BE GRACIOUS TO YOU

be graciousThe Mind Of Christ

“For My people have committed two evils: They have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, And hewn themselves cisterns-broken cisterns that can hold no water. Jeremiah 2:13

The word of God tells us that we are called to have the mind of Christ daily and constantly. Hence we are to trust God’s spirit and no other and not other men! God’s word is unchanging:

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.  But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.1 Corinthians 2:12-16

There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots.  The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.  His delight is in the fear of the LORD, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes,  Nor decide by the hearing of His ears;  But with righteousness He shall judge the poor, And decide with equity for the meek of the earth; He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked.  Righteousness shall be the belt of His loins, And faithfulness the belt of His waist. Isaiah 11:1-5

“The Lord GOD has given Me The tongue of the learned, That I should know how to speak A word in season to him who is weary.   He awakens Me morning by morning,  He awakens My ear  To hear as the learned. The Lord GOD has opened My ear;  And I was not rebellious, Nor did I turn away. Isaiah 50:4-5

God is on line to all who care to listen to Him in the early hours of the morning. For those who are attune to the Spirit and walk in God’s ways the Lord gives them the tongue of the learned that they may know how to speak a word in season to him who is wary. He opens their ears to hear as the learned of all that He has to speak to them morning by morning before the bustle, cares, worries and anxiety of life drown things out.

Worries and anxieties are no different than the sins of adultery or sickness; they must be fought against because they rob God’s people access to the voice of God, which is their secret for sweat less triumph. Heaviness, discouragement, or anxiety is a spirit that robs God’s people of His presence, promises and peace and makes them to be a prey in the devil’s hands. Heaviness, discouragement, or anxiety takes them out of their Father’s house (like the prodigal son), and places there where the enemy can flog them. God’s word is unchanging:

“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? “Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?  “Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin;  “and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. “Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?  Matthew 6:25-30

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.  Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy-meditate on these things. Phillipains 4:6-8

For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:12-16

The carnal mind is enmity with God for it cannot please God. The mind is a battlefield which the enemy tries in infiltrate with many things including negative thoughts and dreams. But God’s people can put on the mind of Christ and think and meditate on whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report.  Nature abhors vacuum. Our mind is never on break; it is either charged with concerns of things of this life or overtaken with affection for the kingdom. Rather than being anxious and concerned with the things of this world, it is be concerned with the things of God and of His kingdom, so every other thing can be “added to you.” God’s word is unchanging:

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Matthew  6:33

“But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you. Luke 12:21

Blessed is the man  Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;  But his delight is in the law of the LORD,  And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season,  Whose leaf also shall not wither;  And whatever he does shall prosper. Psalm 1:1-3

Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership.  Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all. Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you. 1 Timothy 4:15

The brain is always engaged, either positively or negatively. All we need to do is to make our choice on what occupies our mind and it should be the word of God. Prosperity is promised to those who delight in the word of God and meditate on it day and night.  When we mediate on something it goes from the realm of the mind which is just usually intellect ascent to the realm of our heart where it becomes faith and moves the mountains out in our lives when it is authoritatively spoken out. Yes, when the word of God is mixed with faith and acted on God’s miracle working power is released to bring about great change. The power in the Word is only released through the process of meditation. Until we ponder on the truth contained in the Word, get an understanding of that Word, and act on it, we cannot display miracles, signs and wonders. God’s word is unchanging:

Your words were found, and I ate them, And Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart; For I am called by Your name, O LORD God of hosts. Jeremiah 15:16

The word meditate means “to consider deeply, to reflect upon, to revolve in the mind.” It is akin to the physical process of food digestion. Food when eaten undergoes three major processes before the nutrients in it can benefit the body. They are: digestion, absorption and assimilation. Often we think that the taste of food in the mouth and its weight in the stomach is all that there is to food. But until these three processes take place, food taken in offers no value to the body.

