OUR SUFFICIENCY IS GOD

100_0089

PSALMS 78: 19 Yes, they spoke against God: They said, “Can God prepare a table in the wilderness? 20 Behold, He struck the rock, So that the waters gushed out, And the streams overflowed. Can He give bread also? Can He provide meat for His people?” 21 Therefore the LORD heard this and was furious; So a fire was kindled against Jacob, And anger also came up against Israel, 22 Because they did not believe in God, And did not trust in His salvation. 23 Yet He had commanded the clouds above, And opened the doors of heaven, 24 Had rained down manna on them to eat, And given them of the bread of heaven. 25 Men ate angels’ food; He sent them food to the full. 26 He caused an east wind to blow in the heavens; And by His power He brought in the south wind. 27 He also rained meat on them like the dust, Feathered fowl like the sand of the seas; 28 And He let them fall in the midst of their camp, All around their dwellings. 29  So they ate and were well filled, For He gave them their own desire. 30  They were not deprived of their craving; But while their food was still in their mouths, 31 The wrath of God came against them, And slew the stoutest of them, And struck down the choice men of Israel. 32  In spite of this they still sinned, And did not believe in His wondrous works. 33 Therefore their days He consumed in futility, And their years in fear.

Jeremiah 2:13 ” For My people have committed two evils: They have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, And hewn themselves cisterns — broken cisterns that can hold no water.

2 Corinthians 3: 4 And we have such trust through Christ toward God. 5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God, 6 who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.  Glory of the New Covenant

Even though the LORD our God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments,  (Deuteronomy 7:9), many believers limit God by training their eyes on the limited resources of this world rather than the unlimited riches of God’s kingdom. Their faith fails when they think of the troubled economy on the earth, of the shortages and scarcity that surrounds them. They wonder, “How is God going to bless me in the middle of all this?” But this planet doesn’t have any right to dictate to us whether our needs are met or not. The Bible says God will meet our needs according to His riches in glory! (Philippians 4:19). We can live by heaven’s economy, not earth’s economy–and in heaven there is always more than enough.

We must wake up to the abundance of heaven that’s been made ours through Christ Jesus. Wake up to the fact that we’ve been translated out of a world of poverty into a kingdom of abundance. Heaven’s unlimited resources have been made available to us! Christ is more than enough for any need, problem, sickness or mountain that we meet! God’s word is unchanging:

Psalms 27: 1 The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid? 2 When the wicked came against me To eat up my flesh, My enemies and foes, They stumbled and fell. 3 Though an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear; Though war may rise against me, In this I will be confident. 4 One thing I have desired of the LORD, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the LORD, And to inquire in His temple. 5 For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock. 6 And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me; Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the LORD.

Proverbs 22:4 By humility and the fear of the LORD Are riches and honor and life.

Romans 10:12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him.

Men are full of shortages including money, health, power, wisdom, love and patience. But the good news is that God has no shortages. God is rich in everything that we need. His riches, resources, wealth and power are unlimited and that is amazing considering how big and vast our ever expanding galaxies are! He has promised for those who believe to supply all their needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. God’s word is true:

Revelation 1:6 and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Revelation 5:10 And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth.”

Personal faith in God through Christ Jesus is the key to receiving and having all that God’s wants us to have including His salvation, healing, deliverance, blessings, prosperity, security, and goodness.  We have been made priests and kings unto God and laying hold of the promises of God means adopting an ownership mentality. This is not a mentality that is waiting for God to do something, but is one that knows what already belongs to you. The person with an ownership mentality says, “I OWN healing, deliverance, abundance, and prosperity. These things are mine!” We actually get the promises to manifest in this physical realm by releasing our faith in the grace of God that is available to bring them out of the spiritual realm and into the natural. Ephesians 2:8 says, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.” It is through God’s grace that each of the promises are at your disposal. Grace means God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense!

It’s hard to have faith when you don’t have understanding of the Word of God, which is why it is important to attend a church that is actually teaching you how to live by faith. Traditional, religious mind-sets convince you that you have to try to get God to do something, but the truth is, He has already done it. Instead of praying to God to heal you, declare and admit that healing exists inside of you right now. Healing isn’t being made in some healing factory; it is already in existence! Declare that you have faith in the grace of God versus faith in your own ability to get God to move.

No matter what you are going through, or what your five physical senses are telling you, don’t allow your life to be led by your sensory mechanisms. Facts can change on a daily basis, but the truth of God’s Word never changes. It has the power to change and rearrange the facts. All God is looking for is someone who will believe and receive what He has already done.

For true Christians, the moment you prayed, God heard you and the tide of the battle began to turn. With God on your side, you cannot possibly lose. He can make a way when it looks as though there is no way. God has unlimited supplies. The only thing that limits Him is our ability to receive.  When you make God bigger, your problems become smaller.  What the enemy stole from you, God knows how to pay you back with great abundance.

As a child of God, you can rest in his promises to bless you and your family because He is a covenant-keeping God (psalm 89:34-35).

Beloved, our God is a BIG God of abundance and inexhaustible supply. He is the Possessor of heaven and earth. He is El Shaddai—the Almighty, all-sufficient and all-nourishing one! And in Christ, the abundance of God’s wisdom, favor, ability, strength and creativity that you need for a successful family, career and ministry, are yours to experience and enjoy. What is your lack today? Do you need a job? Do you need more time? Or do you just feel overwhelmed by the demands of family and work? Instead of seeing the lack, start seeing a BIG God providing for you out of His abundance, a job you’ll love, wisdom to manage your time or His shalom-peace at work and at home. Come boldly to Him today for all your needs and see His supply swallow up every lack that you have! Amen! His word is true: “For the LORD your God is bringing you into a good land — a land with streams and pools of water, with springs flowing in the valleys and hills” – (Deuteronomy 8:7, NIV)

Are you facing an area of lack in your life? Lack in your finances, lack in your relationships, lack in your physical health? The good news is that’s not the place God wants you to stay. He wants to bring you into a new land with no lack, no shortage, no defeat and no mediocrity. He wants you to live in a place where you will have more than enough so you can be a blessing to others. He wants to lift you up and keep you up. He wants you to remain stable and strong in Him.

The key is that in order to get God’s results, we have to do things God’s way. His love is unconditional, His access is unlimited, but our obedience is what opens the door to His blessings. We have to do our part and humble ourselves before Him and keep pressing forward with an attitude of faith and expectancy.

Remember, promotion doesn’t come from people, it comes from the Lord. When we follow Him, He leads us into the land of blessing, the land of more than enough, the land of opportunity. Today, put Him first, follow His commands and let Him lead you into the good land! His word is true: “Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ…” – (2 Corinthians 2:14, NKJV)

There are times in life when we all face situations that seem impossible. It’s easy to get discouraged and think that things won’t ever work out. But the Scripture tells us that God goes before us and makes our crooked places straight. In other words, even though you may not have the connections you need right now, you don’t have to worry. God is going before you lining up the right people, arranging the right breaks, and setting up the right opportunities. He is preparing the way for victory!

