PRAYER

3What is the power of prayer?”

The idea that power is inherent in prayer
is a very popular one. According to the Bible, the
power of prayer is, quite simply, the power of
God, who hears and answers prayer. Consider
the following:

1) The Lord God Almighty can do all things;
there is nothing impossible for Him ( Luke 1:37 ).

2) The Lord God Almighty invites His people to
pray to Him. Prayer to God should be made
persistently ( Luke 18:1 ), with thanksgiving
( Philippians 4:6 ), in faith ( James 1:5 ), within the
will of God ( Matthew 6:10 ), for the glory of God
( John 14:13-14 ), and from a heart right with God
( James 5:16 ).

3) The Lord God Almighty hears the prayers of
His children. He commands us to pray, and He
promises to listen when we do. “In my distress I
called to the LORD; I cried to my God for help.
From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came
before him, into his ears” ( Psalm 18:6 ).

4) The Lord God Almighty answers prayer. “I call
on you, O God, for you will answer me” ( Psalm
17:6 ). “The righteous cry out, and the LORD
hears them; he delivers them from all their
troubles” ( Psalm 34:17 ). Another popular idea is that the amount of faith we have determines whether or not God will answer our prayers. However, sometimes the

Lord answers our prayers in spite of our own
lack of faith. In Acts 12 , the church prays for
Peter’s release from prison (v. 5), and God
answers their prayer (vv. 7-11). Peter goes to
the door of the prayer meeting and knocks, but
those who are praying refuse at first to believe
that it is really Peter. They prayed he would be
released, but they failed to expect an answer to
their prayers.

The power of prayer does not flow from us; it is
not special words we say or the special way we
say them or even how often we say them. The
power of prayer is not based on a certain
direction we face or a certain position of our
bodies. The power of prayer does not come from
the use of artifacts or icons or candles or beads.
The power of prayer comes from the omnipotent
One who hears our prayers and answers them.

Our Prayer places us in contact with Almighty God,
and we should expect almighty results, whether
or not He chooses to grant our petitions or deny
our requests. Whatever the answer to our
prayers, the God to whom we pray is the source
of the power of prayer, and He can and will
answer us, according to His perfect will and
timing.

A NEW THING

A1

CHOOSE TO BELIEVE

Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again, He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them. – John 12:37-40

This could be interpreted as the ultimate teaching in predestination. That interpretation would be that these people were never given the opportunity to believe because of Isaiah’s prophecies. However, the Word of God makes it clear that “whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Rom. 10:13); “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me” (Rev. 3:20); and “whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely” (Rev. 22:17). No one has ever been denied the opportunity to accept salvation (Ti. 2:11).

Mark 6:5 says that “he (Jesus) could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.” In that instance, it is evident that the reason Jesus couldn’t do any mighty work was not because He didn’t possess the power, but because He chose not to use that power against a person’s will. He couldn’t perform the mighty works because of His decision to uphold our freedom of choice.

Likewise, these Jews could not believe because of their choice to reject Jesus. They could not believe because they chose not to believe. “They stumbled at the stumblingstone” (Rom. 9:32), which was Jesus.

Isaiah did not predestine them to this fate. Rather he saw that very few would receive the report (Isa. 53:1) about the Messiah, and therefore would be kept from the knowledge of salvation because they rejected Him in whom all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are found (Col. 2:3). This is what Isaiah prophesied, and it came to pass. Be careful what you choose.

FORGIVE OTHERS …

And become useful and helpful and kind to one another, tenderhearted, (compassionate, understanding, loving-hearted), forgiving one another [readily and freely], as God in Christ forgave you. – Ephesians 4:32 AMP

As followers of Christ, our character should mirror His character. We should be helpful, kind and tender, understanding and loving to one another. Most of all, we should be extending forgiveness in the same way that Christ extends forgiveness toward us. In other words, we need to forgive unconditionally. But many times, people say they won’t forgive until the other person says they are sorry. Or, they won’t forgive because they think somehow they are getting that person back. But the only person who is hurt by your unforgiveness is you! When you hold unforgiveness, it blocks God’s forgiveness and keeps you locked up in the hurt and pain.

Choose to forgive today! Forgiveness simply begins with a choice to obey God’s command. When you open your heart to forgiveness, you open your heart to God’s healing and restoration in your life. Make the choice today to forgive others—readily and freely—as Christ forgave you!

DIFFERENT WAYS TO PRAY (3)

‘I lay prostrate before the Lord…’ Deuteronomy 9:25

Find a prayer style that works for you. In Scripture people pray as they stand, kneel, lie on the ground, sit, stretch out their hands, lift their faces toward the sky, or bow them toward the earth. Just find the method that works best for you, and use it. Some people pray better when they are moving. If you’re one of them, take a walk, go for a drive, or run. You are free to use your body and posture to help you turn your mind and heart towards God. When you’re acknowledging your sins, you may find it helpful to have your head bowed and to kneel; it’ll help you to remember and experience the humility of the moment. In worship, you may want to turn your face towards the sky. In asking for guidance, you may find it helpful to turn your palms upwards as a way of expressing with your body: ‘Lord, whatever You want.’ When praying for someone, say at a restaurant, you may want to look that person right in the eye while talking to God and say, ‘Father, I’m so grateful for this person. You know what they need. Give them what is required by their heart.’ When you’re praising God, put on a worship CD and sing along. The point is you should approach God with the joy, excitement and simplicity with which a child runs into the arms of a loving parent. Just as you don’t have anyone else’s fingerprints, you don’t have anyone else’s temperament. So just approach God in a way that’s natural, spontaneous and comfortable for you.

