ABIDE

A1ABIDE IN JESUS :

If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered. – John 15:6

If I were to ask you to make a list of a hundred things you need to do to please the Lord today, you could do it, couldn’t you? In fact, you probably have so many spiritual “do’s” and “don’ts” cluttering up your mind that you’d hardly know where to start.

But you can relax. I’m not going to suggest you make a list of them. Instead, I’m going to help you simplify things by giving you only one: Abide in Jesus.

The one thing you’re truly responsible for is your union with Him. If you keep your union and fellowship with Him intact, everything else will be taken care of.

“But, I’m facing some big problems right now. My life’s turned upside down. I’m so rushed I don’t know whether I’m coming or going. I don’t have time to fellowship with the Lord today.”

That’s when you need to do it the most! You need to maintain your union with the Lord particularly when the storms of life come. I know that’s often not easy to do.

Whether the storm is a sickness in your body or financial problems or family strife, the temptation will be to settle your attention and your mind on that problem. You won’t even want to think about anything else.

That’s what the devil planned on. That’s the reason he sent that storm in the first place. To distract you from fellowshiping with God. To draw your attention away from your union with Him.

Don’t fall into the devil’s trap. Instead, keep your thoughts and affections trained on the Lord. As you do that, the force of faith will begin to flow out of you. And that flow will repel every form of darkness. It will bring you in triumph through every storm.
Fellowship with Jesus today.

A PICTURE OF HUMILITY

God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. —James 4:6

During the Easter season, my wife and I attended a church service where the participants sought to model the events that Jesus and His disciples experienced on the night before He was crucified. As part of the service, the church staff members washed the feet of some of the church volunteers. As I watched, I wondered which was more humbling in our day—to wash another person’s feet or to have someone else wash yours. Both those who were serving and those being served were presenting distinct pictures of humility.

When Jesus and His disciples were gathered for the Last Supper (John 13:1-20), Jesus, in humble servanthood, washed His disciples’ feet. But Simon Peter resisted, saying, “You shall never wash my feet!” Then Jesus answered, “If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me” (13:8). Washing their feet was not a mere ritual. It could also be seen as a picture of our need of Christ’s cleansing—a cleansing that will never be realized unless we are willing to be humble before the Savior.

James wrote, “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble” (James 4:6). We receive God’s grace when we acknowledge the greatness of God, who humbled Himself at the cross (Phil. 2:5-11).

My faith looks up to Thee,
Thou Lamb of Calvary, Savior divine;
Now hear me when I pray, take all my sin away,
O let me from this day be wholly Thine!

The most powerful position on earth is kneeling before the Lord of the universe.

YOU’RE PROTECTED FROM EVIL (2) :

‘Hide me in the shadow of Your wings.’ Psalm 17:8 NIV

Here are three ways you can open yourself up to the power of evil:

(1) By choice. The author of The Satanic Bible said, ‘A successful witch or wizard must first surrender totally to Satan.’ You’re probably wondering what kind of person would say or do such a thing. But the fact is, God gives each of us a free will capable of surrendering to Christ or to Satan. Paul writes, ‘Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves… so…present your [bodies] as slaves of righteousness.’ (Romans 6:16-19 NKJV)

(2) By unrestrained indulgence. When any natural desire is indulged to excess, it can become an addiction and a force of destruction. Now, let’s be clear here: addiction doesn’t equate to someone being demon-possessed. Many Christians battle stubborn habits, and Christ has promised to set them free (John 8:32). When you were saved, Christ moved in and Satan moved out, because Christ won’t live in a building with the devil.

(3) By dabbling in the occult. God told Israel that those who put their trust in mediums were to be cut off from the community (Leviticus 20:6). Ever wonder why spiritual mediums can’t pick the right lottery number, win a fortune and feed the starving masses? Because they’re fake, that’s why! Speaking of Satan, Jesus said, ‘There is no truth in him…he is a liar and the father of [lies].’ (John 8:44NKJV) Don’t mess with the powers of darkness through horoscopes or anything else. The only true guidance that comes from a star, comes from Jesus, ‘the Bright and Morning Star.’ (Revelation 22:16 NKJV)

BREAKING STRONGHOLDS :

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds. – 2 Corinthians 10:4, NKJV

Scripture tells us that there is a battle going on in our minds. Our thoughts dictate our actions. That’s why the enemy will do everything he can to get you thinking in the wrong direction. Sometimes, it’s not our own thoughts that are holding us back; sometimes it’s that we’ve believed the negative things that other people have spoken. Those words are like seeds. If you dwell on them long enough, they’ll take root and become reality.

