THIRD WAVE REVIVALS ARE FALSE

200885447_640MODERN DAY REVIVALS ARE A JOKE

Acts 8:5 Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ to them. 6 And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.7 For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed; and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed. 8 And there was great joy in that city.

God and His power, anointing and miracles have no changed one bit! Philip an ordinary layman preached Christ to the people and as a result  hearing and seeing the miracles which he did including  unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed; and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed.  While today’s revivals have no real impact on the community at all! A few people get healed in theory of something minor and the preachers preaches about everything but Christ and doesn’t forget to collect the offering. Of course the poor and needy are ignored! Even historically many of the so called revivals in many areas, after ten years, left no mark that there was ever a revival.

And most revivalists are devoid of integrity and true Christian character and are greedy thieves and arrogant fleshly ones unlike the real men of God in the book of Acts about whom was stated were “men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom…And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and signs among the people.” The anointing on the so called men of God today is so minuscule that it almost dissipates after a few minutes  and produces very little concrete results. Never mind mind of the prophecies given by the false ones are nothing but a joke!

THIRD WAVE FAKE HOLY SPIRIT REVIVALS ARE TO BE AVOIDED

I hate these modern day revivals with the Fake Holy Spirit: Counterfeit spirits (‟FIRE‟ called down from heaven / slain in the spirit) are brought onto people, Strange manifestations (Kundalini spirit manifestations) Laughing and other sounds, Drunkenness Electricity sensation, No control of your body – Paralyzed on the floor, Convulsing, jerking or flailing about Visions, Demonic Visitations and Trips to Heaven and Hell! I hate their Occult experiences: Out of body experiences, Visiting people in dreams, Visiting places (earthly or heavenly), Third Heaven or trips to heaven and hell‟ experiences, Communicating with the dead in visions (be it saints or angels) is necromancy!

I dislike their New Age and/or Occultists beliefs/teaching/practice: Portals, gateways, spiritual gates, Heavenly realms, prayer realms, seer realms, glory realms Spiritual altars, Opening the Heavens with Ekstasis Worship, Spiritual hotspots, geographical areas that are more spiritual than others Atmosphere, vibrations, light, sound and colours, Numerology -applying symbolism or significance to numbers

I dislike their invention of keywords to describe their demonic counterfeit experiences and theology: keywords: apostolic, new wine, glory, refreshing, latter rain, glory cloud, soaking (same as meditating), move into the supernatural, prophetic, new breed, third wave, purpose driven, winds of change, winds of revival, supernatural motion, glory of the Lord, birthing, God’s kingdom is further being established on earth as it is in heaven, angelic hosts being released, connection points, portals, revival hubs, releasing, impartation’s or imparted with… , DNA, quantum, spiritual covering, global harvest, rains of revival, great awakening, new age, new dawn, suddenlies, oneness in Christ, unity, secret place, glory of God manifests on earth, visitation or visitations, paradigm, shifting, alignment, transported, prophetic towers, revolution, revolutionary, vertical and horizontal apostles, new beginnings, soaking in the Glory, operate in the glory and power of God, city transformation, activating and mobilizing others into their gifting, accurate prophetic words, prophetess, Nazarite, passion for revival, intercessor, releasing power and glory, promise keepers (mighty men, iron men), rise up  army of believers, passing on the mantle, Elijah legacy, Anointings named after biblical people, Slain in the Spirit, transformation, reformation, third heaven, opening the heavens, God is doing a new thing in your life, increasing your anointing, pulling up the tent stakes, God is increasing your territory, etc…”

I dislike their False prophets, Money changers and cult ways: IHOP is the bastard child of he now debunked and evil Kansas City Prophets alliance which spawned the twisted and deviant line of sexual predator Bob Jones, homosexual alcoholic Paul Cain, convicted child abuser, serial adulterer Todd Bentley. Mike Bickle led a team of false prophets as KCP prophesying in 1990 that the UK would experience great revival. Not only does history show this to be false, but affirms the very opposite to be true. The UK has slid further into moral and spiritual decline ever since.