Similarly, until the Word of God we hear or read is broken down to assimilable forms and we contact the gems in it, our life can not be bettered by it. The meditation process is what breaks down the Word into assimilable forms, equipping us to walk on the highways of the miraculous. It’s the word of God that breaks into pieces the different rocks in our lifes. God’s word is true:

“Give ear, O heavens, and I will speak;  And hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.  Let my teaching drop as the rain, My speech distill as the dew,  As raindrops on the tender herb, And as showers on the grass. For I proclaim the name of the LORD: Ascribe greatness to our God. He is the Rock, His work is perfect; For all His ways are justice, A God of truth and without injustice; Righteous and upright is He. Deuteronomy 32:4

Then David spoke to the LORD the words of this song, on the day when the LORD had delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul. And he said: “The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; The God of my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, My stronghold and my refuge; My Savior, You save me from violence.  I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies. 2 Samuel 22:1-4

“Is not My word like a fire?” says the LORD, “And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces? Jeremiah 23:29

“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock:  “and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. Matthew 7:24-24

WHAT?

20110714
WHY CRY TO GOD WHEN YOU CAN SPEAK TO THE MOUNTAIN AND GET A MIRACLE?

Exodus 14:10 And when Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians marched after them. So they were very afraid, and the children of Israel cried out to the LORD.
11    Then they said to Moses, “Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you so dealt with us, to bring us up out of Egypt?
12    Is this not the word that we told you in Egypt, saying, ‘Let us alone that we may serve the Egyptians’? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than that we should die in the wilderness.”
13And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever.
14    The LORD will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”
15    And the LORD said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward.
16    But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea

MARK 11:20 Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.
21    And Peter, remembering, said to Him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away.”
22    So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God.
23    For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.
24    Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

WE ARE CALLED TO RUN THE RACE AND TO RUN THE RIGHT RACE. DOING ANYTHING BUT THE WILL OF GOD FOR OUR LIVES IS A TOTAL WASTE OF TIME.

GOD MADE THE WORLD OUT OF NOTHING. SO THERE ISN’T A BIG DEAL FOR HIM TO DO SOMETHING GREAT OUT OF US AND OUR LIVES AND TO OUR CIRCUMSTANCES AND MOUNTAINS?

WHEN WE PRAY WE DON’T TALK TO NOBODY. WE TALK TO SOMEBODY! TO GOD ALMIGHTY TO THE KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS, OUR FRIEND AND GOD

AND WE DON’T JUST HAVE OUR SPIRIT WE HAVE THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD UPON US AND THE WISDOM OF GOD

ISAIAH 11:The Reign of Jesse’s Offspring 1 There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots. 2 The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD. 3 His delight is in the fear of the LORD, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears; 4 But with righteousness He shall judge the poor, And decide with equity for the meek of the earth; He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked. 5 Righteousness shall be the belt of His loins, And faithfulness the belt of His waist.

AND WE DON’T JUST HAVE A CARNAL MIND, WE HAVE THE MIND OF CHRIST

1 CORINTHIANS 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. 13 These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. 16 For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.

THE MIND OF CHRIST

bb
We haven’t just had a portion of Christ’s wisdom transferred to us; we have the mind of Christ, the same Holy Spirit that Jesus had, and the power of God to demonstrate our faith:

1 Corinthians 2: 1 And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God.
2 For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.
3 I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling.
4 And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,
5 that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.
6 However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.
7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory,
8 which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
9 But as it is written: ” Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.
11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.

Redeemed From Every Type Of Sickness

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), Galatians 3:13

The One who cleansed lepers, opened blind eyes and made the lame to walk took your sins, sicknesses and every curse when He hung on Calvary’s tree. The curses that were meant for you because of your sins fell on Him instead. He was cursed in your place to redeem you from every curse that comes as a result of breaking God’s laws.

What are these curses? They are listed in Deuteronomy 28. It is a long and detailed list. Don’t get frightened when you read the curses, but rejoice because Christ has redeemed you from every single one of them, including those curses of sicknesses!

Are you stricken with tuberculosis, fever or inflammation? (Deuteronomy 28:22) Christ has redeemed you from every one of these conditions!

Do you have painful boils, tumors or an itch which doctors say cannot be healed? (Deuteronomy 28:27) Christ has redeemed you from every one of these conditions!