In life, there will always be people telling you what cannot be done, speaking negative things. Too often we latch on to those negative words and develop what the scripture calls a “stronghold.” That’s a wrong thought or action that keeps us from God’s best. The way you break those negative strongholds is by rejecting the lie, forgiving the person, and embracing the truth of God’s Word. In other words, you have to choose to delete that negative file in your mind.

Today, why don’t you take inventory of your thought life? Ask yourself, “Where did these thoughts come from? Do they line up with what God says about me?” Break the negative strongholds and embrace God’s truth so you can be all that God has called you to be!

PLEASE GOD NOT PEOPLE :

And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me. – Mark 10:43-48

The devil will always have someone available to tell us why we shouldn’t expect to get results when petitioning God. Most people would rather stay with the crowd and not do anything to draw attention to themselves even if that means not getting their needs met. They will try to make you conform as well. If this man would have listened to the crowd, he would not have received his healing. “Ye have not, because ye ask not” (Jas. 4:2).

This blind man is a good example of an active kind of faith. He was not passive in his approach toward healing. He boldly cried out to Jesus for mercy. When the crowd ridiculed him and told him to be quiet, he cried out even louder for mercy.

Many people believe that God can perform the miracle they need but relatively few are willing to actively pursue it until they get results. They are afraid of what others will think of them. This man had his attention focused only on Jesus. Nothing else mattered and that is why he got healed.

An integral part of faith is seeking God only with your whole heart. If we are concerned about what people think so that we can gain their approval, we will never take a stand in faith for anything that we might be criticized for. This one thing has probably stopped as many people from receiving from God as anything else. You cannot be a “man-pleaser” and please God at the same time. Satan uses persecutions to steal away God’s Word and thereby stop our faith. To see faith work, we must say with Paul, “let God be true, but every man a liar” (Rom. 3:4).

Our spirits are the only part of us that have experienced total redemption.

Thank God for the redemption He has provided for you today.

HEALTHIER, STRONGER EACH DAY:

Acts 2:46 – So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart,

Back then in the early church, Christians would meet each other every day, either corporately in the temple or from house to house in smaller groups. And when they met in their homes, the Bible tells us that they would break bread. That’s the Holy Communion, and they took it every day!

Now, I am not saying that you must take the Holy Communion every day. But if you feel led to and you want to, go ahead! The thing about taking the Holy Communion daily is this: If you are sick, you can be made well on a gradual basis. This means that you get healthier and stronger from day to day—first thirtyfold, then sixtyfold, then a hundredfold!

You see, while you can receive healing through the prayer of faith (Mark 11:24), it sometimes puts pressure on you because it requires you to believe that you receive it all—complete healing—the moment you pray. There is nothing wrong with the prayer of faith, but you may find yourself saying, “I must believe I receive it all, now! I must believe I have it all, now!”

But the Holy Communion allows you to receive a measure of healing every time you partake in faith, so that you get better and better. The more you take it, the better you become. There is no pressure to believe that you receive it all at once. Isn’t God good? He meets you at your level of faith!

Now, there are cases I know of in our church, in my family and in my own life, where the manifestation of healing is immediate and complete. If it happens that way, praise God! But if not, don’t worry. The more you partake, the better you will become.
I know of people who take the Holy Communion three times a day, just like they would medicine! Why not? My friend, if you are very sick and you are diligently taking your medication three times a day, why not give the Lord’s Supper the same amount of attention? Why not boost your recovery rate? And the next time you eat the bread and drink the cup, you may just find your disease totally gone!

Thought For The Day :

If you are diligently taking your medication three times a day, why not give the Lord’s Supper the same amount of attention?

