Isaiah 10:27 It shall come to pass in that day That his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, And his yoke from your neck, And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil.

James 5:14 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.

1 John 2:20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.

27 But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.

God is the inventor of the prosperity and anointing doctrines

Genesis 13:2 Abram was very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold.

Genesis 24:35 The LORD has blessed my master greatly, and he has become great; and He has given him flocks and herds, silver and gold, male and female servants, and camels and donkeys.

EXODUS 35:30 And Moses said to the children of Israel, “See, the LORD has called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah; 31 and He has filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom and understanding, in knowledge and all manner of workmanship, 32 to design artistic works, to work in gold and silver and bronze, 33 in cutting jewels for setting, in carving wood, and to work in all manner of artistic workmanship. 34 “And He has put in his heart the ability to teach, in him and Aholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan. 35 He has filled them with skill to do all manner of work of the engraver and the designer and the tapestry maker, in blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine linen, and of the weaver — those who do every work and those who design artistic works.

Deuteronomy 8:18 “And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

We have Christians today debating what god can or cannot do and most of the fools don’t check out what god’s word says on the subject be it prosperity or an anointing

A simple perusal of the bible shows us that god gives power to a man to become prosperous including in livestock, in silver, in gold, and even artistic worship

The power comes in the form of an anointing! The anointing is a supernatural empowerment by god to achieve or have something!

And Jesus Christ talking about this supernatural anointing said

Luke 4:18 ” The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.”
20 Then He closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him.
21 And He began to say to them, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”

The very sad part in Christendom is that biblical ignorant ones limit god’s ability to make a person prosperous and even financially rich or the anointing that God could put on any person to enable him to achieve some useful purpose!

They never ask God the giver of every good thing what is his will in the area of prosperity or different anointings that they can have

The same anointing that raises the dead can fix a car, or pay the bills. We are supposed to be more than enough not just enough because our God is the God of more than enough!

Put Your Spirit in Charge

So too the (Holy) Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer…but the Spirit Himself…pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance. – Romans 8:26

As long as you live on this earth, you’re going to be saddled with a weakness. What is it? The flesh and blood body you live in. It’s a body that’s subject to death. A body that’s subject to the physical world around you.

Your reborn spirit doesn’t want to sin. It wants to be completely obedient to God. But the weakness of the flesh causes you to fall prey to the temptations around you.

Does that mean you’re doomed to a life of failure till Jesus comes and that flesh body is glorified?

No! It means you need to build your spirit up, to strengthen it, until it dominates your flesh. We are told to crucify the flesh. Your spirit man must dominate your body. Praying in the Spirit by the Holy Spirit applies spirit to flesh. It causes your spirit to rise up and take charge. Just like using barbells strengthens your arms, praying in other tongues strengthens your spirit. You see, your spirit is more powerful than your flesh, and as you give it outflow, the flesh will simply have to yield to it. Most believers don’t understand that. They’ll be overwhelmed by some sin, and instead of conquering it by the things of God such as praying in the Spirit, they’ll simply keep struggling to overcome in natural ways. So they end up failing again and again.

If you’re caught in that cycle, take heart! God hasn’t commanded you to be more spiritual than you can be. He knows your weakness and He’s given you a way to overcome it. He’s given you the ability to pray in tongues– and with your understanding to wield the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. And no matter how badly you’re failing in everything else, you can do these things!

Be warned though, Satan will try to talk you out of it. He knows that once you learn how to bring the flesh in line, he’ll have no foothold left in your life. You’ll shut the door on him and he won’t be able to get in.

Renew your commitment to praying in the Spirit today. Make a quality decision to follow the command God gives in Jude 20 and “build yourself up on your most holy faith– make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher–praying in the Holy Spirit!”

Covered, Protected, Delivered

And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night. Exodus 13:21

When the children of Israel were wandering in the desert, God led them by going before them in a pillar of cloud by day and pillar of fire by night.

