BAMOTIVATIONAL SPEAKERS ARE FROM HELL

GOD IS A GOD OF POWER, ABUNDANCE AND DELIVERANCE

Psalms 105:37 He also brought them out with silver and gold, And there was none feeble among His tribes.
38 Egypt was glad when they departed, For the fear of them had fallen upon them.
39 He spread a cloud for a covering, And fire to give light in the night.
40 The people asked, and He brought quail, And satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
41 He opened the rock, and water gushed out; It ran in the dry places like a river.
42 For He remembered His holy promise, And Abraham His servant.
43 He brought out His people with joy, His chosen ones with gladness.
44 He gave them the lands of the Gentiles, And they inherited the labor of the nations,
45 That they might observe His statutes And keep His laws. Praise the LORD

Psalms 57:2 I will cry out to God Most High, To God who performs all things for me.

Mark 9:23 Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”

WHAT GOD HAS DONE BEFORE HE CAN AND WILL DO AGAIN FOR HIS TRUSTING ONES. YES ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE TO HIM WHO BELIEVES!

BUT  THESE MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER TYPES ONLY SHARE PARTS AND PIECES OF GOD’S WORD. YES, IF A PERSON IS JUST SEEKING THE LORD IT IS GOOD FOR THEM TO HEAR ABOUT JESUS AS THEIR SAVIOR AND GOD’S ETERNAL LOVE FOR THEM. BUT, ONCE THEY ARE “SAVED” AND REDEEMED OF THE LORD THAT IS ONLY THE BEGINNING OF THEIR WALK WITH THE LORD. GOD HAS SO MUCH “MORE” FOR THEM AND THAT IS WHERE THE PROBLEM LIES. THEY HAVE MANY, MANY, MANY WONDERFUL SPIRITUAL GIFTS FROM GOD THAT THEY ARE UNAWARE OF. ALSO, THEY ARE STUCK IN THE PIT OF LIFE AND HAVE NO WAY OUT UNLESS THEY SEEK GOD. MY PEOPLE PERISH FOR LACK OF KNOWLEDGE. JESUS CHRIST IS OUR SAVIOR AND REDEEMER. BUT, JESUS WANTS TO BE “LORD”. THAT IS WHAT THEY ARE NOT TAUGHT. THE ONLY WAY JESUS CAME BE “LORD” OF YOUR LIFE IS TO BE BAPTIZED IN THE HOLY SPIRIT AND ALLOW THE HOLY SPIRIT TO TEACH, LEAD, GUIDE YOU IN ALL THINGS. AGAIN, THAT IS JUST THE BEGINNING OF WALK BY FAITH. YES, GOD TAKES US FROM GLORY TO GLORY…..STEP BY STEP. WE ALL HAVE SO MUCH TO LEARN AND DO IN THE SPIRIT EACH AND EVERYDAY.

YES, PEOPLE HAVE TO LEAVE THE MOTIVATIONAL CAMP OTHER WISE THEY ARE STUCK AND DECEIVED ….YES, IT SAD THAT THEY OFFER PARTS AND PIECES ARE OF NO VALUE. THAT IS WHY SO MANY ARE STILL SEARCHING!!THEY KNOW SOMETHING IS MISSING????THAT IS NOT THE FULL OF GOSPEL OF CHRIST.

IT IS SAD THAT THESE CHRISTIAN CELEBS DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO ENTER INTO ALL THAT GOD HAS ALREADY PUT IN FRONT OF THEM? THEY HOLD THEM BACK, KEEP THEM DOWN??? THEY WANT THEM TO LOOK TO THEM FOR THEIR NEXT STEP AND NOT TO THE LORD??? WE NEVER RELY ON ANY “MAN”…. ONLY GOD ALMIGHTY GIVES US OUR MARCHING ORDERS. DAY BY DAY, STEP BY STEP.I CANNOT MAKE IT ON MY OWN. YES, I NEED MY LORD JESUS. BUT, I CAN MAKE IT WITHOUT THOSE CELEBRITIES AND ENTERTAINERS

WHAT I HAVE FOUND IN MY OBSERVATION IN CHRISTIAN CIRCLES IS THAT YOU GET A PIECE HERE, A DIFFERENT PIECE THERE AND ON AND ON. SO, THEY MUST LEAVE THE MOTIVATIONAL CAMP AND GO TO A NEW PLACE WHERE THEY LEARN THE WHOLE WORD OF GOD. ONLY THEN CAN THE GOD’S WORD HAVE POWER IN THEIR LIVES. OTHERWISE, THEY ARE JUST SITTING DUCKS FOR THE DEVIL AND CONTINUALLY SHADOW BOX ON THEIR OWN ABILITY. WE DO NOTHING ON OUR ABILITY. BUT, RELY SOLELY OF GOD’S ABILITY AND POWER IN EVERY AREA OF OUR LIVES. YES, THE BATTLE IS THE LORDS AND HE FIGHTS ALL OF OUR ENEMIES. HE WILL ANNIHILATE, OBLITERATE AND UTTERLY DESTROY THEM ALL OF OUR BEHALF. MANY CHRISTIANS ARE LEFT ALONE POWERLESS ON THEIR OWN ACCORD AND GIVE UP??? NO, THEY ARE A NEW CREATION IN CHRIST. BUT, THEY MUST ALLOW HIM TO CREATE IN THEM EVERYTHING NEW FROM THE INSIDE OUT.

A RELATIONSHIP WITH THE LORD, WALKING BY FAITH IN HIS HOLY SPIRIT, STANDING ON THE WORD OF GOD AND TOTAL SURRENDER OF “ALL” TO JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY TO BECOME A NEW CREATION IN CHRIST. “TRUST” IS THE ROOT OF THE PROBLEM. PEOPLE PUT THEIR TRUST IN THEIR OWN ABILITY AND DO NOT SURRENDER ALL TO JESUS.

ONLY THEN CAN THE LORD TAKE YOU, MAKE YOU AND MOLD YOU AS HE WILLS!! WE ARE “NEVER” THE SAME AFTER YOU TRULY EXPERIENCE THE PRESENCE OF GOD AND HIS HAND UPON YOUR LIFE, EVERYDAY AND IN EVERY WAY.

YES, WE ARE TO BE CHILD LIKE. A CHILD PUTS HIS HAND IN HIS DADDY’S HAND AS THEY CROSS THE STREET. THE CHILD KNOWS AS LONG AS HE IS HOLDING HIS DADDY’S HAND HE IS SAFE AND SECURE. THE CHILD IS UNAWARE OF WHERE THEY ARE GOING AND TOTALLY WILLING TO GO WHERE EVER DADDY IS GOING. THAT IS HOW WE ARE TO BE IN OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH THE LORD.