ANGER MANAGEMENT

“Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil. – Ephesians 4:26–27

When you encounter someone who is nasty to you, how do you normally react? Many of us tend to get angry, and if we really lose our cool, we end up saying or doing things we regret later.

My friend, the Bible says, “Be angry, and do not sin.” It’s not a sin to feel anger, but don’t allow that anger to cause you to sin. And don’t give place to the devil by letting that anger take root in your heart.

“How do I do that?”

Focus your attention on how much God loves you!

Once, I was walking to my car and I saw a man walking in front of me with his wife. His car was parked next to mine. When he opened his car door, he did it with such force that it hit my car with a loud “thud!” Then, he glared at me as if I had wronged him. Without a word of apology, he got into his car and slammed the door. His wife quickly went into the car like a meek little lamb.

I was on my way to church, full of the Holy Ghost, ready to preach on God’s love. But now, I was angry! I sat in my car, nostrils flaring. I said, “Lord, I am angry!” The Lord said to me, “Do you know that I love that man?” I said, “Yeah, but I don’t want to know about it right now, Lord.” The Lord then told me that the reason that man behaved that way was that he really did not know how much He loved him. So he was grouchy. He was angry. He was bitter toward life.

“Now, you experienced it only once,” the Lord said, “Imagine living with him like his wife does.” Then, He said, “Son, do you know that I love you? You are blessed because compared to him, you know how much I love you.” As I focused on God’s love for me, my anger melted away.

Beloved, in moments of anger, the devil wants you to focus on what the other person has done to you. But God wants you to focus on what He has done for you at Calvary. Today, feed on His love for you, and let Him turn every bitter situation sweet!

PRAYER FOR THE DAY :

“The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song.” (Psalm 28:7)

Dear Lord God, I praise You. I honor You. The law of the Lord is perfect; reviving my soul this morning. Let Your smile shine upon my face and teach me Your decrees for I yearn for it. May God open my eyes to see wonderful things in Your law and pour out Your sweet Spirit upon me that my heart may sing You praises and not be silent! Bless me O Lord! Remember me with favor O God! Make me Your humble servant and a brilliant masterpiece in Your hand.Thank you Lord for your Mercy its endures forever & ever….

Gratefully, in Jesus’ holy name. Amen !!!

Isaiah 11:1 There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots.
2 The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.
3 His delight is in the fear of the LORD, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears;
4 But with righteousness He shall judge the poor, And decide with equity for the meek of the earth; He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked.
5 Righteousness shall be the belt of His loins, And faithfulness the belt of His waist.

John 6:66 from that time many of his disciples went back and walked with him no more.

There is nothing wrong with an aggressive approach to people which Jesus Christ practiced? Could anybody deny the following about Jesus?

Jesus the epitome of love and character didn’t go around blessing people with words. He didn’t bless the religious and political leaders of his day but cursed them with ‘woe to you’ which doesn’t mean something good is going to happen to you especially when spoken by God incarnate.

Yes Jesus the epitome of love and character bad mouthed people. He called them all kinds of names including fools, hypocrites, murderers, serpents, brood of vipers, liars, blind guides, sons of hell, etc. He told them they would not escape the condemnation of hell (Matthew 23:15, 33, Luke 11:24-25, 23:38-31) and they didn’t

Gentle Jesus even told Peter “get behind me Satan!” In other words Jesus called a spade a spade and didn’t use nice words all the time like most evangelical preachers devoid of miracles, signs and wonders

Jesus Christ didn’t care about being politically correct – I wonder how many feminized evangelicals would reject and bar the real Jesus from their churches because He wasn’t concerned about pleasing people or having their acceptance?