By day, God spread the pillar of cloud as a covering over His people in the desert to prevent the scorching sun from striking them down. The people were shaded and kept cool. Today, you are also under His covering. He will not allow you to be struck down (Psalm 121:3–8), nor be oppressed by the “heat” of the day. (Isaiah 54:14)

At night, when the desert became dark and cold, God gave His people the pillar of fire to light the way for them, as well as to keep them warm and safe. Today, as you walk with God, you will not be overwhelmed by the cold, dark places in life because God’s Word says, “You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness.” (1 Thessalonians 5:5) You will not fear the terror by night or the pestilence that walks in darkness because God will deliver you from them. (Psalm 91:5–6)

Like the children of Israel, who only needed to look up, and keep their eyes on the pillar of cloud and the pillar of fire, all you need to do today is to look up and keep your eyes on Jesus. When you need His direction for a situation, look to Jesus who has the words of eternal life. (John 6:68) When you see symptoms of sickness in your body, look to Jesus who has borne away every disease and physical affliction. (Matthew 8:17)

When the children of Israel were bitten by serpents in the desert, God told Moses to make a bronze serpent and put it on a pole — a picture of Christ being judged on the cross. (John 3:14) Those who looked at the bronze serpent instead of their wounds were healed. (Numbers 21:9) He who looks to Jesus lives!

Beloved, look to Jesus. He is your covering, protection and deliverance!

Thought For The Day
All you need to do today is to look up and keep your eyes on Jesus – your covering, protection and deliverance!

Gods Will Is Healing

DHMighty In Power

Praise the LORD!  For it is good to sing praises to our God;  For it is pleasant, and praise is beautiful.  The LORD builds up Jerusalem;  He gathers together the outcasts of Israel.  He heals the brokenhearted  And binds up their wounds. He counts the number of the stars;  He calls them all by name.  Great is our Lord, and mighty in power;  His understanding is infinite.  The LORD lifts up the humble;  He casts the wicked down to the ground. Psalm 147:5

It is possible to be in the center of God’s will and be in a terrible storm that threatens to destroy God’s own. The wind can be boisterous, the lighting crisp, and the waves almost overwhelming. Yet it is always darkest just before the dawn. This is exactly what happened to the disciples when they obeyed the words of Jesus who told them to go to the other side. God’s word records:

Now when He got into a boat, His disciples followed Him. And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep. Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!”

But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.

So the men marveled, saying, “Who can this be, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?”  Matthew 8:23-27

The Word of God tells us that a great tempest arose suddenly and the boat was covered with waves. But Jesus was asleep so the disciples awoke him and asked Him to save them as they were perishing.  Jesus response was unusually for mortal men “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He rebuked the winds and the ways and there was a great calm.

It does not matter why or how a storm arises, no vessel can sink with Jesus Christ in it. But God’s true ones must keep the faith and are not to be fearful. For everything in heaven and earth must obey Jesus voice and commands. Jesus Christ does not change because a storm comes up. He is the same yesterday, today and for ever.  He is mighty in power and His understanding is infinite.   God’s precious ones are to despair no matter what the situation or circumstance. The road may be tedious and dark but the Light is at the end of the tunnel. They have seen the Light and are receiving from the Light who is Jesus Christ the light of the world. So they are to be sustained by the Light and walk in His beauty and wisdom. They are to be filled will all of the Light and trust His truth to guide them through.   Jesus Christ is able to instruct them and lead them out into their promised land. He is able to bring them through to the other side of their hopes and dreams. They are to keep the faith as His precious children. They are not to give up as He is their Hope and  assurance in the midst of many storms. This one or any other they may face and He is their loving Heavenly Father! He will bring them through to the other side.

If we examine the sudden storm which came upon the disciples, we will note that Jesus had a purpose to go to the other side. Hence the forces of darkness tried to stop the purposes of God. For God’s word records:

When He had come to the other side, to the country of the Gergesenes, there met Him two demon-possessed men, coming out of the tombs, exceedingly fierce, so that no one could pass that way. And suddenly they cried out, saying, “What have we to do with You, Jesus, You Son of God? Have You come here to torment us before the time?” Now a good way off from them there was a herd of many swine feeding.