Perhaps yours is a serious and prolonged sickness. (Deuteronomy 28:59) It doesn’t matter. Christ has redeemed you from every prolonged sickness!

“Well, Pastor, you have covered tuberculosis, fever, itch… but what about my disease? It is not covered in Deuteronomy 28. Did Jesus forget my disease?”

No, His work is perfect! Look at Deuteronomy 28:61: “Also every sickness and every plague, which is not written in this Book of the Law, will the Lord bring upon you until you are destroyed.” That covers everything. So if Christ has redeemed you from this curse, then He has redeemed you from every type of sickness! I don’t care what new type of sickness the world discovers because Christ has redeemed us from every type of sickness!

Now, if you have a particular sickness, say, “This (name the sickness) is part of the curse of the law. But Galatians 3:13 says that Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law. Therefore, I have been redeemed from (name the sickness)!” Believe and confess that every day, and as surely as Jesus took every curse of sickness, your healing will break forth!

Thought For The Day
As surely as Jesus took every curse of sickness, your healing will break forth!

IDIOTS SAY THEY HAVE THE POWER AND THE BAPTISM OF THE SPIRIT BUT CANNOT DEMONSTRATE IT? HOW COME?

Acts 1:4 And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; 5 for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” 6 Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?”7 And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. 8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Acts 6:8 And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and signs among the people.

Acts 8:5 Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ to them. 6 And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. 7 For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed; and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed.8 And there was great joy in that city.

You Have It, So Say It!

‘For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. Matthew 25:29

Have you come across people who have little, yet even that little is taken away from them? On the other hand, there are those who already have much, yet they receive even more.

Jesus said, “To everyone who has, more will be given. From him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away.” Notice that Jesus doesn’t go on to say what it is we have. He simply says, “But to everyone who has.”

Jesus is talking about a firm belief in God’s Word that gives one the courage to say, “I have it!” If you say that you have it, you have it, and more will be given to you. But if you say that you don’t have it, when you actually do because God has freely given us all things (Romans 8:32), then even what you have will be taken away — not by God but by the devil! The devil does not want you to walk in God’s blessings. So when you say that you don’t have it, he can rob you of your blessings because he has your agreement!

When you need something, God says that you are to ask of Him. And when you ask, believe that you receive it. (Mark 11:24) Say you already have it even if you don’t see it in the physical realm yet, and one day, you will see it!

God is not saying, “Oh come on, pretend that you see it. And if you pretend long enough, you will have it.” This is not a game! God is telling us to call forth those things which don’t exist as though they do. (Romans 4:17)

Today, we are talking about the haves and have-nots in the church. If you believe that it is yours, you will have it. You will see yourself possessing it and enjoying it, and more will be given to you. But if you say, “Well, I don’t feel it and I’m not sure if it will come,” in essence, you are saying that you don’t have it when you actually do. Then, even what you have will be taken away. So say you have it today!

Thought For The Day
If you believe that it is yours, you will have it.

THE RESSURECTION

bc
WITHOUT THE RESURRECTION THE CROSS OF JESUS CHRIST HAD NO VALUE

THE CROSS IS THE ENTRY POINT INTO A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD NOT THE END. IT’S THE BEGINNING OF BETTER THINGS TO COME

EPHESIANS 1:15 Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints,
16 do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers:
17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,
18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,
19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power
20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,
21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.
22 And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church,
23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

EPHESIANS 3:14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man,
17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height —
19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,
21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

DEATH AND THE GRAVE COULD NOT STOP GOD

JESUS RANSOMED HIS BLOOD FOR ALL THAT THE DEVIL HAD STOLEN FROM MANKIND. OUR FATHERS HEART AND INTENTIONS FOR US FROM BEFORE THE BEGINNING OF TIME WERE ALL RETURNED IN FULL. PLUS OUR ETERNAL SALVATION WITH HIM IN HEAVEN.