Many evangelicals who are devoid of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit love talking about the importance of love, character and being gentle and not quarrelsome. They quote:

1 Timothy 3:3 not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not covetous;

2 Timothy 2:23 But avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife.

2 Timothy 4:14 Remind them of these things, charging them before the Lord not to strive about words to no profit, to the ruin of the hearers.
15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
16  But shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness.
17 And their message will spread like cancer. Hymenaeus and Philetus are of this sort,
18 who have strayed concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection is already past; and they overthrow the faith of some.
19 Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”

Now it is interesting that these words were penned by Apostle Paul who was very quarrelsome with Apostle Barnabas! As a result the word of God records:

Acts 4:36    Then after some days Paul said to Barnabas, “Let us now go back and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they are doing.”
37 Now Barnabas was determined to take with them John called Mark.
38 But Paul insisted that they should not take with them the one who had departed from them in Pamphylia, and had not gone with them to the work.
39 Then the contention became so sharp that they parted from one another. And so Barnabas took Mark and sailed to Cyprus;
40 but Paul chose Silas and departed, being commended by the brethren to the grace of God

Many evangelicals hate using an aggressive approach because they want acceptance by people and don’t want to be persecuted. And that is why they have these new church who don’t offend anyone which is hogwash. Of course there are no real miracles, signs and wonders or healing and deliverance in these churches just mental conversion which mean absolutely nothing!

“JESUS STILL HEALS THE SICK” (MATT. 4: 23)

We received a praise report from a woman named Lynn in Burnaby, BC. who had telephoned me earlier in the year for prayer to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. We prayed and she easily began to speak in her tongues-language (Mk. 16: 17).She was also suffering from stage three breast cancer and was given no hope to live. We prayed and asked Jesus to heal her (Matt. 4: 23). And, He did! She sent us a note to thank and praise Jesus for completely healing her of the cancer. She is like the one leper of 10, who returned to thank Jesus for healing her (Lk. 17:15).

YOUR FAITH

20120116 The Genuineness Of Your Faith?

“I have made a covenant with my eyes; Why then should I look upon a young woman?  For what is the allotment of God from above,  And the inheritance of the Almighty from on high?  Is it not destruction for the wicked,  And disaster for the workers of iniquity? Job 31:1-3

It’s very foolish for men to speak on behalf of God. Primarily because most people, including sincere religious ones, do not know really know Him.  A prominent columnist in writing about the judgment of God stated:

Abraham Lincoln said that the Civil War came because of slavery and because America had “forgotten God” and was “intoxicated with unbroken success…too proud to pray to the God who made us.” Alexander Solzhenitsyn said communism strangled the Soviet Union for seven decades because his people had “forgotten God.”

…While God allows bad things to happen, it is His nature to do only good and to bring good out of evil. How do I know this? Was I “in on the meetings”? No. Psalm 5:4 says, “You are not a God who takes pleasure in evil…” Joseph, who had been sold into slavery by his brothers — yet became Pharaoh’s right-hand man and supplier of grain to the starving — said to them, “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.” (Genesis 45)

When columnists become theologians then we are really in trouble! The statement “it is his nature to do only good and to bring good out of evil” is false because we know from the book of Job that the devil could not bring evil upon Job without God’s permission. Although it was the devil who brought evil upon Job, it was God who allowed it to happen. The bible records for our profit and instruction:

There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was blameless and upright, and one who feared God and shunned evil. And seven sons and three daughters were born to him. Also, his possessions were seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen, five hundred female donkeys, and a very large household, so that this man was the greatest of all the people of the East.

And his sons would go and feast in their houses, each on his appointed day, and would send and invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them.

So it was, when the days of feasting had run their course, that Job would send and sanctify them, and he would rise early in the morning and offer burnt offerings according to the number of them all. For Job said, “It may be that my sons have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” Thus Job did regularly.

Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them.   And the LORD said to Satan, “From where do you come?” So Satan answered the LORD and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.”

Then the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?”

So Satan answered the LORD and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing?  “Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.  “But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!”

And the LORD said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.” So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD. Job 1:1-12

Although Job was blameless and upright, and feared God and shunned evil, God for His glory and honor allowed the devil to remove from Job all that he had including his sons and daughters and to inflict Job with painful boils from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head.. But Job held fast to his integrity no matter what evil he had to endure from God. The bible records

So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD, and struck Job with painful boils from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head.  And he took for himself a potsherd with which to scrape himself while he sat in the midst of the ashes.

Then his wife said to him, “Do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die!”