Today, if you are facing difficulty, don’t fall into the temptation to get negative and sour. That adversity is no a surprise to God. He’s not up in the heavens scratching His head and thinking, “Oh, no. Now what am I going to do?” No, He already has every day of your life written in His book. Before you had that problem, God already had the solution. He is going before you right now preparing the next chapter of your life. Stay in faith and keep the right attitude because He is moving you forward into the victory He has prepared for you!

God is absolutely unlimited in His ability and His resources. And He is unlimited in His desire to pour out those resources upon us. His word is unchanging: “And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth…” – (Deuteronomy 8:18, NKJ)

God wants to do something great in and through you! He has promises and blessings in store for you that you haven’t even thought of yet. The Scripture tells us that He gives us power to gain wealth. Wealth is simply having abundance. God wants you to live in abundance so that He can use you to be a blessing to others. When we are willing and obedient, we open the door to His promises. In other words, when we live in excellence and integrity, when we follow the Word of God, we will walk in His blessing. Like a tree planted by the water, your leaf will not wither because you are connected to an unlimited supply line.

Notice one more thing about this verse: it says that “He gives us the power to get wealth.” See, God gives us the ability. He gives us creative ideas and inventions, but we have to be diligent and do our part and step out and use what He’s given us. We have to sow seed in order to see the harvest that He has promised. Receive His power today and choose a life of integrity so that you can move forward into the abundant life He has prepared for you.

However  financial success alone doesn’t equate to good success. One might have earned more money than he ever needs, but at the expense of his relationship with his spouse, and not being able to see his children grow up. Today, Jesus wants to give you good success where you not only have more than enough, but you’re also a blessing to those around you. Look to the blessing of Jesus that makes you rich and adds no sorrow! His word is unchanging:

The LORD has appeared of old to me, saying:  “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you. Jeremiah 31:3

God who is love expresses Himself in many ways. There are twelve Hebrew names of God found in the Old Covenant.

Elohim –”God our Creator.” Elohim is the name that introduces God in Genesis 1:1. The word can be divided into two parts. The first part, El, means God and is connected to His might, power, majesty, glory, and authority. Ohim speaks of plurality, so we can clearly see in this first scripture God is introduced as the mighty Trinity. The name Elohim is always connected to God’s acts. The angels know Him by this name .

Jehovah -“Our Eternal God.”  Jehovah is the name of relationship and covenant. God introduced Himself to Adam as “Lord God” in Genesis 2. “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground.” (Genesis 2:7) Jehovah is connected to the creation of man, to the making of a covenant, and to the atonement. It is Jehovah who reveals Elohim. God is always worshipped as Jehovah – and one cannot worship Him without a relationship through the covenant.

Jehovah El Shaddai – “God our Supplier.”  The name El Shaddai means the God of might, nourishment, bounty, and blessings. God revealed Himself to Abraham as El Shaddai when He promised him a son. Abraham was ninety-nine years old when El Shaddai “The Almighty God” made a covenant with him to “multiply you exceedingly.” (Genesis 17:1-2)

Adonai – “Master, Lord.”  Adonai was spoken by Abraham in Genesis 18:3 when God came and told Abraham what He was about to do to Sodom and Gomorrah, and Abraham became the great intercessor. This shows us that the name Adonai is connected to God’s ownership and Lordship over our lives, and to revelation of the future and intercession.

Jehovah-Jireh – “God my Provider.”  This name was revealed in Genesis 22:14 when Abraham was about to offer up Isaac and the Lord stopped him and provided a lamb…the substitute for Isaac. This powerful story reveals Jesus and the work of the cross. The name Jehovah-Jireh speaks of the Lord God providing His Son for our redemption and being our provider for all that we need.

Jehovah-Rapha – “God my Healer.” Exodus 15:22-26, when the children of Israel came to Marah in the wilderness and could not drink the water because it was bitter, discloses the name Jehovah-Rapha. The Lord made a covenant of healing with His people and said that if they would keep all His commandments, He would be their health and healer continually. “… for I am the Lord that heals you.” (Exodus 15:26)

Jehovah-Nissi – “God my Banner.” This name was made known when Moses lifted up the rod of victory, in prayer, for an entire day as a battle with the Amalekites was fought (Exodus 17:15). The Hebrew word “Nissi” means my banner, or my covering, my protection and, also, my victory.

Jehovah-M’kadesh – “God my Sanctifier.”  The Lord declared He would be the sanctifier of Israel, if they would obey Him (Exodus 31:13). The word M’kadesh, our sanctifier, was also connected to being set apart for service and belonging wholly to the Lord.

Jehovah-Shalom – “God my Peace.” This name was revealed to Gideon, in Judges 6:23-24, when the Lord made him into a great warrior by showing him that only through dependence upon the Lord and reliance upon His name can we know His peace which will bring about triumph over all our enemies.

Jehovah-Tsidkenu – “God my Righteousness.” God told the prophet Jeremiah to declare that a “righteous Branch” of David would come, and “Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, The Lord our Righteousness.” (Jeremiah 23:6) In this revelation we are told that Jesus is our righteousness and that only through Him can we live righteously before the Lord.

Jehovah-Rohi – “God my Shepherd.”  In Psalms 23, God is revealed as our Rohi – our Shepherd. This was spoken as David declared, “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.” (Psalm 23:1) The name Rohi speaks of both leadership and close intimacy. Once we know the Lord as our Shepherd, our Jehovah-Rohi, all the promises of Psalms 23 will become reality in our daily walk.

Jehovah-Shammah – “The Abiding Presence.” The book of Ezekiel concludes with these words: “… and the name of the city for that day shall be, The Lord is there.” (Ezekiel 48:35) The Hebrew translation is Jehovah-Shammah – speaking of God’s abiding presence. The Lord desires that we walk with Him daily. The word abide means to stay, not to visit.  What a wonderful Lord we serve.

IS IT NECESSARY FOR CHRISTIANS TO SPEAK IN TONGUES? http://wp.me/p2M7AJ-dT

DEVIL AND DEMONS

AADon’t make the mistake of forgetting that the devil and demons  cannot speak in “counterfeit tongues”.  The proof is in the “interpretation of those tongues” (1 Cor. 12: 10).  And, if the so-called interpretation is giving somebody permission to sin or be immoral and not live by “the law of Christ” (Gal. 6: 2)then the would-be tongues messages are not from Jesus Christ and are not from the Holy Spirit but from the devil or demons.  Any so-called tongues message that runs contrary to Scripture is not from Jesus Christ or the Holy Spirit.  And, by the way, we have to remember that  just as Jesus speaks in all languages and the word “tongues” is the old English word for languages and not some special unknown language, so does the devil and demons speak in all different languages.

