Be Of Good Cheer!

aa
Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the LORD delivers him out of them all. Psalm 34:19

“Make us glad according to the days in which You have afflicted us, the years in which we have seen evil.” Psalm 90:15

Jesus told us that in the world we would have afflictions or tribulation but we were to be of good cheer because He has overcome the world. The word of God tells us on numerous occasions to be strong and of good courage. “Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you” (Deuteronomy 31:6). “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9). To be strong and of good courage in a midst of trials and tribulations is a choice that a person makes no matter what is going on about him! Because of our faith in God we make a conscious choice to be strong and of good courage and to believe God that He is and will move on our behalf to change things! God’s word is unchanging:

“But you, be strong and do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded!” 2 Chronicles 15:7

“Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid nor dismayed before the king of Assyria, nor before all the multitude that is with him; for there are more with us than with him. 2 Chronicles 32:7

Say to those who are fearful-hearted, “Be strong, do not fear! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, With the recompense of God; He will come and save you.” Isaiah 35:4

Fear occurs when there is an absence of faith. Fear occurs when unbelief enters in and says that God is not God and that there is an enemy or problem that God cannot handle. But it’s nothing but a lie from the pits of hell for there is nothing that is bigger or greater than God. Those who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits and they will not be fearful. They shall be dependent on the power of the Holy Spirit just like Jesus did and trust the Holy Spirit to be and do all things for them. God’s word is unchanging:

“The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; Luke 4:18

Now it happened on a certain day, as He was teaching, that there were Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting by, who had come out of every town of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was present to heal them. Luke 5:17

And He was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted by Satan, and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered to Him. Mark 1:13

Yes, the power of the Lord and angels are not just a pie in the sky but real benefits of God given to and for His people. Angels minister to the heirs of salvation bringing them real help that they need including healing, wisdom, and miracles. God’s word is unchanging:

Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly. But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. “And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins.” Luke 1:18-21

Yes, the angel told Joseph a just man “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins.” Many of God’s people suffer things needlessly because they don’t avail themselves of the miracle working power of the Holy Spirit or the services of angels who are there to minister to them in their hour of need! Many Christians to their own demise rely only on the own understanding and the written word of God and ignore the supernatural help that is available to them constantly. Yet God’s word is unchanging:

And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?”

So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”

And Elisha prayed, and said, “LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

So when the Syrians came down to him, Elisha prayed to the LORD, and said, “Strike this people, I pray, with blindness.” And He struck them with blindness according to the word of Elisha. 2 Kings 6:15-18

Those who sow in tears Shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, Bearing seed for sowing, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, Bringing his sheaves with him. Psalm 126:5-6

I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” Genesis 12:2-3

Jesus Christ, our God of hope (Isaiah 53:4,5) bore all our sufferings, agony, transgressions, iniquities, weakness and sicknesses in His body and tasted death for the whole of mankind (Hebrews 2:9). The body and mind of our gracious Lord Jesus was ploughed. He was oppressed in every respect. He sowed Himself in tears for millions of people and allowed His body to be ploughed to death. Today, the fields are ready for harvest. People enter into the kingdom of God only through the sufferings of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Whatever we have sowed in tears and sorrow, we will reap them in great joy. We can look up to the Lord Jesus and pray with steadfast faith. He will do great and mighty deeds for us and make us a blessing for others. God’s word is unchanging:

But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. Matthew 8:26

So He stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. And immediately she arose and served them. Luke 4:39

Jesus Christ when He walked the earth as the Son of Man and the Son of God rebuked things. He rebuked the winds and the sea that were troubling the disciples and there came a great calm. When Peter’s mother was sick, He stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. And immediately she arose and served them. When a spirit seized the young boy and convulsed him so that he foamed at the mouth, Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, healed the child, and gave him back to his father. The bible records for our profit and instruction:

Now there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit. And he cried out, saying, “Let us alone! What have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? Did You come to destroy us? I know who You are-the Holy One of God!”

But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet, and come out of him!” And when the unclean spirit had convulsed him and cried out with a loud voice, he came out of him. Mark 1:23-26

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, “teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. Matthew 28:18-20

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. John 4:12

Whatever Jesus did, He promised those who believe in Him, they would do also and greater works they will do because He went back to the Father. So God’s anointed ones because Jesus is with them always have the authority and power to rebuke things, including sickness, diseases, infirmity, poverty and lack. They can command these things to go away and not come back. They can bind them and bring health and wealth to God’s people and proclaim it to come forth in Jesus name. God’s word is unchanging;

“Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. Matthew 18:18-19

It’s not God’s fault but man’s that he doesn’t use the power in the name of Jesus that God has given to men. Hence men suffer things needlessly because they don’t operate in the gifts of the Spirit and use the wisdom that God gives. But God’s word is unchanging:

There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots. The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD. His delight is in the fear of the LORD, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears; But with righteousness He shall judge the poor, And decide with equity for the meek of the earth; He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked. Isaiah 11:1-4

But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills. 1 Corinthians 12:7-11

Yes, God’s people can continually live and use the word of wisdom, the word of knowledge, faith, gift of healings, the working of miracles, prophesy, discernment, tongues and interpretation of tongues as they tap into the power of God for God’s word is unchanging:

“And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; “they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Mark 16:17-18

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Ephesians 6:10-13

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7

GRACE

DE
TODAY MEDITATE ON: NUMBERS 11:9

And when the dew fell on the camp in the night, the manna fell on it. – Numbers 11:9

GRACE FOR YOUR DARKEST MOMENTS

Look at today’s verse and notice that the manna fell on the camp of the Israelites during the night.

My friend, night speaks of the darkest moments in one’s life. This means that in your darkest moments, God is still supplying you His “manna” or grace. He has not abandoned you and left you to your own devices. No, He is still there with you, caring for you, watching over you and working things out for your good.

So beloved, rest in God’s love for you and let Him sort things out for you. Stop trying to solve the problem in your own strength and wisdom—let God be God to you. He is with you, for your success and will provide for your needs. His grace for you falls afresh every day. His mercies that are new every morning will also see you through the darkest nights!

Today, just see His grace upon you and all around you. Be conscious of it, thank Him for it, and see His grace do wonders for you!

WHAT DO YOU SEE?

‘…A great…door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.’ 1 Corinthians 16:9 NKJV

Paul writes, ‘For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.’ So, what are you focusing on? The open door or the adversaries – the opportunities or the obstacles? In 1866, an amateur geologist noticed some South African children playing with a glistening rock. He asked the children’s mother if he could purchase it. Thinking it was worth nothing, she gave it to him. Later, when he examined it, he discovered that it was a premium 21 carat diamond. When word got out, a Scottish mineralogist named James Gregory was sent to investigate. He reported back that South Africa wasn’t suitable for finding diamonds. He speculated that the previous discoveries had resulted from ostriches, of all things, eating the gems in distant lands and depositing them in South Africa via their dung. A few days after Gregory’s report was made public, an 83 carat diamond was found in the area he had visited. It is now known asThe Star of South Africa, and it launched the region’s first mining operation in what is today the world’s largest producer of diamonds. And what about Gregory? His name lives on, but not as he might have wished. In the diamond industry, when someone exhibits bad judgment, it’s called ‘pulling a Gregory’. If you ask God, He will help you find the ‘treasure’ in your field (Matthew 13:44-45). If Jesus could turn water into wine and feed five thousand people with a boy’s lunch, think what He can do through you. The question is: what do you see? The open door or the obstacles?

YES AND AMEN :

For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.” – 2 Corinthians 1:20, NKJV

Have you thought about the fact that God has already said “yes” to His promises in your life? You don’t have to beg God to be good to you. You don’t have to plead with Him to help you. God wants to help you. He wants to pour out His abundant blessing on your life.

Scripture says His promises are “yes and amen.” Amen means “so be it.” In other words, it’s a done deal. All you have to do is make sure you are living up to your end of the bargain. See, God’s love is unconditional, but we have to obey His commands in order to see His promises come to pass. For example, Malachi 3:10 says that we have to bring our tithe to Him in order to see the windows of heaven open. It says in Deuteronomy 5 that we are to honor our parents in order to live a long life.

The good news is that when we surrender our hearts to Him, He empowers us to fulfill every one of His commands. He equips us for every good work because He wants to see us live a blessed life. That’s why His promises are “yes” and “amen”!

NOTE:True prosperity is not wealth itself, but God’s favor, anointing, & power that work in your life to obtain it. – Deut. 8:18

BY FORCE

DF
DON’T PLAY DEAD :

From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. – Matthew 11:12
The Amplified Bible says, “A share in the heavenly kingdom is sought with most ardent zeal and intense exertion.”

