palms If You Have Been Given a Negative Report
Larry Ollison

The world is full of negative reports. It seems that everywhere you go, there is someone telling you, “You won’t make it.” “You can’t win.” “God doesn’t want to heal you.” “Faith doesn’t work,” etc. The world does not want you to make it. But here’s the good news. God does!

God’s Word is positive. His Word tells us in Psalm 103:3 that He heals all our diseases and in Psalm 34:19, His Word says, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.”

When some people hear a negative report, they become discouraged. God does not want us to become discouraged. He wants us to believe Him. He wants us to believe that He will deliver us like He said He would. He wants us to trust in Him so He can perform His Word in our lives.

Discouragement is a combination of fear, depression, and a lack of hope. We could almost call it “anti-faith.” Discouragement is not from God and He does not want you to have it. When we are discouraged, we do not function in the spirit realm the way God wants us to. When we are discouraged, it becomes difficult to hear God and easier to listen to the discouraging words of the world.

Listen to this. When the Hebrews left Egypt under the leadership of Moses, God told them that if they would go into the Promised Land, He would fight all their battles for them.

When they reached the Promised Land, they sent out twelve spies and when the spies returned, they all gave their reports. The spies did not all agree. Two of the spies gave a positive, encouraging report and ten spies gave a negative, discouraging report.

At that point, the people had a choice. Which report would they believe? Would they believe the report of the majority or would they believe God’s promise? Would they go by what they saw or would they go by what God said? Well, sadly, the people chose to believe the negative report instead of the positive report. The Bible says the people had become discouraged because of the negative report and decided not to enter into the land God had for them.

Today many Christians are doing the same thing. Because they choose to believe the negative report of the world and to believe what they see and hear, instead of believing what God promised, they miss many blessings God has set aside for those who believe.

Jesus said in Mark 16:17, “These signs shall follow those who believe.” He didn’t say these signs shall follow those who doubt, fear, or worry. He said, “These sign shall follow those who believe.” Who are those who believe? They are the ones who believe that God will do what He said He would do. They have total trust, belief, and faith in Him.

Hebrews 11:6 says, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” In order to receive from God, we must believe Him and His Word.

So, today let me say this. If you have just been given a negative, discouraging report, you have a choice to make. Do you believe the evil report or do you believe God? Do you put your belief in what you see or do you put your faith in what God says?

Remember, what 2 Corinthians 5:7 says: “For we walk by faith and not by sight.

blessed

IT’S  YOUR CHOICE ALL THE BLESSINGS OR ALL THE CURSES

Deuteronomy 28:
1 “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth.
2 And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God:
3 “Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country.
4 “Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks.
5 “Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl.
6 “Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.

15 “But it shall come to pass, if you do not obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you:
16 “Cursed shall you be in the city, and cursed shall you be in the country.
17 “Cursed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl.
18 “Cursed shall be the fruit of your body and the produce of your land, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks.
19 “Cursed shall you be when you come in, and cursed shall you be when you go out.
20 “The LORD will send on you cursing, confusion, and rebuke in all that you set your hand to do, until you are destroyed and until you perish quickly, because of the wickedness of your doings in which you have forsaken Me.

Some people are really stupid in that they do things wrong and expect things to turn out right which is impossible. The Word of God by which heaven and earth were established, are created and are sustained,  promises blessings or curses on whether you obey or disobey the voice of God.  But if you are not born again by the Spirit of God, filled with the Spirit of God with the evidence of speaking in tongues you cannot hear properly the voice of God never mind operate in the gifts of the Spirit which are always flowing from the Christ who lives in true believers. You cannot deny the word of God and have true success in life for God’s word is unchanging:
And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. “He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.  “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; “they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.  And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen. Mark 16:16-20

So the disobedient ones, rebels, unbelievers and fools are doomed to die in the wilderness of their own choosing because they have willfully disobeyed and not heeded the word of God in Deuteronomy 28 and Mark 16 and have no one to blame but themselves for all the curses that have come and will come upon them!

IF YOU DON’T BELIEVE..

Jesus Christ, God Almighty, warned the arrogant unbelieving  scribes and Pharisees “if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.” Yes there are real consequences in life for not believing Jesus including dying in your sins, not getting healed from a sickness or disease, not getting delivered from familiar spirits, not receiving financial miracles, not getting a breakthrough in prayer and not seeing mountains being moved into the sea! All of these negative consequences because people refuse to believe God almighty and look to Him to meet every need that they have be it physical, spiritual or financial!