So the demons begged Him, saying, “If You cast us out, permit us to go away into the herd of swine.” And He said to them, “Go.” So when they had come out, they went into the herd of swine. And suddenly the whole herd of swine ran violently down the steep place into the sea, and perished in the water.

Then those who kept them fled; and they went away into the city and told everything, including what had happened to the demon-possessed men. And behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus. And when they saw Him, they begged Him to depart from their region.  Matthew 8:29-34

To Jesus the great Deliverer and Redeemer who had come to destroy the works of the devil, it was important for Him to deal with and help the demon possessed men.  Mind you the demons did not like the idea. They liked to live and possess flesh.  Jesus cast the demons out of the men and granted the demons request to go into the herd of swine.

It is interesting that the herd of swine did not like this idea  and the whole herd of swine ran violently down the steep place into the sea, and perished there.  Neither did the people of the region like the idea of the power that Jesus had in casting out demons and causing losses to them.

You would have thought that men were grateful that people were delivered from being possessed by demons instead of being concerned about their own prosperity and wealth. But that is humanity the physical realm is more important than the spiritual one.

Oppression or possession by demons and power of darkness are real things and not just a figment of imagination. Jesus spent as much time casting out demons as healing the sick and He also gave power to His disciples to do the same. His word is true:

“And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; Mark 16:17

“Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. “Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.” Luke 10:19-20

“And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  “If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. John 14:13-14

Yes, through the anointing which is in the Holy Spirit God gives to His true ones authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing shall by any means hurt them for His word is true:

But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob,  And He who formed you, O Israel:  “Fear not, for I have redeemed you;  I have called you by your name;  You are Mine.  When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;  And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.  When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned,  Nor shall the flame scorch you.  For I am the LORD your God,  The Holy One of Israel, your Savior;  I gave Egypt for your ransom,  Ethiopia and Seba in your place. Since you were precious in My sight,  You have been honored,  And I have loved you;  Therefore I will give men for you,  And people for your life.  Fear not, for I am with you; Isaiah 43:1-5

God is always for, with and never against His true ones. He the God of all power is on their side no matter what storm, waters or fire they are going through or what mountain they have to move.  He is on their side and will be do and give everything for them as they trust in Him and use His name – the name which is above every name and which stills the storms and casts out demons.  We have a good example of all this in the life of faithful and praying Daniel.  Daniel discerned the word of the LORD spoken through prophet Jeremiah that the seventy years of desolation’s of Jerusalem would come to an end. He set His face toward the Lord God to make request by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes and to confess that they had sinned and committed iniquity.

Daniel acknowledged that all the disaster has come upon them  because the LORD their  God is righteous in all the works which He does, though His people had  not obeyed His voice.  He prayed that God would turn His anger and fury away from His Jerusalem, because of their sins, and for the iniquities of their fathers.  Daniel stated:

“Now therefore, our God, hear the prayer of Your servant, and his supplications, and for the Lord’s sake cause Your face to shine on Your sanctuary, which is desolate. “O my God, incline Your ear and hear; open Your eyes and see our desolations, and the city which is called by Your name; for we do not present our supplications before You because of our righteous deeds, but because of Your great mercies. “O Lord, hear! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, listen and act! Do not delay for Your own sake, my God, for Your city and Your people are called by Your name.”

Now while I was speaking, praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the LORD my God for the holy mountain of my God, yes, while I was speaking in prayer, the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, reached me about the time of the evening offering. And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, “O Daniel, I have now come forth to give you skill to understand. “At the beginning of your supplications the command went out, and I have come to tell you, for you are greatly beloved; Daniel 9:17-23

The moment Daniel started to pray God sent angel Gabriel to tell him that his prayers were answered and to give him understanding about what God was going to do with Jerusalem. When Daniel prayed, just like when God’s true ones pray God hears and answers their prayers, but demons and principalities try to stop and delay the answers.  So God sent His angel to Daniel who said to him:

“Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words.  “But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia.