I want you to get violent today. Yes, violent, determined, zealous. I want you to get so committed to the things of God that you’ll withstand any attempt to take them away from you.

Too many believers these days are like the Israelites. They’re wandering around in a wilderness of defeat because there’s an enemy in the Promised Land. They’re being robbed of their rightful inheritance because they’re afraid to fight him. They keep hoping that somehow they’ll find a way in without using force. But they won’t! You have to make demands where Satan and his associates are concerned.

When God sent the Israelites into Canaan, He said, “Send the armed men to go before you.” They were to go up armed–ready for the fight. He knew they’d have to fight to take the land. He never promised them that they wouldn’t. What He promised them was they’d win every time.

The same is true for you. You can’t just lie down and play dead when you’re dealing with the devil. He’s not going to let go of any area of your life–of your health or your finances or anything else–without a fight. He’s not going to give it up unless you force him.

Quit sitting there in the wilderness. Quit sitting there while the devil steals the blessings of God out from under you. You have God’s permission and His power and His ability to take the land. Get violent enough to do something about it…today!

THROUGH FAITH AND PATIENCE :

…imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised. – Hebrews 6:12, NIV

In our culture today, people are used to getting things right away. We’ve been programmed for immediacy. People don’t like to wait. But the scripture says, “It’s through faith and patience that we inherit God’s promises.” Sometimes, it’s easy for people to have faith. We declare, “God, I believe I’m going to accomplish my dreams. God, I believe I’m going to overcome this obstacle.” But, it gets harder when we have to walk in patience. When you pray, can you say, “God, I not only believe for big things, but I trust Your timing. God, I’m not going to get discouraged if it doesn’t happen immediately. I’m not going to give up because it’s taken a week, a month or five years. I know the set time is already in my future, so I’m going to wait with faith and patience because I know that it’s on the way.”

Remember, through faith and patience we inherit His promises. Trust His Word, trust His timing and trust that your answer is on its way!

IT’S VERY DANGEROUS TO HAVE YOUR THEOLOGY TAUGHT BY PEOPLE INSTEAD OF GOD NO MATTER HOW NICE THE PEOPLE ARE! GET EVERYTHING CHECKED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT!

JOHN 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.
8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
9 of sin, because they do not believe in Me;
10 of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more;
11 of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.
12 “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.
13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.
14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.
15 All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.

It is never the will of God for one person to dominate another. In any situation where one person dominates another, the force that enables that person to do so is evil. It is never the will of God for a husband to dominate his wife or a wife to dominate her husband or parents to dominate children or a minister to dominate his congregation. Any time that you get domination by one person over another, the force behind it is evil.

Battling Demons

AIJesus went to church and cast an unclean  spirit out of a man. This event amazed those present. They said, “For with authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits and they do obey him. And immediately his fame spread abroad throughout all the region round about Galilee” (Mark 1:27-28). We all want to see the honor of our Lord spread.

Jesus didn’t waste any time flowing in Holy Ghost power after the Spirit of the Lord came upon him. At the River Jordan Jesus was baptized by John. John was the last of the Old Testament prophets. I consider him a transitional prophet. Today’s prophets, five-fold ascension gift prophets, are of a different order, the order of Melchizedek (Ephesians 4:11). During this baptism of water the heavens were opened unto him and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him” (Matthew 3:16). This baptism is the start of Christ’s ministry. Christ means the anointed one. Jesus did not anoint himself. He was anointed by the Holy Ghost. This is when the anointing came on him.

HOLY GHOST MINISTRY ACTIVATION

The Holy Ghost coming on Jesus activated his ministry. It will put your ministry in motion too. In the church an unclean spirit spoke saying “let us alone” (Mark 1:23-28). “Unclean”, Greek akathartos, means morally corrupted, sexually perverted, debased, lustful, lewd in thought and life. Jesus rebuked it and cast it out. In other words he told it to shut up and come out of the man. This unclean spirit is also known as a pneuma spirit.

There are several demonic pneuma spirits mentioned in scripture including: Pneuma poneron, an evil spirit (Acts 19:15). Pneuma python, a python spirit or spirit of divination (Acts 16:16). Pneuma plana, a seducing spirit or spirit of error (1 Timothy 4:1). Pneuma astheneias, the spirit of infirmity (Luke 13:11). Pneuma alalon, a dumb spirit, one without speech (Mark 9:17). Pneuma akathartos, an unclean spirit (Mark 1:23).

Christ did not ignore this unclean spirit, he cast it out. Christ never taught his followers to ignore demonic spirits. He modeled the way for us regarding confrontations with demon powers and healing the sick. Scripture declares, “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested that he might destroy the works of the devil” (1 John 3:8).

WAIT FOR THE PROMISE

When Holy Ghost anointing falls so do blessings, miracles, breakthroughs, demonic confrontations, healings and deliverance. Christ did not perform any miracles, heal any sick, raise any dead, or cast out any devils until the anointing of the Holy Ghost came on him. This is why He told his disciples after his resurrection to wait for the promise of the Father, the gift of the Holy Ghost (Acts 1:4). That gift would endue them with power, the same power that launched Christ into ministry, cast out devils, healed the sick, and performed mighty signs and miracles among the people. These waiting believers and later others were baptized with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues (Acts 2:1-8; 8:14-18; 10:45-46; 19:5-6). They were ready to cast out devils, heal the sick and testify of the resurrection of Christ.

Word got out that Jesus was anointed by the Holy Ghost. He was the Son of God with power. Multitudes followed him and were healed of sickness and delivered from demon powers. “For he had healed many; insomuch that they pressed upon him for to touch him, as many as had plagues. And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God” (Mark 3:10-11).

A HOUSE DIVIDED

A house divided cannot stand and demon spirits cannot cast out demon spirits. Another time Jesus cast a deaf spirit out of a person. Afterwards he was accused of casting out devils through Beelzebub the chief among devils. “And he was casting out a devil, and it was dumb. And it came to pass, when the devil was gone out, the dumb spake and the people wondered. But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils” (Luke 11:14-15). Instead of these religious rejoicing over the miracle of deliverance and healing they moved into false accusation against the King of kings. They were treading on dangerous turf, blaspheming the Holy Ghost. Blaspheming the Holy Ghost happens when people “continually practice” calling the wonderful works of the Holy Spirit the works of Satan.

Beelzebub was known as the chief of devils and lord of unclean spirits. This is like saying Jesus cast out devils by the power of Satan. Jesus responded by asking, “How can Satan cast out Satan? And if a kingdom be divided against itself that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house be divided against itself that house cannot stand. And if Satan rise up against himself and be divided he cannot stand but hath an end” (Mark 3:23-26). Notice how Jesus answered:

  • Satan cannot cast out Satan.
  • A kingdom divided against itself cannot stand.
  • A house divided against itself cannot stand.
  • If Satan attacks himself he is divided and cannot stand.

A “house divided” can also mean a family divided or a family of devils divided. “And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils by whom do your children cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges” (Matthew 12:27). The answer is these religious accusers were not casting out demons or healing the sick therefore the fruit of their own ministries would judge them.

The bottom line is that Satan cannot cast out Satan. An unclean spirit cannot cast out an unclean spirit. A wicked spirit cannot cast out a wicked spirit. An evil spirit cannot cast out an evil spirit. Nor can a spirit of sickness cast out a spirit of sickness. Scripture confirms, “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth” (Philippians 2:10).

EARLY CHURCH AND DELIVERANCE

The apostles of Christ and the early Church fathers cast out devils and healed the sick. They taught that all believers were given spiritual authority by Christ and equipped by the power of the Holy Ghost to cast out spirits and heal all manners of sickness:

  • They knew demons and evils spirits existed.
  • They understood that demons possessed, influenced, and made people sick.
  • They taught that Christ gave His disciples authority over all devils.
  • They knew devils had no choice but obey the name of Jesus.

Tertullian, (160-220 AD) was an early church father and defender of the Christian faith. In “Apology of Tertullian” he responds to “treason against the gods” in a letter to Emperor Marcus Aurelius Antoninus and the Roman Senate. In his defense of Christianity he emphasized power over demons (and the gods of Rome) through the name of Christ.

How demonic spirits inflict diseases and stir up mischief.
“It will be sufficient to my purpose to explain their operations, or their ways of acting upon the sons of men. I say, then, that the ruin of mankind is their whole employment; these malicious spirits were bent upon mischief from the beginning, and fatally auspicious in their first attempt, in undoing man as soon as he was made; and in like manner they practice the same destructive methods upon all his posterity, by inflicting diseases upon their bodies, and throwing them into sad disasters, and stirring up sudden tempests and preternatural (abnormal) emotions in the soul; and they are fitted by nature for both these kinds of evil, the subtlety (difficult to detect) and fineness of their substance giving them an easy access to body and soul both. These spirits certainly have great abilities for mischief.”