From Kansas City to the religious fiasco in Toronto,to the failed revival at Brownsville resulting in a major church split and public financial scandal, and on to the infamous heresy and abuse of Lakeland. The same odious characters at the core attracting like-minded charlatans including the Strader bothers, Daniel imprisoned until 2036 for defrauding elderly Christians out of $3million and Stephen who was thought by the judge to be just as guilty. After Bentley‟s exposure in the USA on ABC Nightline he was swiftly removed from ministry to prevent further scrutiny. Not only was he unable to provide evidence of a single healing, many who were pronounced healed have since died. Furthermore the Arnold Palmer Hospital has stated that claims of resurrections were bogus.

A thread of carnality and heresy runs through the veins of this movement whose very DNA was present in the disgraced William Branham. It would seem that many Christians have still to learn that our privilege of calling is fulfilled in the PURSUIT OF GOD, not experiences. The twisted “charisma” of these false teachers/prophets bears no resemblance to the biblical practice of charismata or charismatic gifting as spoken of by Paul in 1Cor 14.

It’s obvious to most people that Todd Bentley and his Florida revival was an absolute dud and of demonic origin. And Todd Bentley, the criminally convicted homosexual pedophile turned drunken heretic and adulterer who kicked old ladies in the face and stomach on YouTube at the failed Lakeland, Florida counterfeit revival has entered into a biblically adulterous re- marriage while under a ―process of restoration‖ led by biblically proven false prophet Rick Joyner.

Bentley was ring master at a debacle of lunacy and false healing debunked on national TV orchestrated by the infamous Strader family, whom the District Attorney implicated in financial scandals defrauding elderly Christians of millions of dollars. While the Florida District Attorney publicly names Pastor Steve Strader as complicit in the swindling, his brother was sent to prison for over 30 years as a professional gangster under American anti racketeering RICO statutes. Bob Jones was debunked as a sexual predator with vulnerable women while Paul Cain was publicly disclosed to be a drunken pervert with a life long history of alcoholism and homosexuality. (Jacob Prasch)

In 2009 after the revival failed and Todd Bentley divorced his wife, Rick Joyner led the restoration team which included leaders who had vouched for Bentley‘s good character in the past even as he was deceiving us all, and has posted a letter on his web page. We are informed that ‗Even so, they are married now and are resolved to make the most of their marriage, their lives, and to continue to serve the Lord in the best way that they can.

Their being married far from making it right has in my view made matters even worse and totally disqualified Todd Bentley from any reinstatement in ministry in the foreseeable future. It means there is no repentance. He has simply gone into outright rebellion by marrying his mistress. Even if his wife had chosen to divorce him, which does not seem to be the case, a more judicious, moral and righteous course of action would have been to break off this adulterous relationship and stay celibate before God Instead, he remarries quickly. And we are put before the fait accompli. Is there a recent translation of the New Testament that decrees that the solution to adultery is to quickly divorce the offended party and marry the mistress? ( Pastor Bola Olivia Ogedengbe, ABBA HOUSE church, Paris)

The jerking in Toronto, Brownsville or any other revival place is not a sign of the Holy Spirit but of a Kundalini demon which infiltrated Christianity mainly in North America through Rodney Howard Browne! The fact is the bible never talks about ―jerking‖ being an attribute of the Holy Spirit but rather it states but the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control THE KEY WORD HERE IS SELF-CONTROL AND WHEN YOU ARE POSSESSED BY A DEMONIC KUNDALINI SPIRIT THERE IS NO CONTROL AND THAT IS TOTALLY WRONG AND AGAINST SCRIPTURE

And it’s a fact that all the prophecies and prayers seen in the Todd Bentley Apostolic and Prophetic commissioning were false, useless and dead! It would have been very useful instead of just making a general statement “We believe another strong wave of Revival will descend upon us very soon. We have had several encouraging Prophetic Words recently, that God is about to move again very powerfully” that we were told who these prophets were and what was their proven track record so we could do what the scripture tells us to do in 1 Corinthians 14 “Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others judge” instead of taking the word of fools who supported and mentored Todd Bentley!