DIFFERENT WAYS TO PRAY (2)

‘Hezekiah received the letter…and spread it out before the Lord.’ Isaiah 37:14 NIV

Hezekiah, King of Israel, received a threatening letter from a much more powerful king—the King of Assyria. The Assyrian potentate demanded unconditional surrender, and told Hezekiah not to trust in God. The letter was graphic, warning that resistance meant the Israelites would have to ‘eat their own excrement and drink their own urine’ before they died (2 Kings 18:27NIV). So Hezekiah went to the temple ‘and spread it out before the Lord.’ Then he prayed: ‘…God of Israel, enthroned between the cherubim, You alone are God over all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made Heaven and earth. Give ear, O Lord, and hear; open Your eyes, O Lord, and see…’ (Isaiah 37:16–17 NIV) Hezekiah basically said, ‘Lord, would you read this, then do something about it!’ And God did. Indeed, what He did was spectacular. ‘Then the angel of the Lord went out and put to death a hundred and eighty–five thousand in the Assyrian camp. When the people got up the next morning—there were all the dead bodies!’ (Isaiah 37:36 NIV) So, what piece of paper would you like to spread out before the Lord? A financial statement that’s overwhelming? A divorce decree? A medical diagnosis? An angry email? Any piece of paper that causes you stress can be an invitation to prayer, and a candidate to be spread out before the Lord. If it’s important to you, it’s important to Him. You say, ‘I’ve never done anything like that before.’ Try it. Give it to God, trust Him, and watch how He works things out for you.

GOD FAVORS YOU BECAUSE HE LOVES YOU …

1 John 4:19 – We love Him because He first loved us.

Have you ever found yourself receiving such exceeding favor that you wonder why? My friend, it is because God is lavishing His grace—unearned, undeserved, unmerited favor—on you. And He does it because He loves you.

I love reading the Old Testament story of Ruth, a young Moabite widow, because it speaks of God’s amazing grace. The moment Ruth depended on God’s grace or favor, she had full access to His blessings. Of all the fields in Bethlehem, His grace led her to the field that belonged to Boaz, who was not only a wealthy bachelor, but also a relative of her father-in-law. (Ruth 2:3) Boaz was therefore her potential kinsman-redeemer—someone who could redeem her from her plight as a poor and childless widow.

Boaz favored Ruth from the moment he laid eyes on her. Ruth was not even a Jew, yet he cared for her safety by telling her not to glean in another field and to stay close to his young women. He even commanded the young men working for him not to touch her and to allow her to drink the water which they had drawn.

During mealtimes, he sat her beside the reapers although she was just a lowly gleaner who picked up what they had missed or dropped. On top of that, he gave her parched grain, making sure that she ate and was satisfied, and that she had leftovers to bring back to her mother-in-law. (Ruth 2:1–18)

Ruth simply believed that she would find favor in the field and God placed her at the right place at the right time, so that He could open a big door of blessings to her.

Do you know that Boaz is a beautiful picture of our Lord Jesus? The Bible says that “He first loved us”. Jesus saw you and loved you first, long before you knew Him or loved Him. And He favors whom He loves.

Beloved, there is no need to fight or strive to qualify for God’s favor and blessings. His favor is all over you because He first loved you. Just trust in His love for you and you will see His favor bringing an abundance of blessings into your life!

RIPPLES OF HOPE

In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. —1 Peter 1:3

In 1966, U.S. Senator Robert Kennedy made an influential visit to South Africa. There he offered words of hope to opponents of apartheid in his famous “Ripple of Hope” speech at the University of Cape Town. In his speech, he declared, “Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current which can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.”

At times in this world, hope seems scarce. Yet there is an ultimate hope readily available for the follower of Christ. Peter wrote, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead” (1 Peter 1:3).

Through the certainty of Christ’s resurrection, the child of God has a hope that is more than a ripple. It is an overwhelming current of confidence in the faithfulness of the One who conquered death for us. Jesus, in His victory over death—our greatest enemy—can infuse hope into the most hopeless of situations.

My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness; I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus’ name. Edward Mote

In Christ the hopeless find hope.

THE POWER TO LIVE A HOLY LIFE

Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. – John 12:31

The only reason Satan ever had any right to become a prince or rule over us was because we yielded ourselves to him through sin (Rom. 6:16). Since Jesus “bore our sins in His own body on the tree” (1 Pet.2:24), Satan no longer has power or authority over those who accept Jesus’ gift of salvation. Satan has been “cast out” — stripped of any power he had. Now he can only deceive, and if we fall for his lies, we stop God’s blessings from flowing in our lives.

The reason why a believer must live a holy life, is to avoid Satan’s bondage. When we obey sin, we yield ourselves to Satan, the author of that sin.Yielding to sin is yielding to a person, Satan. God doesn’t impute the sin to us but the devil does. Our actions either release the power of Satan or the power of God in us.

Although God is not imputing our sins unto us, we cannot afford the luxury of sin because it allows Satan to have access to us. When a Christian does sin and gives the devil an opportunity to produce death in his life, the way to stop him is to confess the sin. God is faithful and just to take the forgiveness that is already present in our born-again spirit and release it in our flesh, thereby removing Satan and his strongholds.

A person who abandons himself to sin is actually becoming a slave to the devil while a person who obeys righteousness is yielding himself to the Lord. This is why a Christian should live a holy life.