Philosophy (school of thought or belief system) is not what demons respond but the name of Christ.
“Philosopher is a name the devils value not; they stand in no awe of a philosopher’s beard, nor will the hem of his pallium (garment) cure any diseases. But Christians did not only outlive them in virtue, but outdid them in power. For Christ was a name that made the very devils tremble; a thing which the philosophers with all their mighty wisdom were so far from pretending to, that they worshipped those very demons next to their gods. So that Christianity and philosophy differ just as much as heaven and earth, as a name that can do everything, and a mere empty title.”

All authority and power over devils is in the name of Christ.
“All the authority and power we have over them is from our naming the name of Christ and recalling to their memory the woes with which God threatens them at the hand of Christ their judge, and which they expect one day to overtake them. Fearing Christ in God and God in Christ, they become subject to the servants of God and Christ. So at one touch and breathing, overwhelmed by the thought and realization of those judgment fires, they leave at our command the bodies they have entered, unwilling and distressed, and before your very eyes, put to an open shame.”

Justin Martyr, (103-165AD) was a second century Christian writer. In his letter to the Roman Senate, he wrote about healing the sick and having power over demon spirits.

Demon spirits sow murders, wars, adulteries, extreme behaviors, and all kinds of wickedness.
“God, when He had made the whole world, and subjected things earthly to man, and arranged the heavenly elements for the increase of fruits and rotation of the seasons, and appointed this divine law–for these things also He evidently made for man–committed the care of men and of all things under heaven to angels whom He appointed over them. But the angels transgressed this appointment. and were captivated by love of women, and begat children who are those that are called demons; and besides, they afterwards subdued the human race to themselves, partly by magical writings, and partly by fears and the punishments they occasioned, and partly by teaching them to offer sacrifices, and incense, and libations, of which things they stood in need after they were enslaved by lustful passions; and among men they sowed murders, wars, adulteries, intemperate deeds, and all wickedness.”

Deliverance was common with “many of our Christian men exorcising demons in the name of Jesus Christ.”
“Numberless demoniacs throughout the whole world and in your city, many of our Christian men, exorcising them in the name of Jesus Christ who was crucified under Pontius Pilate, have healed and do heal, rendering helpless, and driving the possessing demon out of the men though they could not be cured by all other exorcists and those who use incantations and drugs.”

Cyprian was Bishop of Carthage, modern Tunis wedged between Algeria and Libya in North Africa, and died September 14, 258 AD. Cyprian was introduced into magic and sorcery by his parents but later converted to Christianity.

He wrote that evil spirits “immediately obey us” and are cast out.
“Nevertheless these evil spirits adjured by the living God immediately obey us, submit to us, own our power, and are forced to come out of the bodies they possess.” and healing the sick was common and practiced by the followers of Christ throughout the world in the first and second century. When Christ called his disciples he “gave them authority over unclean spirits to cast them out and to preach the gospel” (Matthew 10:1), to “bind the strong man” (Mark 3:27), and then to take his goods. The goods were captive people harassed and made sick by demonic powers.

Jesus taught when unclean, vexing, harassing, tormenting or demonizing spirits are cast out of people the Kingdom of God is manifesting. “But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you” (Luke 11:20). Deliverance is the children’s bread.

If we want what the early church had then we have to preach what the early church preached. You have been given spiritual authority to cast out demons and heal the sick in the mighty name of Jesus. Use your authority just as the early disciples and early church fathers.

REJOICE IN THE LORD – ALWAYS :

John 16:33 “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

The world experiences joy and happiness in direct proportion to their circumstances. Bad circumstances produce depression and sorrow, while good circumstances produce joy and peace. That’s bondage, and does not have to be the case for a Christian. Our joy is not dependent on things, but rather on the person of Jesus Christ. He is our peace and joy.

The way we take advantage of this joy and peace in the midst of tribulation, is to have our minds and hearts stayed on things above and not on things of this earth. The invisible things of God are eternal while the visible problems on earth are only temporary. All the problems of this life grow very dim when we compare them to the glory of God that is ours through Jesus.

We can rejoice in the Lord always (Phil. 4:4) because rejoicing is an action, not a reaction to our environment. Joy is a gift from God that was given to us at salvation. It was placed within our born-again spirit and it doesn’t fluctuate or diminish; it is constant. The Lord has put the joy inside us and we are to “work it out” by choosing to obey this command in scripture.

We are commanded to rejoice “IN THE LORD.” Many people are not experiencing true joy because their joy is in their circumstances. That is, they are waiting to rejoice when things in their lives are going good, and that doesn’t happen very often. We are suppose to “rejoice in the Lord always.”

That means we are suppose to rejoice in who the Lord is and what He has done for us. He never changes (Heb. 13:8) and His mercies and compassions are new every morning (Lam. 3:22-23).

NOTE:
God has far more for all of us than we are experiencing… Don’t settle for less, Receive God’s Best Today!

It’s Your Decision

And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw [Jesus],he fell at his feet, And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live. And Jesus went with him. – Mark 5:22-24

I wonder when God is going to do something about this problem! Have you ever asked that question? If so, you may be surprised to find out that the answer depends 100 percent on you.

There’s an incident in Mark 5 that will show you what I mean. Jesus had just gotten out of a boat and people were pressing all around Him, “thronging Him,” it says. They had Him shoved up against the shoreline when suddenly there came a man moving through that crowd to get to Jesus.

Throwing himself at Jesus’ feet, Mark records, he prays and beseeches Him greatly, saying, “My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her… and she shall live.”

Think about this situation for a moment. Here’s a man that’s politically on the level of the mayor of the city. But he’s so doggedly determined to get to Jesus that he fights his way through the crowd and clears out enough room to fall at Jesus’ feet. He’s made a decision–and when he gets to Jesus, he says exactly what it is: Lay your hands on her and she shall live.

Let me ask you something: Who do you think is directing the ministry of Jesus here? This one man! A man who’s made a decision. When he speaks that decision out, Jesus doesn’t say anything. He just stops what He’s doing, turns around and follows him.

In a crowd of literally thousands, the faith decision of one man is directing the actions of Jesus.

What does that mean to you? It means that if you’re sitting around waiting for Jesus to decide to heal you… for Jesus to decide to help you…for Jesus to decide to prosper you and give you victory…you’re in for a long wait. Because that’s not Jesus’ decision.

It’s yours

Healing prayer – reach out for a miracle – John Mellor Ministries http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QODl95RS-LU

YOU WILL RECEIVE

CD
“Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. Matthew 18:19-9

“And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.” Matthew 21:22

God is faithful and eager to perform His Word in our life (Jeremiah 1:12) and His Angels who excel in strength, who do His word, heeding the voice of His word are more than able to make it all so (Psalm 103:20). But we must stand and confess God’s word and call things forth just like God did and Jesus did. Yes, they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses. He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions (Psalm 107:20). God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did, (Romans 4:17) is mindful of us and He is perfecting everything that concerns us (Psalm 138:8). His word is unchanging to His true ones:

Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” Then said I: “Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, I cannot speak, for I am a youth.” But the LORD said to me: “Do not say, ‘I am a youth,’ For you shall go to all to whom I send you, And whatever I command you, you shall speak. Do not be afraid of their faces, For I am with you to deliver you,” says the LORD. Then the LORD put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the LORD said to me: “Behold, I have put My words in your mouth. See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, To root out and to pull down, To destroy and to throw down, To build and to plant.” Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying, “Jeremiah, what do you see?” And I said, “I see a branch of an almond tree.” Then the LORD said to me, “You have seen well, for I am ready to perform My word.” And the word of the LORD came to me the second time, saying, “What do you see?” And I said, “I see a boiling pot, and it is facing away from the north.”