Bud Press of Christian Research tells us the truth about them:
The Prophetic Movement is a dark, evil wasteland teeming with false apostles, false prophets, hyper-heretics, false healers, and greedy, money-hungry con men and women, all of whom are overshadowed by Satan and his demonic forces. From the Prophetic Movement came doctrines of demons such as: man is a “god” or “God;” Jesus took on Satan’s nature, sinned, and had to be born again in hell; God is subject to man’s desires and wishes; visits to heaven and hell; fabricated and lying signs and wonders; extra-Biblical dreams, visions, and revelations; man-infested manifestations; prosperity poverty; and one-on-one encounters with angels, Old Testament prophets, New Testament apostles, and “Jesus Christ”.Many within the Prophetic Movement claim to live pain free, disease free, and even sin free (despite 1 John 1:8-10. Notice the word “we” in all three passages). But one thing they won’t live free from is old age and death.

Now as the many movements within the hyper-Charismatic camp merge into one, they bring their own counterfeit gospel, counterfeit spirit, and counterfeit “Jesus Christ,” who disguises himself as an angel of light, and is backed by false apostles, deceitful workers–men and women who appear as servants of righteousness (2 Corinthians chapter 11).

In 2 Timothy 3:12-13, the Apostle Paul lovingly warned Timothy of what to expect from the world and wolves in sheep’s clothing:

But the other side of the coin is that the Traditional local churches are not better than the Third Wave churches. The bible tells us about Jesus:

MT 4:24 Then His fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them.

ACTS 10:38 “how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

Jesus went about healing all who were oppressed by the devil brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them. And none of the so called Evangelicals who are proclaiming the good news of the Gospel are demonstrating why it’s good news!  They are not healing the sick, casting out devils or talking about the Anointing that was on Jesus can be on them to do greater works! Why? Because they are deceived!

It seems in their doctrines of demons there are no more oppression by the devils afflicting people with various diseases problems  and torments! Hogwash! The devil and his cohorts are alive and well do damage to most Christians even in Traditional and Emergent Churches. Many of their demonic doctrines are that poverty and sickness are God’s will and divine prosperity healing and prosperity is off the devil. A complete perversion of scripture.  They talk that they are suffering like Job’s in his trial! But that is hogwash because Job was healed, delivered and blessed in his trial or testing while they are not. And Jesus Christ who is the same yesterday today and forever and is no respecter of person can do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask pray or think.

God wants to make people whole body soul and spirit and to bless them in every way with the blessings not curses of Deuteronomy 28. He wants their  lives to  be shalom. Everything to  be whole, peaceful, healthy, safe, sound, tranquil, prosperous, perfect, full, restful, and in harmony. There  is to be no agitation and there will be no discord. God’s plan is for us to walk past our needs and to be complete in Him. God’s word tells us:

LK 12:32 “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
MT  7:7  “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 7:8 “For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 7:9 “Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 7:10 “Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? 7:11 “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!P

Yes there are two sides of the coin here. Persecution and sickness do come upon the righteous but Jesus Christ is still the Savior, healer and deliverer and He can and will turn things around for His trusting ones like He did many times for Apostle Paul.

The Third Wave Movement is a Pentecostal or Charismatic movement that began in the 1980s. It is sometimes called the “Third Wave of the Holy Spirit” or the “Signs and Wonders Movement.” The name “Third Wave” was coined by C. Peter Wagner, a professor at Fuller Theological Seminary. He referred to the movement as the “Third Wave” because this was the third of three distinct Pentecostal/Charismatic movements in modern Christianity. The first wave was the original Pentecostal Movement that began in the early 1900s with the teachings of Charles Parham followed by the Azusa Street Revival. The second wave then came in the 1960s with the Charismatic movement. In the Charismatic movement, Pentecostal doctrines, teachings and practices began to spread to non-Pentecostal churches and denominations. This wave brought increased popularity to the “Word of Faith” or “Name It and Claim It” false teachings that are still popular today.