Victory or Defeat Comes From God

Therefore David blessed the LORD before all the assembly; and David said: “Blessed are You, LORD God of Israel, our Father, forever and ever. Yours, O LORD, is the greatness, The power and the glory, The victory and the majesty; For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, And You are exalted as head over all. Both riches and honor come from You, And You reign over all. In Your hand is power and might; In Your hand it is to make great And to give strength to all. Yours, O LORD, is the greatness, The power and the glory, The victory and the majesty; For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, And You are exalted as head over all. 1 Chronicles 29:10-12

“The LORD kills and makes alive; He brings down to the grave and brings up. The LORD makes poor and makes rich; He brings low and lifts up. He raises the poor from the dust And lifts the beggar from the ash heap, To set them among princes And make them inherit the throne of glory. “For the pillars of the earth are the LORD’S, And He has set the world upon them. He will guard the feet of His saints, But the wicked shall be silent in darkness. “For by strength no man shall prevail. The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken in pieces; From heaven He will thunder against them. The LORD will judge the ends of the earth. “He will give strength to His king, And exalt the horn of His anointed.” 1 Samuel 2:6-10

Salvation, healing, deliverance, miracles and victories come from God and not from men or their different methods. And David knew this to be true and he would most of time inquire of the LORD as to what to do about His enemies and the Lord would tell him including “Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?” And He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.” (1 Samuel 30:8). Then the Philistines went up once again and deployed themselves in the Valley of Rephaim. Therefore David inquired of the LORD, and He said, “You shall not go up; circle around behind them, and come upon them in front of the mulberry trees. “And it shall be, when you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry trees, then you shall advance quickly. For then the LORD will go out before you to strike the camp of the Philistines.” And David did so, as the LORD commanded him; and he drove back the Philistines from Geba as far as Gezer. (2 Samuel 5:22-25)

Yes David, just like Hannah knew from experience, that The LORD kills and makes alive; He brings down to the grave and brings up. He brings low and lifts up. The LORD makes poor and makes rich; He brings low and lifts up. They knew for by strength no man shall prevail. The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken in pieces; from heaven He will thunder against them.

So obviously if anyone doesn’t inquire from the LORD He will not have victory. But unfortunately for many Christians they are not hearing from the LORD but from deceiving spirits as they have no real discernment as they are not praying in the Spirit!

And you can pray until you drop dead but if God says no you will not have your desired answer because God looks at and deals with the heart of man and not just his words and deeds! Both Judas and Peter betrayed Jesus but Judas was not forgiven while Peter was. We see this in the statements Jesus made about these men:

“The Son of Man indeed goes just as it is written of Him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had never been born.” Mark 14:21

And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. “But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.” But he said to Him, “Lord, I am ready to go with You, both to prison and to death.” Then He said, “I tell you, Peter, the rooster shall not crow this day before you will deny three times that you know Me.” Luke 22:31-34

“Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are. “While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled. John 17:11-12

And God also sees your motives and the evil people you associate just like He saw and knew about Korah:

Now it came to pass, as he finished speaking all these words, that the ground split apart under them, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up, with their households and all the men with Korah, with all their goods. So they and all those with them went down alive into the pit; the earth closed over them, and they perished from among the assembly. Then all Israel who were around them fled at their cry, for they said, “Lest the earth swallow us up also!” And a fire came out from the LORD and consumed the two hundred and fifty men who were offering incense. Numbers 16:31-35

But I want to remind you, though you once knew this, that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe. Jude 1:5

Woe to them! For they have gone in the way of Cain, have run greedily in the error of Balaam for profit, and perished in the rebellion of Korah. These are spots in your love feasts, while they feast with you without fear, serving only themselves. They are clouds without water, carried about by the winds; late autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, pulled up by the roots; raging waves of the sea, foaming up their own shame; wandering stars for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever. Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, “to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.” These are grumblers, complainers, walking according to their own lusts; and they mouth great swelling words, flattering people to gain advantage. Jude 1:11-16

If God says “woe to you” because you are a grumbler, complainer, walking according to your own lusts you are in deep trouble and require immediate totally repentance or else your due reward will be destructive? God’s word is true:

“But woe to you who are rich, For you have received your consolation.

Woe to you who are full, For you shall hunger. Woe to you who laugh now, For you shall mourn and weep.

Woe to you when all men speak well of you, For so did their fathers to the false prophets. Luke 6:24-26

“But woe to you Pharisees! For you tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass by justice and the love of God. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone.
“Woe to you Pharisees! For you love the best seats in the synagogues and greetings in the marketplaces.
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like graves which are not seen, and the men who walk over them are not aware of them.” Luke 11:42-44

Jesus the epitome of love and character didn’t go around blessing people with words. He didn’t bless the religious and political leaders of His day but cursed them. ‘Woe to you’ doesn’t mean something good is going to happen to you. He called them all kinds of names including fools, hypocrites, murderers, serpents, brood of vipers, liars, blind guides, sons of hell, etc. He told them they would not escape the condemnation of hell (Matthew 23:15, 33, Luke 11:24-25, 23:38-31) and they didn’t!

The bible tells us what when God spoke as a result of His word heaven and earth came into existence? In other words, when God speaks a miracle happens? But not all of God’s miracles are positive ones as Pharaoh and his mighty army can testify when God parted the Red Sea and closed it on His enemies! When Jesus spoke miracles also happened because He is God. So what happened when Jesus spoke to the false ones of His day and our day and said “Woe to you?” They died in the judgments that followed in 70 A.D. at the hands of God’s other ministers, the Romans, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil (Romans 13:4).

But when it came to the poor and needy Jesus attitude and approach to such as these was completely different. The bible says of Jesus ‘A bruised reed He will not break, And smoking flax He will not quench, Till He sends forth justice to victory; And in His name Gentiles will trust’ (Matthew 12:20-21). He demonstrated His love for them by His miracle deeds. He healed the blind and cleansed the lepers. He was and is very kind and compassionate towards those who are poor and needy and need a miracle. When he saw a bereaving widow whose only son had died, he had compassion and brought the son back to life and presented him to his mother (Luke 7:12-15). When He saw a great multitude, He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick (Matthew 9:36, 14:14). When the blind men asked for healing, He had compassion and touched their eyes. And immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed Him (Matthew 20:30-34).

Yes, Jesus Christ loved the poor and didn’t cast them aside like others have done. He healed their sick, cleansed their lepers, raised their dead, and cast out their demons. But he didn’t have nice things to say to the rich and powerful even if it was King Herod. The bible records:

On that very day some Pharisees came, saying to Him, “Get out and depart from here, for Herod wants to kill You.” And He said to them, “Go, tell that fox, ‘Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.’ Luke 13:31-32

Jesus Christ was not and never will be a respecter of persons and doesn’t show partiality to any one including the rich and mighty. As a matter of fact the Word of God’s tells us it’s sin to show partiality and to be a respecter of persons. God’s word is unchanging:

My brethren, do not hold the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with partiality. For if there should come into your assembly a man with gold rings, in fine apparel, and there should also come in a poor man in filthy clothes, and you pay attention to the one wearing the fine clothes and say to him, “You sit here in a good place,” and say to the poor man, “You stand there,” or, “Sit here at my footstool,” have you not shown partiality among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts?

Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him? But you have dishonored the poor man. Do not the rich oppress you and drag you into the courts? Do they not blaspheme that noble name by which you are called? If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well; but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors. For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. For He who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.” Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law.

So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty. For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment. James 2:1- 13

WAKE UP AND FIGHT

esther-one-night-movie

For the record, the book of Esther is not an evangelical story.  There are many interesting things about the book of Esther which preachers never talk about including Greg Laurie. First of all it’s all about politics resulting from Mordecai not bowing down before Haman. Second God is not mentioned once. Third Esther was a reluctant participant in the process! Finally Esther and Mordecai ensure that Haman is destroyed and Mordecai gets Haman’s wealth and power!

In reality the real hero of the book of Esther is not Esther but Mordecai of whom the bible states:

Esther 10: 1  And King Ahasuerus imposed tribute on the land and on the islands of the sea. 2  Now all the acts of his power and his might, and the account of the greatness of Mordecai, to which the king advanced him, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Media and Persia? 3    For Mordecai the Jew was second to King Ahasuerus, and was great among the Jews and well received by the multitude of his brethren, seeking the good of his people and speaking peace to all his countrymen.

In reality the book of Esther is an encouragement for Christians to get involved in politics and destroy their enemies including incompetent President Obama and his Demoncrats who want to take away their God given rights!

Greg Laurie: There Are No Coincidences, Only Providence

BY ANUGRAH KUMAR, CHRISTIAN POST CONTRIBUTOR

September 17, 2013|10:41 am

Pastor Greg Laurie of Southern California’s Harvest Church encouraged believers to use their influence, gifts, and talents for God’s glory, explaining from the story of Esther that there are no coincidences, but only providence in Christians’ lives.

The title of Laurie’s sermon on Sunday was, “For Such a Time as This,” the first in a series on the book of Esther.

Many of us like fairy tales, which typically end with the phrase “and they lived happily ever after,” Laurie told the congregation in his Riverside church and an online audience. But the truth is that life is not a fairy tale, he added. “Life is full of pain and unexpected twists and turns,” he said, adding, however, that the bigger picture is that we will live happily ever after but only when we get to heaven.

“In this story, there are no fairies, no witches, no princes, and no mermaids,” he said. However, there is a beautiful orphan girl named Esther who wins a beauty contest and becomes a queen. There is also an evil man who plots the destruction of her people. But because of her bravery, she saves her nation, and they really do live happily ever after, Laurie explained.

He noted that it’s a story where God is not specifically mentioned or prayed to in an overt way. “And yet God is clearly all over this book from beginning to end.” As Christians, we do not believe in coincidence, but in providence, he stated.

The story of Esther begins with Xerxes, the king of Persia, the pastor said. He ruled over a vast Persian empire that ranged from India to Ethiopia. He was raised as a royal, the son of Darius and the grandson of Cyrus.

History depicts Xerxes as a towering figure, a large man who stood taller than his contemporaries, Laurie added. He was also intolerant and insensitive, and he was lacking in people skills.

Xerxes decides to throw a great feast for all his kingdom, Laurie said, as he narrated the incident. Everyone is invited to the palace to eat the finest food and to drink as much as they wanted. During the feast, the king decides to bring in his beautiful queen, Vashti, to parade before his lords and subjects. But to his surprise, she refuses because she didn’t want to be treated as a mere object, a possession.

“The king’s buddies tell him he cannot allow Vashti to get away with this, because the other women in the kingdom would also never obey their husbands,” the pastor added. “They convinced him to fire Vashti. So the king needed a new queen, and what better way to do that than having a beauty contest. The most beautiful woman in Persia would become the next queen.”
This was significant because God wanted His person, Esther, to get into the palace, Laurie said.

So they had a contest for a new bride for Xerxes, the pastor continued. Many girls dream of becoming queen, Laurie mentioned. According to Jewish historian Josephus, about 400 women participated in the beauty contest. They found the most attractive virgins, who then underwent an extensive makeover.

This is when Hadassah, also known as Esther, came into the scene. She was quickly identified because of her beauty. But she was beautiful also on the inside; she had inner character; and later we see she was also brave, Laurie said.

God has given different gifts to different people, he added. “We need to cultivate our talents and use them for the glory of God… Do you know what your gifts are?”

Laurie read from Esther 2:10, “Esther had not told anyone of her nationality and family background, because Mordecai had directed her not to do so.” There is time to speak and there’s time to be silent, he explained.

“So Esther did become the queen. And if this were a fairy tale, the story would have ended with, ‘And they lived happily ever after.’ But this is not a fairy tale,” Laurie said.

Every good story has to have a protagonist and a villain, he added. “In Esther’s story, it was Haman, who would manipulate to get whatever he wanted. He hatched a plot to exterminate the Jewish race, and told the king about it. Xerxes signed a decree to that effect, without realizing that he had signed a death sentence for his own queen as well.”

Esther won the contest for a reason, Laurie explained. “But she was not prepared to use her influence to save the Jews, as she feared being put to death if she went into the king’s presence without being summoned. Then Mordecai told Esther what she needed to know. ‘If you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?’ as given in Esther 4:14.”

Esther finally put her beauty and feminine influence to deliver God’s people from death, risking her own life, Laurie said.

Like Esther, who was in the right place at the right time, God prepares all believers to use them, he added. Christians should be aware of what is happening around them, and should not isolate themselves, he said. They should infiltrate and permeate, and use their influence to glorify God.

GOD’S PROMISES

satisfied The God Of Miracle Lives

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, “teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. Matthew 18:18-20

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

The promises of God are many, and those who trust and obey can have all their needs supplied. Our help and supply goes beyond this earth. God has all power in heaven and in earth, and as God’s Children, we can have full assurance from on High that all will be well with us. Tribulations on this earth may be many, but God will deliver us out of them all as we lean and depend upon Him. Down through the years, God has been faithful to His obedient Children, and He is the same today. What ever our need is, whether it be physical, spiritual or financial, we can cast it upon the Lord and let Him perform miracles for us. God’s word is true:

“Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves also know- ACTS 2:22

Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ to them. And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed; and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed. And there was great joy in that city. Acts 8:5-8

Miracles exist because God exists, but God’s marvelous, miracle-working times have been preceded by times of marvelous, miracle-working praying. Jesus constantly prayed during the ministries. And the disciples prayed after Jesus left for the Holy Spirit and His power and they received it to do miracles. Prayer is simply asking God to do for us what he has promised us he will do if we ask him. The answer is a part of prayer, and is God’s part of it. God’s doing the thing asked for is as much a part of the prayer as the asking of the thing is prayer. Asking is man’s part. Giving is God’s part. The praying belongs to us. The answer belongs to God.[i]

Man makes the plea and God makes the answer. The plea and the answer compose the prayer. God is more ready, more willing and more anxious to give the answer than man is to give the asking. The possibilities of prayer lie in the ability of man to ask large things and in the ability of God to give large things. God’s only condition and limitation of prayer is found in the character of the one who prays. The measure of our faith and praying is the measure of his giving. As our Lord said to the blind man, “according to your faith be it unto you,” so it is the same in praying, “According to the measure of your asking, be it unto you.” God measures the answer according to the prayer. He is limited by the law of prayer in the measure of the answers he gives to prayer. As is the measure of prayer, so will be the answer.