Then the LORD said to me: “Out of the north calamity shall break forth On all the inhabitants of the land. For behold, I am calling All the families of the kingdoms of the north,” says the LORD; “They shall come and each one set his throne At the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem, Against all its walls all around, And against all the cities of Judah. I will utter My judgments Against them concerning all their wickedness, Because they have forsaken Me, Burned incense to other gods, And worshiped the works of their own hands. “Therefore prepare yourself and arise, And speak to them all that I command you. Do not be dismayed before their faces, Lest I dismay you before them. For behold, I have made you this day A fortified city and an iron pillar, And bronze walls against the whole land- Against the kings of Judah, Against its princes, Against its priests, And against the people of the land. They will fight against you, But they shall not prevail against you. For I am with you,” says the LORD, “to deliver you.” Jeremiah 1:4- 19

Yes the Lord has put His words in our mouth and we can speak the words He have give us against the whole land- against the kings, against its princes, against its priests, and against the people of the land. He has set us the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out and to pull down, to destroy and to throw down, to build and to plant. He is with us to deliver us and give us the victory! His word is unchanging:

“Then I said to you, ‘Do not be terrified, or afraid of them. ‘The LORD your God, who goes before you, He will fight for you, according to all He did for you in Egypt before your eyes, ‘and in the wilderness where you saw how the LORD your God carried you, as a man carries his son, in all the way that you went until you came to this place.’ Deuteronomy 1:29-31

“When you go out to battle against your enemies, and see horses and chariots and people more numerous than you, do not be afraid of them; for the LORD your God is with you, who brought you up from the land of Egypt. “So it shall be, when you are on the verge of battle, that the priest shall approach and speak to the people. “And he shall say to them, ‘Hear, O Israel: Today you are on the verge of battle with your enemies. Do not let your heart faint, do not be afraid, and do not tremble or be terrified because of them; ‘for the LORD your God is He who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.'(to give you victory)!

And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen. Romans 16:20

God who doesn’t know the word defeat has promised Victory to His trusting ones and He will give them victory and crush Satan under their feet and they shall tread the high places of their enemies for they have God’s word on it (Deuteronomy 33:26-29, ) God’s word is unchanging:

He will guard the feet of His saints, But the wicked shall be silent in darkness. “For by strength no man shall prevail. The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken in pieces; From heaven He will thunder against them. The LORD will judge the ends of the earth. “He will give strength to His king, And exalt the horn of His anointed.” 1 Samuel 2:9-10

Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. “This day the LORD will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you. And this day I will give the carcasses of the camp of the Philistines to the birds of the air and the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. “Then all this assembly shall know that the LORD does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the LORD’S, and He will give you into our hands.” So it was, when the Philistine arose and came and drew near to meet David, that David hastened and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine. Then David put his hand in his bag and took out a stone; and he slung it and struck the Philistine in his forehead, so that the stone sank into his forehead, and he fell on his face to the earth. So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone, and struck the Philistine and killed him. But there was no sword in the hand of David. Therefore David ran and stood over the Philistine, took his sword and drew it out of its sheath and killed him, and cut off his head with it. And when the Philistines saw that their champion was dead, they fled. 1 Samuel 17:45-51

Then Zerah the Ethiopian came out against them with an army of a million men and three hundred chariots, and he came to Mareshah. So Asa went out against him, and they set the troops in battle array in the Valley of Zephathah at Mareshah. And Asa cried out to the LORD his God, and said, “LORD, it is nothing for You to help, whether with many or with those who have no power; help us, O LORD our God, for we rest on You, and in Your name we go against this multitude. O LORD, You are our God; do not let man prevail against You!” So the LORD struck the Ethiopians before Asa and Judah, and the Ethiopians fled. And Asa and the people who were with him pursued them to Gerar. So the Ethiopians were overthrown, and they could not recover, for they were broken before the LORD and His army. And they carried away very much spoil. Then they defeated all the cities around Gerar, for the fear of the LORD came upon them; and they plundered all the cities, for there was exceedingly much spoil in them. They also attacked the livestock enclosures, and carried off sheep and camels in abundance, and returned to Jerusalem. 2 Chronicles 14:9-15

BAPTISM OF THE SPIRIT

AFThe Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the “Signs Following” (Mk. 16: 17 – 18) was also central to the Methodist Revival with John Wesley and through out the world as they sent their preachers and evangelist to other countries. When the evangelist, George Whitfield who was a friend of John & Charles Wesley, in the USA, heard reports about what was happening in Great Britain in Wesley’s ministry, he wrote him a letter about the “strange happenings” that he had heard about. Wesley wrote him a letter in which he confirmed the news. He wrote, “People fell down unredeemed and rose up redeemed. People fell down under the power of the Holy Ghost and stood up speaking in new tongues. People fell down sick and in pain and rose up healed. People fell down demon possessed and rose up in their right minds praising God.” And, he said that they had physicians there to confirm the work of God. He invited George Whitfield to come and preach at one of his meetings in England and when he returned home to carry on his evangelistic ministry the same “strange happenings” began in his meetings.

A couple of years ago, one of my friends who lived in Owen Sound and who was born in Scotland but was brought to Canada went back to his birth place and went to the Presbyterian Church and asked the pastor if he could look through the Church records so he could find out something about his ancestors. He found recorded in the Session (elders) Records going back over 50 years some mention of his ancestors. He discovered that the Elders Records contained the records of people who were saved & Baptized with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues & reports of healing & deliverance.

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit was also a part of the USA history in most of the churches up to and after the Civil War. I have a picture from a history Book about the Civil War showing a typical revival meeting with people being slain in the Spirit and speaking in tongues and and miracles were all part of most of the Church Ministries with some exceptions, of course. Asuza Street was not an exception. At the time when Asuza Street was happening, the Holy Spirit was being poured out in countries all around the world.

And, Canada was no exception. In an Hamilton Newspaper there were front page reports about revival where hundreds of people were being saved & Baptized with the Holy Spirit. Many of them went for many weeks. This was happening all across Canada where newspapers were reporting about the amazing revivals.

In fact, Canada’s first Prime Minister, John A. MacDonald, who was an absolute drunk, attended a revival meeting, conducted by a Methodist Evangelist, in Kingston, ON, where he was saved & baptized with the Holy Spirit and stopped drinking. It was said of him by some of the Members of Parliament that they liked him better when he was a drunk. Most of the history of the outpourings of the Holy Spirit with Signs, Wonders & Miracles have been ignored and as one Canadian Baptist Historian said those meetings were ignored as if they had never happened because the so-called historians were in churches that did not believe that God would or could do those things today. And, by the way, in several cities & towns, in Canada, our meetings were on the front pages of the local newspapers. One time in North Battleford, SK, the owner of the local newspaper daughter was healed of cancer and Baptized with the Holy Spirit and he put reports of our meetings which encouraged many people to come.

During the 1960’s the Holy Spirit was being poured out into many of the Denominations in the USA but the work of the Holy Spirit was trying to be suppressed by most of the churches who began to remove pastors from their churches in what was called the Charismatic Movement of the Holy Spirit. However, the Presbyterian Church in the USA, set up a committee to examine what was happening in their churches. They consulted the best of their Professors about this: New & Old Testament, Counsellors, Theologians, Historians & anybody whom they thought would make a good Biblical examination of this apparent move of God. In 1969, they issued their report in which their conclusion was that “This is of God. Do not attempt to stop it.” They gave instructions at the end of the report to Baptized with the Holy Spirit & Gifted Believers about how to get along with those who were not Baptized with the Holy Spirit. And, they also gave instructions to those who were not Baptized with the Holy Spirit about how to get along with those who were. It defused any problems about the “Charismatic Movement of the Holy Spirit”. The first time that I went to preach in a Presbyterian Church in Florida, I asked the Pastor if he had any problems with the Presbytery which is the district. He said that a committee was sent to investigate his ministry. He welcomed them and they all sat down in his board room and said, “Of course, you know what the position of our church (denomination) is?” They didn’t know. So, he gave them each a copy of the report & they thanked him and went home. He has never had a problem with the Presbyterian denomination. It was in a Presbyterian Church in the USA when the Holy Spirit first moved in my ministry with the “signs following”, “Gifts of the Holy Spirit”, signs, wonders & miracles. I received no negative feedback, only encouragement to keep doing the work of ministry.

FRUITS OR GIFTS?

Whenever people try to choose between the Fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5: 22 – 23) and the Gifts of the Holy Spirit (Rom. 12: 6 – 8; 1 Cor. 12: 8 – 10) they are absolutely wrong. The Fruit of the Spirit develops the character of Jesus in us so that we can do the ministry of Jesus in the power of the Holy Spirit using the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. To think that a Christian can be satisfied with only the “Fruit of the Spirit” is a completely false understanding. That is what James is trying to get people to understand when he wrote, “So faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead” (Jas. 2: 17). We cannot have one without the others.

For instance, people who say that it is not necessary to speak in tongues (Acts 2: 4) , have no self-control over their tongues (i.e. their mouths and their human tongues) and what they say (Jas. 3: 1 – 12). The Gift of Tongues (languages) gives the Holy Spirit some control over what we say when we are witnessing (Acts 1: 8) and delivers messages from God to His people when used with the Gift of Interpretation of Tongues (languages). The ignorance of the Fruit of the Spirit is unbelievable. For instance, the Fruit of the Spirit which is translated as “meekness” or “gentleness” in Greek the word is “prautes” is describes a person who is 1. submissive to the will of God, 2. teachable in all things, 3. considerate of people’s needs, 4. it describes a person who gets angry at the right time and never at the wrong time and then takes the appropriate action to change the situation. It describes the cheetah which, when it has been fully trained for hunting acts on command of its master. The best example of that was when Jesus entered the Temple and said, “My house shall be called a house of prayer; but you have made it a den of robbers.” He then drove out all of the people who were selling the animals and the money-changers and upset their tables and prevented anybody to carry anything into the temple. Jesus was demonstrating that we are supposed to get angry at sin and then take the appropriate action to change the situation.

