) In the movie, even after all the beatings, the actor James Caviezel, who played Jesus, still looked quite handsome.

But the reality is that when Jesus hung on the cross, He had “no form or comeliness… there is no beauty that we should desire Him”. (Isaiah 53:2) He was beaten to a pulp until His face looked like jelly hanging out!

In the movie, when they scourged Him, only a small portion of His bones was exposed, so it was still quite tidy. But the messianic psalms say, “The plowers plowed on my back; they made their furrows long” (Psalm 129:3), and “I can count all My bones. They look and stare at Me”. (Psalm 22:17) All His bones were exposed!

My friend, He was thinking of you when the soldiers tied Him to the scourging post. As they raised their whips, He said, “Let it all come on Me!”

But what came on Him was not just the whip stripping the flesh off His bare back, but your sicknesses and diseases. Each time He was whipped, every form of sickness and disease, including arthritis, cancer, diabetes, bird flu and dengue fever, came upon Him. “The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.”

Today, healing is your right because Jesus has paid the price for your healing. So if the devil says, “You cannot be healed,” just declare, “Jesus has paid for my healing. Disease has no right to be in my body. I am healed in Jesus’ name!”

Every curse of sickness that was supposed to fall on you fell on Jesus instead. He bore every one of those stripes, so that you can walk in divine health all the days of your life. The price has been paid so that you can rise up and get out of your bed of affliction!

Thought For The Day

Healing is your right because Jesus has paid the price for your healing.

GO IN THE POSSESS THE LAND

Only rebel not ye against the Lord, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defense is departed from them, and the Lord is with us: fear them not. – Numbers 14:9

Thousands of years ago, God told the children of Israel to go up and occupy the land that He had given them. He told them to take it, by force and without fear, from the ungodly ones who were dwelling there.

He’s still saying that today. God is still trying to get us, as His people, to take the good land He’s given us. He’s still trying to get us to use the power He’s given us to run the wicked one out.

You see, this earth doesn’t belong to the devil. It belongs to God (Ps. 24:1). The devil has just moved in and taken control of things because we believers haven’t stopped him.

That is our job, you know. Jesus took Satan’s legal rights away from him on Resurrection morning. Then Jesus put us in charge of enforcing Satan’s defeat. The Scripture says that Jesus is going to sit at the right hand of the Father until His enemies are made His footstool (Heb. 10:12-13). Do you know what that means? It means Jesus is waiting on us to kick the devil and his crew out of the affairs of this earth. He’s waiting on us to carry out the victory He won at Calvary and occupy this land.

But just like Israel had to rise up physically to take the land of Canaan, you and I have to rise up in the Spirit if we’re going to establish the dominion of God in the earth. We’re going to have to get moving. We can’t do it sitting down!

Listen, you may not know it, but we’re at war. We’re in a spiritual battle–and we’re winning. In fact, if you realized what was already established in the spirit world, you’d laugh at the devil every time he showed his face.

So today if the devil has control of an area of your life or your church or your community, rise up in the Spirit through faith and prayer and the Word and start taking that territory back. Don’t be afraid. His defense is departed from him. He has no weapon that can stand against you.

The Lord is with you. Rise up in the Name of Jesus and take back the land!

The Recipe for Continuous Victory and Success

And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified (Acts 20:32).

The Word of God is the building block we need as Christians to shape up our lives and become all that God has planned for us to be. This is because the Word has inherent ability to produce what it says. In Joshua 1:8, ever before Joshua could embark on the mission of leading the Jews into the Promised Land, God instructed him to meditate on the Word regularly and keep the Word in his mouth. He was to have the Word in his heart and in his mouth, and be completely taken over by the Word. That way, he would be careful to do the Word.

This was necessary because God had premised Joshua’s success on meditating on the Word. If this was true for Joshua, it’s all the more true for us today as Christians. The Word of God is what we need to live a successful, prosperous and victorious life. Thus, you shouldn’t allow any kind of failure in your life! God has given us His Word that’s able to make us successful, prosperous and victorious. Our responsibility is to think God’s thoughts; speak and live according to the Word.