John 8:21 Then Jesus said to them again, “I am going away, and you will seek Me, and will die in your sin. Where I go you cannot come.”
22 So the Jews said, “Will He kill Himself, because He says, ‘Where I go you cannot come’?”
23 And He said to them, “You are from beneath; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world.
24 Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.”
25 Then they said to Him, “Who are You?” And Jesus said to them, “Just what I have been saying to you from the beginning.

Mark 9:14 And when He came to the disciples, He saw a great multitude around them, and scribes disputing with them.
15 Immediately, when they saw Him, all the people were greatly amazed, and running to Him, greeted Him.
16 And He asked the scribes, “What are you discussing with them?”
17 Then one of the crowd answered and said, “Teacher, I brought You my son, who has a mute spirit.
18  And wherever it seizes him, it throws him down; he foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth, and becomes rigid. So I spoke to Your disciples, that they should cast it out, but they could not.”
19 He answered him and said, “O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him to Me.”
20 Then they brought him to Him. And when he saw Him, immediately the spirit convulsed him, and he fell on the ground and wallowed, foaming at the mouth.
21 So He asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?” And he said, “From childhood.
22 And often he has thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.”
23 Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
24 Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”
25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out of him and enter him no more!”
26 Then the spirit cried out, convulsed him greatly, and came out of him. And he became as one dead, so that many said, “He is dead.”
27 But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him up, and he arose.
28 And when He had come into the house, His disciples asked Him privately, “Why could we not cast it out?”
29 So He said to them, “This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting.”

WHAT’S YOUR PROBLEM?

IT ONLY REQUIRED SEVEN DAYS TO GO FROM EGYPT TO THE PROMISED LAND BUT THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL SPEND 40 YEARS IN THE WILDERNESS DUE TO THEIR UNBELIEF AND REBELLION EVEN THOUGH GOD WAS STILL GOOD AND A MIRACLE WORKER.

SO IF YOU ARE STILL LIVING IN THE WILDERNESS AND ARE NOT GETTING ANY MIRACLES DON’T BLAME GOD BUT CHECK OUT WHAT YOU ARE DOING WRONG

IN ORDER TO SOLVE A PROBLEM THE FIRST STEP IS TO ADMIT YOU HAVE ONE! DENYING THAT YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WILL NEVER SOLVE IT!

1 John 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

YOUR CHOICE

a bronze wallVictory or Defeat Comes From God

Therefore David blessed the LORD before all the assembly; and David said: “Blessed are You, LORD God of Israel, our Father, forever and ever.  Yours, O LORD, is the greatness, The power and the glory, The victory and the majesty;  For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours;  Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, And You are exalted as head over all.  Both riches and honor come from You, And You reign over all.  In Your hand is power and might; In Your hand it is to make great And to give strength to all. Yours, O LORD, is the greatness, The power and the glory, The victory and the majesty; For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, And You are exalted as head over all. 1 Chronicles 29:10-12

“The LORD kills and makes alive; He brings down to the grave and brings up.  The LORD makes poor and makes rich; He brings low and lifts up. He raises the poor from the dust And lifts the beggar from the ash heap,  To set them among princes And make them inherit the throne of glory. “For the pillars of the earth are the LORD’S, And He has set the world upon them.  He will guard the feet of His saints, But the wicked shall be silent in darkness. “For by strength no man shall prevail. The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken in pieces; From heaven He will thunder against them. The LORD will judge the ends of the earth.  “He will give strength to His king, And exalt the horn of His anointed.” 1 Samuel 2:6-10

Salvation, healing, deliverance, miracles and victories come from God and not from men or their different methods.  And David knew this to be true and he would most of time inquire of the LORD as to what to do about His enemies and the Lord would tell him including “Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?” And He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.” (1 Samuel 30:8). Then the Philistines went up once again and deployed themselves in the Valley of Rephaim. Therefore David inquired of the LORD, and He said, “You shall not go up; circle around behind them, and come upon them in front of the mulberry trees.  “And it shall be, when you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry trees, then you shall advance quickly. For then the LORD will go out before you to strike the camp of the Philistines.”  And David did so, as the LORD commanded him; and he drove back the Philistines from Geba as far as Gezer. (2 Samuel 5:22-25)

Yes David, just like Hannah knew from experience, that The LORD kills and makes alive; He brings down to the grave and brings up. He brings low and lifts up. The LORD makes poor and makes rich; He brings low and lifts up. They knew for by strength no man shall prevail. The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken in pieces; from heaven He will thunder against them.

So obviously if anyone doesn’t inquire from the LORD He will not have victory. But unfortunately for many Christians they are not hearing from the LORD but from deceiving spirits as they have no real discernment as they are not praying in the Spirit!