GARMENT OF PRAISE …

Provide for those who grieve…a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor – Isaiah 61:3

What are you wearing today? Not on your physical body, but what’s covering your mind and emotions? Are you clothed with despair and disappointment? Are you wearing “heaviness?”

If you’ve recently gone through a hurtful or disappointing situation, the Bible says there is a time to grieve. It’s important to go through that process and release the hurt to God. But the Bible also says that God wants to give you a garment of praise instead of a spirit of heaviness or despair. He wants to exchange your hurt for His healing. He wants to fill you with His peace and joy.

Are the garments of yesterday holding you back and weighing you down? Maybe it’s time to exchange that heaviness for His garment of praise. Maybe it’s time to release those heavy burdens. It’s time to forgive those who have hurt you and begin to praise your way into a new season. Start right now by thanking Him for the life you have today. Thank Him for the opportunities today has to offer. Thank Him for the beautiful sunrise. Put on the garment of praise and release the spirit of heaviness.

DON’T PUT YOUR FAITH IN DIETS AND EXERCISE …

Psalm 118:8 – It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.

A lot of people think that the way to get health is to watch what they eat. For example, many people say that the Mediterranean diet is a very healthy one. I agree, generally. But do you know that the people whom Jesus healed were also on a Mediterranean diet? They did not eat pork and prawns, for example, because they were Jews and these things are not kosher for them.

I know that you want to walk in divine health. But God does not want your focus to be on food—what to eat, what not to eat—or even exercise—how to exercise, when to exercise. All these are natural means which the people of the world trust in. It is better to trust in the Lord and His finished work, than to put your confidence in the latest man-made diet plans and exercise regimes.

At the cross, Jesus took your sicknesses and carried your pains, and by His stripes you were healed. (Isaiah 53:4–5) The Bible even tells us how to escape sickness and premature death—by discerning the Lord’s body when we partake of the Lord’s Supper. (1 Corinthians 11:29–30) But instead of focusing on these truths, many of us prefer to focus on dieting and exercising.

Now, I am not against eating well or exercising. I myself exercise and I do watch what I eat. For example, I don’t like to eat oily stuff because it makes me feel uncomfortable. And when I have to preach, I do my best not to eat foods that make me burp!

But I eat generally healthy stuff not because I trust dieting to make me healthy. I exercise not because I trust exercising to make me healthy. No, I trust the finished work of Christ to make me healthy. I eat well because I like to feel good and I exercise because I enjoy the rush, the sweat!

God wants you to be free when it comes to eating and exercising. Don’t make laws for eating and exercising, and then trust these laws to give you “divine” health. Trust in the finished work of Christ. Discern His body when you partake of the Holy Communion. And just enjoy your food and workout!

JESUS PAID OUR DEBT

Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. – John 12:31

There is still a future judgment of the world coming, where the wicked will be separated from the righteous and cast into the lake of fire. This verse refers to the sins of the world that were about to be placed on Jesus and that He would suffer our punishment.

Jesus suffered the punishment for our sins, so there is no reason why we should suffer for them too. The price for sin has already been paid by the only one who could fully pay it and that is Jesus. All Jesus asks of us to make His redemption ours, is faith in Him as our Lord.

Sin has a wage it must pay and no one can avoid payday without faith in Jesus. Anyone who does not receive the new birth will be held liable for all the wrong they committed as a result of their sinful nature. However, those who receive the new birth through faith in Jesus, don’t have a sin nature and therefore, will not receive the payment of death.

Physical death as well as every result of the sin nature (i.e. sickness, depression, fear, etc.) is only a by-product of the spiritual death that was already inside of us. The Lord told Adam that in the day he ate of the forbidden tree, he would surely die (Gen. 2:17). Adam didn’t die physically that day but he did die spiritually. Physical death came 930 years later for Adam (Gen. 5:5) as a by-product of his spiritual death.

Eternal life is a gift. The dictionary defines a gift as “something that is bestowed voluntarily and without compensation; a present.” We have nothing to do with earning this gift. All you have to do is receive it by faith.

PRAYER

AB

DIFFERENT KINDS OF PRAYER
(Pastor Brian Machache)

(Eph 6:18)(Phi 4:6)(1 Thess 5:17)(Luke 18:1)

As children of God we need to learn to pray always.A praying Christian is better than a Christian who doesn’t pray at all but knowing how to pray will produce better results than just praying. There are various kinds of prayers that a believer should learn to pray.

1)The Prayer of Consecration (Mat 26:39)

In this type of prayer you offer yourself to the Lord for His perfect will to be done. God loves children who want His will to be done.

2) Praying in the Spirit  (Jude 20)

This is when you just give yourself to praying in other tongues. The Holy Spirit knows what we don’t know hence when we pray in the spirit we pray for the unknown .

3) The Prayer of Faith (James 5:15)

When we are praying for the sick we need to pray the prayer of faith. This prayer may be short but very full of faith.

4) Prayer of Thanksgiving (1 Thessalonians 5:18)

We need to learn to go before God just thanking him for what he has done, what he is doing and what he will do.

5)The prayer of agreement (Mat 18:19)(Deu 32:30)

There is power in agreement and unity. There are some situations in your life that require you to look for someone and pray in agreement with that person believing God to bring a change to the situation.

6) The Prayer of Petition (Mtt 21:22)(Mk 11:24)(Mtt 7:7)

The prayer of petition is when you pray for your individual requirements. There are many things that you require as an individual which you need to ask your heavenly father to provide you.