If the person praying has the characteristics which warrant praying, then the possibilities are unlimited. They are declared to be “all things whatsoever.” Here is no limitation in character or kind, in circumference or condition. The man who prays can pray for anything and for everything, and God will give everything and anything. If we limit God in the asking, he will be limited in the giving.

Praying men and God’s providence go together. This was thoroughly understood by the praying ones of the Scripture. They prayed over everything because God had to do with everything. They took all things to God in prayer because they believed in a divine providence which had to do with all things. They believed in an ever-present God, who had not retired into the secret recesses of space, leaving his saints and his creatures to the mercy of a tyrant, called nature, and its laws, blind, unyielding, with no regard for anyone who stood in its way. If that be the correct conception of God, why pray to him? He is too far away to hear them when they pray, and too unconcerned to trouble himself about those on earth.

These men of prayer had an implicit faith in a God of special providence, who would gladly, promptly, and readily respond to their cries for help in times of need and in seasons of distress.

The so-called “laws of nature” did not trouble them in the least. God was above nature, in control of nature’ while nature was but the servant of Almighty God. Nature’s laws were but his own laws, since nature was but the offspring of the divine hand. Laws of nature might be suspended and no evil would result. Every intelligent person is conversant every day when he sees man overruling and overcoming the law of gravitation, and no one is surprised or raises his hand or voice in horror at the thought of nature’s laws being violated. God is a God of law and order, and all his laws in nature, in providence and in grace work together in perfect accord, with no clash or disharmony.

God suspends or overcomes the laws of disease and rain often without or independent of prayer. But quite often he does this in answer to prayer. Prayer for rain or for dry weather is not outside the moral government of God, nor is it asking God to violate any law which he has made, but only asking him to give rain in his own way, according to his own laws. So also the prayer for the rebuking of disease is not a request at war with law either natural or otherwise, but is a prayer in accordance with law, even the law of prayer, a law set in operation by Almighty God as the so-called natural law which governs rain or which controls disease.

The believer in the law of prayer has strong ground on which to base his plea. And the believer in a divine providence, the companion of prayer, stands equally on strong granite foundations, from which he need not be shaken. These twin doctrines stand fast and will abide forever.

In every condition, in sickness, in health, In poverty’s vale or abounding in wealth; At home or abroad, on the land or the sea, As thy days may demand shall thy strength ever be.

God is not now so evident in the world, so almighty in manifestation as of old, not because miracles have passed away, nor because God has ceased to work, but because prayer has been shorn of its simplicity, its majesty, and its power. God still lives and miracles still live while God lives and acts, for miracles are God’s ways of acting. Prayer is dwarfed, withered, and petrified when faith in God is staggered by doubts of lies ability, or through the shrinking caused by fear. When faith has a telescopic far-off vision of God, prayer works no miracles, and brings no marvels of deliverance. But when God is seen by faith’s closest, fullest eye, prayer makes a history of wonders.

Think about God. Make much of him, till he broadens and fills the horizon d faith. Then prayer will come into its marvelous inheritance of wonders. The marvels of prayer are seen when we remember that God’s purposes are changed by prayer, God’s vengeance is stayed by prayer, and God’s penalty is remitted by prayer. The whole range of God’s dealing with man is affected by prayer. Here is a force which must be increasingly used, that of prayer, a force which all the events of life ought to be subjected. Many miracles ought to be worked by our praying. Why not? Is the arm of the Lord shortened that he cannot save? Is his ear heavy that he cannot hear? Has prayer lost its power because iniquity abounds and the love of many has grown cold? Has God changed from what he once was? To all these queries we enter an emphatic negative. God can as easily today work miracles by praying as he did in the days of old. “I am the Lord; I change not.” “Is anything too hard for the Lord?”

He who works miracles by praying will first of all work the chief miracle on himself. Oh, that we might fully understand well the Christian’s trade of praying, and follow the trade day by day and thus make for ourselves great spiritual wealth!

All natural forces are under God’s control. He did not create the world and put it under law, and then retire from it, to work out its own destiny, irrespective of the welfare of his intelligent creatures. Natural laws are simply God’s laws, by which He governs and regulates all things in nature. Nature is nothing but God’s servant. God is above nature, God is not the slave of nature. This being true, God can and will suspend the working of nature’s laws, can hold them in abeyance by His almighty hand, can for the time being set them aside, to fulfill his higher purposes in redemption. It is no violation of nature’s laws when, in answer to prayer, he who is above nature makes nature his servant, and causes nature to carry out his plans and purposes.

This is the explanation of that wonderful prayer miracle of Old Testament times, when Joshua, in the strength and power of the Lord God, commanded the sun and moon to stand still to give time to complete the victory over the enemies of Israel. Why should it be thought a thing incredible that the God of nature and of grace should interfere with his own natural laws for a short season in answer to prayer, and for the good of his cause? Is God tied hand and foot? Has he so circumscribed himself that he cannot operate the law of prayer? Is the law of nature superior to the law of prayer? Not by any means. He is the God of prayer as well as the God of nature. Both prayer and nature have God as their maker, their ruler and their executor. And prayer is God’s servant, just as nature is his servant.

The prayer force in God’s government is as strong as any other force, and all natural and other forces must give way before the force of prayer. Sun, moon and stars are under God’s control in answer to prayer. Rain, sunshine and drought obey his will. “Fire and hail, snow and vapor, stormy wind fulfilling his word.” Disease and health are governed by him. All, all things in heaven and earth are absolutely under the control of him who made heaven and earth, and who governs all things according to his own will.

Prayer still works miracles among men and brings to pass great things. It is as true now as when James wrote his epistle, “The effectual fervent, prayer of a righteous man availed much.” And when the records of eternity are read out to an assembled world, then will it appear how much prayer has wrought in this world. Little is now seen of the fruits of prayer compared to all that it has accomplished and is accomplishing. At the judgment day, then will God disclose the things which were brought to pass in this world through the prayers of the saints? Many occurrences which are now taken as a matter of course will then be seen to have happened because of the Lord’s praying ones.

The work of George Muller in Bristol, England, was a miracle of the nineteenth century. It will take the opening of the books at the great judgment day to disclose all he wrought through prayer. This godly man never asked anyone for money for running expenses at his orphanage where hundreds of fatherless and motherless children were cared for. His practice was always to ask God for just what was needed, and the answers which came to him read like a record of apostolic times. He prayed for everything and trusted implicitly to God to supply all his needs. And it is a matter of record that never did he and the orphans ever lack for any good thing.