And you can pray until you drop dead but if God says no you will not have your desired answer because God looks at and deals with the heart of man and not just his words and deeds!  Both Judas and Peter betrayed Jesus but Judas was not forgiven while Peter was.  We see this in the statements Jesus made about these men:

“The Son of Man indeed goes just as it is written of Him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had never been born.” Mark 14:21

And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat.  “But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.”  But he said to Him, “Lord, I am ready to go with You, both to prison and to death.” Then He said, “I tell you, Peter, the rooster shall not crow this day before you will deny three times that you know Me.” Luke 22:31-34

“Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are. “While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled. John 17:11-12

And God also sees your motives and the evil people you associate just like He saw and knew about Korah:

Now it came to pass, as he finished speaking all these words, that the ground split apart under them,  and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up, with their households and all the men with Korah, with all their goods.  So they and all those with them went down alive into the pit; the earth closed over them, and they perished from among the assembly.  Then all Israel who were around them fled at their cry, for they said, “Lest the earth swallow us up also!”  And a fire came out from the LORD and consumed the two hundred and fifty men who were offering incense. Numbers 16:31-35

But I want to remind you, though you once knew this, that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe. Jude 1:5

Woe to them! For they have gone in the way of Cain, have run greedily in the error of Balaam for profit, and perished in the rebellion of Korah. These are spots in your love feasts, while they feast with you without fear, serving only themselves. They are clouds without water, carried about by the winds; late autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, pulled up by the roots; raging waves of the sea, foaming up their own shame; wandering stars for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever. Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, “to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.”  These are grumblers, complainers, walking according to their own lusts; and they mouth great swelling words, flattering people to gain advantage. Jude 1:11-16

If God says “woe to you” because you are a grumbler, complainer, walking according to  your  own lusts you are in deep trouble and require immediate totally repentance or else your due reward will be destructive? God’s word is true:

“But woe to you who are rich, For you have received your consolation.

Woe to you who are full, For you shall hunger. Woe to you who laugh now, For you shall mourn and weep.

Woe to you when all men speak well of you, For so did their fathers to the false prophets. Luke 6:24-26

“But woe to you Pharisees! For you tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass by justice and the love of God. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone.

“Woe to you Pharisees! For you love the best seats in the synagogues and greetings in the marketplaces.

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like graves which are not seen, and the men who walk over them are not aware of them.” Luke 11:42-44

Jesus the epitome of love and character didn’t go around blessing people with words. He didn’t bless the religious and political leaders of His day but cursed them. ‘Woe to you’ doesn’t mean something good is going to happen to you.  He called them all kinds of names including hypocrites, murderers, serpents, brood of vipers, liars, blind guides, sons of hell, etc. He told them they would not escape the condemnation of hell (Matthew 23:15, 33, Luke 11:24-25, 23:38-31) and they didn’t!

The bible tells us what when God spoke as a result of His word heaven and earth came into existence? In other words, when God speaks a miracle happens? But not all of God’s miracles are positive ones as Pharaoh and his mighty army can testify when God parted the Red Sea and closed it on His enemies! When Jesus spoke miracles also happened because He is God. So what happened when Jesus spoke to the false ones of His day and our day and said “Woe to you?” They died in the judgments that followed in 70 A.D. at the hands of God’s other ministers, the Romans, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil (Romans 13:4).

But when it came to the poor and needy Jesus attitude and approach to such as these was completely different.  The bible says of Jesus ‘A bruised reed He will not break, And smoking flax He will not quench, Till He sends forth justice to victory; And in His name Gentiles will trust’ (Matthew 12:20-21). He demonstrated His love for them by His miracle deeds. He healed the blind and cleansed the lepers. He was and is very kind and compassionate towards those who are poor and needy and need a miracle. When he saw a bereaving widow whose only son had died, he had compassion and brought the son back to life and presented him to his mother (Luke 7:12-15). When He saw a great multitude, He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick (Matthew 9:36, 14:14). When the blind men asked for healing, He had compassion and touched their eyes. And immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed Him (Matthew 20:30-34).

Yes, Jesus Christ loved the poor and didn’t cast them aside like others have done. He healed their sick, cleansed their lepers, raised their dead, and cast out their demons. But he didn’t have nice things to say to the rich and powerful even if it was King Herod. The bible records:

On that very day some Pharisees came, saying to Him, “Get out and depart from here, for Herod wants to kill You.”  And He said to them, “Go, tell that fox, ‘Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.’ Luke 13:31-32

Jesus Christ was not and never will be a respecter of persons and doesn’t show partiality to any one including the rich and mighty. As a matter of fact the Word of God’s tells us it’s sin to show partiality and to be a respecter of persons. God’s word is unchanging:

My brethren, do not hold the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with partiality.  For if there should come into your assembly a man with gold rings, in fine apparel, and there should also come in a poor man in filthy clothes,  and you pay attention to the one wearing the fine clothes and say to him, “You sit here in a good place,”  and say to the poor man, “You stand there,” or, “Sit here at my footstool,” have you not shown partiality among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts?

Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?  But you have dishonored the poor man. Do not the rich oppress you and drag you into the courts? Do they not blaspheme that noble name by which you are called?  If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well;  but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors.  For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. For He who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.” Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law.

So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty.  For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment. James 2:1-13

YOUR CHOICE

20101029
WHICH RIGHTEOUS MAN DO YOU WANT TO BE?

Genesis 24:1 – Now Abraham was old, well advanced in age; and the Lord had blessed Abraham in all things.

The Bible says that Abraham was righteous. But do you know that his nephew Lot was righteous too? (2 Peter 2:78) Yet, both men lived very different lives. Although they both lived under Gods grace some 400 years before the law was given, Abraham was very blessed, whereas Lot lost a lot!

Both men had large herds and flocks. When their herdsmen started quarrelling over space, Abraham took the initiative to make peace. He even let Lot pick the lands that he wanted. Both men were righteous, but one was more gracious than the other.

Lot picked the well-watered plain of Jordan, where the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah were. He dwelt there and pitched his tent as far as Sodom. Eventually, he lived in Sodom. Now, Sodom and Gomorrah in the Bible represent a sinful lifestyle. Some Christians think, Since I am righteous by faith and under Gods grace, I can live a sinful lifestyle.

Well, lets learn from Lot. He first saw Sodom, then his feet walked toward it and finally he went into it. I like what a great man of God said: Sin will take you farther than you want to go, keep you longer than you want to stay and cost you more than you want to pay. What did Lot end up paying?

He was captured when four kings plundered Sodom and Gomorrah. And even after Abraham rescued him with the help of God, he did not learn his lesson. He went back to Sodom. Some Christians live from one bail-out to another. God delivers them from, say, debt, and they go right back to borrowing money or gambling! Sodom and Gomorrah were eventually destroyed. Lot escaped with only the clothes on his back and even lost his wife in the process.

Beloved, you are the righteousness of God in Christ. When you truly understand what Jesus did to make you the righteousness of God, it will cause you to fall out of love with sin and fall in love with God. Then, it will not be hard to have a heart for God, as Abraham did, and like Abraham, be blessed in all things!

 DON’T FEAR THE FAMINE

Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you. – Isaiah 60:1–2

Do you believe that you can experience the most increase when the world is experiencing famine?

My friend, famines have been around since the time of the Old Testament patriarchs. But the good news is that God always takes good care of His people. Abraham had more than enough during a time of famine. His son, Isaac, had enough to sow during a time of famine and reaped a hundredfold. In fact, Isaac began to experience the most abundant increase and provision during the time of famine.

That’s God’s style. All glory goes to Him when you and your loved ones are provided for during a famine. Beloved, fear not, but be confident and assured that Jesus will lead you into new levels of success and blessings. He will cause you to experience a hundredfold increase even when the world is in famine.

“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand]. I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust!” (Psalm 91:1, 2, AMP).

There is a secret place in which we can remain safe in God. We can stay stable and fixed when we trust Him and His promises at all times.

HYPOCRISY IS AN ATTITUDE

And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted. – Matthew 23:12

He who thinks that he will be exalted by acting as a servant, pretending to be humble so that he will receive the promise of God’s Word, is sadly mistaken. Hypocrisy is an attitude or motive.

There are two main types of hypocrisy: 1) People don’t practice what they preach. 2) People’s motives are wrong even though their actions are right.

The second type of hypocrisy is why Jesus rebuked the scribes and Pharisees.

It is more subtle than the first type and is very prevalent today in religion. They were seeking self-glory instead of seeking to glorify God.

Their priorities are wrong, and their focus is on outward displays instead of on the inner condition of their heart. Furthermore, they always persecute the true worshipers of God.

Universally, people dislike blatant hypocrisy; although this subtle type of hypocrisy has been encouraged and even promoted by religion. Religion teaches tithing and giving for selfish motives while 1 Corinthians 13:3 and 2 Corinthians 9:7, make it clear that giving will profit us nothing unless we have the proper motive. The same thing happens when people try to achieve holiness by performing many other religious acts. It is not always the acts that are wrong, but the motives behind the acts. These wrong motives can also make you a hypocrite.