So, whenever some fool like Megan Fox says that she prays in tongues, it means that she is saying what the devil/demons are putting in  her mouth.  Without the proper “interpretation or translation of tongues”  to prove that what the person is saying is from the authentic Holy Spirit and not according to the Scriptures, then she is not an authentic Christian believer.  The best I can say of her is that she is a hypocrite of the worst kind. Also,

Paul gives us strict instructions that tongues is for use in the fellowship of the church and under control where it is used to minister to unbelievers when interpreted only by somebody who has the Gift of Interpretation or who actually speaks the language.  James told us, “For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so faith apart from works is dead” (Jas, 2: 26).  Jesus told us that we would do the works that He did and we would do greater works than He did (Jn. 14: 12).  This means the “signs following” (Mk. 16: 17 – 20) which follow the preaching of the word.  No preaching of the gospel replaced by immoral behaviour is not from the Holy Spirit.  These fools forget, if they even knew it, but tongues are real languages spoken in the world today or in the past and any person who knows those languages as well as those of us who have the Gift of Interpretation of languages (tongues) can immediately expose their so-called attempts to convince people that they are under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. They are under the control of the “prince of the power of the air” (Eph. 2: 2).

If there are no Biblical signs, wonders & miracles with the result of salvation, Baptism of the Holy Spirit, healings, deliverance and changes in people’s behaviour as demonstrated by the Fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5: 22: 23) and people are still living according to the Works of the Flesh (Gal. 5: 19 – 21), like Megan Fox, then they do not have the Holy Spirit nor do they have Spirit-given languages-tongues.  Every time they open their mouths they prove that their god is the devil and they worship demons.

Some years ago, while doing ministry in Kingsville, ON, a woman approached me after an evening service in the Pentecostal Church.  She did not believe that tongues-languages were from the Holy Spirit and wanted to prove that I was wrong.  She didn’t tell me this when she approached me.  She said, “You said in your message that you had the Gift of Interpretation of tongues.” I said, “Yes, I do.”  Said, “Well, can you tell me what I am saying?”  I assumed she had received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.  So, I explained, “It doesn’t quit work that way. I have to ask the Holy Spirit to give me the interpretation.”  So, I asked the Holy Spirit to please give  me the interpretation of the young woman’s message.  She spoke out what she had to say.  The Holy Spirit gave me the interpretation of her tongues-language I thought.  She had a surprised look on her face.  She said, “You speak Russian, don’t you.”  I said, “No, I do not speak Russian.”  She said, “I tried to fool you by speaking in Russian and you gave me a perfect translation of what I was saying.  How can you do that?”  I explained, “I told you that it is a ‘Gift of the Holy Spirit Who tells me what is being said’”.    She was stunned at what happened.  The next evening she came back to the next service and when I gave the invitation for prayer she came forward and received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in another language.”

Our protection from spiritual frauds is always the 15 Gifts of the Holy Spirit (Rom. 12: 6 – 8; 1 Cor. 12: 8 – 10) the “Signs Following” (Mk. 16: 17 – 20) and doing the works of Jesus (Jn. 14: 12).  If the works of Jesus are not demonstrated, then it is what Paul calls, when he wrote to the Corinthian Church “and my speak and preaching were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the Spirit of God” (1 Cor. 2: 4 – 5).  The love of God is a demonstration of “agape love” it is not a fleshly demonstration of “erotic sexual love” in strip clubs or in breach of God’s Commandments.   Watch out for the counterfeits which are deceptions and lies and by which many are led astray.  As a friend of mine once said, “If it doesn’t walk like a duck, talk like a duck and do duck things, then it’s not a duck.”  The same thing is true with counterfeit “Christians”, “If she doesn’t walk like a Christian, talk like a Christian and do Christian things, then she’s not a Christian.”

Yours in Jesus Christ, Gordon

Sex Symbols Who Speak in Tongues?        11:00AM EST 2/4/2013     Michael Brown

Megan Fox says she prays in tongues. Should we judge that utterance? (Facebook)

I was at the grocery store the other day when I was unexpectedly confronted with an adult-oriented magazine located right next to the vitamin section. I immediately had to look away from the front cover, which featured a scantily-clad, seductively-posed, sex symbol. Yet it was only a few weeks ago that I read an article about how this same sex symbol loves to speak in tongues and has to restrain herself from outbursts in tongues while attending church services. What?

This is actually a perfect illustration of American charismatic Christianity, where you can say you love Jesus (like the rapper “The Game” claims to do) and still frequent strip clubs (as “The Game” still does), or where you can flow in the gifts of the Spirit and become a made-for-TV preaching sensation, only to announce that God told you that you married the wrong woman, leading to a quick divorce and remarriage.

Yes, this is the “gospel” of the 21st century, “Spirit-filled” church of America, where the cross is bypassed, denial of the flesh is scorned, purity is called legalism, and anything goes if it feels good.
It is the “gospel” of self, in which Jesus dies to make you into a bigger and better you, a “gospel” in which God is here to serve you and help you fulfill your dreams, and where the measure of all things is not how God feels about it but how you feel about it (or how it makes you feel).

Back in the late 1950s (as I recounted in my 1990 book How Saved Are We?) there was a notorious gangster named Mickey Cohen. He attended a Billy Graham meeting in Beverly Hills, and although he expressed some interest in the message, as revival historian J. Edwin Orr explained, Cohen “made no commitment until some time later when another friend urged him, using Revelation 3:20 as a warrant, to invite Jesus Christ into his life. This he professed to do, but his life subsequently revealed no evidence of repentance, ‘that mighty change of mind, heart and life’ [as defined by Richard Trench]. He rebuked [his] friend, telling him: ‘You did not tell me that I would have to give up my work,’ meaning his rackets; ‘You did not tell me that I would have to give up my friends,’ meaning his gangster associates. He had heard that so-and-so was a Christian football player, so-and-so a Christian cowboy, so-and-so a Christian actress, so-and-so a Christian senator, and he really thought that he could be a Christian gangster.”

Today, in some charismatic circles, you can be a Christian gangster–or, at least, a tongue-talking, seductive starlet, or a Christian lingerie model, or a strip-club-attending, Jesus-speaking rapper, just to mention a few. After all, as we are reminded day and night, “Who are you to judge?”

Actually, what Jesus taught was that we should not judge hypocritically or superficially or unjustly and that we should not condemn. But Jesus also said, “Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment” (John 7:24). The Lord commands us to judge, as long as we do it rightly.

Paul taught the very same thing, writing to the Corinthians, “not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler—not even to eat with such a one. For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge?” (1 Cor. 5:11-12)
Why is it that everyone seems to know the words, “Judge not” (Matt. 7:1), but very few seem to know—or care about—the divine call to judge those “inside the church” (meaning those who profess to be followers of Jesus)?