7)The prayer of worship (Act 13:2)

Worship is more of honouring God for who he is not for what he has done or what he will do.In this prayer we need to tell God who he is to us.He is our father, the creator, the omnipresent and all powerful God.

8) The Prayer of Commitment (Phi 4:6) (Mat 6:25-27)(1Pe 5:7)

This is a prayer where you need to surrender all your cares/challenges to God.There are problems in this life that you cannot handle in your own power.Everything that looks too big for your mind or strength don’t try to fix it,just surrender it to God.

9)The prayer of intercession (Eze 22:30)

This is the prayer of standing for others not yourself. There is a time when we need to put aside our personal needs as children of God and just pray for others.

a)Intercede for your nation
b)Intercede for your family
c)Intercede for your church
d)Intercede for your enemies

PRAYER

ABMY PRAYER FOR YOU

EPHESIANS 1:15 Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints,
16 do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers:
17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,
18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,
19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power
20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,
21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.
22 And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church,
23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

EPHESIANS 3:14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man,
17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height —
19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,
21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

 FORGET NOT HIS BENEFITS

Psalms 103:1 Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits:
3 Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases,
4 Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
6 The LORD executes righteousness And justice for all who are oppressed.

11 For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;
12 As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
13 As a father pities his children, So the LORD pities those who fear Him.
14 For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust.
15 As for man, his days are like grass; As a flower of the field, so he flourishes.
16 For the wind passes over it, and it is gone, And its place remembers it no more.
17 But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting On those who fear Him, And His righteousness to children’s children,
18 To such as keep His covenant, And to those who remember His commandments to do them.
19 The LORD has established His throne in heaven, And His kingdom rules over all

PRAYER

20111111Prayer Changes Things

Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.  Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months.  And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.

Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back,  let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins. James 5:16-20
It’s true, prayer does bring change to things. But prayer that is misdirected or out of God’s will changes nothing. It must be prayed in faith, believing God with truth at the center of the prayer. Those who wander from the truth become a sinner who go in the error of their ways and a soul which is going into death.  God does not hear the prayers of unrighteous and wicked men unless the repent.

The righteous man must keep to God only.  Keep to the Word and the truth. Keep to the wisdom He has given them and the Words He has spoken to them. He is to ignore human earthly wisdom which is sensual and devilish as God’s word is true

Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening?  Can a fig tree, my brethren, bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh.  Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom.

But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.  But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. James 3:11-17

The winds in the storm are blowing down the vineyards of the proud. They are crossing the land from coast to coast and destroying the strongholds of foolish men. They are changing the landscape in such a way that it will never be the same again, nor, for the matter, should it.  The winds are blowing all across this land. They are holding the enemy at bay. They are driving the enemy from the land and bringing peace again. They are walking where they were never expected to go. They are devastating the land. Make no mistake the whirlwind is a judgment and it purges the entire land.

Heaven and earth may pass away but the truths of God remain forever. Never in the history of mankind has the whirlwind been so terrible. From here is only more devastation because when the call went out, no one cared or bothers to listen, their agendas were too full for any other. When men come to be as they are right now, the answer from Heaven is the same. Judgment for blessing and pain for joy, the choice is each man’s whatever. The darkness enters where light once was and brings it black cohorts with it.

The invisible realm is the true realm, the physical is the other. When the eye views a thing it sees upside-down and imagines is sees it proper. So is our spiritual eyes. The inner understanding of God. The place where men commune with their Lord. They think they see in the right order but their thinking is warped and void.  Let no man say he is greater than God. Let no man say he is able to out think Him. No man is able but his mouth destroys him and turns God to others. Then, he wonders why God does not answer.

The heathen is better than the greatest evangelist. He is humble when God delivers him from his situation and appreciates what has been done for him. However, the religious man is a religious man and he does not reach God at all. His actions speak louder than his words and he hopes by thinking it out he will escape any judgment.

But, God is no fool. He knows the hearts of men. He knows when they are just doing it again. No, man is sure he has it on right and God discerns it other. So, where does man stand, on this side or that? Only God knows whatever.

The judgments of God they come and they go, it seems unimportant whatever. But, this is not true for me and for you, the answer is in each other. The Kingdom is come, Thy will be gone, on earth as it is in Heaven. So we chant with one voice and pretend to rejoice when hardship is the bitter cup we drink from.

But, the answer is in us in the form of the Prince, and we presume He accepts whatever from us. This is not true. We must follow His voice and do His will, we have no other choice. Yet, many can’t hear and more can’t see and no one understands the right choices.

The answer is simple, the way is clear, humble your heart and surrender your will. The One you serve is greater than your desires and ways. Delight in His way and no other.

Jesus Christ is the Way-Maker! The winds in every storm of life. He is  healing and rearranging the land. He is redecorating it. He is re-shaping it and molding it to  his will and it’s own will! Those who chose to flow along with God when He comes over them will do so. Those who chose to believe their traditions and philosophies will be left behind. It is just that simple.

Men say, “God is in the mood for change,” but this is not true. It is man who is in the “mood” for change. He knows he needs it. He knows he can’t make it without it. He knows there has to be something more than the dull, uneventful life he is leading. He knows deep in his knower that without God’s re-vitalizing Presence he is an empty brass symbol, clanging away without any real purpose.

True men desire true wisdom, true love and true purpose. They don’t just want to have what they can never get, they want what they “know” is their birthright—peace from above and the wisdom to know the difference.

Let every man desire the “sincere meat of the Word.” Let him come and hunger after the things of God and desire to hear directly from Him. For in so doing they become as Apostle Paul, entering the Syrian wilderness for three and a half years until he began his ministry to the Gentiles.