But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?” In all this Job did not sin with his lips. Job 2:7-10

God can do and will do with man whatever He wants for after all He is God who has created and sustains all things including the spoiler to destroy.  For God’s word is unchanging:

“O you afflicted one, Tossed with tempest, and not comforted, Behold, I will lay your stones with colorful gems, And lay your foundations with sapphires. I will make your pinnacles of rubies, Your gates of crystal,  And all your walls of precious stones.  All your children shall be taught by the LORD, And great shall be the peace of your children.

In righteousness you shall be established; You shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear;  And from terror, for it shall not come near you.  Indeed they shall surely assemble, but not because of Me.  Whoever assembles against you shall fall for your sake.”Behold, I have created the blacksmith  Who blows the coals in the fire, Who brings forth an instrument for his work;  And I have created the spoiler to destroy.  No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment  You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD,  And their righteousness is from Me,”  Says the LORD. Isaiah 54:11-17

“When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:13-14

According to the bible, the word of God, God is in charge of all things on earth including good and evil. So ultimately it all comes from Him including adversity and evil and pestilence. Everyone will be seasoned with fire, and every sacrifice will be seasoned with salt. For God’s word is unchanging:

Now great multitudes went with Him. And He turned and said to them, “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple.  “And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple.

“For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it-  “lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, “saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish.’

“Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand?  “Or else, while the other is still a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks conditions of peace.  “So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.

“Salt is good; but if the salt has lost its flavor, how shall it be seasoned?  “It is neither fit for the land nor for the dunghill, but men throw it out. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!” Luke 14:25-35

The storms and adversities of life will separate the men from the boys. It will separate those who love God for only what He provides and those who love Him for Himself.  Job lost everything but He did not curse God and held to his integrity.  So similarly all will be tested by God to see if their faith is real or if they are hypocrites.  For God’s word is unchanging:

For what is the hope of the hypocrite, Though he may gain much,  If God takes away his life? Will God hear his cry  When trouble comes upon him? Will he delight himself in the Almighty?   Will he always call on God?

“I will teach you about the hand of God; What is with the Almighty I will not conceal.  Surely all of you have seen it;  Why then do you behave with complete nonsense?   “This is the portion of a wicked man with God,  And the heritage of oppressors, received from the Almighty:  If his children are multiplied, it is for the sword;  And his offspring shall not be satisfied with bread.  Those who survive him shall be buried in death,  And their widows shall not weep, Job 27:8-15

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,  whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith-the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1:3-9

AANOT OF THIS WORLD :

Whatever is born of God is victorious over the world; and this is the victory that conquers the world, even our faith. – 1 John 5:4

Years ago the devil started a rumor. He told a few Christians that as long as they lived in the world, they had to suffer as the world did. He told them they had to share the diseases and the defeat, the poverty and the failure of those around them.

It was a crafty lie–and it worked. Believers accepted it and began to spread it among themselves. You may have even heard it yourself. If so, I want to help you put that rumor to rest today. I want to help you get the facts straight once and for all.
You see, despite what you may have heard, health, prosperity and victorious living aren’t concepts some comfort-hungry believer selfishly dreamed up. They are God’s ideas.

You may say, “That sounds good, Gloria, but we’ve got to be realistic. We live in a world that’s full of problems. And as long as we live in this world, it seems to me we’re going to have our share.”

Yes, that’s true. Even Jesus said, “In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration.” But notice, He didn’t stop there! He went on to say, “But be of good cheer– take courage, be confident, certain, undaunted–for I have overcome the world.– I have deprived it of power to harm, have conquered it [for you]” (John 16:33, The Amplified Bible).

Most believers don’t have any trouble believing the first part of that verse. They know all too well how many tribulations, trials, distresses, and frustrations surround them. But they’re less certain about the last part. They haven’t yet experienced for themselves exactly what Jesus meant when He said He had deprived those things of power to harm them.

Why not?

Because they’re still living as though they’re part of the world.

But, listen. Jesus said you and I are to be “sanctified,” or separated from the evils of this world. How? Through the Word of God! (John 17:17).

The Word of God will separate you from the world. His Word will set His dream for victory into motion in your life. If you’ll receive it and believe it, speak it and act on it, that Word will set you apart from those around you. It will take you from trouble to triumph again and again.