Of a holy man who has done so much for Christ and suffering humanity, it was said at the grave about him:

He prayed up the walls of a hospital, and the hearts of the nurses. He prayed mission stations into being, and missionaries into faith. He prayed open the hearts of the rich, and gold from the most distant lands.

Our prayers are too little and feeble to execute the purposes or to claim the promises of God with appropriating power. Marvelous purposes need marvelous praying to execute them. Miracle-making promises need miracle making praying to realize them. Only divine praying can operate divine promises or carry out divine purposes. How great, how sublime, and how exalted are the promises God makes to his people! How eternal are the purposes of God! Why are we so impoverished in experience and so low in life when God’s promises are so “exceeding great and precious”? Why do the eternal purposes of God move so tardily? Why they are so poorly executed? Our failure to appropriate the divine promises and rest our faith on them and to pray believingly is the solution. “We have not because we ask not.” We ask and receive not because we ask amiss.

God’s promises are dependent and conditioned upon prayer to appropriate them and make them a conscious realization. The promises are inwrought in us, appropriated by us, and held in the arms of faith by prayer. Let it be noted that prayer gives the promises their efficiency, localizes and appropriates them, and utilizes them. Prayer puts the promises to practical and present uses. Prayer puts the promises as the seed in the fructifying soil. Promises, like the rain are general. Prayer embodies, precipitates, and locates them for personal use. Prayer goes by faith into the great fruit orchard of God’s exceeding great and precious promises, and with hand and heart picks the ripest and richest fruit. The promises, like electricity, may sparkle and dazzle and yet be impotent for good till these dynamic, life-giving currents are chained by prayer, and are made the mighty forces which move and bless. God’s word is unchanging:

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. John 14:12

“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. “By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. John 15:7-8

“And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. “Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. John 16:23-24

[i] The Possibilities of Prayer by E.M.Bounds

HE, GOD NOT OBAMA, WILL SAVE US

20101014He, God not Obama, Will Save Us

Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite. Psalm 147:5

Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear Him, On those who hope in His mercy, To deliver their soul from death, And to keep them alive in famine. Our soul waits for the LORD; He is our help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in Him, Because we have trusted in His holy name. Let Your mercy, O LORD, be upon us, Just as we hope in You. Psalm 33:18-22

(For the LORD is our Judge, The LORD is our Lawgiver, The LORD is our King; He will save us); Isaiah 33:22

Christianity is not a religion but a relationship with a mighty God who is a Savior and everything that His trusting ones need! As a result God’s true children don’t have to accept any negative thing in their bodies, lives or circumstances be it sickness, disease, infirmity, poverty, bondage, lack, oppression or depression. God is more than enough to be all that they need and to deal with each one of their enemies. His word is unchanging:

“Therefore say to the children of Israel: ‘I am the LORD; I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, I will rescue you from their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments. Exodus 6:6

O LORD, be gracious to us; We have waited for You. Be their arm every morning, Our salvation also in the time of trouble. … The LORD is exalted, for He dwells on high; He has filled Zion with justice and righteousness. Wisdom and knowledge will be the stability of your times, And the strength of salvation; The fear of the LORD is His treasure. Isaiah 33:2-5

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Romans 8:31-32

Sooner or later trouble comes to everyone! But for those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior and are filled with the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:19) the Lord is their salvation also in the time of trouble as well as the strength of salvation. The LORD who is our Judge, the LORD who is our Lawgiver, the LORD who is our King, the Lord who is our all; He will save us. God’s word is unchanging:

The wilderness and the wasteland shall be glad for them, And the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose; It shall blossom abundantly and rejoice, Even with joy and singing. The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it, The excellence of Carmel and Sharon. They shall see the glory of the LORD, the excellency of our God. Strengthen the weak hands, And make firm the feeble knees. Say to those who are fearful-hearted, “Be strong, do not fear! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, With the recompense of God; He will come and save you.” Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, And the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then the lame shall leap like a deer, And the tongue of the dumb sing. For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness, And streams in the desert. The parched ground shall become a pool, And the thirsty land springs of water; In the habitation of jackals, where each lay, There shall be grass with reeds and rushes. And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, And come to Zion with singing, With everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness, And sorrow and sighing shall flee away. Isaiah 35:1-10

Yes, the Lord who makes the desert rejoice and blossom abundantly as the rose, even with joy and singing, will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God; He will come and save His trusting ones! They have His word on it. The Word of God of a God who doesn’t and cannot lie! Yes, He who opened the eyes of the blind, unstopped the ears of the deaf, made the lame leap like a dear and the tongue of the dumb sing, has not changed and is the same yesterday today and forever. He is still the great and powerful and wonderful miracle working God who can do anything but fail His trusting ones! As a result the ransomed of the LORD shall return with singing, with everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away (Isaiah 35:10, Ephesians 3:20-21).

We are to remember that poverty is not the will of God for any believer. Despite this truth, some people have taken a “vow of poverty.” Some Christians believe that poverty is part of being holy and righteous. This is far from the truth. Poverty has nothing to do with godliness. To be poor or impoverished means, “to be without; in lack; deprived.” You and I don’t serve a God of lack and insufficiency. He’s the God of the exceeding and abundant who wants to lavish us with His goodness. From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible proves that poverty goes against everything God desires for believers. Poverty is a spirit designed to keep believers in financial bondage. The devil uses this spirit to hinder Christians from prospering and ultimately fulfilling their destiny of being a blessing to the entire world (Genesis 12:2-3). God favors prosperity. According to Psalm 35:27 and 3 John 2, He is pleased when we prosper in our spirit, soul and body. His desire is that we prosper economically, socially, emotionally, mentally and physically

Unfortunately for them, many believers accept debt, financial hardship, substandard living, sickness and troubled relationships as a part of life. They settle for less than God’s best, unaware of their covenant rights with Him. As Christians and as King’s kids we have the right to prosper or succeed in every area of life-financially, emotionally, socially, mentally and physically. We have the right to total life prosperity! We can increase our knowledge base of what our covenant rights are by studying what the Bible has to say concerning God’s people. From finances to owning a successful corporation, we can learn how to lay hold of our inheritance of a life of prosperity now! We can overcome the devil through our testimony and confession as greater is He that is in us than He that is in the world. We can tell the devil:

Satan, our Jesus is bigger than any disease or problem you might give us. You are overcome by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of our testimony! (Rev. 12:11). We are washed clean by the blood of Jesus and by His stripes we are healed, and we refuse to accept the curse of sin and sickness and poverty and lack. We bind you right now by the Spirit of God in Jesus’ name. You foul devil of cancer, liver or diabetes or any other incurable disease, we command you to take your hands off our family and us right now in the name of Jesus. We curse the seed and we curse the root of every cancer, liver, diabetes and bad cell in our bodies and we command them to die in the name of Jesus. We speak a new immune system or any other system into our being and we speak a new blood system into our bodies, a blood system that will not accept cancer or foul cells. And in the mighty name of Jesus which is above every name, we command all of the electrical and chemical frequencies in every cell in our body to be in harmony and in balance and to digest the bad cells. We command everything in our bodies to be healed and made whole and to function properly for the reason it was created and to stay functioning until Jesus returns. In Jesus name we come against and rebuke anything evil, wicked, wrong, sick or negative thing in our bodies, hearts, circumstances and lives and command it to go away and never come back, in Jesus name. Amen and amen!