“Now I have come to make you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision refers to many days yet to come.” Daniel 10:12-14

God true ones do not have to fight with God for He is on their side. But they do have to contend with principalities, power and rulers of darkness of this age and against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.  For God’s word is true:

Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.  Ephesians 6:11-13

No matter how long the fight and how great the battle against forces of darkness victory is guaranteed and is assured. Because of what Jesus Christ had done on Calvary and the victories He had won there. For the words of Jesus are true:

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

It is the Lord who is the great and might one in this universe and no other. His word is true:

“The LORD kills and makes alive; He brings down to the grave and brings up. The LORD makes poor and makes rich;  He brings low and lifts up. He raises the poor from the dust  And lifts the beggar from the ash heap,  To set them among princes  And make them inherit the throne of glory.  “For the pillars of the earth are the LORD’S,  And He has set the world upon them. He will guard the feet of His saints,  But the wicked shall be silent in darkness.  “For by strength no man shall prevail. The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken in pieces;  From heaven He will thunder against them.  The LORD will judge the ends of the earth.  “He will give strength to His king,  And exalt the horn of His anointed.” 1 Samuel 2:6-10

The pillars of the earth are the Lord’s and He will guard the feet of His saints. The adversaries of the Lord shall be broken in pieces for by strength shall no man prevail. The Lord will judge the ends of the earth and exalt the horn of His anointed even this day. As a result He will honor His word to His true ones:

“Then it shall come to pass, because you listen to these judgments, and keep and do them, that the LORD your God will keep with you the covenant and the mercy which He swore to your fathers. “And He will love you and bless you and multiply you; He will also bless the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your land, your grain and your new wine and your oil, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flock, in the land of which He swore to your fathers to give you.

“You shall be blessed above all peoples; there shall not be a male or female barren among you or among your livestock. “And the LORD will take away from you all sickness, and will afflict you with none of the terrible diseases of Egypt which you have known, but will lay them on all those who hate you.

“And you shall destroy all the peoples whom the LORD your God delivers over to you; your eye shall have no pity on them; nor shall you serve their gods, for that will be a snare to you.  Deuteronomy 7:12-16

The Kingdom Of God Is Within You

Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; “nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.” Luke 17:20-21

For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power. 1 Corinthians 4:20

Many people have been deceived by Christians who have claimed they were part of the kingdom but only have words of the kingdom and not the power of the kingdom. They were deceived by those who have not come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ filled with all the fullness of God. They were deceived by those who couldn’t do what Jesus did even though God’s word states:

And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people. Matthew 4:23

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. John 14:12

Those who cannot do the greater works than Jesus did are not true ministers of the gospel but false ones. True ministers of the gospel minister in the power of the Spirit to the lost and hurting ones and make a real difference in the lives. They minister love, healing, joy, wisdom, strength, edification and power just like Jesus did. They minister the gifts of the Spirit and other gifts as true apostles and prophets of God. They freely give what they have freely received from God. God’s word is true:

Then all the multitude kept silent and listened to Barnabas and Paul declaring how many miracles and wonders God had worked through them among the Gentiles. Acts 15:12

Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them.

Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, “We exorcise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches.” Also there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so. And the evil spirit answered and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?” Then the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, overpowered them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. Acts 19:11-16

False ones cannot cast out demons or heal the sick. The signs and wonders that follow them are dead words that don’t give life to any one! But God’s word is unchanging:

Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant: You know that you were Gentiles, carried away to these dumb idols, however you were led. Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit. There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills. 1 Corinthians 12:1-11

Yes, just like Apostle Paul talked about in Acts 13:6-12, there are those who are full of all deceit and all fraud, sons of the devil, enemies of all righteousness, who will not cease perverting the straight ways of the Lord denying the moving of the Holy Ghost, and the existence of Apostles and prophets and gifts of the Spirit. They are in the way of many seeking to turn people from the faith. They have a form of godliness even though they call themselves Christians or fundamentalists. But God’s word is unchanging:

For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works. 2 Corinthians 11:13-15

Such false ones, deceitful workers, who are devoid of miracles, signs and wonders, convince many that they are saved because the followed some ‘biblical formula’ such as professing Christ but ignoring the baptism of the Spirit that John, Jesus and Paul preached and talked about. God’s word is unchanging:

“I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. Matthew 3:11

So He said to them, “You will indeed drink My cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with; but to sit on My right hand and on My left is not Mine to give, but it is for those for whom it is prepared by My Father.” Matthew 20:23

And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; “for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” Acts 1:4-5

Yes, John the Baptist baptized with water but Jesus baptized with the Holy Ghost. Yes, on the day of Pentecost Jesus fulfilled his promise for His disciples and they were baptized not in water but with the Holy Spirit and they spoke in tongues and prophesied. As a matter of fact according to Apostle Peter the sign of speaking in tongues was the basis for water baptism for the gentiles. The bible records:

“And He commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that it is He who was ordained by God to be Judge of the living and the dead. “To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins.”

While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word. And those of the circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also. For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God. Then Peter answered, “Can anyone forbid water, that these should not be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?” Acts 10:42-47

Now the false ones, the sons of hell, have said that on the day of Pentecost those gathered in the upper room spoke in tongues to witness to the people? But that statement is a lie from the pits of hell because those of the circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also and there was no reason for it! Just like when Paul laid hands on twelve men and they also spoke in tongues and prophesied:

And it happened, while Apollos was at Corinth, that Paul, having passed through the upper regions, came to Ephesus. And finding some disciples he said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” So they said to him, “We have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit.” And he said to them, “Into what then were you baptized?” So they said, “Into John’s baptism.”

Then Paul said, “John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.”

When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied. Now the men were about twelve in all. Acts 19:1-7

Yes, John, the Baptist, baptized with water with a baptism of repentance but Jesus Christ, the Baptizer in the Holy Ghost, baptizes people with the Holy Ghost and power so that they might receive power and be witnesses to His miracles, signs and wonders. The truth of the matter is that speaking in tongues and prophesying were the signs of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit that prophet Joel and Apostle Peter had talked about:

But Peter, standing up with the eleven, raised his voice and said to them, “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and heed my words. “For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day. “But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams. And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy. I will show wonders in heaven above And signs in the earth beneath: Blood and fire and vapor of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD. And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be saved.’ Acts 2:14-21

1 Peter 1:15 but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct,
16 because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”

Revelation 22:11 He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous still; he who is holy, let him be holy still.”

GALATIANS 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

2 Corinthians 7:1 Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Ephesians 4:24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

Prince teaches a so-called gospel devoid of Biblical repentance and based on mental assent, as he implies his heretical once saved always saved belief. Just pray a little prayer and you’re forever saved while in your sins. He brushes off the vital necessity of turning away from wickedness by misapplying the meaning of repentance and therefore doesn’t teach saving faith and its accompanying crucifying the flesh (Gal. 5:24). Joseph Prince stated:
Repentance just means changing your mind. When John the Baptist said, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!” he was essentially saying, “Change your mind, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!” (p. 233)

Permanent Righteousness Without Doing What Is Right
Joseph Prince teaches the typical eternal security imputed righteous message as his secret, which is glaringly lethal:
My friend, righteousness is a gift because of what Jesus has accomplished on the cross for you. All your sins – past, present and future – have been washed clean by His precious blood. You are completely forgiven and from the moment you received Jesus into your life, you will never be held liable for your sins ever again. You have been made as righteous as Jesus…. (pp. 28, 29)
He sees you clothed with Jesus’ righteousness. So begin to see yourself clothed in Jesus’ righteousness. (p. 29)
The more you realize that you are righteous, the more victory you will experience over sin! Wake up every morning and give thanks that you are the righteousness of God through Jesus Christ. (p. 31)
Is Jesus righteous before God? Yes! Then so are you. Is He accepted before God? Yes! Then so are you. Is He well-pleasing before God? Yes! Then so are you. (p. 58)
God cannot see your sins when they are covered by the blood. (p. 209)