ARE YOU BEING HATED ???

Are you being Hated by people for faith and Holy Life in Christ?
Are you being Abused for your Righteous Living?
Are you being Persecuted for Preaching the Good News of Jesus Christ ?
Are you being Hated for your Holy Life ?
Are you being Rejected for your following the Words of BIBLE?
Are you being Forsaken by your Friends, family Members because you accepted Jesus in Your Life?
Are you being Despised by people because of your Decision to Follow Jesus Christ ?
Are you being Reproached by people for Obeying the Word of God?
Are you being Mocked by bearing Witness for Christ?

Jesus Said in the BIBLE :

Matthew 5:10-12

Blessed and happy and enviably fortunate and spiritually prosperous (in the state in which the born-again child of God enjoys and finds satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of his outward conditions) are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake (for being and doing right), for theirs is the kingdom of heaven!
Blessed (happy, to be envied, and spiritually prosperous—with life-joy and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of your outward conditions) are you when people revile you and persecute you and say all kinds of evil things against you falsely on My account.
Be glad and supremely joyful, for your reward in heaven is great (strong and intense), for in this same way people persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Matthew 10:22

And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake, but he who perseveres and endures to the end will be saved

1 Peter 4:14-16,19

14 If you are censured and suffer abuse [because you bear] the name of Christ, blessed [are you—happy, fortunate, to be envied, with life-joy, and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of your outward condition], because the Spirit of glory, the Spirit of God, is resting upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified.
15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer or a thief or any sort of criminal, or as a mischief-maker (a meddler) in the affairs of others [infringing on their rights].
16 But if [one is ill-treated and suffers] as a Christian [which he is contemptuously called], let him not be ashamed, but give glory to God that he is [deemed worthy to suffer] in this name.
19 Therefore, those who are ill-treated and suffer in accordance with God’s will must do right and commit their souls [in charge as a deposit] to the One Who created [them] and will never fail [them].

2 Corinthians 4:17

For our light, momentary affliction (this slight distress of the passing hour) is ever more and more abundantly preparing and producing and achieving for us an everlasting weight of glory [beyond all measure, excessively surpassing all comparisons and all calculations, a vast and transcendent glory and blessedness never to cease!],

Mark 10:28-30

28 Peter started to say to Him, Behold, we have yielded up and abandoned everything [once and for all and joined You as Your disciples, siding with Your party] and accompanied You [walking the same road that You walk].
29 Jesus said, Truly I tell you, there is no one who has given up and left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands for My sake and for the Gospel’s
30 Who will not receive a hundred times as much now in this time—houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions—and in the age to come, eternal life.

Philippians 3:7-8

7 But whatever former things I had that might have been gains to me, I have come to consider as [one combined] loss for Christ’s sake.
8 Yes, furthermore, I count everything as loss compared to the possession of the priceless privilege (the overwhelming preciousness, the surpassing worth, and supreme advantage) of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord and of progressively becoming more deeplyand intimately acquainted with Him [of perceiving and recognizing and understanding Him more fully and clearly]. For His sake I have lost everything and consider it all to be mere rubbish (refuse, dregs), in order that I may win (gain) Christ (the Anointed One),

Dear friend, are you treading the trail of tribulations for the sake of the Kingdom of God? Are you perturbed in pain? Are you mocked at and despised by the world? If you are, remember that Jesus is testing your courage and moulding your life. When you cry aloud in prayer for others, the power of God will descend on you. Mighty miracles will happen through you. Amidst storms and sunshine, keep smiling. Christian life is not a bed of roses. So, let us rejoice even amidst our afflictions.

May our gracious Lord Jesus who bore our burdens and carried our sorrows, amidst the pains and anguish of His own passion, grant you real peace and joy and gladden you all the days of your life!

LIFE’S DARKEST MOMENTS

An angel touched [Elijah], and said to him, “Arise and eat.” —1 Kings 19:5

Charles Whittlesey was a hero’s hero. Leader of the so-called “Lost Battalion” in World War I, he was awarded the Medal of Honor for his bravery when his unit was trapped behind enemy lines. When the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier was dedicated, Charles was chosen to serve as pallbearer for the first soldier laid to rest there. Two weeks later, it is presumed that he ended his own life by stepping off a cruise ship in the middle of the ocean.