We are redeemed from the curse as Jesus had become a curse for us, Galatians 3:13, and His blood is flowing in our blood stream. It flows to every cell of our body, restoring life and health. (Mark 11:23; Luke 17:6.) The life of First Peter 2:24 is a reality in our flesh, restoring every cell of our body for by Jesus stripes we were healed. We have presented our body to God for it is the temple of the LIVING GOD. And God now dwells in us and His LIFE permeates our SPIRIT, SOUL and BODY so that we are filled with the fullness of God daily and preach the whole counsel of God. (Rom.12: 1,2; John 14:20, Acts 20:27.) Our body is the temple of the HOLY GHOST and not our own. In Jesus name we make a demand on our body to release the right chemicals, to be in perfect chemical balance and for our pancreas to secrete the proper amount of insulin for life and health. (1 Corinthians. 6:19.)

Satan we speak to you and in the authority of Jesus’ Name and we say to all your principalities and powers, your master spirits that rule this present darkness, and your spiritual wickedness in high places they are all totally and completely bound here as they are already bound in Heaven. We are loosed from all your power according to Colossians 1:13, as God has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed me into the kingdom of the Son of His love which is above every thrones or dominions or principalities or power, past, present or future. We are saved, healed, delivered and filled with the Spirit of God through the name and blood of Jesus. We command that you take your hands off all that touches and concerns us especially our finances and to restore in Jesus name seven fold everything that you have stolen from us for we are God’s property!

We also can use our angels and release them to make real our blessings:

Man was created a little lower than God, and angels were created lower than man. In Christ, we have a right to all that is God’s and all that is at His disposal, including angels. Angels are ministering spirits assigned to minister to and for the heirs of salvation (Hebrews 1:13-14). As a born-again believers, that means us!

The terms of our covenant with God are administered, managed, supplied, executed, superintended, dispensed, distributed and furnished through the ministry of angels.

Praying in the name (authority) of Jesus. “If you ask anything in My name, I will do it (John 14:14).

Declaring that we are heirs of salvation and God. (ROM 8:17, GAL 3:29, EPH 3:6, 2TM 3:9, TI 3:7 HEB 6:17, HEB 11:9, JMS 2:5)

Declaring that they have been sent to minister to our needs. Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation? (Hebrews 1:14).

As long as we remain in the will of God, angels are charged with our protection and deliverance (Psalm 91:11, AMP; 34:7; Daniel 3:28-29; 6:22; Acts 12:7-9; 27:22-23).

For God’s promises to be established in our life, we must decree them (You will also declare a thing, And it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways. Job 22:28). We also decree that have a covenant with God and the anointing to get wealth. “And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day. (Deuteronomy 8:18)

Angels only respond to the voice of God’s Word that we decree (Bless the LORD, you His angels, Who excel in strength, who do His word, Heeding the voice of His word. Bless the LORD, all you His hosts, You ministers of His, who do His pleasure. Psalm 103:20-21). Then, they can carry out His pleasure in our life–our prosperity (Psalm 35:27). We can command them to hearken to the voice of God’s Word that we speak. We can commanding them to go to the north, south, east and west to divinely clear the path to our wealthy place. We can rejoice, knowing that our covenant is established with God. Concentrating on circumstances rather than on God’s promises causes many people to struggle. Our situation may seem impossible, but we focus on our covenant instead. Walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7).

We rejoice in the fact that angels are available even when things seem impossible. Example: The prophet Elisha and his servant were surrounded by the enemy’s army but were delivered through the ministry of angels. God’s word is unchanging:

Therefore he sent horses and chariots and a great army there, and they came by night and surrounded the city. And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?” So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” And Elisha prayed, and said, “LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

So when the Syrians came down to him, Elisha prayed to the LORD, and said, “Strike this people, I pray, with blindness.” And He struck them with blindness according to the word of Elisha. 2 Kings 6:14-18

WITH GOD!

WITH GOD THINGS CAN CHANGE EVEN IN A MINUTE

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1

By faith they passed through the Red Sea as by dry land, whereas the Egyptians, attempting to do so, were drowned.   By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they were encircled for seven days.  By faith the harlot Rahab did not perish with those who did not believe, when she had received the spies with peace. And what more shall I say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon and Barak and Samson and Jephthah, also of David and Samuel and the prophets:  who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. Hebrews 11:29-34

Faith in God not only assures us of things we expect and convinces us of the existence of things we cannot see but enables to see and do the impossible! The bible clearly tells us that those who have faith in God will get results that others will not. As a result the Children of Israel by passed through the Red Sea as by dry land, whereas the Egyptians, attempting to do so, were drowned. By faith Joshua, Samson and David subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, became valiant in battle, and turned to flight the armies of the aliens.

The secret to Joshua and King David success and victories was not only their courage but they took their orders from their Commander in Chief –  The Lord.  Joshua as a brilliant general had his own ideas on how to take the mighty walled city of Jericho but the LORD Himself appeared to Him and told him what was to be done. The bible records:

Now Jericho was securely shut up because of the children of Israel; none went out, and none came in. And the LORD said to Joshua: “See! I have given Jericho into your hand, its king, and the mighty men of valor. “You shall march around the city, all you men of war; you shall go all around the city once. This you shall do six days.  “And seven priests shall bear seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the ark. But the seventh day you shall march around the city seven times, and the priests shall blow the trumpets. “It shall come to pass, when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn, and when you hear the sound of the trumpet, that all the people shall shout with a great shout; then the wall of the city will fall down flat. And the people shall go up every man straight before him.” Joshua 1:1-5

Joshua obtained his victory over his enemies not only because he was a man of faith and bold and courageous but he listened to the LORD and the instructions that He gave and obeyed.  The truth that obedience to the voice of the LORD is seen though out the bible; including in the life of David who faced one of the most devastating crisis in his life.

David his men came to Ziklag, to find that the Amalekites had invaded the South and Ziklag, attacked Ziklag and burned it with fire,  and had taken captive the women and those who were there, from small to great; they did not kill anyone, but carried them away and went their way. It was very distressing to find their wives, their sons, and their daughters had been taken captive. So David and the people who were with him lifted up their voices and wept, until they had no more power to weep.
David was also greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because all the people were grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God and inquired of the LORD Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?” And He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.

And because David heard from the LORD He pursued and recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away, and rescued his two wives. And nothing of theirs was lacking, either small or great, sons or daughters, spoil or anything which they had taken from them; David recovered all.