Paul never acted in sin. He acted under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and he had the authority to curse his enemies and get angry with those who opposed the Gospel and challenge them with the Scriptural Truth. We are told that Paul “argued” with those who opposed the Gospel (Acts 17: 2, 17; 18: 4; 19: 9) or another word is to “contend” (Jude 1: 3). It is interesting that there are some ignorant people who would accuse Paul of sinning, when he is used by God as an example of a person who demonstrated “meekness/gentleness” in his ministry. His so-called critics, interestingly, do not have their names or their wrong judgements recorded in the New Testament.

We are supposed to get angry at sin and take the appropriate action to correct the sinful actions. This is the reason why we are told by no one other than Paul, “Be angry but do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and give no opportunity to the devil” (Eph. 4: 27). He wrote to Timothy, “By rejecting conscience, certain persons have made shipwreck of their faith, among them Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I delivered to Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme” (1 Tim. 1: 19 – 20). In other words, using his authority, Paul revoked the salvation of these two men. That is the ultimate result of Paul exercising his authority in Jesus Christ. The Old Testament refers to “the anger of the Lord” (Ex. 4: 14 and 101 other places). We are supposed to get angry with sin and offer salvation, healing, deliverance. We are supposed to get angry with sin and use the “Signs Following” to deal with sin. We are supposed to get angry with sin and use the 15 Gifts of the Holy Spirit to change the situation of sin. But many people try to use the Bible to excuse themselves from coming under the authority of Jesus Christ and telling us that the ministry works that we read about in the Scriptures are either not for them or for the church of Jesus Christ today. They are rebellious people who do not like the work of the Holy Spirit and are living in denial. Their end will be as Jesus describe the penalty for acting like goats instead of faithful sheep (Matt. 25: 31 – 46). We are told by Jesus, “Do not judge by appearances; but judge with right judgment” (Jn. 7: 24).

Sin is supposed to make us angry and then with the Holy Spirit’s guidance we are supposed to take the appropriate action to correct the situation. To even suggest that Paul was sinning when he dealt with people who were in sin is completely false. But, it does tell us something about those who would attempt to disregard his teaching. It tells us that they, themselves, are in rebellion against the Gospel of Jesus Christ and have proven that they are out of God’s will. For you see Peter referred to Paul and commended his teaching. He wrote, “So also our beloved brother Paul wrote to you according to the wisdom given him, speaking of this as he does in all his letters. There are some things in them hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other scriptures” (2 Pet. 3: 14 – 16).

THE SOLUTION

Turn Your Cares Into Prayers & Pray in the Spirit

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; Philippians 4:6

My friend, God doesn’t want you to be fearful, fretful or anxious. Instead, He wants you to “be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God”.

So when you have a care or worry, straightaway, turn that care or worry into prayer. That is supplication. And when you are troubled by a care or worry that you don’t know how to pray for, pray in the Spirit or tongues. And in the midst of that prayer, thank God that He is already your healing, provision, prosperity, good success and victory. That, my friend, is thanksgiving.

“Pastor, if I am worried about something, how long should I pray?”

Keep on praying. Pray in the Spirit until the worry lifts or dissipates, “and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus”. (Philippians 4:7)

This was what one of our church members did when he found himself anxiously trying to access some important data in his USB flash drive. After a whole day at it with no results, he finally stopped himself from being anxious and instead, turned his worry into prayer, asking the Lord to settle it for him. As he prayed in tongues, he was also thankfully repeating in his heart that having the Holy Spirit — the Helper — with him was to his advantage. (John 16:7)

Later that evening, using his wife’s computer, he succeeded in accessing the data in his flash drive after a few attempts. He quickly backed up the data. It was only when subsequent attempts to use the flash drive on his wife’s computer failed did it suddenly dawn on him that God had “resurrected” his flash drive that one time, just for him to recover his data!

Beloved, I believe that we would all worry a lot less and enjoy our lives a lot more if only we realized this truth: Our Abba Father is so strong that there is nothing He cannot do, and He is so loving that there is nothing He will not do for us!

Thought For The Day
Our Abba Father is so strong that there is nothing He cannot do, and He is so loving that there is nothing He will not do for us!

Make Your Temple A House Of Prayer

Then He taught, saying to them, “Is it not written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations’? But you have made it a ‘den of thieves’.” Mark 11:17

It would be great if every time we prayed, the answers came quickly. Thank God for immediate results, but what do we do when the results are not immediate? The promises of God are there for us, but when they have yet to manifest in our circumstances, what should we do in the meantime?

Jesus showed us what to do. After He had cursed the fig tree, the tree did not wither immediately. (Mark 11:14) What did He do then? He went to the temple in Jerusalem and cleansed it, saying that it should be a house of prayer and not a den of thieves. (Mark 11:15–17) After cleansing the temple, when the disciples saw the same fig tree the next day, it had dried up from its roots! (Mark 11:20–21)

Today, you are the temple of God. (1 Corinthians 3:16) And your temple should be a “house of prayer” or it becomes a “den of thieves”. These thieves, or powers of darkness, will steal and rob from your temple, which is your body. (1 Corinthians 6:19) They will steal and rob you of your strength, health, youthfulness, wisdom, hopes and dreams.

So make your temple a house of prayer by praying in tongues frequently. (Ephesians 6:18) When you pray in the Spirit, you are praying perfect prayers. This is because the Spirit Himself makes intercession for you when He prays through you in tongues. (Romans 8:26)

“Pastor, how long must I pray?”

Well, how often in a day does the enemy attack you with fears, anxieties and worries? How often does that disease in your body remind you that it is there? How healthy and whole do you want to be?

Beloved, as you make your temple a house of prayer, the powers of darkness that have been stealing or robbing from you will be driven out of your life completely. You will see the manifestation of what you have spoken over your circumstances and you will see the withering of what you have cursed!

Thought For The Day
Make your body, God’s temple, a house of prayer by praying in the Spirit frequently.

THE FLESH PROFITS NOTHING!

John 6:63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.

Many christian pray and pray and don’t get their prayers answered because they don’t have the favor of God as they live, walk and pray in the flesh and not in the spirit!

God’s wills the best for each of his children but He cannot give it to them as long as they walk in the flesh and not in the spirit!

Many so called Christians don’t understand the importance of tongues and why God doesn’t answer many times their prayers of the flesh for the following reasons:
1) Whatever is not of faith is sin! And tongues is of faith!
2) Tongues is God Himself praying for and about the problem!
3) In the flesh you don’t have a clue as to what is the real problem and what is the real solution because you are only flesh?
4) But in the Spirit, ie tongues, God knows everything! He prays for you about everything and He answers Himself. He cannot say no to Himself?
5) When you pray in tongues you open the door way to the manifestations of all the gifts of the Spirit including miracles, healing, knowledge, wisdom, discernment, which help to come up with a speedy solution to the problem
6) one of the greatest problem with Christians besides not reading their bible daily is they don’t pray in tongues!

Now what did apostle Paul say about tongues?
1 CORINTHIANS 12:
7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:
8 for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, 10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.
28 And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues.
1 CORINTHIANS 14:
1 Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.
2 For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries.
5 I wish you all spoke with tongues, but even more that you prophesied; for he who prophesies is greater than he who speaks with tongues, unless indeed he interprets, that the church may receive edification.
15 What is the conclusion then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding.
18 I thank my God I speak with tongues more than you all;
39 Therefore, brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy, and do not forbid to speak with tongues.
40 Let all things be done decently and in order.

AN IMPORTANT GUIDELINE TO ANSWERED PRAYER IS:
1) Are you Baptized with the Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues?
2) Do you fellowship with or have friends who are also Baptized in the Spirit?
3) Do you pray with these friends the prayer of agreement concerning anything and everything:
Matthew 18:19 “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.
If you have forgiven anybody and everybody for anything and everything then your prayers of agreement are unhindered and powerful
4) Ask God for wisdom according to James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
5) Do you pray in tongues daily according to Jude 1:20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,

HOW THE HOLY SPIRIT HELPS US :

Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. – Romans 8:26

The Holy Spirit is not inside you to point out your faults or nag at you when you do wrong. God’s Word tells us that He is inside us to help us in our weaknesses. In areas where we are without strength, He is there to help us. When we don’t know what to pray, “the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered”.