Without a doubt, only the Lord knows who is saved and who is not. But the Word make things very simple for us, outlining God’s part and our part: “But God’s firm foundation stands, bearing this seal: ‘The Lord knows those who are his,’ and, ‘Let everyone who names the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.’” (2 Tim. 2:19) There you have it! To quote the words of John, “No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s seed abides in him, and he cannot keep on sinning because he has been born of God” (1 John 3:9). Could God make himself any more clear?

Unfortunately, as Orr noted years ago, “Many have sadly forgotten that the only evidence of the new birth is the new life,” and the Scriptures make perfectly clear that if we profess to follow Jesus with our lips but do not follow Him with our lives, we do not belong to Him. (I’m not talking about momentary lapses in our walks with the Lord or about serious mistakes that we make, only to reject and renounce them. God’s mercy and forgiveness are great. I’m talking about the consistent, willful pattern of our lives. Are we following Jesus or not?)

It’s time to say to say goodbye to this watered-down, sin-excusing, so-called gospel that offers everything and calls for nothing. It’s time to get back to the cross and back to the truth. Otherwise, as America collapses in a heap of amoral ruin, the soft preachers of America will be largely to blame.

Gifts and Fruit of The Spirit

AB

I wish you all spoke with tongues, but even more that you prophesied; for he who prophesies is greater than he who speaks with tongues, unless indeed he interprets, that the church may receive edification. 1 Corinthians 14:5

I thank my God I speak with tongues more than you all; 1 Corinthians 14:18

Amongst fundamentalist Christians there is a great sacred debate about how the bible is the inspired word of God. God so guided the authors of Scripture as to enable them to write exactly the words which convey His truth to men, and in doing so preserved their judgements from error in the original manuscripts. The Word of God as given to us in the Bible is a product of two free agents, human and divine. Through (fallible) human authors, God manifested the infallible and errorless writings, which convey His messages. And then these fools reject the gifts of the Spirit including tongues that the inspired word of God says is necessary to the Christian life! Now that doesn’t make sense at all! Yet God’s word is unchanging:

And it happened, while Apollos was at Corinth, that Paul, having passed through the upper regions, came to Ephesus. And finding some disciples  he said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” So they said to him, “We have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit.”  And he said to them, “Into what then were you baptized?” So they said, “Into John’s baptism.”  Then Paul said, “John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.”  When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.  And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied. Acts 19:1-6

Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.  For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries.  But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men.  He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church.  I wish you all spoke with tongues, but even more that you prophesied; for he who prophesies is greater than he who speaks with tongues, unless indeed he interprets, that the church may receive edification. 1 Corinthians 14:1-5

Many people have not learnt yet that soulish prayers are useless but prayers prayed in the Spirit are always answered by God because they orginate with God.  God the Father knew we would not know how to pray as we ought, that is why he filled us with the Holy Ghost and gave us a prayer language, (Rom. 8:26,27). Some of our prayers are not answered because we ask improperly, but when we pray in tongues we know that we  are praying according to the will of God. God’s word is unchanging:
Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.  For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:6-7

Even so you, since you are zealous for spiritual gifts, let it be for the edification of the church that you seek to excel.  Therefore let him who speaks in a tongue pray that he may interpret. For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful.  What is the conclusion then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding. 1 corinthians 14:12-15

But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit,  to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit,  to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. 1 Corinthians 12:7-10

God has called His people to walk in love and understanding. He wants them to be  unified and in agreement because that is when they are most effective for the kingdom. But the enemy stirs up strife and confusion through foolish words from an uncontrolled tongue. God’s word is unchanging:
An ungodly man digs up evil,  And it is on his lips like a burning fire.  A perverse man sows strife,  And a whisperer separates the best of friends.  Proverbs 16:27-28

Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so.  Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening? Can a fig tree, my brethren, bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh.   Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic.  For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.  But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.  Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. James 3:10-18

Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.  1 Peter 3:7

Yes divisions including between a man and wife hinder our prayers when we don’t walk in love and understanding. Our prayers are answered when we walk in the power of agreement and unity.   We are called  to walk worthy of our calling with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. We are called to balance the gift of the Spirit with the fruit of the Spirit in our lives. God’s word is unchanging:
Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,  idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,  gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.  And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another. Galatians 5:19-26

Yes, the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,  idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,  gentleness, self-control,  And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, we must also walk in the Spirit, not in the flesh!

God has never planned nor intended that the gifts and fruit of the Spirit lay dormant in the lives of His people. When He gave them His only begotten Son, Jesus, and His wonderful counselor the Holy Spirit, He had planned that they would walk in love and adorn their lives with the single fruit of the Spirit including love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. He had willed that they should be ‘filled with the fruits of righteousness’ (Philippians 1:11). They should be ‘neither barren nor unfruitful’ (2 Peter 1:8). “For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth.” (Ephesians 5:9)

God has given His people the fruits of the Spirit only with a view to fill us with the qualities of goodness, righteousness and truth. The gifts of the Spirit and the fruits are to go hand in hand together with love being the unifying force because God’s word is unchanging:

“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.” 1 John 4:18

“Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love.” Ephesians 1:4
“Let love be without hypocrisy.” Romans 12:9

“Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith.”1 Timothy 1:5

Yes, the fruits of the Spirit come from love born out of a pure heart, a good conscience and a sincere faith. That is why God works on us to develop in us a pure heart, a good conscience and a sincere faith so that the great fountain of Love will spring in us, only if Love is genuinely born in our hearts, the fruits of the Spirit will emerge in us. A man with mere ‘Gifts’ is not an effective man. Only with two wings can a bird fly; the loss of even a single wing will hamper its flight.[i]

We are not perfect if Gifts and Fruits don’t work together in unison in our Spiritual life. We need to allow ‘love’ to flow from our minds by the power and anointing of the Spirit. We need to continually walk and live in the Spirit and not in the flesh.  Yes we need for God to fill us with His Spiritual ‘Gifts’ and decorate us with the ‘Fruits’ so we can minister by the Spirit to a lost, hurt, and dying humanity that is need of the demonstration of God’s power. God’s word is unchanging:

Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ to them.  And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed; and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed.  And there was great joy in that city. Acts 8:5-8

And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God.  For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.  I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling.  And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,  that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. 1 Corinthians 2:1-5

Yes, our Lord Jesus Christ has authority over all the evils. Many times, the devil brings sicknesses to us. He enters into our body and dwells in us. Lord Jesus Christ came into this sinful world to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8). He destroyed the devil on the Cross of Calvary and overcame him. According to Philippians 2:10, “At the name of Jesus every knee shall bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth.” God wants the might, which was in Jesus, to be in us too! When Jesus sojourned on this earth, He gave His authority to His twelve disciples and asked them to go and heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead and cast out demons (Matthew 10:8; Luke 9:2). As He said, they received His authority and performed miracles.