Let no man say he is above the truth for then he is the liar. He has deceived himself into believing he is above the spiritual laws of the universe. He thinks he can escape with clever calculations and cunning tricks to escape the consequences of his behavior and sinful ways. However, eventually they get him in the end. He falls victim to his own well laid plans because they were the plans of men and not God.

Let every man be a liar and God be true. There is no escaping God. He will find you wherever you run or hide upon the entire earth. There is no escaping Him and his truths. They are all about us and never changing and always present everywhere at all times. Jonah found this out to be true when he lay in the belly of a real live whale for three days. He could not escape the truth for the truth is the Lord and He is present everywhere always.

Men may think they have won. Men may think they have overcome but it is God who determines the outcome. His truths determine the result. If men follow the line of thinking of the truth they will find peace, joy, well-being and happiness because these things are only found in the Lord. However, if men think they are above such things they will pay the consequence for their ignorance of the universal spiritual truths that exist all around them everyday of their lives.

God’s truths are eternal. Like a coolly burning blue white flame, they burn out the imperfections in our lives. They destroy the darkness in our souls and they heal the whole person—body, spirit, soul and mind. God is not to be mocked what a man sows he reaps, but nor is a man whipped when he is already down. God forgives and uplifts the truly humble heart. Therefore, our humility is more important than anything else for without it we can never enter the Holy of Holies to find mercy and grace in time of trouble.

The Heavens and earth are full of God’s Glory and He never change in His intentions and purposes for those who truly love Him and desire to serve Him with all of their hearts. He is the Way-maker and the winds in the storms of those who serve Him.  He is the tornado and hurricane. He is doing what He has been called to do. He is being God to mankind. Though it is not perfect He is in the middle of it. He allows and He disallows and nothing happens except He is in it. He sees all men do and He vindicates the innocent and punishes the guilty. This has never changed down through history. For God has never changed.

The enemy is sifting God’s people for His Name’s sake. For they have served themselves only. They pay Him lip service but their hearts are truly far from Him. They say they know Him but don’t understand how to walk with Him. They do themselves great harm and God’s Name is defamed because of them.

As a result in due season they will be destroyed.  God  desires to stop their destruction but they have not asked Him and He cannot do anything but pure justice. They have defiled the truth and defrauded their spirits. They have come up far short of where they intended and have failed both themselves and God.

God has  prepared a place for them they did not intent to go. They have forgotten the government is upon His shoulders and He lifts one up and puts another down. He has prepared a place of destruction and appointed hour of annihilation. Their appointment will be met and their end is assured. They have chosen it and now it is inevitable.

Destruction comes as a stalking spirit in the middle of the night to bring them to their end. They thought for a season all is well but that is even vanity and deception. They have given into their dark side and brought destruction upon themselves. Now, they must pay the piper.

But for God’s true righteous ones there is no distance in prayer. They must keep praying and keep expecting because God is the wind in your sails, the rudder of your ship and the healing in their  body and souls.

The heathen has imagined a vain thing. They have imagined there is no God. They have believed there is no God and God is moving to heal their imagination and determination to serve only themselves.

Can He do it? Is there a God? Yes! I can do it! He will call forth Children from the very rocks. They will cry out against the Children of Israel! He has determined they will be destroyed because they refused to heed His Voice! Let all praise the Lord, including the rocks themselves.

A new day has dawned. The beginning of the end for many hedonists and semanticists. The church is being renovated and redecorated. It will not look the same on the inside when God is finished with it. It is His bride and He  has much work to do in her and with her. He  never lets His bride go or leaves her to her own ways. He has been in charge despite what it looks like. But, now is the hour of change and deliverance for many of God’s  true Ones and they will be held by religious foolishness not much longer.

God is moving consistently and continually against His enemies to deal with all who are sure they are His very own but only serve themselves. He will bring a real change to the land and the landowners. The land is about to change hands. There are new owners waiting in the wings for the vineyard and new hands will till the soil and tend the garden. Those to whom God has given the land have failed to tend is properly and carefully. They have gone lax and self-centered. Desiring the better part for themselves and not others.

But healing is flying on “healing wings” bringing about the promises God has  made to so many who have waited so patiently. God is grieved to the very heart of things men do to each other in the name of their faith. He is so grieved wounded and hurt and sorrow for them. For without God they are so empty and lost in all of their busy-ness.

He grieves for His  lost children and hurt souls. He is so grieved and wounded for them. He desires that His children  pray for His  wounded children. For they are in such deep need of Him! They don’t understand how much they need Him! They pretend serve God but their hearts are far from Him!

Yet, God  can regenerate even foolish men and convict them of their wicked ways For He is their true  Redeemer and dear Friend and He loves to answer the prayers of His righteous ones. His word is true:

The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous,  And His ears are open to their cry.  The face of the LORD is against those who do evil,  To cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.  The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears,  And delivers them out of all their troubles.  The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart,  And saves such as have a contrite spirit.  Many are the afflictions of the righteous,  But the LORD delivers him out of them all. Psalm 34:15-19

RELIGIOUS LEGALISM

BAThere are always those fools and deceivers who have raised no one from the dead, have not made the lame to walk, or cast out demons from the afflicted ones, who try to tells us they know something more about Christianity and Jesus Christ than others but in reality try to entangle us back into the yoke of the bondage of the requirement of the tradition doctrine rudiment of men of works and deeds. But we are to be steadfast in the leading of the holy spirit” and are not to let our liberation in Christ be threaten by the rudiment tradition doctrine of religious legalism.