BUT PEOPLE ARE STILL STUCK ON THE FACT THAT THEY DIDN’T EARN OR DESERVE IT. TRUE. BUT, JESUS DID AND HE FREELY GAVE IT ALL TO US BY GODS GRACE. PEOPLE HAVE TO LOOK PAST THEMSELVES AND LOOK TO JESUS FINISHED WORKS ON THE CROSS

WE DON’T REALIZE THE FULLNESS OR NOT IN OUR HEARTS…. THAT IS WHY PEOPLE DON’T ACCESS WHAT GOD HAS ALREADY FREELY GIVEN TO THEM BY HIS GRACE.

THE DEVIL WANTS US TO FOCUS ON OURSELVES….NOT BEING WORTHY. BUT, GOD WANT US TO FOCUS ON WHAT HE HAS ALREADY PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM

WE FOCUS TOO MUCH ON OUR OWN SHORT COMINGS AND NOT ENOUGH ON GOD’S PERFECTION AND COMPLETION.

WE CAN NEVER ATTAIN THAT IN AND OF OUR SELVES. THE ENEMY KNOWS THAT AND WANTS US TO FOCUS ON THE WRONG THINGS INCLUDING ON MEN

THERE IS TOO MUCH NOISE IN LIFE SOMETIMES. WE JUST HAVE TO GO TO OUR QUIET PLACE ALONE WITH GOD. TO HEAR HS VOICE ALONE! AT THE END OF THE DAY….THAT IS THE ONLY VOICE THAT IS IMPORTANT AND SIGNIFICANT FOR OUR LIVES.

ENEMY LIKES TO KEEP US BUSY AND DISTRACTED. GOD WANT US TO BE QUIET AND REST IN HIS FINISHED WORK

GOD WANT TO RAISE US UP TO HIS HEAVENLY PLACES IN THE SPIRIT REALM. OUR SAVIOR JESUS HAS PROVIDED ACCESS…CHRIST IS THE DOORWAY TO THE FATHER AND THE HOLY SPIRIT SHOWERS US WITH ALL OF THE SPIRITUAL THINGS OF GOD. JACOBS LADDER, WHEN THE ANGELS CAME DOWN FROM HEAVEN TO JACOB AND BACK UP OVER AND OVER. THAT IS WHAT THE HOLY SPIRIT DOES FOR US TODAY

GOD KNOWS ALL THAT WE NEED AND ALL THAT HE HAS FOR US TO ACCOMPLISH IN OUR LIVES FOR HIS KINGDOM….EACH OF US DIFFERENTLY. HIS HOLY SPIRIT PROVIDE ALL THINGS. THAT IS WHY IT IS OF THE UTMOST IMPORTANCE THAT WE PRAY IN THE HOLY SPIRIT TO ALLOW GOD TO ACCOMPLISH HIS WILL FOR OUR LIVES AND ALL IN THE EARTH HE HAS ALREADY PREORDAINED AND PREDESTINED US FOR.

IT IS NOT ABOUT US….. IT IS ALL ABOUT THE KINGDOM OF GOD. WE ARE MERE INSTRUMENTS….JESUS HANDS AND FEET TO REACH THE LOST AND BRING THEM TO THE FATHER.

‘I AM WHO I AM’

And God said to Moses, “I am who I am.”… – Exodus 3:14

Whatever your challenge is today, whether it is physical, emotional, financial or marital, the great I Am declares to you: “I am to you what you need Me to be.”

Do you need healing? He says, “I am the Lord who heals you. (Exodus 15:26) And as you believe Me, you will see your healing manifest thirtyfold, sixtyfold and a hundredfold.”

Are you groping in the dark, not knowing what to do? He says, “I am the light of the world. (John 8:12) When you walk in Me, you will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Are you looking for a way out of a bad situation? He says, “I am your deliverer. I will reach down from on high, take hold of your hand and draw you out of the deep waters.” (Psalm 18:2, 16)

Are you wondering if there is more to life than merely existing from day to day? He says, “I am the resurrection and the life. (John 11:25) I came to give you life. And where there is life, there cannot be death. You will have life and life more abundantly.” (John 10:10)

Are you fearful of what is ahead of you? He says, “I am the good shepherd (John 10:11), who leads you to pastures of tender, green grass and waters of rest. You will not suffer lack.” (Psalm 23:1–3)

Are you confused by the opinions and reports of man? He says, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last. (Revelation 1:11) I have the final word in your life. The doctors do not have the final word. The experts do not have the final word. I have the first word and the last word in your situation.”