Don’t uncover your sins or the sins of others. They have been completely forgiven by the blood of Jesus (p. 211).
When God looks at you, all He sees is the blood of Jesus that makes you completely righteous. (p. 251)

There is no argument that Jesus is our righteousness (Rom. 1:17; 1 Cor. 1:30; Phil. 3:9; etc.), but that righteous standing before God can change and has for some:
If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them. Of them the proverbs are true: “A dog returns to its vomit,” and, “A sow that is washed goes back to her wallowing in the mud.” (2 Pet 2:20-22)

Just For the Asking?

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. James 1:17

“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” Luke 11:13

According to Jesus Christ, if we lack things in our life it’s our fault because we don’t ask. Our Father God has everything that we need and more than enough of it. And He delights to give good things to those who ask Him especially the Holy Spirit and “The Kingdom.” Of course our enemy, the devil, will try to do everything to stop us from asking, including showing how unworthy we are of anything. And then he will even try to steal from us what God has given to us. And many people, even God’s people, just freely let him steal their health, their riches, their good name and other gifts that God has given them. Nevertheless God’s word is unchanging:

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. “For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. “Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? “Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! Matthew 7:7-11

“Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Luke 12:32

The kingdom of God is not only righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit but is also divine health, divine favor, divine blessings, divine prosperity, divine health and divine victory! And it’s all wrapped up in Jesus Christ who became poor so that we might be rich. It’s a fact that we are immensely rich because we have Jesus Christ and He is priceless. He is our all our, our brother, our friend, our Lord, our reward and our all. He is the best thing that we ever have or will have! And there is no one like Him or greater than He is. God’s word is unchanging:

Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. Psalm 103:1-5

You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 1 John 4:4

Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. For I rejoiced greatly when brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. 3 John 1:2-4

But the other side of the coin about lack is that we cannot treat what God has given us freely unwisely and be unfaithful with the different gifts. One day we will give an account to God for all the gifts and giftings that He has given us. So we need to ask the Father for wisdom and discernment to handle the wealth and gifts that He give us and to use them all wisely. God’s word is unchanging:

And Pharaoh said to his servants, “Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is the Spirit of God?” Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Inasmuch as God has shown you all this, there is no one as discerning and wise as you. “You shall be over my house, and all my people shall be ruled according to your word; only in regard to the throne will I be greater than you.” And Pharaoh said to Joseph, “See, I have set you over all the land of Egypt.” Then Pharaoh took his signet ring off his hand and put it on Joseph’s hand; and he clothed him in garments of fine linen and put a gold chain around his neck. And he had him ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried out before him, “Bow the knee!” So he set him over all the land of Egypt. Pharaoh also said to Joseph, “I am Pharaoh, and without your consent no man may lift his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.” Genesis 41:38-44

And you shall take no bribe, for a bribe blinds the discerning and perverts the words of the righteous. Exodus 23:8

For God is my witness, how greatly I long for you all with the affection of Jesus Christ. And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God. Philippians 1:8-11

We must be filled with the Spirit of the LORD and be discerning and wise just like Joseph was if we want God to promote us and to use us greatly. We must discern good and evil and not be perverted and corrupted by others including the enemy. We must have an understanding heart to judge God’s people and to understand to discern justice and the unsavory. Yes, we must cry out for discernment, and lift up our voice for understanding. God’s word is unchanging:

Folly is joy to him who is destitute of discernment, But a man of understanding walks uprightly. Proverbs 15:21

Strike a scoffer, and the simple will become wary; Rebuke one who has understanding, and he will discern knowledge. Proverbs 19:25

“And they shall teach My people the difference between the holy and the unholy, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean. Ezekiel 44:23

Then you shall again discern Between the righteous and the wicked, Between one who serves God And one who does not serve Him. Malachi 3:18