Like Elijah (1 Kings 19:1-7), Charles was publicly strong, but in the quiet, post-public moments, his feelings of despair set in. People today frequently face situations bigger than they can handle. Sometimes it’s temporary despair brought on by fatigue, as in Elijah’s case. He had been part of a great victory over the prophets of Baal (18:20-40), but then he feared for his life and ran into the wilderness (19:1-3). But often, it’s more than despair and it’s more than temporary. That’s why it is imperative that we talk about depression openly and compassionately.

God offers His presence to us in life’s darkest moments, which enables us, in turn, to be His presence to the hurting. Crying out for help—from others and from God—may be the strongest moment of our lives.

God wants to restore everything the devil has stolen from us, and cultivate the character of Christ in us.

Father, grant us the candor to admit to each other that sometimes life overwhelms us. And grant us the courage to help others find help—and to seek it when we need it.

Hope comes with help from God and others.

REST

AB THE SPIRIT’S REST AND REFRESHING :

For with stammering lips and another tongue He will speak to this people, to whom He said, “This is the rest with which you may cause the weary to rest,” and, “This is the refreshing”…
Isaiah 28:11–12
To counter stress, many people resort to tobacco, alcohol or tranquilizers. These things, besides having harmful side effects, are costly and often lead to addictions.
God has something better for us. It is powerful, costs us nothing and has no harmful side effects. He calls it “the rest” and “the refreshing”. What is He referring to?

Speaking in tongues—“For with stammering lips and another tongue…”

One of our church members was on medication for nine long years for a host of problems: severe depression, suicidal thoughts, insomnia, chronic sinusitis, gastritis and panic attacks. Every day, he had to take up to 30 tablets to keep these conditions under control.

He suffered from such bad sinusitis that he had to visit the hospital regularly to drain the mucus. He could not sleep much—at most three hours—even with sleeping pills. And because of his panic attacks, he could not go to work and seldom left his house. His wife had to look after him and their three kids. The side effects of the long-term medication also caused his physique to balloon.

One day, he felt God prompting him to pray in tongues as often as he could. He obeyed. The moment he started to pray in tongues, even though it was just a few syllables, he felt a rest, a peace. This encouraged him to pray in tongues more. And the more he prayed in tongues, the more rest and peace he felt.

His sinuses began to clear up and he was healed of gastritis. Slowly, the fears and panic attacks left him too. He also started to have quality sleep without the sleeping pills! The Lord even taught him how he was to eat—two meals a day, but to eat whatever he wanted. Today, he is back to his normal weight!

Through praying in tongues regularly, God delivered this man from a host of long-term illnesses. My friend, this is the rest and the refreshing which God has promised us. So start praying in tongues regularly, and let His rest and peace saturate your entire being!

Thought For The Day

Pray in tongues regularly and let God’s rest and peace saturate your entire being.

JESUS PAID THE PRICE :

For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. – Mark 10:45

Jesus told His disciples many times of His death but this is the first time He indicated the reason for His death. Now it is clear that His death would be a “ransom”, defined in the Greek as a means of loosing by paying a price.

The words “ransom” and “redeem” were used interchangeably in scripture.

Not only would Jesus pay the price for sin but also His death would be substitutionary. In 1 Timothy 2:6, the word “ransom” is taken from the Greek word “antilutron” which means “a redemption-price.” The Greek word “anti” means “in place of.” In other words, the ransom avails for all who will accept it (Jn. 3:16; Rom. 10:13).

The price paid for our redemption is the life of Jesus, that is, Jesus’ blood (Col. 1:14). This redemption, according to Hebrews 9:12, is eternal and is intended to purify us from all iniquity (Ti. 2:14), and bring us to serve the living God (Heb.9:14).

This can be illustrated by the way we use trading stamps. First, the stamps have to be purchased, then they are redeemed for the desired product. The purchase is essential but so is the redemption. No one really wants the stamps. They want what the stamps can be redeemed for. The purchase for our total salvation has already been made with the blood of Jesus, but our bodies have not been redeemed yet. That is to say that we have not received yet, all the benefits of this transaction in our physical bodies. This will take place at the second coming of the Lord when we receive our new glorified bodies.