Now, don’t read the verse and say, “Well, I don’t know what I should pray for, and since the Holy Spirit makes intercession for me, I will leave the praying to Him.”

If the Holy Spirit, without our participation, makes intercession for us, then every Christian would be living victorious lives automatically! But we know that there are many Christians who don’t seem to be walking in the fullness of God’s blessings. So obviously, Romans 8:26 is not saying that. What is it saying then?

In the first part of the verse, the word “helps” is sunantilambanomai in the original Greek text. It means “to take hold together against”. Now, “together” means that our participation is required. In other words, the Holy Spirit sunantilambanomai or takes hold together with us against the problem.

So if you just sit back and don’t take hold of the problem, the Holy Spirit has nothing to “take hold of” with you. If you don’t pray, He has nothing to pray. If you keep quiet, then even if He wants to pray through you, He can’t. But when you release your prayer in tongues, you are actually allowing Him to pray through you. And He will take hold together with you against the problem, and pray the perfect prayer through you because “He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God”. (Romans 8:27)

And you can be confident that when you ask anything according to the will of God, He hears you. And if you know that He hears you, whatever you ask, you know that you have the petitions that you have asked of Him! (1 John 5:14–15)

Thought For The Day:

When you pray in the Holy Spirit, He takes hold together with you against your problem.

Be Filled With the Holy Ghost

And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God (Ephesians 5:18-21).

Having received the Holy Spirit after you’re born again, there’s a day-to-day or continual infilling of the Spirit that you must experience in order to live the higher life of glory to which you’ve been called. The latter part of our opening scripture lets us know what to do to be filled with the Spirit like this: you’ll have to speak to yourself in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs! You’ll have to consciously talk, sing, and make melody of the Word, in your heart, to the Lord! You’ll have to give thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, and submit yourself to others in holy reverence. Making this a conscious and consistent practice is how to be full of the Spirit all the time.

When you let the Holy Spirit work through you and you’re overflowing with His fullness, you won’t need to try to muster boldness to say or do things. You won’t need to try to stir up some power in the face of adversity. Whenever you open your mouth to speak, you’ll speak the wisdom of God; words that are divinely inspired, because you’re full of the Holy Ghost.

If you want the greater glory of God to be seen in your life; if you want to walk in dominion over the devil, sickness, disease, infirmities and death, then you must consciously and consistently practice being filled with the Spirit these remaining days of October. Make this a personal goal from today, and the challenges that may come your way will be walkovers for you, and nothing will be impossible unto you. You’ll be able to change hopeless situations and walk in God’s increased glory because you’re full of the Holy Ghost and power. Hallelujah!

Receiving the Holy Spirit Is for You

During the time of Jesus, Pentecost was an annual Jewish festival, also known as the “Feast of Weeks,” or the “Day of Firstfruits,” a celebration of the first buds of the harvest. (Num. 28:26.) Jewish men were required by law to go to Jerusalem three times each year to celebrate the major feasts and Pentecost was one of them. It took place seven weeks and a day after Passover.

On the day of Pentecost, over one hundred disciples of Jesus were gathered together in Jerusalem in an upper room. In this group were Peter, James, John, Andrew, Philip, Thomas, Bartholomew, Matthew, Mary, the mother of Jesus, and His brothers, to name a few. Then something happened that had never happened before.

“Suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance” (Acts 2:2,4).

When this sound occurred, the Bible says, “the multitude came together, and were confused, because everyone heard them speak in his own language” (v. 6).

Now, let’s look at what happened here. Jesus had been crucified and raised from the dead. He appeared to the disciples and taught them for forty days and then He ascended into heaven. The disciples of Jesus were in the Upper Room on the day of Pentecost and the room had been filled on the inside with the sound of a mighty wind. The disciples all spoke in tongues – all the disciples, all of the brothers of Jesus, and even Mary, the mother of Jesus. As they were speaking in tongues, all of the travelers from different regions who spoke different languages each heard the disciples speaking in their own native language. Needless to say, everyone was greatly amazed. Shocked may be a closer word. Some started saying, “What does this mean?” (v. 12.) And just as today, others stood by mocking, calling them drunks. (v. 13.)

Then Peter stood up with the other eleven disciples and raised his voice and began to explain what had happened. He told them that it was the fulfillment of a prophecy that was spoken by the prophet, Joel. He told them about Jesus and how He was crucified. He told them that God raised Jesus from the dead.

When Peter concluded his sermon, he made a very important statement: “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call” (Acts 2:38,39).

Peter said that the gift of the Holy Spirit was not just for the one hundred twenty in the Upper Room, but that the gift of the Holy Spirit was for all those who were listening to him. Then he said that receiving the Holy Spirit was for their children and for all who are far away. In other words, receiving the Holy Spirit is for everyone who desires to receive Him. That includes you and me.

In Luke 11:13, Jesus said, “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”

Believe in Jesus, ask, and receive.

ENJOY THE VICTORY

BIGod’s Power is Limitless

Do you place limits on God’s power? Is there a point in going through a trial where you feel that it’s beyond God’s will and power to deliver you? Or you don’t trust Him to deliver you? How far will you go before you draw the line?

In the year 605 BC, Daniel and his friends were deported to Babylon. Daniel had three close friends – Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. The king, Nebuchadnezzar, renamed them. He renamed Hananiah, Shadrach. He renamed Mishael, Meshach. And he renamed Azariah, Abed-Nego. (Dan. 1:7.) Changing their names may have been done to make them forget their religious and cultural heritage or as an indication of authority and dominion over them. Or the king might have done it to keep things simple.

Daniel and his three friends were placed in the king’s court to be trained. The Bible says in Daniel 1:17 that God gave them knowledge and skill in all literature and wisdom. When the king himself examined them, he found them to be ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers who were in his kingdom.

As time passed, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego became rulers over the affairs of the province of Babylon. But some ruthless men, who hated the Jews and wanted them destroyed, talked the king into making a law. (Dan. 3.) They would make a large gold image, and when the music played, anyone who was within the sound of this music would, by law, have to bow down and worship the image. To put teeth in this new law, it was decided that anyone who did not fall down and worship the false image would be thrown into the center of a burning fiery furnace.

Of course, the three Hebrew men would not bow down and worship the image. God had forbidden it and they knew God was more powerful than any man. They knew God had said He would be their deliverer and they believed Him. They knew God did not lie.

When it was reported to the king that Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego would not worship the gold image, the king became furious and he demanded the three be brought to him. He gave them one more chance, but they refused. They said, “Our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. But, if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up” (Dan. 3:17,18.)

The king was full of rage and commanded his best soldiers to bind the three Hebrews and throw them into the furnace. Because of the urgency of the king’s command, the furnace was made extra hot. As they approached the furnace opening, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego fell down, bound, into the middle of the furnace. The soldiers who took the three men to the furnace were burned to death.

Then it happened. King Nebuchadnezzar jumped up and called for his counselors. He couldn’t believe his eyes. He said, “I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God” (v. 25). Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego walked out of the furnace – unharmed.

Daniel 3:27 says, “The satraps, administrators, governors, and the king’s counselors gathered together, and they saw these men on whose bodies the fire had no power; the hair of their head was not singed nor were their garments affected, and the smell of fire was not on them.”

These men did not limit God’s delivering power. Neither should we.

Enjoy the Victory

But thanks be to God, Who gives us the victory-making us conquerors–through our Lord Jesus Christ. – 1 Corinthians 15:57

Victors! More than conquerors! That’s what the Bible says we are. I know you’ve heard that many times before, but today I want you to let the reality of it really sink in. I want you to spend some time meditating about what those terms actually mean.

The dictionary says that victory means “final and complete supremacy or superiority in battle or war, success in any contest or struggling involving the defeat of an opponent or the overcoming of obstacles.”

To conquer means “to get the better of in competition or struggle, to master, suppress, prevail over, overwhelm, surmount, to gain superiority, to subdue, to vanquish, to crush, to defeat.”

A Preached Word Was Never Designed To Be Without Confirmation And Manifestation And If That’s The Case Ministry Is Incomplete

MARK 16:19 So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. 20 And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.

EVANGELICALS AND SOUTHERN BAPTISTS

Evangelical Leader Preaches Pullback From Politics, Culture Wars

Russell Moore of the Southern Baptist Convention says it is time for evangelicals to tone down the rhetoric.

Since the birth of the Christian-conservative political movement in the late 1970s, no evangelical group has delivered more punch in America’s culture wars than the Southern Baptist Convention and its nearly 16 million members. The country’s largest Protestant denomination pushed to end abortion, open up prayer in public schools and boycott Walt Disney Co. over films deemed antifamily. Its ranks included many of the biggest names on the Christian right, including Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell.