Anyone who rejects salvation because he doesn’t like religious hypocrites, should remember that if he doesn’t receive Jesus as his Lord, then he will spend eternity with these hypocrites in Hell.

CLOSE THE DOOR ON FEAR

And do not give the Devil an opportunity to work – Ephesians 4:27, ISV

So many people today are living with less than God’s best because they’ve allowed fear to creep in and take root in their lives. Fear is the greatest weapon the enemy uses to try to hold us back. Fear is not from God. Scripture tells us that fear brings torment. It’s designed to paralyze us and keep us from God’s blessings.

The good news is that God is greater than fear. His power in you is greater than any power that comes against you. But in order to walk in His power, you have to close the door on the enemy of fear. The enemy can’t have access to your life unless you open a door and give him access. That’s why we have to be careful about what we watch, what we listen to, what we read, and what we say. When we open ourselves to fear, we give the enemy opportunity.

If you’ve allowed fear to steal from you in any area of life, today you can be free — you can be finished with fear! It starts by receiving God’s love and meditating on His promises. Meditate on His truth and speak His truth which sets you free! Surround yourself in God’s love and let Him lead you into victory as you close the door on fear.

EVERY HARDSHIP

My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness. —2 Corinthians 12:9

Like many towns, Enterprise, Alabama, has a prominent monument. But the monument in Enterprise is unlike any other. The statue doesn’t recognize a leading citizen; it celebrates the work of a beetle. In the early 1900s, this boll weevil made its way from Mexico to the southern US. Within a few years it had destroyed entire crops of cotton, the primary source of revenue. In desperation, farmers started growing another crop—peanuts. Realizing they had been dependent on one crop for too long, they credited the beetle with forcing them to diversify, which led to increased prosperity.

The boll weevil is like things that come into our lives and destroy what we have worked hard to accomplish. Devastation results—sometimes financial, emotional, or physical—and it is frightening. We witness the end of life as we know it. But as the people of Enterprise learned, the loss of what is old is an opportunity to discover something new. God may use hardship to get us to give up a bad habit or learn a new virtue. He used a thorn in Paul’s flesh to teach him about grace (2 Cor. 12:7-9).
Instead of striving to preserve old habits that are no longer effective, we can view every hardship as an opportunity for God to cultivate a new virtue in us.

O much-tried saint, with fainting heart,
The thorn with its abiding pain,
With all its wearing, ceaseless ache,
Can be the means of priceless gain.

God often uses bitter experiences to make us better.

NO BURDEN …

For the [true] love of God is this, that we do His commands–keep His ordinances and are mindful of His precepts and teaching. And these orders of His are not irksome–burdensome, oppressive, or grievous. – 1 John 5:3

Do you know why the Word of God and the orders God gives to you in your spirit are not burdensome or oppressive? Because everything He tells you is for your good and for your victory!

God knows what it takes to live in victory in this present evil world. In fact, He’s the only one Who knows. The people of this world cannot tell you how to live
victoriously. They don’t know how. But God does! He can make things work, even in the middle of darkness, and if we’ll follow His instructions, commands and precepts from His Word, we can too!

Let me give you an example. One commandment that God gave to us is to love one another and forgive one another as He has forgiven us. This command is not grievous because it’s the key to our freedom. If you can walk in the love that’s been shed abroad in your heart, you’ll have joy every day. But if you don’t walk in this commandment of love, somebody will get your joy before lunch! God knows that. So, He made a command of love and forgiveness because love works! Without love, there won’t be any joy, and the joy of the Lord is our strength.

Don’t resent God’s teachings. Don’t consider His ways a burden to your lifestyle. Rejoice over them. Take them gladly by the hand and let them lead you all the way to victory!

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me (Psalm 23:4).

I want you to know that Jesus is our good shepherd who watches over and delivers us even when we walk—not by His leading—into the valley of the shadow of death. In that valley, He is still with us. He is not with us to say, “I told you so.” He is not standing there, with arms folded, to see how we will get out of the trouble we got ourselves into. No, He is with us to protect and deliver us from the evil one with His rod and staff.

Beloved, Jesus will never forsake you, especially when you need Him the most. He will protect you, deliver you from death and bring you safely through every season of darkness!