For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. 1 Corinthians 11:29

Yes, we must discern between the unclean and the clean, between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him. Otherwise we will find ourselves in the judgments of God for supporting the unclean and wicked ones. We must discern the times we live in as well as God’s seasons and timings in life. And we must not be undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, and unmerciful or we will find ourselves in places we never expected to be. Yet God’s word is unchanging:

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:12-16

But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. Hebrews 5:14

One day I decided to go prayer walk my old university in Dallas. It had been bothering me how they would not let people speak the name of Jesus or Christianity there, but students were only allowed to use the word “spiritual” and not mention Jesus. (A Methodist University in Dallas!) I had a bottle of olive oil I had been praying over as “anointing oil” and so I went out to pray.

I prayer walked the stadium, claiming it for Jesus and anointing it, I prayer walked many buildings. I prayer walked the art building, anointing it, and went inside the painting department and hid a bible way up under the sink, and anointed the rooms, the easels, etc. While I was praying, my old friend the tenured professor saw me and said, “Cody! What are you doing here?” I said, “Just visiting.” He said, “You are just in time, we are going to hear an art history candidate, and vote on whether he will be a professor here or not. Would you like to come to the meeting?” I said okay. My hands were dripping in olive oil from anointing everything, but I just managed to wipe them off, and went to the meeting.

I came into the room and sat among all the professors, the candidate began to give his talk. He was an expert on some guy in California that was a huge occultist who made his art shows into occult ceremonies and people that went into the galleries unwitting participants in his dark magic workings. He wore a hood and did all sorts of sorcery and called it “art”. He was going all around California doing his ceremonies as “performance art” on the high places. This professor was just so in awe of him, making him out to be such a great artist, it was creepy.

Finally he told about how the “artist” tragically died when his house slid off the mountaintop. I wanted to get up and cheer! But I remained silent, praying quietly. I prayed all the way home over that. I did not think the university should teach its students how to be art-sorcerers and do creepy stuff on the high places. But I told my professor friend my views too. The man did not get the job as a professor.

But when I got home, though I had only been gone about 3-4 hours, while I was out praying over Dallas, a customer came in and bought $3000 in merchandise, then one bought $4000 in merchandise, then a man called from Florida and bought about $50,000 in a wholesale order. My mom, an elderly widow who owned the business, was ecstatic and overjoyed, sales had been almost flat-lining all month, but while I was out praying, she got nearly $60,000 in sales effortlessly!

I think if you will go do God’s business, God will take care of your business. Later I told a fellow about this, and he got all excited and wanted to go prayer walking with me, so I went with him and we prayer-walked the superbowl, his idea, but his motives were all wrong, and no sales came in, nothing at all. I later found out he was a pretty phony Christian in many ways. Its not about doing something to get something. It doesn’t work that way. When you just get lost in doing the Lord’s work, he will take care of the needy widows in your life.

I was out driving around praying one day and I drove by a gallery where an old friend who was worldly, owned and operated it. I suddenly stretched out my hand toward the gallery and began commanding healing for his kidneys and liver and all sorts of things. The light changed to green and I had to drive on with the traffic. Later I visited my old professor friend and mentioned the gallery owner. He told me that he had fallen very ill and was in the hospital with kidney and liver problems and would probably need a transplant. I told the professor, “That is strange, I just prayed very hard for his kidneys and liver today.” The next week my old friend was out of the hospital and doing fine. The professor got kind of addicted to my prayers, I prayed him out of a couple of hospital visits, in fact, they released him at 9am to go home, but his wife called me and said he won’t go home, he wants you to take him home. I said, “I’m out working. I cannot possibly get there until late tonight. Just take him home, he is well.” But she said he would not go. So that night at about 10pm I came and wheeled him out of the hospital and back home. When he was back at his desk, he wept, and then he got his comfort back, and slipped back into his worldly role. People need God when they are desperate, but when they think they can handle it, they put God back on the shelf. You know, we should always be desperate for God, because we always need Him much more than we realize!