ACCORDING TO THE WASHINGTON POST EVANGELICALS ARE PRIMARILY SOUTHERN BAPTISTS WHO IN REALITY ARE DEAD ANEMIC AND IMPOTENT? THEY HAVE A FORM OF GODLINESS BUT DENY ITS POWER.  THEY GROW BY DIVISIONS AND MANY OF THEIR MEMBERS ARE MASONS.  (2 Timothy 3:7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.)

THEY DON’T OPERATE IN THE GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT NEVER MIND HEALING THE SICK, CASTING OUT DEMONS AND RAISING THE DEAD.

AND THEY CANNOT SAY WHAT TRUE CHRISTIANS CAN SAY 1CORINTHIANS 2:1    And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God.
2    For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.
3    I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling.
4    And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,
5    that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

IN MY BOOK FEMINIZED EVANGELICALS ARE DEMONIC IDIOTS WHO TAKE ONLY THE VERSES THEY LIKE TO PROVE THEIR DEMONIC THEOLOGY AND LEAVE OUT VERSES THEY DON’T LIKE CONCERNING THE CALLING OF EACH CHRISTIAN TO BE A JUDGE AND A MAN OF WAR JUST LIKE JESUS IS AND WAS:

Revelation 19:11 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.

Exodus 15:3 The LORD is a man of war; The LORD is His name.

1 SAMUEL 2:1    And Hannah prayed and said: ” My heart rejoices in the LORD; My horn is exalted in the LORD. I smile at my enemies, Because I rejoice in Your salvation.
2     ” No one is holy like the LORD, For there is none besides You, Nor is there any rock like our God.
3     ” Talk no more so very proudly; Let no arrogance come from your mouth, For the LORD is the God of knowledge; And by Him actions are weighed.
4     ” The bows of the mighty men are broken, And those who stumbled are girded with strength.
5     Those who were full have hired themselves out for bread, And the hungry have ceased to hunger. Even the barren has borne seven, And she who has many children has become feeble.
6     ” The LORD kills and makes alive; He brings down to the grave and brings up.
7     The LORD makes poor and makes rich; He brings low and lifts up.
8     He raises the poor from the dust And lifts the beggar from the ash heap, To set them among princes And make them inherit the throne of glory. ” For the pillars of the earth are the LORD’s, And He has set the world upon them.
9     He will guard the feet of His saints, But the wicked shall be silent in darkness. ” For by strength no man shall prevail.
10     The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken in pieces; From heaven He will thunder against them. The LORD will judge the ends of the earth. ” He will give strength to His king, And exalt the horn of His anointed.”

Deuteronomy 16:18 “You shall appoint judges and officers in all your gates, which the LORD your God gives you, according to your tribes, and they shall judge the people with just judgment.

Judges 3:10 The Spirit of the LORD came upon him, and he judged Israel. He went out to war, and the LORD delivered Cushan-Rishathaim king of Mesopotamia into his hand; and his hand prevailed over Cushan-Rishathaim.

1 Samuel 7
6 So they gathered together at Mizpah, drew water, and poured it out before the LORD. And they fasted that day, and said there, “We have sinned against the LORD.” And Samuel judged the children of Israel at Mizpah.

15 And Samuel judged Israel all the days of his life.

Isaiah 11:
1    There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots.
2     The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.
3     His delight is in the fear of the LORD, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears;
4     But with righteousness He shall judge the poor, And decide with equity for the meek of the earth; He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked.
5     Righteousness shall be the belt of His loins, And faithfulness the belt of His waist.

Jeremiah 22:16  He judged the cause of the poor and needy; Then it was well. Was not this knowing Me?” says the LORD.

1 Corinthians 2:15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one.

1 Corinthians 5:3 For I indeed, as absent in body but present in spirit, have already judged (as though I were present) him who has so done this deed

1 Corinthians 5: 9 I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people.
10    Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world.
11    But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner — not even to eat with such a person.
12  For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside?
13 But those who are outside God judges. Therefore “put away from yourselves the evil person.”

WHEN WARRANTED WE ARE TO BE JUDGES AND TO GO WAR AGAINST EVIL AND WICKED ONES BE IT IN THE HOUSE OF GOD OR IN POLITICS

THE EVANGELICAL CHURCH, AS SUCH, NEVER EXISTED.

A “Christian” is one who has been baptized with the Holy Spirit and doing the work of the Holy Spirit with “signs, wonders & miracles”. People develop “itchy feet” when they are not receiving the Full Gospel and the ministry that goes with it.

The Evangelical Church, as such, never existed. It was and is a group of splinter group would-be Christians of whom Paul described, “holding the form of religion but denying the power of it. Avoid such people.” Lacking the power of the Holy Spirit they turn to political action and pressure groups without being the witness that is necessary to reach this world we live in. There is only one Church and it is spread throughout the world guided by the Holy Spirit of which Paul describes as a “remnant” (Rom. 9: 27, 11: 5).

The so-called Evangelical Church has never really existed except in the minds of people who will hear Jesus say one day, “Depart from me, you cursed, into the fire prepared for the devil and his angels” (Matt. 26: 41f). Or, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven” (Matt: 7: 21).

HOLINESS AND SALVATION

BF
THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST IS ALL ISRAEL!

Romans 11:26 And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: ” The Deliverer will come out of Zion, And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob;

Romans 11 is not that difficult to understand. The problem is that when Paul speaks about “all Israel will be saved” he is talking about the faithful Jews (Heb. 11) who were saved before Jesus came. Since then “all of Israel means all those who have received Jesus as their Saviour and Lord”. When we become Christians, we were not called Christians originally by the early church, as you will recall that the first believers in Jesus were called followers of “the Way”. It was in Antioch that the believers were first called “Christians” (Acts 11: 26). They were always considered Jews. And so, when we accept Jesus as our Saviour and Lord, we are adopted (Gal. 4: 4 – 6)into the family of God making us Jews. And, as Jews we must be circumcised. Paul explains this when he wrote, “For he is not a real Jew who is one outwardly, nor is true circumcision something external and physical. He is a Jew who is one inwardly, and real circumcision is a matter of the heart, spiritual (of the Holy Spirit) and not literal. His praise is not from men but from God (Rom. 2: 28 – 29). And, we belong to the tribe of Judah which has been replaced the tribe of Levi. Jesus is the head of the tribe of Judah and since He is also the High Priest of Israel and of the priesthood of Melchizedek, He is the receiver of tithes. Hebrews explains this (Heb. 7).

When the followers of the Way (Christians) did not defend Jerusalem in AD 70 when the Roman army destroyed it they were all kicked out of the Synagogues. They were told by God through prophecy to leave because the believers did not stay and fight. There is only one Israel as there has always been only one Israel and we Christians are real Jews and there is salvation for anybody outside of accepting the only Messiah who paid for our sins on the Cross of Calvary. Paul, and I repeat what he said, “For he is not a real Jew who is one outwardly…..He is a Jew who is one inwardly and real circumcision is a matter of the heart, spiritual and not literal.” In Romans 11, when Paul says “all Israel will be saved”, he is talking about all those Jews & Gentiles who receive Jesus as their Saviour and Lord (Rom. 11: 25). The full number includes both Gentiles and Jews. Anybody, natural Jews or Gentile who receive salvation makes up “the whole of Israel” (Rom. 11: 26). The broken branches are those natural Jews who rejected Jesus. But, even those natural Jews who were alive the time Paul was living could repent and be “grafted” back on the tree of Israel. The same is true today only by accepting Jesus as their Saviour and Lord. The Scriptures do not give anybody, Jew nor Gentile, entry into Salvation by natural birth. The condition for Jews to be re-grafted into the tree of Israel means, “And even the others, if they do not persist in their unbelief, will be grafted in, for God has the power to graft them in again” (Rom. 11: 23).

In Romans 9: 27, Paul quotes Isaiah, “Though the number of the sons of Israel be as the sand of the sea, only a remnant will be saved.” The remnant which will be saved becomes “and so all Israel will be saved” (Rom. 11: 26). We have to stop separating the Church of Jesus Christ from Israel. Since Jesus came, the Church, the body of Christ, is ALL ISRAEL because it is compose of all people, both Jews and Gentiles, who received Jesus as their Saviour and Lord. This is what Peter was saying on the Day of Pentecost, “And it shall be that whoever calls on the name of the Lord (meaning Jesus whose name means “Yahweh is Salvation” shall be saved” (Joel 2: 32; Acts 2: 21). In Hebrew it say, “whoever calls on the name of Yahweh will be saved”. God does not have two Groups of Saved, only one Group which is called, Israel/the Church of Jesus Christ. One body.