Christ did not come for religion, but He brought us salvation to have an intimate relationship with our heavenly father, how many deceived  religious people try to add their legalism as a standard to have relationship with God. They ignore God’s word on the matter:

Gal:5:1 IN [this] freedom Christ has made us free [and completely liberated us]; stand fast then, and do not be hampered {and} held ensnared {and} submit again to a yoke of slavery [which you have once put off].

2Cor:11:3-4:But [now] I am fearful, lest that even as the serpent beguiled Eve by his cunning, so your minds may be corrupted {and} seduced from wholehearted {and} sincere {and} pure devotion to Christ. For [you seem readily to endure it] if a man comes and preaches another Jesus than the One we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the [Spirit] you [once] received or a different gospel from the one you [then] received {and} welcomed; you tolerate [all that] well enough!

If Christ did it all, there is absolutely nothing to boast of, but we are to rely and adhere to the finished work that is by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Rom:10:4 For Christ is the end of the Law [the limit at which it ceases to be, for the Law leads up to Him Who is the fulfillment of its types, and in Him the purpose which it was designed to accomplish is fulfilled. That is, the purpose of the Law is fulfilled in Him] as the means of righteousness (right relationship to God) for everyone who trusts in {and} adheres to {and} relies on Him.

The flesh is always hankering to hold unto their work, because of pride of mankind. They point to how many hours they prayed, how many verses they read in a day, how many fast, offering and tithe they have paid, and they hold unto that as a way to maintain their salvation, where by it is all about the grace and mercy of God that made us acceptable to god.luke18:10-14.

Apostle Paul said by the grace of God on his life, he is whom he is in Christ, so all those that see themself as more holier than others, was not because of the grace of God, why can’t they see those that are still growing in the lord, that the same grace that made them to be whom they are in life, that same grace will bring it to past in the new birth in Christ. But reverse is the case, they have allowed pride to enter their head and thinking that it’s by their power self will that made them to be where they are, and they stared using condemnation, false guilt of dead work legalism to drive people to God, instead of using the grace and love of god to draw people to God.

Why should we be falling back to works of the flesh when christ has finished the work that our flesh could not achieve.

Gal:5:4 If you seek to be justified {and} declared righteous {and} to be given a right standing with God through the Law, you are brought to nothing {and} so separated (severed) from Christ. You have fallen away from grace (from God’s gracious favor and unmerited blessing).

Rom:8:1-3:THEREFORE, [there is] now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus, {who live [and] walk not after the dictates of the flesh, but after the dictates of the Spirit.} For the law of the Spirit of life [which is] in Christ Jesus [the law of our new being] has freed me from the law of sin and of death. For God has done what the Law could not do, [its power] being weakened by the flesh [the entire nature of man without the Holy Spirit]. Sending His own Son in the guise of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, [God] condemned sin in the flesh [subdued, overcame, deprived it of its power over all who accept that sacrifice],

Christianity is not meant to be like other religious that are governed by requirement from people to meet up the standard of their gods. But we are into a relationship with our father where the Holy Spirit does everything for us. We are led by the prompting of the spirit, and not by requirement of the demand of the hostilities of the letters that killeth.

All what the law demanded from us, has been wiped away by our Lord Jesus Christ, because it’s the law that the enemy of our soul is using to kill and destroy the children of god, but some religious folks are still empowering Satan by using the law to execute their wickedness.

Col:2:14-15:Having cancelled {and} blotted out {and} wiped away the handwriting of the note (bond) with its legal decrees {and} demands which was in force {and} stood against us (hostile to us). This [note with its regulations, decrees, and demands] He set aside {and} cleared completely out of our way by nailing it to [His] cross. [God] disarmed the principalities and powers that were ranged against us and made a bold display {and} public example of them, in triumphing over them in Him {and} in it [the cross].

As we are in Christ, the rudiment and doctrine and tradition of men where we are meant to meet all their requirement laid before us are of no use anymore, they are obsolete.

Eph:2:14-15:For He is [Himself] our peace (our bond of unity and harmony). He has made us both [Jew and Gentile] one [body], and has broken down (destroyed, abolished) the hostile dividing wall between us, By abolishing in His [own crucified] flesh the enmity [caused by] the Law with its decrees and ordinances [which He annulled]; that He from the two might create in Himself one new man [one new quality of humanity out of the two], so making peace.

2 Corinthians 1:20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

God does not speak in uncertain sounds (I Corinthians 14:8), and neither should we (Matthew 5:37). All His promises will be fulfilled, and all His warnings mean exactly what they say.

Prayer Changes Things

VICTORY

And the LORD listened to Hezekiah and healed the people. 2 Chronicles 30:20

Thus Hezekiah did throughout all Judah, and he did what was good and right and true before the LORD his God.  And in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, in the law and in the commandment, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart. So he prospered. 2 Chronicles 31:20-22

The Word of God is a testimony to the fact that the fervent effectual prayer of a righteous man changes things and this is quite easily demonstrated in the life of king Hezekiah who did what was good and right and true before the LORD his God.  The bible records about Hezekiah what it doesn’t say about many other kings in Israel and Judea:

Now it came to pass in the third year of Hoshea the son of Elah, king of Israel, that Hezekiah the son of Ahaz, king of Judah, began to reign.  He was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Abi the daughter of Zechariah.  And he did what was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father David had done. He removed the high places and broke the sacred pillars, cut down the wooden image and broke in pieces the bronze serpent that Moses had made; for until those days the children of Israel burned incense to it, and called it Nehushtan.  He trusted in the LORD God of Israel, so that after him was none like him among all the kings of Judah, nor who were before him.  For he held fast to the LORD; he did not depart from following Him, but kept His commandments, which the LORD had commanded Moses.