Yes, the power of God operating through a yielded vessel walking love can do in a split second that years of perspiration cannot do including healing a broken heart, removing cancer from a sick body,  giving sight to the blind, and setting free the oppressed and possessed. Yes, Our heavenly Father gives His Holy Spirit to those who ask Him (Luke 11:13). We need to pray earnestly that the Lord should grant us a mighty anointing of His Holy Spirit and help us to shine as a witness for Christ in the days to come.(Acts 1:8 & 2:17).

We can also receive God’s Spirit and do His ministry with signs and wonders.  We can come to the creator of Heaven and Earth, our Almighty God and surrender ourselves completely. We can ask Him to heal all our physical, emotional and spiritual ailments. Relieve us from all the bondages of the flesh. Fill us with His Holy Spirit in Jesus name and grant us His strength and might so that we can be a channel of blessing to others. And meet and supply all our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Our God is an embodiment of great love and compassion. When we fear and obey Him, He will grant us rich blessings. He knows our heart’s desires and yearnings. He will fulfill all our desires. We can pour out all our cares and worries at the feet of Lord Jesus. He loves and cares for us. He intercedes for us to the Heavenly Father and meets all our needs. God will always remember us and save us from destruction.

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. “And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. John 14:12-13

My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him.  He only is my rock and my salvation;  He is my defense;  I shall not be moved.  In God is my salvation and my glory;  The rock of my strength,  And my refuge, is in God. Trust in Him at all times, you people;  Pour out your heart before Him;  God is a refuge for us. Selah Psalm 62:5-8

[i] Fruits Of The Spirit – Dr. D.G.S. Dhinakaran

RESTORATION

Perseverance And Prosperity From The God of Restoration

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance;  and perseverance, character; and character, hope.  Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Romans 5:1-5

The word of God teaches us that in order to have true prosperity we must have perseverance. You could not have one without the other.  As a matter of fact Jesus taught in the parable of the sower that perseverance and prosperity were related. The bible records for our instruction:

“Therefore hear the parable of the sower: “When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside.
“But he who received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy;  “yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles.
“Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.
“But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.” Matthew 13:18-23

The heart of man is like the soil of the earth. Each soil is different and has different characteristics. Poor soil allows the devil to come and steal the word of God that is sown in the heart. Stony soil doesn’t have a heart that is persevering when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word.  Soil with thorns allows the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches to choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.  But good soil with patience bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

Faith, virtue, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, and brotherly love are also interrelated and are part of prosperity. For God’s word is unchanging:

Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord,  as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,  by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge,  to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness,  to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Peter  1:1-8

While men look at riches, wealth and power as signs of prosperity, God considers faith, virtue, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, and brotherly love as the true elements of prosperity. For God’s word is unchanging:

A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, Loving favor rather than silver and gold. Proverbs 22:1

“I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ” Acts 20:35

We give no offense in anything, that our ministry may not be blamed. But in all things we commend ourselves as ministers of God: in much patience, in tribulations, in needs, in distresses,  in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in sleeplessness, in fastings;  by purity, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Spirit, by sincere love, by the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,  by honor and dishonor, by evil report and good report; as deceivers, and yet true; as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold we live; as chastened, and yet not killed;  as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things. 2 Corinthians 6:3-10

In the kingdom of God things are not like they are in the kingdom of men.  It’s the givers who are truly blessed, it’s the humble who are great, a good name is to be chosen rather than great riches and God’s loving favor is to be sought above silver and gold. For God’s word is unchanging:

And King Ahasuerus imposed tribute on the land and on the islands of the sea.  Now all the acts of his power and his might, and the account of the greatness of Mordecai, to which the king advanced him, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Media and Persia?  For Mordecai the Jew was second to King Ahasuerus, and was great among the Jews and well received by the multitude of his brethren, seeking the good of his people and speaking peace to all his countrymen. Esther 10:1-3

“Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business;  “but we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”
And the saying pleased the whole multitude. And they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit, and Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas, a proselyte from Antioch, whom they set before the apostles; and when they had prayed, they laid hands on them.
Then the word of God spread, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were obedient to the faith. And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and signs among the people. Acts 6:3-8

“The word which God sent to the children of Israel, preaching peace through Jesus Christ-He is Lord of all-  “that word you know, which was proclaimed throughout all Judea, and began from Galilee after the baptism which John preached:  “how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. Acts 10:36-38

The greatness and prosperity of a man is not measured by what a man possesses but by being like Jesus whom God anointed with the Holy Spirit and with power, and who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. It is measured by being like Stephen, a man full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom and faith, who did great wonders and signs among the people. It is measured by like Philip the Apostle about whom the word of God states:

Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ to them. And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.  For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed; and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed. And there was great joy in that city. Acts 8:5-8

Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” And as He walked by the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. Then Jesus said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men.”  They immediately left their nets and followed Him. Mark 1:14-18

There is no sickness, disease, poverty, lack, defeat, failure or unmet need in the kingdom of God. For those who live and walk in the kingdom of God demons and circumstances don’t determine their success and prosperity and well being but God Himself through the presence of the Holy Spirit, which brings both the manifestation of the kingdom of God and the nature of the God who is a good God, a creative God, a miracle working God and a God of restoration. When God’s comes on the scene through the  presence and personality of who the Holy Spirit is miracles come forth, miracles are manifested and God’s creative power is unleashed to change things in and around the live of the believer.

Most Christians are waiting for the kingdom of heaven to happen when they die—“absent from the body and present with the Lord” (2 Cor. 5:8). But Jesus said, “… the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” And from the beginning of the time that Jesus first began to walk on this earth in His earthly ministry and He released the dynamic and the presence of the Holy Spirit, He ushered in the kingdom of heaven. AND IT’S STILL HERE! We don’t have to wait until we die or for another time to experience the kingdom of heaven! We can come into the realm of the kingdom of heaven now by experiencing what Jesus meant when He said: “Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven” (Matt. 6:10). The kingdom of heaven is the manifestation of the kingdom of God on the earth, as it is in heaven. The reality is this: as it is in heaven means that there is no sorrow, or pain, or sickness because such conditions do not exist in heaven. So we can pray that as it is in heaven so let it be done in the earth.  We can bring ‘as it is in heaven’ to the earth not only in the area of miracles, glory and angelic activity but into our hearts and lives. As a result we will have no more sorrow, no more pain, no more sickness, into the earth and know and experience the comfort of God in all our tribulation. God’s word is unchanging:

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.  For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ. 2 Corinthians 1:3-5

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.  We are hard pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed- always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. So then death is working in us, but life in you. And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak, knowing that He who raised up the Lord Jesus will also raise us up with Jesus, and will present us with you. For all things are for your sakes, that grace, having spread through the many, may cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.
Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,  while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:7-18

Yes, we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power that is  God and not of us. We look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal! We need to focus on what’s eternal because what’s eternal is going to last forever and it’s in the Spirit realm. We bring heaven on earth into our lives. The eternal is the unseen substance of what’s in heaven. In fact, the eternal overrules the material or physical realm, the physical symptoms of the sickness that are in our body, and the physical circumstances of our life. And we do this by saying  “Come Holy Spirit; so as it is in heaven, it will begin to be on earth.”