God’s Word is our sure road map to a life of unending victories. So if as a Christian you’ve been experiencing consistent failures rather than victories in your life endeavours, what you need do is a Word-check. It might mean that you’re not living according to God’s Word. Now, that doesn’t mean you’re necessarily doing something wrong. It does mean however that there’re some important things you’re not doing. An example could be proper meditation on the Word; it’s a sure recipe for success. Praise the Lord!

WAKE UP

What is satan stealing from you? Is he stealing your health? Is he stealing your finances? Is he stealing your relationships? What area of your life is he targeting? Is he stealing your peace? Now is the time you must come to realize My children that he is defeated. He is a defeated foe. The ground that he stakes out in your life is not his. He is trespassing. Walk with Me and he cannot tag along.

Whatever you are fighting against right now, do not fight alone. Fight with Me by your side. He has already been defeated. In walking in unbelief you achieve his goal for him. You believe his lie and give him ground. He bases his existence in your life on a lie. My children must rise up against him now. My children must do battle against him now, he is a defeated foe. Instead of believing his lies, you must pick up your weapons and fight against him.

The battle is in your mind. Knowing that you are fighting against something or someone who has already been defeated is the most important tool. My army needs to come to life. my army needs to be fed this knowledge. He is done defeating My children. My children are called upon now to rise up against him and his minions. He can no longer take from, steal, ruin, or deceive any of My children.

Wake up My children to who you are in Me. I am the I AM, the creator of all things. He is nothing. Enough now, reclaim your territory. My children, I love you. You must fight to rest in Me, you must fight to rest.

God can and will heal your wounds; after all, His banner over you is love. (Song of Solomon 2:4)

God has delivered you before, hasn’t He? If He delivered you before, then you should be confident that He will come to your rescue again.

We cannot stand through the storms of life based on someone else’s faith. We must be fully assured in our own hearts and minds.

Do you know that giving to you actually brings joy to God’s heart? When you place a demand on Him to heal you or to provide for you, you let Him be God. When you draw on His fullness and His abundance of life, health and blessings, you delight His heart!

ALL THINGS ARE YOURS

BA

The Head And Body Are One

And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.     Colossians 1:18

God’s Word says that Christ is the head and we the church are His body. So Christ and the church are one. Christ and you are one! You cannot say that God sees Christ the head perfect but His body imperfect. Or that Christ is accepted but His body not accepted. The measure of Jesus’ acceptance with God is the measure of your acceptance with God!

So it makes no sense to say that the head is well but the body sick, that the head is rich but the body poor, or that the head is at rest but the body full of stress. My friend, what Jesus is before God, you His body are. As He is, so are you in this world! (1 John 4:17)

Today, God wants you to lay claim on Christ being your head. Start believing that all His perfections, and the delight and joy that He brings to the Father’s heart, He has set to your account. And you will begin to realize that as Jesus is a sweet-smelling aroma to the Father, so are you!

The more you begin to see that you are one with Christ, the more you will realize that whatever you need right now, He is dispensing to you. If you are sick in your body, Christ your head imparts His health and healing to you. If you lack wisdom, Christ your head freely imparts His wisdom to you. If you have any lack, Christ your head gives you His exceeding riches.

Beloved, have this rich revelation that Christ and you are one. You can never be separated from Christ your head from whom comes all the supply for your body — all the power, wisdom, prosperity and health. So declare, “As He is, so am I in this world!”

Thought For The Day

The measure of Jesus’ acceptance with God is the measure of your acceptance with God!

Heir Of The World Today

For the promise that he would be the heir of the world was not to Abraham or to his seed through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.Romans 4:13

God promised Abraham that he would be the heir of the world. Now, don’t be too quick to say, “Well, that promise was made only to Abraham and not me.” The verse says, “For the promise that he would be the heir of the world was not to Abraham or to his seed through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.” So the promise was not just made to Abraham, but to “his seed” as well, that is, you and I who belong to Christ — “And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” (Galatians 3:29)

Notice that God did not say that you would be the heir of the country you are living in, but heir of the world! The Greek word for “world” here is kosmos, which means the universe as well as the whole circle of earthly goods, endowments, riches, advantages and pleasures. All these are yours to inherit through the righteousness of faith in Jesus and His finished work at the cross. This righteousness is given to you as a gift from God, so you don’t have to earn it through good works.