The LORD was with him; he prospered wherever he went. And he rebelled against the king of Assyria and did not serve him.  He subdued the Philistines, as far as Gaza and its territory, from watchtower to fortified city. 2 Kings 18:4-8

Yes, those who trust in and hold fast to the Lord, do not depart from following Him, but keep His commandments shall prosper in whatever they do! While the others shall not such as king Hoshea of Israel  who didn’t obey the voice of the LORD his God, but transgressed His covenant and all that Moses the servant of the LORD had commanded; and he would neither hear nor do them! Yes.  Yes, God’s word is true:

Now it came to pass in the fourth year of King Hezekiah, which was the seventh year of Hoshea the son of Elah, king of Israel, that Shalmaneser king of Assyria came up against Samaria and besieged it.  And at the end of three years they took it. In the sixth year of Hezekiah, that is, the ninth year of Hoshea king of Israel, Samaria was taken.

Then the king of Assyria carried Israel away captive to Assyria, and put them in Halah and by the Habor, the River of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes,  because they did not obey the voice of the LORD their God, but transgressed His covenant and all that Moses the servant of the LORD had commanded; and they would neither hear nor do them. And in the fourteenth year of King Hezekiah, Sennacherib king of Assyria came up against all the fortified cities of Judah and took them. 2 Kings 18:9-13

Hezekiah was a righteous man of faith who trusted in the Lord, and walked in His ways and commandments. When the enemy encamped against Judah Hezekiah told the people, “Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid nor dismayed before the king of Assyria, nor before all the multitude that is with him; for there are more with us than with him.  “With him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the LORD our God, to help us and to fight our battles.” He made a confession of faith and the Lord who is God alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth and made heaven and earth, fought for him and gave him the victory. The bible records:

After these deeds of faithfulness, Sennacherib king of Assyria came and entered Judah; he encamped against the fortified cities, thinking to win them over to himself.  And when Hezekiah saw that Sennacherib had come, and that his purpose was to make war against Jerusalem,  he consulted with his leaders and commanders to stop the water from the springs which were outside the city; and they helped him.  Thus many people gathered together who stopped all the springs and the brook that ran through the land, saying, “Why should the kings of Assyria come and find much water?”  And he strengthened himself, built up all the wall that was broken, raised it up to the towers, and built another wall outside; also he repaired the Millo in the City of David, and made weapons and shields in abundance.  Then he set military captains over the people, gathered them together to him in the open square of the city gate, and gave them encouragement, saying, “Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid nor dismayed before the king of Assyria, nor before all the multitude that is with him; for there are more with us than with him.  “With him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the LORD our God, to help us and to fight our battles.” And the people were strengthened by the words of Hezekiah king of Judah. 2 Chronicles 32:1-8

Now because of this King Hezekiah and the prophet Isaiah, the son of Amoz, prayed and cried out to heaven.  Then the LORD sent an angel who cut down every mighty man of valor, leader, and captain in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned shamefaced to his own land. And when he had gone into the temple of his god, some of his own offspring struck him down with the sword there.  Thus the LORD saved Hezekiah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem from the hand of Sennacherib the king of Assyria, and from the hand of all others, and guided them on every side. 2 Chronicles 32:20-22

Yes, on a certain night that the angel of the LORD went out, and killed in the camp of the Assyrians one hundred and eighty-five thousand; and when people arose early in the morning, there were the corpses-all dead. As a result king Sennacherib king of Assyria departed and went away, and returned home where his sons struck him down with the sword. So king Hezekaih prospered and lived in safety. When king Hezekiah become sick and was about to die the Lord He humbled himself and cried to God and the Lord  heard his prayer and healed him:

In those days Hezekiah was sick and near death, and he prayed to the LORD; and He spoke to him and gave him a sign.  But Hezekiah did not repay according to the favor shown him, for his heart was lifted up; therefore wrath was looming over him and over Judah and Jerusalem.  Then Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart, he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the wrath of the LORD did not come upon them in the days of Hezekiah.   Hezekiah had very great riches and honor. And he made himself treasuries for silver, for gold, for precious stones, for spices, for shields, and for all kinds of desirable items;  storehouses for the harvest of grain, wine, and oil; and stalls for all kinds of livestock, and folds for flocks.  Moreover he provided cities for himself, and possessions of flocks and herds in abundance; for God had given him very much property. 2 Chronicles 32:25-29

In those days Hezekiah was sick and near death. And Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, went to him and said to him, “Thus says the LORD: ‘Set your house in order, for you shall die, and not live.’ “

Then he turned his face toward the wall, and prayed to the LORD, saying,  “Remember now, O LORD, I pray, how I have walked before You in truth and with a loyal heart, and have done what was good in Your sight.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.

And it happened, before Isaiah had gone out into the middle court, that the word of the LORD came to him, saying, “Return and tell Hezekiah the leader of My people, ‘Thus says the LORD, the God of David your father: “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will heal you. On the third day you shall go up to the house of the LORD.  “And I will add to your days fifteen years. I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city for My own sake, and for the sake of My servant David.” ‘ “

Then Isaiah said, “Take a lump of figs.” So they took and laid it on the boil, and he recovered.