As we invite the kingdom of God and as we say, “Holy Spirit come,” He brings the realm of God, He brings the activity of God. When the Holy Spirit shows up, a superior order shows up, and it breaks the law of science, it breaks every doctor’s report and what every person has said about you concerning what you can and cannot do. It breaks the law of physics and the realm of the impossible. It begins to open up the impossible! It begins to open up the eternal! It begins to open up the supernatural! People get healed! Sickness, diseases, poverty and lack leave our bodies and leave our lives to the dismay of the unbelievers as  God’s kingdom is manifested in our lives. As it is in Heaven so is not now on earth in our hearts and lives.

Through being born from above means  that we not only  experience life on the earth with our natural senses but we  experience the heavenly realm with our spiritual senses. We can now live in that heavenly realm and to walk in the spirit is to live and believe as it is in heaven so it is to be done on earth (Matt. 6:10). Just like Jesus demonstrated and  manifested the kingdom of God bringing the creative power out of the heavens to override the natural and the impossible in the earth and to release the supernatural of God we can do the same. We can walk in a great  measure of miracles, signs and wonders like Jesus did for we now live by another set of rules. We live by a superior order. We are in the realm of God where miracles are the natural order of things through  the power and anointing of the Holy Ghost. God’s word is unchanging:

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. “And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  “If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. John 14:12-14

But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.  Therefore, brethren, we are debtors-not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. Romans 8:11-14

And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. 1 Corinthians 2:4-5

For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power. 1 Corinthians 4:20

The LORD is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation. The voice of rejoicing and salvation Is in the tents of the righteous;  The right hand of the LORD does valiantly.  The right hand of the LORD is exalted;  The right hand of the LORD does valiantly. Psalm 118:14-16

When the LORD brought back the captivity of Zion, We were like those who dream. Then our mouth was filled with laughter, And our tongue with singing.  Then they said among the nations, “The LORD has done great things for them.” The LORD has done great things for us, And we are glad. Bring back our captivity, O LORD, As the streams in the South.  Those who sow in tears Shall reap in joy.  He who continually goes forth weeping, Bearing seed for sowing, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, Bringing his sheaves with him. Psalm 126:1-6

WHAT IS THAT TO YOU?

What is that to you? You follow Me. —John 21:22

When you attend a children’s choir concert, you’re not surprised when the children look everywhere but at the director. They wiggle, squirm, and poke each other. They stand on tiptoes to search for parents in the audience. They raise their hands to wave when they see them. Oh, yes, and they occasionally sing. We smile at their antics. The behavior is cute in children. It’s not so cute when adult choir members don’t watch the conductor. Good music depends on singers who pay attention to the director so they can stay together as they sing.

Christians sometimes are like singers in a children’s choir. Instead of looking at Jesus, the great Conductor of the symphony of life, we are busy squirming or looking at each other or watching the audience.

Jesus admonished Peter for such behavior. After He told him what would be required of him, Peter pointed to John and asked, “What about him?” Jesus answered with a question: “What is that to you? You follow Me” (John 21:22).

Sometimes we are distracted by what others are doing. We think God’s plan for their life is better than His plan for ours. But God’s plan for each of us is the same: Follow Jesus. When we watch Him intently, we’ll not be distracted by God’s plan for anyone else.

My times are in my Father’s hand;
How could I wish or ask for more?
For He who has my pathway planned,
Will guide me till my journey’s o’er.

Every child of God has a special place in His plan.

NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE :

Luke 1:37, “For with God nothing shall be impossible.”

What a statement! If we just believed this, how different our lives would be!

From birth we are trained to know our limitations. You can’t have this. Don’t touch that. Don’t put things in your mouth. You can’t touch the fire. On and on the list goes.

As we grow up, it’s actually a sign of maturity to recognize our limitations and learn to live within them. There are limits to everything. It’s a fact of life.

But God has no limits. When we enter into the realm of the supernatural, we have to take off all the limits. We have to renew our minds with the truth that God is not like us. He can do anything.

We have an awesome God whose power is so great that we can’t even comprehend it. He created the universe and it didn’t even tax His ability. Yet many times we find ourselves wondering if our situation is too hard for the Lord. We can’t see how even God can pull us through.

The Lord said to Jeremiah, “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?” (Jer. 32:27) The answer is a resounding NO! The only thing that limits God is our unbelief (Dt. 7:17). Today, let’s honor God by believing that nothing is too difficult for Him.

THE GOSPEL SAVES IN EVERY SITUATION :

Romans 1:16 – For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes…

Each time you hear the gospel of Christ, you are hearing God’s good news for you. And the Bible tells us that the gospel of Christ — the good news that God wants all men to hear — is the very power of God for your salvation, not just from hell, but also from illnesses, financial lack, harm, a failing marriage — every aspect of your life that needs saving!

You may say, “Pastor, I’ve heard the gospel of Christ, but it seems like I am one of those whom the power of God has missed.” My friend, when you hear the gospel of Christ, do you really believe it? You cannot just understand it in your mind. You must know and believe the good news in your heart, and then you will see that it is the power of God for your salvation.

But what is the good news that God wants you to know in your heart, which will release the power and salvation of God into your situation?

“For in it [the good news] the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith…” (Romans 1:17) The good news is that you are the righteousness of God in Christ, which you receive from faith to faith.

This means that this righteousness comes because you have faith in His blood, not your good behavior, to make you righteous. It is from faith to faith, not faith to works, or works to works.

The good news is not preached to show you what is wrong with you. It is preached to show you what is right with you because of Jesus’ work at Calvary, in spite of what is wrong with you!

There is nothing left for you to do to earn God’s blessings for your life. You only need to hear and believe the all-encompassing saving power of the gospel of Christ to heal you of diseases, preserve you from danger, bless your finances and bring well-being to your family.

The world may say that the good news is too good to be true. But for those of us who are the righteousness of God in Christ, the good news is so good because it is indeed true!

Your Dream is Not Dead

Your dream is not dead. It is only sleeping.

Lazarus, a friend of Jesus who lived in Bethany, was terribly ill. (John 11.) When Jesus heard that Lazarus was sick, He said, “This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God” (v. 4). Jesus didn’t panic. He didn’t get into fear, and of course, He didn’t worry. But He said, “Lazarus is asleep, but I will go and wake him up.” (v. 11.)