For God to fulfill His promise, He has to prosper you. You can’t be the heir of the world and be poor or in debt! Not only that, He must keep you healthy because you can’t inherit the world when you are sick and always flat on your back.

Don’t listen to people who tell you that you will only get to enjoy these blessings when you get to heaven one fine day. Why would you need riches in heaven? There, even the streets are made of pure gold. (Revelation 21:21) And why would you need healing in heaven? There is no sickness there. So you need the health and wealth in the here and now!

Beloved, God wants you to be the heir of the world today. So lay hold of your rich inheritance today. Jesus paid for it with His blood. Don’t push it all to the sweet by and by!

Thought For The Day

You are an heir to the universe as well as the whole circle of earthly goods, endowments, riches, advantages and pleasures.

Joint Heirs With Christ Jesus

The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17and if children, then heirs — heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ…     Romans 8:16–17

As long as you are born again, you are no longer a “slave”, but a son of the Most High God. And God does not just call you His son. He also calls you “an heir” through Christ. (Galatians 4:7) In fact, Romans 8:17 says that you are “joint heirs” with Christ.

As a joint heir with Christ Jesus, you inherit everything that He is. How precious Jesus is to the Father, is how precious you are to the Father. The way the Father loves Jesus, is the way the Father loves you!

How accepted are you by God today? Look at Jesus. That is how accepted you are! Christ is the measure of your acceptance. How favored are you by God? Look at Jesus, who is seated at the Father’s right hand. You enjoy that same favor today because whatever Christ enjoys, you enjoy!

As a joint heir with Christ Jesus, you also inherit all that He has obtained from the Father. How much Jesus has, is how much you have. How prosperous is the one who made all things, and who put the gold, silver and diamonds in the earth? So are you in this world! (1 John 4:17)

I used to read the Bible to find out how to be a rich, successful and victorious Christian. But now, I read it to find out more about Jesus because I know that when I find Him, I find my every blessing in Him. (Ephesians 1:3, 2 Peter 1:3)

My friend, all that Jesus is in heaven today, you are in this world. All that belongs to Him belongs to you. That is why it is in your interest to know Him more, to see Him in all His glory and beauty. And because Jesus is so rich and glorious, it will take you a lifetime to discover everything that He has done for you and has for you.

Beloved, you are an heir of the Most High God. You are a joint heir with Christ Jesus. So find out all the blessings that your rich inheritance includes and start walking in them today!

Thought For The Day

All that Jesus is in heaven today, you are in this world.

Jesus Is Your Qualification For God’s Blessings

And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you…Deuteronomy 28:2

God loves to bless you. He has even declared that “blessings shall come upon you and overtake you”. This means that you can’t run fast enough to escape them! When you turn one corner, there is a blessing waiting for you. When you turn another corner, you run smack into another blessing!

Now, you may think that you don’t qualify for God’s blessings because of the preceding verse which says that these blessings will come to pass only if you diligently obey God’s voice and keep all of His commandments. You know that no matter how hard you try, you just cannot keep all of God’s commandments. In fact, the Bible says that if you fail to keep just one commandment, you fail to keep all. (James 2:10)

My friend, I have good news for you: Jesus is the one who qualifies us for every single blessing because He has kept all of God’s commandments. When He died for us on the cross, He not only fulfilled all of God’s commandments, He also redeemed us from the curse of the law. (Galatians 3:13) Note that He did not redeem us from the blessings of the law, so the blessings are still ours today!

As you read the list of blessings in Deuteronomy 28, starting with “Blessed shall you be in the city… in the country… the fruit of your body… your basket… when you come in… when you go out…” (Deuteronomy 28:3–13), I believe that Jesus is saying to you, “Like the blessings? Then take them by faith!”

You may say, “But I don’t deserve them.” Yes, you don’t deserve them, but you still get them because of Jesus. That is God’s grace! The law says, “You must deserve the blessings.” But the law is no longer here. Grace is here. So take the blessings by grace through faith. Believe God for the blessings.

Today, it is no longer a question of how much or how well you have kept God’s commandments. It is a question of how much you can believe God for His blessings. All the promises of God in Christ are “Yes”, and because you are in Christ, you can say “Amen!” to His blessings! (2 Corinthians 1:20)

Thought For The Day

Jesus is the one who qualifies us for every single blessing because He has kept all of God’s commandments.