Then, in the 1980s, another “movement of the Holy Spirit,” supposedly characterized by “signs and wonders,” began in the Vineyard Church with the teachings of Charles Wimber, Mike Bickle, C. Peter Wagner, Jack Deere, and others. Professor Wagner characterized this Third Wave as being “a new moving of the Holy Spirit among evangelicals who, for one reason or another, have chosen not to identify with either the Pentecostals or Charismatics.” Also known as the Neo-Charismatic Movement, this Third Wave of Pentecostal doctrine and excess became very popular and led to many aberrant teachings such as the Toronto Blessing and laughing in the Spirit.

In addition to highlighting some of the melodramatic practices of the Pentecostal and Charismatic movements, the Third Wave goes even further with its emphasis on the sensational, including claims of signs and wonders performed by “modern-day apostles and prophets.”

Key teachings of the Third Wave Movement include what is known as “power evangelism.” The basic premise of power evangelism is that the preaching of the gospel must be accompanied with signs and wonders in order for people to respond in faith. Proponents of this view have an unbalanced focus on miracles, speaking in tongues, healing and prophecy. They miss the fact that it is the gospel message itself that is the power of God to salvation (Romans 1). Third Wave proponents essentially deny the sufficiency of Scripture and believe that God is communicating directly though modern-day prophets and apostles. Therefore, they believe that God is giving new revelation today which undermines the sufficiency and authority of Scripture. The words of these “new apostles and prophets” become more important than the clear teaching of Scripture. As with all Pentecostal/Charismatic movements, personal experience plays a greater role for determining “truth” than does sound doctrine.

The Third Wave is yet another movement that is based on people’s experience rather than on sound doctrine. Proponents of the Third Wave Movement believed that it would bring forth end-time apostles and prophets to do greater miracles than were performed by Old Testament prophets or New Testament apostles. These “new apostles and prophets” were said to be greater than any prophet or apostle that had preceded them. This teaching has resulted in many false prophets coming out of Third Wave churches.

Since its beginning in the 1980s, the Third Wave Movement has sparked a large number of counterfeit revivals. As the movement evolved, unbiblical practices such as “laughing in the spirit” continued to get more and more bizarre. In recent years some Third Wave leaders and churches have begun to separate themselves from some of the more aberrant practices and are trying to move back to more traditional Charismatic practices. This Third Wave of Pentecostalism has left in its wake a history of false teachings and destructive practices. Many have been led astray.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this very serious matter.
There is a revival coming. But it is going to be so unlike the false revivals that are mentioned in this post. God promised in the book of Joel that He would pour out His Holy Spirit on His people. This promise was fulfilled on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2) and it will be fulfilled again before Jesus comes back in all His glory.
I believe that the true revival will be orderly and God-centered. The Bible says that God is a God of order and not of chaos. This whole charismatic stuff is very unbiblical and man-centered (only a man-centered religion would have the gall to say that we lowly humans are “god”).
Christians who participate in the true revival will not laugh and be giddy, on the contrary, they will weep because they will realize how sinful they are and will repent of their sins in the name of Jesus Christ.
The preachers will not be those who shout “fire on the choir!” and knock people over in the spirit (not the Holy Spirit that is). The true revival preachers will preach hard biblical messages on repentance and reformation; kind of like a modern day John The Baptist, and their sermons will wake up many a sleeping Christian from their spiritual slumber.
Christians will so unite in prayer and bible study during this time that they will be opened to the Holy Spirit, and the heavenly dove will come to them in all His fullness to fill them up with Himself.
I hope to see this revival and most of all I hope to be a part of it.

Thank you for your comments and quoting Acts 2 but according to God’s word a true revival in the church of Jesus Christ cannot be devoid of the gifts of the Spirit as per 1 Corinthians 12, 13,and 14 which have been given to the church of Jesus Christ:
      1 Corinthians 12:
1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant:
2 You know that you were Gentiles, carried away to these dumb idols, however you were led.
3 Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.
4 There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
5 There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord.
6 And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all.
7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:
8 for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit,
9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit,
10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.
11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.

27 Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.
28 And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues.