Even though Jesus knew that Lazarus had died physically, His mind-set was that Lazarus was asleep. But to everyone else, it appeared that Lazarus was dead in the grave and would never live on this earth as a man again. Of course, his sister, Martha, believed that he would be resurrected in the distant future in the resurrection at the last day, but she had no faith that he would live again as her brother.

Then Jesus made a statement that probably seemed strange at the time. He said, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live” (v. 25). Martha was caught up in religion and was convinced that Lazarus had already started to decay. Then Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe, you would see the glory of God?” (v. 40). Then they removed the stone and Jesus said, “Lazarus, come forth!” and he who was dead became alive. (vv. 43-44.) They saw the glory of God.

Your dream may appear dead and even your religious friends may tell you that it has already begun to decay. In fact, when you talk about your dream, to some people it may “stinketh.” (v. 39 KJV). But God is the God of the living. His plan for your life has not changed. In the same way Jesus spoke to Martha, God is saying to you today, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?”

Your God-given dream is not dead. It is only sleeping. Apply your faith to your dream and God will resurrect it into new life. It doesn’t matter how things look or what others say. Speak God’s promise into your dead dream, and it will live.

Years ago, it was prophesied that this is the time when the glory of God would be manifested. In order for Martha to see the glory of God, she had to add belief to the promise. Do not allow circumstances, people, or presumed defeat to derail you from believing. Believe in your God-given dream and you will see the manifested glory of God.

LOOK STRAIGHT AHEAD

Let your eyes look straight ahead, fix your gaze directly before you – Proverbs 4:25, NIV

What are you looking at today? Not in the natural, but with your spiritual eyes. In other words, what is in the forefront of your mind and in your heart? Are you constantly dwelling on your problems or things that have happened in your past?

In the natural, you will move in the direction that your eyes are looking. In the spiritual, it works the same way. Whatever you focus your mind and heart on, you will move toward. That’s why today’s verse tells us to look straight ahead. If you are constantly dwelling on your problems or things in your past, wondering “what if,” then you will stay right where you are. But if you choose to forgive and release the past, then you can focus on what is ahead of you, and you’ll begin to move forward.

God doesn’t want you to live in the past. He wants you to keep growing and moving forward. Make the decision to meditate on His goodness and focus on His promises. Look straight ahead so you can see His blessing and move forward into the life of victory He has promised you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Heavenly Father, today I set my focus on You. I choose to forget the past by forgiving others so that I can look straight ahead to Your promises. I ask that You direct my heart on the path of life that You have for me in Jesus’ name. Amen.

YOU MATTER TO GOD!

John 10:3 – … he calls his own sheep by name…

Do you sometimes feel like you are just a face in a crowd or a number in a system? You are identified by your social security number. Even when you see the doctor, you are called by your queue number. If you feel depersonalized and dehumanized, that is exactly how the devil wants you to feel — that you do not matter much to anyone, especially to God.

But you do matter to God! He calls you by name. He knows exactly what you are going through and where you are hurting. He sees you and cares for you, just as He cared for the people when He first walked on earth.

My friend, He will do for you what He did for the woman in Samaria. There was a shorter route from Judea to Galilee, but the Bible says that “He needed to go through Samaria”. (John 4:4) In other words, Jesus deliberately took a longer route, so that He could stop by Samaria to speak to the woman who had been searching for something in her life to satisfy her.

This woman had had five husbands and the man she was living with was not her husband. Clearly, things had not been going right in her life. She was probably looking for answers and fulfillment, and must have felt ashamed about her failed marriages and current lifestyle.

Yet, in spite of all this, she mattered to Jesus! He needed to go to her to minister to her. And indeed, after she met Jesus, the perfect Man, she was transformed. She was no longer ashamed, and went into the city to tell the people about Him. (John 4:28–29)

Beloved, Jesus came a long way from heaven for you. You certainly matter to Him. He came to give you life and life more abundantly. (John 10:10) You are not just a face in a crowd or a number. No, He knows you by name and has a personal love for you. And in spite of the mess which you might be in, He wants to meet your every need and make your life beautiful!

IS THERE ANYTHING TOO HARD FOR GOD?

Genesis 18:14 Is anything too hard for the LORD? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.”

Jeremiah 32
17 ‘Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You.

27 “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?

Matthew 19:26 But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Mark 9:23 Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”

Mark 10:27 But Jesus looked at them and said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.”

Luke 18:27 But He said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”

When Joseph was thrown into the pit by his brothers, he believed that God was with him. When Joseph was sold as a slave and ended up in Potiphar’s house, he believed that God was with him. When Joseph was accused of a crime that he didn’t commit and thrown into prison, he still believed that God was with him!

Beloved, if you are going through a tough situation or a trial today, don’t get bitter and don’t give up. Believe that God is with you and be conscious of His loving presence with you!

As God came through for Joseph and promoted him from the pit to the palace, His unmerited favor is also at work in your situation causing all things to work out for your good!

GOD IS IN THE MIRACLE WORKING BUSINESS TODAY

Acts 2:22 “Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves also know

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

God is and always will be a miracle working God! So if you are not receiving miracles in your life or in the lives of your loved ones you must ask yourself why as God is no respecter of persons and His word is true: Mark 11:24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. 25 “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.

Jesus Christ, who is God manifest in the flesh, demonstrated God’s will for us by healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people. When they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics, He healed them (Matthew 4:24). Sickness, disease, demons, poverty or lack are not our friends but our enemies and Jesus came to destroy these things!

Yes, God who is the same yesterday, today and forever wants to give His people the victory over all this enemies just like He gave the children of Israel victory over the Egyptian enemies, spoiled them with the wealth of Egypt and brought the out of all their bondage and afflictions. God’s word is true:

Then Moses and the children of Israel sang this song to the LORD, and spoke, saying: “I will sing to the LORD,  For He has triumphed gloriously! The horse and its rider He has thrown into the sea! The LORD is my strength and song,  And He has become my salvation; He is my God, and I will praise Him; My father’s God, and I will exalt Him.  The LORD is a man of war;  The LORD is His name. Pharaoh’s chariots and his army He has cast into the sea;  His chosen captains also are drowned in the Red Sea.  The depths have covered them; They sank to the bottom like a stone.  “Your right hand, O LORD, has become glorious in power;  Your right hand, O LORD, has dashed the enemy in pieces.  And in the greatness of Your excellence You have overthrown those who rose against You; You sent forth Your wrath; It consumed them like stubble. Exodus 15:1-7

“Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. “And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God:  “Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country.  “Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks.  “Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl.  “Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.  “The LORD will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways. “The LORD will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the LORD your God is giving you. Deuteronomy 28:1-8
“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

Yes, for those who obey His voice and walk in His ways, Jesus Christ causes their enemies to be defeated. He blesses them coming in and going out! He is the God of all and unlimited power and resources who has overcome the world for them! God’s word is true:
So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit. John 19:30

On the cross of Calvary when Jesus said, “It is finished!” He had achieved everything that we need for our redemption and salvation, be it spiritual, physical, and financial. He has removed from us all the curses the Adam and Eve had brought upon us by their transgression as outlined in Deuteronomy 28:15-66. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith (Galatians 3:13-14). By our works we cannot add or remove on thing that Jesus had done for us, except to enter into the rest God’s has prepared for us since the foundation of the world by mixing with faith the good news of the gospel (Hebrews 4:1-12).