My friend, do not be fearful of the problems you face. The great I Am declares to you, “Fear not! For I am to you what you need Me to be!”

Thought For The Day :
God declares to you, “I am to you what you need Me to be.”

Heart to Heart

For who has known or understood the mind (the counsels and purposes) of the Lord so as to guide and instruct [Him] and give Him knowledge? But we have the mind of Christ, the Messiah, and do hold the thoughts (feelings and purposes) of His heart. – 1 Corinthians 2:16

Isn’t it exciting to realize that you can hold the thoughts and feelings and purposes of God’s very own heart in your heart? Isn’t it thrilling to know the Creator of heaven and earth wants to be one spirit with you and transmit His thoughts to your mind?

First Corinthians 6:17 says that when you were joined to the Lord you became one spirit with Him. He came into union with you so that He can talk to you heart to heart. God wants you in this harmony with Him so that His thoughts can become your actions. He wants you to walk so closely with Him that you never lack power to overcome the evil of this world. He wants you to be so in tune with His Spirit that you are able to feel His heart of compassion toward those around you who are hurting or bowed down with sickness and pain. He wants to be one with you, so He can reach out through your hands and fulfill His purposes in the earth.

Make a fresh commitment today to walk in union with your God. Give your attention to His Spirit in your inner man. Determine to yield to His voice and not to the voices of the world or the flesh!

Allow the mind of Christ to flow through you!

THE ANTECEDENTS OF TRUE REVIVAL

“Behold, I send My messenger, And he will prepare the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, Will suddenly come to His temple, Even the Messenger of the covenant, In whom you delight. Behold, He is coming,” Says the LORD of hosts.” (Malachi 3:1 NKJV)

History has clearly taught us that true revivals don’t happen arbitrarily or randomly. No generation in the past has ever experienced a mighty move of God by chance. If any generation desires God’s overwhelming presence, it must prepare the way for God. God is not an intruder or gatecrasher who will force His way into our affairs when not invited or wanted.

It is our responsibility to prepare the way before the Lord and seek Him with all our hearts, and when we do, the Lord will not fail to come to His temple, the Church. The Scripture states: “Behold, I send My messenger, And he will prepare the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple, Even the Messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight. Behold, He is coming,” Says the LORD of hosts.” (Mal. 3:1 NKJV). “And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” (Jer. 29:13 NKJV). If we fail to prepare the way before God and seek God wholeheartedly, we may not experience true revival in our generation.

In the first part of this piece we began to examine the antecedents of revival, that is, the important things that we need to know or do before we can expect true revival to break forth in our generation. We are examining some vital issues that our Lord Jesus Christ raised with His disciples on His way to Bethany to raise Lazarus from the dead, for “whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.” (Rom. 15:4 NKJV).

First, the Lord would have us to know why today’s Church is spiritual sick and weak. It is a must for us to know from where we have fallen. Jesus said: “Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works…” (Rev. 2:5 NKJV). We must acknowledge that it is our refusal to abide in Christ – the true vine and to continue steadfastly in the teachings of Christ that has debilitated us spiritually. God said: “I will return again to My place till they acknowledge their offense. Then they will seek My face; In their affliction they will earnestly seek Me.” (Hos. 5:15 NKJV).

Second, the Lord would also want us to be assured of His unwavering and everlasting love for His Church notwithstanding her unfaithfulness and backsliding. Nothing can ever separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus (Rom. 8:38-39). On His way to Bethany, Jesus reiterated His love for Lazarus, saying to His disciples: “Our friend Lazarus sleeps, but I go that I may wake him up.” (John 11:11 NKJV). Anyone who does not love the Church in spite of her present disheartening condition cannot be employed by the Lord for her revival and restoration.
Let us further examine some important antecedents of revival.

Third, the Lord would have us to accurately see, know and understand the exact present condition of the Church. While the Lord Jesus drew near Bethany to revive Lazarus, He began to help His disciples to see and understand the exact present condition of Lazarus, for they had thought that Lazarus was just sleeping.