And Hezekiah said to Isaiah, “What is the sign that the LORD will heal me, and that I shall go up to the house of the LORD the third day?”

Then Isaiah said, “This is the sign to you from the LORD, that the LORD will do the thing which He has spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten degrees or go backward ten degrees?”

And Hezekiah answered, “It is an easy thing for the shadow to go down ten degrees; no, but let the shadow go backward ten degrees.”

So Isaiah the prophet cried out to the LORD, and He brought the shadow ten degrees backward, by which it had gone down on the sundial of Ahaz. Isaiah 20:1-11

It pays to be righteous and blameless because God hears and answers the prayers of the righteous and saves them from their enemies. His word is true:

I will love You, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised;  So shall I be saved from my enemies.

The pangs of death surrounded me, And the floods of ungodliness made me afraid. The sorrows of Sheol surrounded me; The snares of death confronted me. In my distress I called upon the LORD, And cried out to my God; He heard my voice from His temple, And my cry came before Him, even to His ears. Then the earth shook and trembled; The foundations of the hills also quaked and were shaken, Because He was angry. Smoke went up from His nostrils, And devouring fire from His mouth; Coals were kindled by it. He bowed the heavens also, and came down With darkness under His feet.  And He rode upon a cherub, and flew; He flew upon the wings of the wind. He made darkness His secret place; His canopy around Him was dark waters And thick clouds of the skies.  From the brightness before Him, His thick clouds passed with hailstones and coals of fire.  The LORD thundered from heaven, And the Most High uttered His voice, Hailstones and coals of fire.  He sent out His arrows and scattered the foe, Lightnings in abundance, and He vanquished them. Then the channels of the sea were seen, The foundations of the world were uncovered At Your rebuke, O LORD, At the blast of the breath of Your nostrils.  He sent from above, He took me; He drew me out of many waters. He delivered me from my strong enemy, From those who hated me, For they were too strong for me. They confronted me in the day of my calamity, But the LORD was my support.  He also brought me out into a broad place; He delivered me because He delighted in me. The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; According to the cleanness of my hands He has recompensed me. For I have kept the ways of the LORD, And have not wickedly departed from my God. For all His judgments were before me, And I did not put away His statutes from me. I was also blameless before Him, And I kept myself from my iniquity.  Therefore the LORD has recompensed me according to my righteousness,  According to the cleanness of my hands in His sight. Psalm 18:1-24

Thought For Today: Effect The Change Through Worship!

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you… (Acts 1:8)

There isn’t a thing you can’t change when you worship. The reason a lot of God’s children feel despondent and helpless when they go through difficult situations is that many don’t know how to worship the Lord in those situations.

Life may be replete with challenges and persecutions; however, as Christians, we need to realize that even when we’re going through such, we can still be filled with joy unspeakable and full of glory. Our continuous fellowship with the Lord through songs of worship helps us live in victory every single day.

It’s high time God’s people learnt to praise and sing, and it’s not difficult at all. As you continue in God’s Word, the Holy Spirit will guide you on how to worship through singing and praying. When you find yourself in difficult situations, first consider what the trouble is all about. Then, ask yourself, “Is it self-created or is someone trying to put me down?” For all you know, you may have unwittingly put yourself in that situation.

When you discover the reason behind your problem, then it’s more than “half-solved.” If the problem is you, make the necessary adjustments in your life! If it’s someone else, you can change things as you worship through singing and praying in the spirit. Don’t sit there feeling sorry for yourself; go ahead and effect the necessary changes! Break out in tongues like you’ve never spoken before and rejoice in the spirit. It makes no difference whether the problem was created by you or someone else, you can change it! Remember, your ability, strength, and confidence, are in God. Therefore, refuse to be a victim; learn to worship God all the time through songs and prayers. Hallelujah!

Believe That God Is Your Rewarder

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.  Hebrews 11:6

Most people quote only the first part of Hebrews 11:6 — “without faith it is impossible to please Him”. Yet, it goes on to say, “for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him”. In other words, the faith that pleases God is the kind of faith that believes that God exists and that He is a rewarder.

The Bible also says that “faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”. (Hebrews 11:1) So even in times of difficulty, when we don’t see good things happening in our circumstances, we are to believe that God will turn things around and reward us.

God turned things around for Ruth, the Moabite widow, when she believed the Lord and made Him her God. (Ruth 1:16) The Bible tells us that she was given a “full reward” by the Lord when she came under His wings for refuge. (Ruth 2:12) Not only did He give her protection, He also gave her abundant provision, exceeding favor and a glorious redemption. (Ruth 2:9–17, 3:11, 4:10–13)

When Rahab, the harlot of Jericho, heard reports of how the Lord had opened up the Red Sea for the children of Israel, she believed that “He is God in heaven above and on earth beneath”. (Joshua 2:9–11) Though Rahab had not personally witnessed the miracles, she believed God and hid the Jewish spies from their pursuers. (Joshua 2:4–6) Because of her faith, she not only did not perish with those who did not believe (Joshua 6:25, Hebrews 11:31), but she was also given a place in the “hall of faith” in Hebrews 11.

God was so pleased with the faith of these two Gentile women that He not only blessed them in their lifetimes, but He also put them into the genealogy of His Son Jesus Christ, the great Redeemer and rewarder.

Beloved, when you come to the Lord with your needs, believe that He is God, and that He is a rewarder. God has pleasure in this kind of faith. He wants to be the rewarder of your faith in Him!

Thought For The Day
The faith that pleases God is the kind of faith that believes God exists and that He is a rewarder.