SIMPLY SERVING (4) :

‘…give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord.’ 1 Corinthians15:58 NIV

Paul writes, ‘Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God?… If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.’ (Galatians 1:10 NIV) A true servant of God is content to work quietly in the shadows. They know that in Heaven God will openly reward people we’ve never even heard of—people who taught emotionally disturbed children, cleaned up after the incontinent, nursed AIDS patients, and gave their lives in a thousand unnoticed ways. ‘Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labour in the Lord is not in vain.’ During World War II, when England needed to increase its coal production, Winston Churchill called together labour leaders. He asked them to picture in their minds a victory parade which he knew would be held in Piccadilly Circus after the war. First in line would be the sailors who kept the vital sea lanes open. After them would come the soldiers who returned from Dunkirk, then went on to defeat Rommel in Africa. Next would be the pilots who’d driven the Luftwaffe from the skies. Last of all, he said, would come a long line of sweat–stained, soot–streaked men in miners’ caps. Someone would shout from the crowd, ‘And where were you during the critical days of our struggle?’ And from ten thousand throats would come the answer, ‘We were deep in the earth with our faces to the coal.’ Not all jobs are prominent and glamorous. But those who serve God with their ‘faces to the coal’ play a vital role in fulfilling His purposes in the earth

YOUR CHOICE

a4  Righteous or Wicked? Your Choice!

The fear of the wicked will come upon him, And the desire of the righteous will be granted. When the whirlwind passes by, the wicked is no more, But the righteous has an everlasting foundation.  As vinegar to the teeth and smoke to the eyes,  So is the lazy man to those who send him. The fear of the LORD prolongs days,  But the years of the wicked will be shortened.  The hope of the righteous will be gladness, But the expectation of the wicked will perish.  The way of the LORD is strength for the upright, But destruction will come to the workers of iniquity.  The righteous will never be removed, But the wicked will not inhabit the earth.  The mouth of the righteous brings forth wisdom, But the perverse tongue will be cut out.  The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable, But the mouth of the wicked what is perverse. Proverbs 10:24-32

Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. Proverbs 30:5

The bible, the word of God, has much to say about the Righteous and the Wicked and what they can expect even in the current time of life including The way of the LORD is strength for the upright, but destruction will come to the workers of iniquity. Men including preachers can say and think all kinds of things but if it doesn’t line up with the word of God it’s useless and nothing but dead words!

Now the gospel of Jesus Christ changed who and how men can come to God but it didn’t and doesn’t change the consequences for the evil and wicked deeds of the wicked, workers of iniquity and the perverse and corrupt ones! Yes there are real consequences including The fear of the LORD prolongs days,  but the years of the wicked will be shortened!  Repentance was the key message that John the Baptist preached as well as many prophets before him, and even Jesus Christ. The bible tells us:

Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,  and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” Mark 1:14-15

Also He said to them, “In whatever place you enter a house, stay there till you depart from that place. “And whoever will not receive you nor hear you, when you depart from there, shake off the dust under your feet as a testimony against them. Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!” So they went out and preached that people should repent. And they cast out many demons, and anointed with oil many who were sick, and healed them. Mark 6:10-13

Then He said to them, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day,  “and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.  “And you are witnesses of these things.  “Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.” Luke 24:46-49

Then He began to rebuke the cities in which most of His mighty works had been done, because they did not repent:   Then He began to rebuke the cities in which most of His mighty works had been done, because they did not repent:  “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.  “But I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judgment than for you.  “And you, Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, will be brought down to Hades; for if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.  “But I say to you that it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment than for you.” Matthew 11:19-24

The mighty works of Jesus were for the purpose that men including cities would repent and believe in the gospel which changes a person from being wicked to being righteous! Nothing has change and men need to repent today and get a new heart and a new spirit through the new birth. Repentance and remission of sins  is to be preached in Jesus  name to all nations until Jesus return.  Repentance and conversion cannot  be rejected otherwise there will be no blessings of the gospel of the Kingdom. The bible clearly tells all:

“Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols.  “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.  “I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. “Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people, and I will be your God. “I will deliver you from all your uncleannesses. I will call for the grain and multiply it, and bring no famine upon you.  “And I will multiply the fruit of your trees and the increase of your fields, so that you need never again bear the reproach of famine among the nations. Ezekiel 36:25-30

Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?”  Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. “For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.” Acts 2:37-39

“Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,  “and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before,  “whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began. Acts 3:19-21

“Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent,  “because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.” Acts 17:30-31

Yes, even this day God now commands all men everywhere to repent. Repentance is not an option but a command otherwise there will be serious negative consequence on Judgment day! Yes for each person there must repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. Yes there must be the new birth, the Baptism of the Spirit and the doing of  works befitting repentance (Acts 26:20). Men are not to despise the riches of God’s  goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, who leads them to repentance. Otherwise their hardness and their  impenitent heart  will bring them wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God,  who “will render to each one according to his deeds”:  eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality;  but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness-indignation and wrath,  tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek;  but glory, honor, and peace to everyone who works what is good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.  For there is no partiality with God (Acts 2:4-11).