Because of Jesus death and resurrection we now enjoy great benefits. Jesus was punished in our place, because of that, we are forgiven. Jesus became a sin offering; we are made righteous. Jesus became a curse; we are blessed, Jesus was beaten and whipped; we are healed.  Jesus died in our place; we have been given life eternal. Jesus was rejected by man and was also rejected by God; we have been accepted in the Beloved and we will never be forsaken by God. Jesus suffered unbearable trauma; we have been given peace. Jesus was resurrected; we were made a new creature. Jesus became poor with our poverty and we have become rich with His riches. Jesus bore our shame and we now share His glory.  Jesus endured our rejection and we now have His acceptance as children of God.

The good news is that the stone at Jesus’ grave site was miraculously rolled away for us as we now serve a resurrected glorious Christ whose power and glory and riches and victory has been restored to Him. God’s word is unchanging:

Now when the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, that they might come and anoint Him.  Very early in the morning, on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb when the sun had risen.  And they said among themselves, “Who will roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for us?”  But when they looked up, they saw that the stone had been rolled away-for it was very large.  And entering the tomb, they saw a young man clothed in a long white robe sitting on the right side; and they were alarmed. But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him.  “But go, tell His disciples-and Peter-that He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, as He said to you.”  So they went out quickly and fled from the tomb, for they trembled and were amazed. And they said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid.
Now when He rose early on the first day of the week, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom He had cast seven demons.  She went and told those who had been with Him, as they mourned and wept.  And when they heard that He was alive and had been seen by her, they did not believe. Mark 16:16-8
When Mary Magdalene, out of whom He had cast seven demons, went and told those who had been with Jesus, who mourned and wept. But when they heard that He was alive and had been seen by her, they did not believe.  And Jesus Himself had to appear to His disciples and friends to prove that He was no longer dead. Similarly we need for God by the Holy Spirit to open our eyes and understanding to see and understand the truth of magnitude of the victories of the cross and the great exchange Jesus did there. God’s word is unchanging:

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.  “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls,  “who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it. Matthew 13:44-46

It’s just like God to take the useless and worthless things of our lives and to replace it with something priceless. We get from God in return for what we give up:

Christ’s Righteousness for Our sin
For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Cor. 5:21

Peace with God for Wrath of God
Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, Rom. 5:1
Father’s House (Heaven) for Condemnation (Hell)
Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, Eph. 2:,19

Life for Death
“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. Gal. 2:20

The New Man for The Old Man
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 2 Cor. 5:17

Grace for Law
Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another- to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God.  For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were aroused by the law were at work in our members to bear fruit to death. But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter. Rom. 7:4-6

His Strength for Our weakness
And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.  Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.  2 Cor. 12:9-10

His Purity for Our Impurity
Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus,  by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh,  and having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. Heb. 10:19-22

Every Spiritual Blessing for Being His Children
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,  just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, Eph. 1:3-4

God’s Power for Weakness and Self strength
He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength.  Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall,  But those who wait on the LORD  Shall renew their strength;  They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary,  They shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:29-31

Wisdom and Redemption for Hopelessness and Despair
But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God-and righteousness and sanctification and redemption- 1 Cor. 1:30

Good Cheer for Tribulation
“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

Victory for Defeat
But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.1 Cor. 15:57
Joy for Sorrow
“These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. John 15:11

Hope for Despair
To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.  Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. Col. 1:27-28

Fullness for Emptiness
For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. Col. 2:9-10

Goodness for Evil And Self Control for the Flesh
Gal. 5:19-24

Love for Fear
And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.  Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. I John 4:16-18

Rest for Busyness
There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His. Heb. 4:9-10

Freedom for Bondage
“Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. John 8:36

Deliverance for Darkness
He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, Col. 1:13

Truth for Lies
Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.  “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:31- 32

Riches for Poverty
For I want you to know what a great conflict I have for you and those in Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh,  that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ,  in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Col. 2:2

Spiritual mind for Carnal mind
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.  These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.  But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Cor. 2:12-16

Boldness for Fear of Judgment
Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. 1 John 4:17

Abundance For Lack
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich. 2 Corinthians 8:9

Healing for Sickness
who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness-by whose stripes you were healed. 1 Peter 2:24

Our God is able!

 POWER2

Throughout God’s holy Word we see God’s divine ability.  God is able to deliver, to fulfill promises, to make all grace abound, to keep us from falling, to save to the uttermost, and to keep that which we have committed unto Him.  There really is no end to what the Lord can do.  God has all power, and He knows what we have need of.  As we put our complete trust in Him, He will work all things out for our good.  God’s ways and thoughts are higher than ours.

Psalm 28:7 says, “The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped:  therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.”   As we praise the Lord, we will receive strength from Him.  Divine help is available for soul, mind and body so be expecting promises fulfilled for you and yours.

God’s grace is so full and so free.  We did nothing to deserve it; it was  freely given to us through Jesus Christ.  He came, lived, died and was raised to life again to bring divine grace to whosoever will. Because of His grace, sin no longer has dominion over you, and “God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work,” II Corinthians 9:8.

God’s grace is sufficient for all of our needs.  We read in the Word that when Paul was going through trials, the Lord said, “My grace is sufficient for thee.”  God’s grace is sufficient indeed for soul, mind and body. God is love, and no one but He could have devised the plan of redemption and given such grace to mankind.  God gave all of His love when He made Calvary  Love did it, and there is no greater love than His.  Trust Him to take care of your every need.  With God all things are possible.

We have nothing to fear and nothing to worry about if our hope and trust is in the Lord.  Jesus said in John 14:27, “Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”  In this last hour, people are so full of deceit and hate; many think only of themselves.  However, there is One that sticketh closer than a brother, One who does not change, One who has all power–Lord God Almighty.

The Lord is our Rock, our shield, our High Tower, and He is holy.  Yield to the Holy Spirit at all times, and He will direct your steps.   There isn’t anything like walking in the Spirit and receiving the wisdom and guidance that He gives.  The Lord has the power to save, heal and deliver.  He is greater than all the principalities and powers of this Earth.  The Bible says in Isaiah 54:17, “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper.”  God is greater than all your needs today, so put everything in God’s hands and believe to see victory in Jesus’ name