The Scripture reveals: “These things He said, and after that He said to them, “Our friend Lazarus sleeps, but I go that I may wake him up.” Then His disciples said, “Lord, if he sleeps he will get well.” However, Jesus spoke of his death, but they thought that He was speaking about taking rest in sleep. Then Jesus said to them plainly, “Lazarus is dead.” (John 11:11-14 NKJV).

Like the undiscerning Disciples of Christ on their way to Bethany, many believers today are completely ignorant of the true spiritual and moral state of today’s Church. Such ones need to cry to the Lord to anoint their eyes with eye salve so they can see as the Lord sees (Rev. 3:18). Like the Laodicea church, the Church today is boasting, saying, “I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’ –and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked. “(Rev. 3:17 NKJV).

We are certainly not yet ready for true revival if we continue to take pride in our large congregations which are largely spiritually immature, carnal or sensual, or in our gigantic cathedrals and imposing edifices void of God’s presence, or in our material prosperity at the expense of our spiritual prosperity.

Many believers are at ease in Zion because they are undiscerning and oblivious of her corruption and ruins. You cannot see today’s Church as the Lord sees her and your heart will not be burdened to passionately and continuously cry out to the Lord to purge His Church and revive her again. Like Ezekiel, your eyes need to be opened to see beyond the superficial growth and prosperity of today’s Church before you can be one of God’s revival partners in this generation (Eze. 8:5-10).

Lastly, having helped them to understand the exact present state of Lazarus, the Lord Jesus now said to His disciples, “Nevertheless let us go to him.” (John 11:15 NKJV). Until you also begin to see as the Lord sees, you cannot be His partner in revival. Although revival is primarily the Lord’s work, yet He seeks for suitable men to bring into partnership with Him for revival. When they set out on their journey to Bethany, Jesus expressly declared His intention: “Our friend Lazarus sleeps, but I go that I may wake him up.” (John 11:11 NKJV).

It is the Spirit of the Lord who quickens, revives or gives life (John 6:63, 2 Cor. 3:6). However, the Lord always loves to work in us, with us, and through us. Although it was the Lord Jesus, the Resurrection and the Life, who raised Lazarus from the dead by His voice, yet He had some works for His disciples to do. First, the Lord asked them to take away the huge stone that had been laid against the mouth of the cave before He called Lazarus to come forth (John 11:39). Second, after calling Lazarus forth from the dead, the Lord said to His disciples, “Loose him, and let him go.” (John 11:44 NKJV).

Beloved, although it is the Lord alone who can revive today’s spiritually dead Church, yet He is seeking for partners or vessels that He could work with, work in and work through. The Spirit of God is calling into partnership with God for revival the believers whose eyes the Lord has opened, having anointed their eyes with eye salve so that they may accurately see the ongoing spiritual and moral corruption and degeneration in the Church and be burdened to cry out to the Lord for the revival and healing of His Church.

The Lord is also seeking for concerned and compassionate believers that He will empower and embolden to take away every “stone” that the wicked hirelings or spiritual undertakers in our generation have laid against “the caves” they had constructed to keep the sheep of God in perpetual bondage. The Lord is presently recruiting men and women who will wield the sharp “Sword of the Spirit” to cut and loose the grave clothes the greedy hirelings or spiritual undertakers have used to wrap the face, bind the hands and feet of God’s sheep in their caves. Friend, would you be one of God’s revival partners in this generation? Let the Lord know your response now!

Prayer: My Dear Lord Jesus Christ, I want to be Your partner in the revival of Your Church. Anoint my eyes with eye salve that I may begin to see as You see. Dear Holy Spirit, strengthen me to wait patiently upon the Lord to receive His divine instructions and orders and to carry them out promptly and completely, in Jesus’ name. Amen

THE MIND OF CHRIST

FI The Mind Of Christ?