Yes there is a real hell to shun, a real heaven to gain and a repentance to be made even on a daily basis for God’s word is unchanging:

Now I rejoice, not that you were made sorry, but that your sorrow led to repentance. For you were made sorry in a godly manner, that you might suffer loss from us in nothing. For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death. 2 Corinthians 7:9-10

For I fear lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I wish, and that I shall be found by you such as you do not wish; lest there be contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, backbitings, whisperings, conceits, tumults;  lest, when I come again, my God will humble me among you, and I shall mourn for many who have sinned before and have not repented of the uncleanness, fornication, and lewdness which they have practiced. 2 Corinthians 12:20-21

“Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place-unless you repent. Revelations 2:5

YOUR CHOICE

be a blessing“Do You Want To Be Made Well?”

Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years.  When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?” The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.” Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked. And that day was the Sabbath. John 5:5-9

God is and always will be God, a great and wonderful Miracle Worker, and the Healer. He stands ready to save, heal, deliver and make whole anybody and everybody who calls upon His name.  Jesus Christ, who is the same yesterday, today and forever, immediately healed the man who who had an infirmity thirty-eight years after he answered Jesus’ question “Do you want to be made well?” with a yes!

The problem with seeing healing and miracles in the current time of life in our lives is never on God’s side but on man’s. Jesus later told this instantly healed man, “See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you” (John 5:14). In this particular case the sickness was a result of sin and the man would have to change his ways lest a worse thing come upon him. He had to take responsibilty for his actions or the lack there of.

It’s a fact that some people love being sick because they receive attention and care and they don’t have to be responsible any more to do things like work. Being sick is an easy way to escape things they don’t like. While they say they want to be healed in reality they do not! And that is why the question  “Do you want to be made well?” is very important be answered truthful by each individual for God’s word is unchanging:

…”If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you.” Exodus 15:26

Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Psalm 103:3

But to you who fear My name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise With healing in His wings; And you shall go out And grow fat like stall-fed calves.  You shall trample the wicked, For they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet On the day that I do this,” Says the LORD of hosts. Malachi 4:2-3

God has given men a free will and freedom to have the desires of their hearts including being sick even though He has made provision for their total and complete healing and deliverance.  And some of His people do choose sickness over health and others become sick because they have disobeyed God’s word. His word is true:

Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.  But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.  For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep.  For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world. 1 Corinthians 11:27-32

“And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write, ‘    These things says the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and His feet like fine brass: “I know your works, love, service, faith, and your patience; and as for your works, the last are more than the first.  “Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols.  “And I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent. “Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds. “I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works. Revelations 2:18-23

Yes, the word of God teaches that unrepentant sins brings sickness and even death, even though God’s word tells us that by Jesus stripes we were healed (1 Peter 2:24 ). Besides faith in God repentance is a very useful thing in receiving healing from God. God’s word is unchanging:

“When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, “if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:13-14

Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. James 5:14-15

Yes, the LORD makes poor and makes rich; He brings low and lifts up. He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the beggar from the ash heap, to set them among princes and make them inherit the throne of glory.  God doesn’t have a problem in making His people rich and prosperous. Jesus Christ suffered on the cross intense pain and shame to set us free from sickness and poverty. By His stripes we were healed in every sense of the word.  Jesus was made manifest to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8) including sickness and poverty. He is still the great Savior, Healer, Deliverer, Provider and Miracle Worker. It’s Satan, our arch enemy, who wants God’s people to suffer spiritual, physical and financial insufficiency and be sick and weak for he is a thief, a murderer and a destroyer  (John 10:10). God’s word is unchanging:

Now He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath.  And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent over and could in no way raise herself up.  But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, “Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.”  And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.

But the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath; and he said to the crowd, “There are six days on which men ought to work; therefore come and be healed on them, and not on the Sabbath day.”

The Lord then answered him and said, “Hypocrite! Does not each one of you on the Sabbath loose his ox or donkey from the stall, and lead it away to water it? “So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound-think of it-for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?”  And when He said these things, all His adversaries were put to shame; and all the multitude rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by Him. Luke 13:10-17

Yes, the devil kept this woman sick for eighteen years and Jesus delivered her from her bondage. And because He is the same yesterday, today, and forever He can and will deliver any one from any bondage. There are many forms of bondage besides sickness. A person could be physically well but be bondage in his finances. But God who owns the cattle on the thousand hills and all the silver and gold will deliver him from his or her bondage (Isaiah 51:1-3, 61:1-5). The lack of money is a great bondage but Jesus delivers from all forms of bondage.