Now the good news is the LORD has not changed one bit, He is with us to save us and to deliver us and to help us recover all that the enemy has stolen from us, be it money, health, or our good name. He is just as much for us as He was for David. His word is unchanging:

The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them.  The LORD preserves all who love Him, But all the wicked He will destroy. Psalm 145:18-20

I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, And in His word I do hope.  My soul waits for the Lord  More than those who watch for the morning- Yes, more than those who watch for the morning. O Israel, hope in the LORD;  For with the LORD there is mercy, And with Him is abundant redemption.  And He shall redeem Israel From all his iniquities. Psalms 130:5-8

Do not say, “I will recompense evil”;  Wait for the LORD, and He will save you. Proverbs 20:22

Now skeptics and scoffers don’t believe that faith in God will open up windows in heaven and as a result they don’t see the impossible. But the bible has many examples of what expectantly waiting on the Lord and hope in His word for His plenteous redemption and deliverance and what it shall accomplish. One of my favorite stories is about when Elisha and the children of Judah were besieged by the enemy and were starving. Ben-Hadad king of Syria had gathered all his army, and went up and besieged Samaria.  As a result there was a great famine in Samaria; and indeed they besieged it until a donkey’s head was sold for eighty shekels of silver, and one-fourth of a kab of dove droppings for five shekels of silver. However Elisha the prophet said:

“Hear the word of the LORD. Thus says the LORD: ‘Tomorrow about this time a seah of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria.’ ” So an officer on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God and said, “Look, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, could this thing be?” And he said, “In fact, you shall see it with your eyes, but you shall not eat of it.” 2 Kings 7:1-2

God does nothing on earth unless He reveals it to His prophets. But God has also stated that those who despise the word of His prophets, He will require of them. So the officer who was the right hand man of the king put his life in jeopardy when he despised Elisha’s prophetic words. (It’s true that some foolish men just do not learn and accept God’s word on some matters and they pay for their deeds even with their lives.)  God’s word goes on to state:

Now there were four leprous men at the entrance of the gate; and they said to one another, “Why are we sitting here until we die? “If we say, ‘We will enter the city,’ the famine is in the city, and we shall die there. And if we sit here, we die also. Now therefore, come, let us surrender to the army of the Syrians. If they keep us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall only die.” And they rose at twilight to go to the camp of the Syrians; and when they had come to the outskirts of the Syrian camp, to their surprise no one was there.
For the LORD had caused the army of the Syrians to hear the noise of chariots and the noise of horses-the noise of a great army; so they said to one another, “Look, the king of Israel has hired against us the kings of the Hittites and the kings of the Egyptians to attack us!” Therefore they arose and fled at twilight, and left the camp intact-their tents, their horses, and their donkeys-and they fled for their lives.
And when these lepers came to the outskirts of the camp, they went into one tent and ate and drank, and carried from it silver and gold and clothing, and went and hid them; then they came back and entered another tent, and carried some from there also, and went and hid it. 2 Kings 7:3-8

The lepers had enough of their circumstance and situation and decided they were going to act and do something even if it would cost them their lives.  (Yes, many times God’s bring His people to a place where they must walk on the water or sink. It is in such times that they find the miracle working power of God to be true and see that the Lord is the Lord and that He does what He has said He would do to bless, protect and preserve His own.  For after all He is the Lord and He loves to bless and prosper His own even miraculously with the spoils of war from their enemies, just like He did for these lepers.)  God’s word records:

Then they said to one another, “We are not doing right. This day is a day of good news, and we remain silent. If we wait until morning light, some punishment will come upon us. Now therefore, come, let us go and tell the king’s household.” So they went and called to the gatekeepers of the city, and told them, saying, “We went to the Syrian camp, and surprisingly no one was there, not a human sound-only horses and donkeys tied, and the tents intact.”

And the gatekeepers called out, and they told it to the king’s household inside. So the king arose in the night and said to his servants, “Let me now tell you what the Syrians have done to us. They know that we are hungry; therefore they have gone out of the camp to hide themselves in the field, saying, ‘When they come out of the city, we shall catch them alive, and get into the city.’ ”
And one of his servants answered and said, “Please, let several men take five of the remaining horses which are left in the city. Look, they may either become like all the multitude of Israel that are left in it; or indeed, I say, they may become like all the multitude of Israel left from those who are consumed; so let us send them and see.” Therefore they took two chariots with horses; and the king sent them in the direction of the Syrian army, saying, “Go and see.”
And they went after them to the Jordan; and indeed all the road was full of garments and weapons which the Syrians had thrown away in their haste. So the messengers returned and told the king. Then the people went out and plundered the tents of the Syrians. So a seah of fine flour was sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, according to the word of the LORD. 2 Samuel 7:9-16

Men are not accustomed to believing God, walking by faith and not by sight and trusting His word and those of His true prophets, even though Elisha had said that God would provide a miraculous deliverance. So they would not believe the words of the Lepers until they could see things for themselves with their natural eyes instead of their spiritual eyes.  But the fact of the matter remains that the officer who scorned Elisha’s words paid with his life for his foolish actions. It doesn’t pay to be arrogant and proud and a respecter of persons for  God’s word records:

Now the king had appointed the officer on whose hand he leaned to have charge of the gate. But the people trampled him in the gate, and he died, just as the man of God had said, who spoke when the king came down to him. So it happened just as the man of God had spoken to the king, saying, “Two seahs of barley for a shekel, and a seah of fine flour for a shekel, shall be sold tomorrow about this time in the gate of Samaria.”
Then that officer had answered the man of God, and said, “Now look, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, could such a thing be?” And he had said, “In fact, you shall see it with your eyes, but you shall not eat of it.” And so it happened to him, for the people trampled him in the gate, and he died.

Men have a lot of foolish ideas which they make as doctrines but God’s word does not lie and God has not changed. We see from the Word of God that God weighed and judged the actions of the lepers and the arrogant officer. The lepers were blessed and the officer was cursed!  So who is to say that God does not do such things today? For after all He is the Lord, the Judge of the whole earth and His eyes are on each and every one to render to each one according to his work. For God’s word is true:

‘Now see that I, even I, am He, And there is no God besides Me;  I kill and I make alive;  I wound and I heal;  Nor is there any who can deliver from My hand.  For I raise My hand to heaven,  And say, “As I live forever, If I whet My glittering sword,  And My hand takes hold on judgment, I will render vengeance to My enemies,  And repay those who hate Me. I will make My arrows drunk with blood, And My sword shall devour flesh,  With the blood of the slain and the captives,  From the heads of the leaders of the enemy.” ‘  “Rejoice, O Gentiles, with His people; For He will avenge the blood of His servants, And render vengeance to His adversaries;  He will provide atonement for His land and His people.”  Deuteronomy 32:39-41

And it will be said in that day: “Behold, this is our God; We have waited for Him, and He will save us.  This is the LORD; We have waited for Him; We will be glad and rejoice in His salvation.”  Isaiah 25:9
For since the beginning of the world Men have not heard nor perceived by the ear, Nor has the eye seen any God besides You,  Who acts for the one who waits for Him. Isaiah 64:4