If you look at the number of people who are going to be saved, we are first told that the there will be 144,000 describe in Jewish terms which means 12 tribes of Israel (Rev. 7: 4 – 8) who each have 12,000 people. The numbering is symbolic. However, the listing of the Tribes is Different from the original 12 Tribes: Judah is first on the list because that is Jesus Tribe, replacing the Tribe of Reuben, of which we believers both Jews and Gentiles are counted as members. The tribe of Dan is missing because of their idolatry and replaced by Manasseh. What we are shown is the New Covenant Israel which continues to be Israel. Then we are show in non-Jewish terms what the total number of the saved will be in non-Jewish Gentile terms (Rev. 7:9). “After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no man could number, from every nation, from all the tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, ‘Salvation belongs to our God who sits upon the throne and and to the Lamb!”……”These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb” (Rev. 14).

What is described is the “remnant of Israel” which is so large that it will be “a great multitude which no man could number”. And, no mater what our background has been and what applies to all of us – Jews and Gentiles- “And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4: 12).

We have to start recognizing that we as born again Spirit filled Christians are all Jews and we belong to the tribe of Judah of which Jesus is our head.

THE POWER OF SELF DENIAL AND VICTORY OVER SELF:

Mt.16:24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.
25 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.
26 For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
27For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works.

Self is that aspect of man’s life that wants to go its own way. Self is the evil propensity in man to take charge of his own affairs irrespective of what is the will of God. Be the master of his own life, likes to get into self management. It never wants to submit to the will of God or any authority on earth. Self makes obedient to the word of God very difficult and almost impossible. Self causes backsliding, rebellion, disobedient, lack of spiritual progress and stubbornness. Self manifests itself in the following area.
(1) Self-willed.
(2) Self-centeredness.
(3) Self indulgence.
(4) Self management.
(5) Selfishness.
(6) Selfish ambition.
(7) Self pity.
(8) Self satisfaction and pride.
(9) Self ego.
(10) Self promotion.

If we are going to be overcomers and make steady spiritual growth and progress we must deal with self.
(1) Dethrone self.
(2) Destroy self.
(3) Deny self.
(4) Deal with self.

Luke.14:25-27.

DAMNING CHARACTERISTICS OF SELF LIFE:
Ezekiel.28:11-19;
Isaiah.14:12-17;
Gen.13:8-13;
Luke.15:11-13;
1 Samuel.15:13-24, 30;
1 Kings.1:5.

Self was first found in Satan, and anyone that has self is carrying the nature of Satan. Self life is deceptive and destructive. When it is not crucified and brought under control it can lead a terrible end. Self produces
(1) Iniquity.
(2) Inconsistency.
(3) Makes one to be inconsiderate.
(4) Insubordination.
(5) Independent.
(6) Indiscipline.
(7) Impurity and pride.
(8) Indifference.
(9) Ingratitude.
(10) Infidelity.

If not dealt with through genuine repentance it will eventually lead to defeat, disgrace, death and damnation.

DENYING AND CONQUERING THE SELF LIFE:
Mt.16:24-26; Philip.3:7-8; Gal.2:20; 1Cor.9:27; 1Cor.10:23; Mt.5:30; Gal.5:24; Rom.6:6; Col.2:11.

Anyone who allow self to control and dominate him or her is in great danger. There is need for self denial and self control so that we can be live in the perfect will of God. The Lord made it clear that except someone dies he abideth alone but if he fall to the ground and die it bringeth forth much fruit. We need to die to sin, die to self and maintain self discipline and self denial if we must live a life that is according to the perfect will of God.

DOMINION AND CONQUEST OF SPIRITUAL LIFE:
Rom.6:6-11, 18, 22;
Col.3:1-5;
1Cor.15:31;
Philip.1:21;
Rom.8:13;
Mt.26:41, 42.
John.6:38.

To have spiritual dominion over the flesh is a possibility all we need to do is to surrender all unto the Lord. There must be
(1) salvation from sin.
(2) Separation from the world.
(3) Sanctification and purity of heart.
(4) Steadfastness and commitment to the truth.
(5) Supplication unto the Lord for grace.
(6) Surrendering your all unto the Lord.
(7) Saturation with the scriptures and obedient to the word of God.

REMEMBER HOLINESS WITHOUT WHICH NO MAN SHALL SEE THE LORD. HEBREWS.12:14.

GOD’S WILL

AB
Many people die prematurely because churches don’t believing in healing and don’t pray for the healing of people. Many  Christians are not Christians and most pastors don’t operate in the gifts of the spirit and that is a very serious  problem in America. They also refuse to acknowledge and recognize that the Devil is alive and well in America seeking whom he might steal, kill and destroy!

God’s people need to refuse to accept the Devil’s plot upon their life and only trust and believe in the power of the blood of Jesus for his divine healing and deliverance. They need to reject about generational curses of disease and renounce that evil spirit.

Unfortunately many Christians have faith to believe and pray for others. But, when it comes to their own lives, fear, doubt and unbelief creep into their mind and then they find it hard to accept God’s truth on the matters of their lives. Why is that?

The enemy has a way of convincing people that they don’t deserve god’s blessing. Okay!! None of us do!! It is called “god’s amazing grace”. He freely gives us what we didn’t earn or deserve. God freely gives it to us only we have to be in the position to “receive” god’s grace over our lives in every little detail. It also goes back to “familiar spirits” we are too eager to accept what we have experienced….like the “spirit of poverty and lack” instead of God’s provision, wealth, abundance and prosperity. Reason being is that often times in our lives that is where we came from?

But, God wants us to renounce and reject those familiar spirits in order to give “him room” in our lives to open the windows of heaven over us and pour out his blessing so great that there is not room enough to contain it. In His good measure, pressed down, shaken together, over flowing blessings.

God wants to make our cup to run over with His blessings. God wants to send His showers and showers of blessing pouring into our lives. God want to overtake us, knock us down, over shadow us and blow our minds with His goodness. He wantS for us to see His goodness in the land of the living. Down on the ground while we are still walking around.

When we accept familiar spirits, we reject God’s Holy Spirit and God’s word of truth. We get in the way of God’s will for our lives without even realizing it. God will rebuke the devour on our behalf. God will restore all that the locust and canker worm have stolen and eaten from our lives, every single morsel, double for our trouble, just like he did for job. Just like he did for David and the boys when the stole their wives, children and all their belongings.

1 Samuel 30: 1 Now it happened, when David and his men came to Ziklag, on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the South and Ziklag, attacked Ziklag and burned it with fire,
2 and had taken captive the women and those who were there, from small to great; they did not kill anyone, but carried them away and went their way.
3 So David and his men came to the city, and there it was, burned with fire; and their wives, their sons, and their daughters had been taken captive.
4 Then David and the people who were with him lifted up their voices and wept, until they had no more power to weep.
5 And David’s two wives, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail the widow of Nabal the Carmelite, had been taken captive.
6 Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God.
7 Then David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech’s son, “Please bring the ephod here to me.” And Abiathar brought the ephod to David.
8 So David inquired of the LORD, saying, “Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?” And He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.”

18 So David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away, and David rescued his two wives. 19 And nothing of theirs was lacking, either small or great, sons or daughters, spoil or anything which they had taken from them; David recovered all.

God is no respecter of person. He did it for one He will do it for all. He did it more than one time and will do it again and again for all his precious children. It is God’s heartbeat for us.

Many do not know the heart of God. How He loves us with His unfailing love, unchanging love, everlasting love, agape love….showing His loving kindness to His beloved children.

Our Heavenly Father’s love for us is eternal. Yesterday, today, forevermore and all eternity!!

People say God is love. But, we will never grasp the depth of His love in our human frailty. Just like we can refuse and reject love from people. We also can refuse to accept and even reject our father’s love. How…. We don’t believe that his love is unconditional. We think we have to earn it. There lies the problem….. We can never earn it nor do we deserve it. But, we must position ourselves to “receive” all of god’s love and only then can he change our hearts, minds and lives according to his will, purpose, divine plan and out come for this life.

Trusting God’s love for us often is limited by our past experience of people who told us that they loved us and harmed us in some way. Then we fail to trust God as we think that He will do the same?

But, our God does not lie! He said it, he will do it and god always keeps his promises.

Yes, we must “surrender all”….to our Heavenly Father. Only then do we allow and invite Him to “take over” on our behalf in every area of our lives for “his purposes”. Amen and amen

We must move out of the way and let God be God!!!

God wants us to solely depend upon him for “everything” every moment of our lives. Trusting him alone….not in our own ability to perform. God wants to show Himself mighty and strong and perform his miracles in every detail of our lives.

We must give God “our stage”….and then we will have real victory in every area of our lives! God’s word is unchanging:

Ephesians 1: 15 Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, 16 do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, 18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power 20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. 22 And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

Ephesians 3: 14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height — 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. 20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