And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. 1 Corinthians 2:1-5

One of the reasons most Christians churches are dead, anemic and impotent and devoid of much people and power is because of the one man “pastor,” the man of the hour, all words and no power! Religious and political leaders have always been deceiving their hearers by their eloquent words devoid of life, truth and power. Yes, the preaching in most churches has been with persuasive words of human wisdom, and not demonstration of the Spirit and of power, lest our faith should in the power of God and not in in the wisdom of men. And the reason why the hearers are dumb and foolish is because they have rejected the person of the Holy Spirit and the wisdom and counsel that He gives and have substituted it all for the words and wisdom of men. God’s word is unchanging:

“For My people have committed two evils: They have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, And hewn themselves cisterns-broken cisterns that can hold no water. Jeremiah 2:13

However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:10-16

Carnal ones who behave like mere men with their envy, strife, heresies, outbursts and divisions don’t have the mind of Christ. They do not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to them; nor can they know the things that have been freely given to us by God, because they are spiritually discerned. Hence because they have received the spirit of the world that is in the son of disobedience and not the Spirit who is from God, they speak in words which man’s wisdom teaches and not which the Holy Spirit teaches. They cannot compare spiritual things with spiritual because they are blind and deaf ones who cannot see or hear the things of the Spirit. Yet God’s word is unchanging about the responsibility of the true shepherd:

And the word of the LORD came to me, saying, “Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD to the shepherds: “Woe to the shepherds of Israel who feed themselves! Should not the shepherds feed the flocks? “You eat the fat and clothe yourselves with the wool; you slaughter the fatlings, but you do not feed the flock. “The weak you have not strengthened, nor have you healed those who were sick, nor bound up the broken, nor brought back what was driven away, nor sought what was lost; but with force and cruelty you have ruled them. “So they were scattered because there was no shepherd; and they became food for all the beasts of the field when they were scattered. “My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and on every high hill; yes, My flock was scattered over the whole face of the earth, and no one was seeking or searching for them.” Ezekiel 34:6

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. “But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them. “The hireling flees because he is a hireling and does not care about the sheep. “I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own. John 10:10-14

“Therefore I testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all men. “For I have not shunned to declare to you the whole counsel of God. “Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood. “For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock. 0 “Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves. “Therefore watch, and remember that for three years I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears. “So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified. “I have coveted no one’s silver or gold or apparel. “Yes, you yourselves know that these hands have provided for my necessities, and for those who were with me. “I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ” Acts 20:26-35

True shepherds not only lay down their lives for the sheep but they heal the sick, they strengthened sick, bind up the broken, bring back what was driven away, seek what was lost and not rule with force and cruelty. They shepherd the flock of God which is among them serving as overseers, not by compulsion but willingly, not for dishonest gain but eagerly; nor as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock; be submissive to one another and clothed with humility just like Chief Shepherd was and is, who washed the feet of the disciples. God’s word is unchanging:

So when He had washed their feet, taken His garments, and sat down again, He said to them, “Do you know what I have done to you? “You call me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am. “If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. “For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you. “Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him. “If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them. John 13:12-17

Jesus Christ, King of Kings, Lord of Lords rose from supper, laid aside His garments, took a towel and girded Himself.Yes, He took off His robes and all He wore was the servant’s towel. He took a basin of water, looking like an ordinary servant, came to His disciples’ feet, took off their sandals, start wiping and washing their feet and the disciples were stunned. He didn’t just wash one or two, but all – all their feet, no exception, even Judas’ feet too. Judas was still there! After Jesus completed it, He explained to them – Do you know what I have done to you? You call me Teacher and Lord and you say well, for so, I am. If I, then, your Lord and Teacher have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. Jesus was telling them that He would them apostles; He give them authority as apostles – a head of all the ministries. And Jesus said, For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you. “Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him. “If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them. Jesus wanted the disciples to always have an attitude of a servant even though He would give them great power. He didn’t establish “the ministry of washing feet” but they would have a servant’s spirit among them. And so Jesus Christ is also telling us to receive the positions of God, to receive the graces and authority of God and to receive the spirit of a servant. God’s word is unchanging:

But Jesus called them to Himself and said to them, “You know that those who are considered rulers over the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them. “Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant. “And whoever of you desires to be first shall be slave of all. “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” Mark 10:42-45

THE MIND OF CHRIST

LOVEThe Mind Of Christ