God Answers Fervent Prayer

Sing praises to the LORD, who dwells in Zion!  Declare His deeds among the people.  When He avenges blood, He remembers them;  He does not forget the cry of the humble. Psalm 9:11-12

Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months.  And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit. James 5:16-19

There is nothing more powerful in the universe than a fervent prayer based on a promise of God of a humble righteous man. It goes straight to heaven to the throne of God and produces great results. It brings changes both in the heavens and on earth that Kings and dictators can never do. We see this in the life of Daniel that when he prayed God would send an angel to bring his answers. The bible records for our profit and instruction:

Then the king arose very early in the morning and went in haste to the den of lions.  And when he came to the den, he cried out with a lamenting voice to Daniel. The king spoke, saying to Daniel, “Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to deliver you from the lions?”  Then Daniel said to the king, “O king, live forever!  “My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouths, so that they have not hurt me, because I was found innocent before Him; and also, O king, I have done no wrong before you.” Then the king was exceedingly glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no injury whatever was found on him, because he believed in his God.   And the king gave the command, and they brought those men who had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions-them, their children, and their wives; and the lions overpowered them, and broke all their bones in pieces before they ever came to the bottom of the den. Daniel 6:19-24

It was Daniel prayers that enabled his enemies to falsely accused him and get him put into a den of lions. But it was Daniel prayers that kept him safe there and cause his enemies to be cast them into the den of lions-them, their children, and their wives; and the lions overpowered them, and broke all their bones in pieces before they ever came to the bottom of the den. Vengeance is mine says the Lord and He warned men not to touch His anointed ones or to harm His prophets.  Yes, Daniel was a man of prayer and he would fight principalities and powers who didn’t want his prayers answered and God would send an angel to tell him that God heard his prayer:

In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a message was revealed to Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar. The message was true, but the appointed time was long; and he understood the message, and had understanding of the vision.  In those days I, Daniel, was mourning three full weeks. I ate no pleasant food, no meat or wine came into my mouth, nor did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.  Now on the twenty-fourth day of the first month, as I was by the side of the great river, that is, the Tigris, I lifted my eyes and looked, and behold, a certain man clothed in linen, whose waist was girded with gold of Uphaz! His body was like beryl, his face like the appearance of lightning, his eyes like torches of fire, his arms and feet like burnished bronze in color, and the sound of his words like the voice of a multitude.  And I, Daniel, alone saw the vision, for the men who were with me did not see the vision; but a great terror fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves. Therefore I was left alone when I saw this great vision, and no strength remained in me; for my vigor was turned to frailty in me, and I retained no strength. Yet I heard the sound of his words; and while I heard the sound of his words I was in a deep sleep on my face, with my face to the ground.   Suddenly, a hand touched me, which made me tremble on my knees and on the palms of my hands.  And he said to me, “O Daniel, man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak to you, and stand upright, for I have now been sent to you.” While he was speaking this word to me, I stood trembling. Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words.  “But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia.  “Now I have come to make you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision refers to many days yet to come.” Daniel 10:1-14

Yes, those who are true men of God and true men of prayer know the powers of darkness that will come against them! But they don’t look to their circumstances, needs, lacks, bodies or things as they appear but unto God who has promised to give every victory and answer every prayer! They look to God who has already given them His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ and His wonderful counselor, the Holy Spirit, and will freely with Christ give them all things (Romans 8:32)! Yet God’s word is unchanging:

Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:11

Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:1-2

While God’s eyes are upon us and so are Satan’s who walks about like a roaring lion seeking those whom he may devour. We are not ignorant of his devices including attacking people in their dreams or in person. But one thing about the devil that is to be noted is that he is on a time clock. Time is on our side. Time is his enemy. Satan can not afford to keep up the attack. Often times, we will actually be set free or receive our break-through and yet not see it in the flesh nor the reality of it. This is especially true with demonization. The enemy will continue on with a very convincing charade of similar activity but the power of it has gone out. The devil or demon is trying desperately for us to give up and return to our previous condition. This is where the faith of the person under attack must be brought up to speed. We are not to listen to the unclean lying spirits. We have been set free. We are to “submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you “ (James 4:7). God’s word is unchanging:

And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease. Matthew 10:1

Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. 2 Corinthians 7:1

Job, a man who was blameless and upright, and one who feared God and shunned evil, suffered through no fault or wrong doing of his own.  He walked blameless before God in purity of heart and in  holiness of deed.  Yet the devil attacked him, causing him to lose his  children and livestock and riches in a moment of time.  His own  health failed him as painful sickness came upon his physical body.  But God  did not abandon him in his despair. In  the end, He restored to Job a family of beautiful children and twice  as many of the material possessions as he previously had because God is a God of restoration. His word is true:

Indeed we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord-that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful. James 5:11

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.  Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the LORD, and I will bring you back from your captivity; I will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you, says the LORD, and I will bring you to the place from which I cause you to be carried away captive. Jeremiah 29:11-14

Our God is able!

 POWER2

Throughout God’s holy Word we see God’s divine ability.  God is able to deliver, to fulfill promises, to make all grace abound, to keep us from falling, to save to the uttermost, and to keep that which we have committed unto Him.  There really is no end to what the Lord can do.  God has all power, and He knows what we have need of.  As we put our complete trust in Him, He will work all things out for our good.  God’s ways and thoughts are higher than ours.

Psalm 28:7 says, “The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped:  therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.”   As we praise the Lord, we will receive strength from Him.  Divine help is available for soul, mind and body so be expecting promises fulfilled for you and yours.

God’s grace is so full and so free.  We did nothing to deserve it; it was  freely given to us through Jesus Christ.  He came, lived, died and was raised to life again to bring divine grace to whosoever will. Because of His grace, sin no longer has dominion over you, and “God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work,” II Corinthians 9:8.

God’s grace is sufficient for all of our needs.  We read in the Word that when Paul was going through trials, the Lord said, “My grace is sufficient for thee.”  God’s grace is sufficient indeed for soul, mind and body. God is love, and no one but He could have devised the plan of redemption and given such grace to mankind.  God gave all of His love when He made Calvary  Love did it, and there is no greater love than His.  Trust Him to take care of your every need.  With God all things are possible.

We have nothing to fear and nothing to worry about if our hope and trust is in the Lord.  Jesus said in John 14:27, “Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”  In this last hour, people are so full of deceit and hate; many think only of themselves.  However, there is One that sticketh closer than a brother, One who does not change, One who has all power–Lord God Almighty.

The Lord is our Rock, our shield, our High Tower, and He is holy.  Yield to the Holy Spirit at all times, and He will direct your steps.   There isn’t anything like walking in the Spirit and receiving the wisdom and guidance that He gives.  The Lord has the power to save, heal and deliver.  He is greater than all the principalities and powers of this Earth.  The Bible says in Isaiah 54:17, “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper.”  God is greater than all your needs today, so put everything in God’s hands and believe to see victory in Jesus’ name