Contrary to what some people believe money is not the root of all evil. The LOVE of money is the root of all evil! Money is just a means of payment.  It’s is neutral. What a person does with money makes it either good or evil.  What is important is does a person possess money or does money possess the person?

Now the devil wants God’s people to be blind and ignorant about God’s desires for them to be healthy and wealthy and powerful. The devil is not stupid and he knows that whatever part of the Word of God is rejected by God’s people it will not become a reality in their lives. So he causes many religious folks to believe that sickness and poverty are the will of God and that prosperity and wealth and prosperity are from the devil. But all this is nothing but a lie from the father of all lies – the devil.

Poverty is like an infectious disease. It is like a virus Satan brings upon the Body of Christ. He has infected many individuals, families and whole churches with the “poverty virus”.  As a result for them poverty and sickness have literally become a way of life.

But the truth of the matter is that Jesus had died on the cross to give us 100% victory over all things including setting us free from sickness and disease and poverty. He doesn’t want us to be even 1% sick or poor. He gave His blood for us. He purchased us. We are His own and all that belongs to Jesus belongs to us- all of it!  That is the reason why Jesus wants us to live a 100% healthy life. Every sickness in our life and poverty is defeated by the blood of Jesus. Jesus gave His blood — He died naked on the cross — to set us free from sickness or poverty. Every financial lack in our life is defeated by the blood of Jesus. He wants us to live 100% wealthy and healthy lives. and All we have to do is to receive and confess God’s Word concerning our health, healing, blessings  and prosperity and to act according to it. God’s word is unchanging:

“And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day. Deuteronomy 8:18

“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! Matthew 7:11

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. James 1:17

YOU ALONE

CA

YOU HOLD THE KEYS

I have pursued mine enemies, and overtaken them…they are fallen under my feet. – Psalm 18:37-38

If you’ve been standing around wringing your hands and worrying about what the devil is doing, it’s time you made a switch. It’s time you put that devil under your feet!

Jesus has already given you all the power and authority you need to do it. He’s given you the keys of the kingdom. He’s promised you that whatever you declare locked on earth is locked in heaven and whatever you declare unlocked on earth is unlocked in the heavenlies (Matt. 16:19). That means you can speak the Word and bind wicked spirits. You can speak the Word and loose the angelic forces of God to work in your behalf.

What’s more, you’ve been given the power of attorney that enables you to use the mighty Name of Jesus. A Name that’s above every other name. A Name which will cause every knee to bow–in heaven, in earth, and under the earth! (Phil. 2:9-10).

So don’t waste time worrying about the devil. Take authority over him. Bind the evil spirits that try to destroy your home, your church, and your nation. Loose God’s Word in the earth and enforce it with the Name of Jesus.

You hold the keys. Learn to use them and before long the devil will be wringing his hands worrying about you!

Scripture Reading: Matthew 16:13-27

YES JESUS TAUGHT THAT YOU ALONE DETERMINE THE YIELD OF THE WORD OF GOD THAT IS SOWN IN YOUR HEARTS

MATTHEW 13:18 “Therefore hear the parable of the sower:
19 When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside.
20 But he who received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy;
21 yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles.
22 Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.
23 But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”
JESUS ALSO TAUGHT THAT YOU CAN HAVE ABUNDANCE OR POVERTY AND IT WAS YOUR CHOICE
12 For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.

A VERY IMPORTANT DOCTRINE IN THE BIBLE

Matthew 13: The Parable of the Sower
1 On the same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the sea.
2 And great multitudes were gathered together to Him, so that He got into a boat and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.
3 Then He spoke many things to them in parables, saying: “Behold, a sower went out to sow.
4 And as he sowed, some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds came and devoured them.
5 Some fell on stony places, where they did not have much earth; and they immediately sprang up because they had no depth of earth.
6 But when the sun was up they were scorched, and because they had no root they withered away.
7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up and choked them.
8 But others fell on good ground and yielded a crop: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
9 He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

The Purpose of Parables
10 And the disciples came and said to Him, “Why do You speak to them in parables?”
11 He answered and said to them, “Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given.
12 For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.
13 Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.
14 And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says: ‘ Hearing you will hear and shall not understand, And seeing you will see and not perceive;
15 For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, And their eyes they have closed, Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them.’
16 But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear;
17 for assuredly, I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.

The Parable of the Sower Explained
18 “Therefore hear the parable of the sower:
19 When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside.
20 But he who received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy;