I delivered a fountain to a fellow on a large wooded horse ranch, with a nice brick home, and a metal workshop. He told me how he and his wife lived in a trailer dealing drugs, and someone came by and shared the gospel with them, and they got saved and filled with the Holy Spirit and cleaned up their lives. But they had a problem, how would they pay the rent now that they were not dealing drugs? They were down to their last $200 bucks and it would not pay the rent, and their tattooed friend who was also suddenly a new creature in Christ Jesus was going to preach the gospel in Mexico, so they sowed the $200 into his ministry, and some things happened miraculously in their finances, and he also got a job at a factory that made machined parts.

He studied his bible every lunchbreak, and was mocked by all the factory coworkers. The Lord told him to buy his own metal lathe machine, which he did after studying manuals and finding a used one. He asked the owner if he could have it shipped to the factory because he did not have a forklift to unload it. He continued to read his bible and sow tithe into the mexican mission. The metal lathe arrived and he got it home and got his first contract too. Suddenly the factory closed and all the workers were laid off, told to just sweep the floors and clean up on their last two weeks of employment. But this fellow asked the boss if he could go ahead and go home because he already had so much work to do on his used lathe and new contracts. So he drove away with the dock workers staring at him.

He got more contracts and kept sowing into ministries the Lord showed him to help. One day he was told about a ministry in downtown Dallas that fed the homeless, it was going to close if they didn’t get $4800 that month. So he prayed, Lord if you will send the contract I will tithe on it to that ministry, but I don’t have the $4800 to help them right now. The next day he got another contract a large one, and the tithe on it was $4800. He gave the lady the money to keep feeding the homeless in downtown Dallas. He kept sowing and growing. The horse ranch he was on came at a miraculous price, with everything they were looking to have.

Then he took me into his factory next to his house, out there in the peaceful woods. His only employees were three sleeping dogs laying around on the floor. Inside the metal building, several metal lathes churned out parts for cables and things. Each lathe was connected to a computer that told it what to do. On each lathe was a magnet holding a piece of paper with a picture of a pastor and his church. Some churches were in India, or Indonesia, or Africa, etc. I asked him what the pieces of paper with the churches were for? He said that the tithe money from each contract for each machine went to a specific church.

So one lathe, spinning out little metal parts, was for a specific contract, say $50,000, and the tithe on that contract was going to that little church in Indonesia, and so on, for every machine in the building. He was the only employee, all alone there among his humming machines, so he played his guitar and wrote praise music, and hung out with the three dogs. That is what I saw, that is his story. These three abide, seed, time, and harvest. Whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap.

You Hold the Key

I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. – Matthew 16:19

The Greek text of that scripture would literally read, “I give you the keys of the kingdom. Whatever you declare locked on earth is locked in heaven and whatever you declare unlocked on earth is unlocked in the heavenlies.”

The heaven Jesus was talking about there isn’t the heaven where God resides. He was talking about the battle zone, about the heaven where Satan’s forces are operating.

He was telling us that God has given us power to bind the wicked spirits in heavenly places and to loose the angelic powers of God to work in our behalf.

Philippians 2:9-10 says, “We have been given a Name which is above every name, and at the Name of Jesus every knee shall bow!” Where? In heaven, in earth and under the earth. That covers it all!

As believers, we have total authority over the powers of Satan. We can take authority over the evil spirits that are trying to destroy this nation. We can take authority over them in the Name of Jesus and pull down their strongholds.

It is time we began to realize how important we are to world affairs. Since the day Jesus gave us the Great Commission, the life or death of the world has been in the hands of the Church. We are the ones who have the mighty Name of Jesus and the awesome strength of the gospel to bring life and abundance to every creature. We are the ones whose prayers can change every office of authority in this land.

It’s up to you and me to begin to intercede right now and use the power God has given us. We may come from different lands with different backgrounds, but we all have one thing in common–Jesus Christ is our Lord. And that alone is enough to alter the spiritual complexion of this earth.