Our spirits are the only part of us that have experienced total redemption.

Thank God for the redemption He has provided for you today.

VOLUNTEERS, NOT CONSCRIPTS :

‘Whatever we do, it is…because Christ’s love controls us now.’ 2 Corinthians 5:14 TLB

Paul writes, ‘Whatever we do, it is certainly not for our own profit, but because Christ’s love controls us now.’ God is looking for volunteers, not conscripts. Conscripts are motivated by law; volunteers are motivated by love. After the attack on Pearl Harbour, enlistment centres all over America were jammed with boys too young to fight, men who had retired, and even the blind. One elderly man said to a recruitment officer, ‘I’d consider it my greatest privilege to die defending this country.’ Why do men and women do this? Duty? Yes, but something even greater – devotion! Their hearts have been captured by a cause. Facing the loss of his freedom, his ministry and possibly his life, Martin Luther told the ecclesiastical powers of his day, ‘I will not recant. My conscience is captive to the Word of God!’ No one should ever have to beg and pressure you to teach a Sunday school class, work with young people, give to the cause of Christ, visit the sick, lonely and needy, or serve others. You should be begging for the privilege! Paul said, ‘What things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ… for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ.’ (Philippians 3:7-8 KJV) Commitment to Christ is like signing your name on a blank cheque and saying, ‘Lord, You fill in the amount.’ You’re not doing God a favour by serving Him; He’s honouring you by allowing you to serve Him. Today, measure what you would do for the Lord – by what you actually do

SPIRITUAL NAVIGATION

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. —Psalm 119:105

Dava Sobel’s award-winning book Longitude describes a dilemma faced by early sailors. They could readily determine their latitude north or south of the equator by the length of the day or height of the sun. Calculating east/west longitude, however, remained complex and unreliable until English clockmaker John Harrison invented the marine chronometer. This was “a clock that would carry the true time from the home port . . . to any remote corner of the world,” thus enabling sailors to determine longitude.

As we navigate the seas of life, we also have a reliable source of spiritual direction—the Bible. The psalmist wrote, “Oh, how I love Your law! It is my meditation all the day” (Ps. 119:97). Rather than occasionally glancing at God’s Word, he spoke of pondering the Lord’s directions throughout each day: “Your testimonies are my meditation” (v.99). This was coupled with a commitment to obey the Author: “I have sworn and confirmed that I will keep Your righteous judgments” (v.106).

Like the mariners of old, we need a constant guide to help us find our way and stay on course. That’s what happens when we seek the Lord day by day with an open heart and a willing spirit that says, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”

We need God’s guidance from above,
His daily leading and His love;
As we trust Him for direction,
To our course He’ll give correction.

With God as your navigator, you’re headed in the right direction.

TAKE THE FIRST STEP :

The steps of a [good] man are directed and established of the Lord, when He delights in his way [and He busies Himself with his every step]. – Psalm 37:23
God’s will is to lead you on a day-by-day basis. He’s given His Spirit to guide you every day.

Most believers don’t know that. They expect God to reveal His complete will for their lives in one big revelation. Don’t make that mistake. Don’t just sit around waiting for God to show you whether or not He wants you to go to Africa for the rest of your life.
Let Him begin to lead you in little things first, to tell you what you need to do about this situation or that one. He’ll show you what you need to change. And, as He does, you’ll change one thing at a time.

The truth is, you probably already know one thing God wants you to do. You might not know why He wants you to do it. You may not know where it’s leading, but you’ve heard His voice in your heart.

If you want to keep on hearing Him, you’ll have to set aside your own ambitions and desires. Spend time in prayer and in the Word. Tune your ear to the voice of His Spirit.

Learn to trust Him. Remember that He’s smarter than you are and be willing to do what He says whether you can understand it with your mind or not. Obey even His smallest instructions. If you do, He’ll eventually change your whole life…one little step at a time.

SUBMISSION RELEASES GOD’S FAVOR

Then Jesse said to his son David, “Take now for your brothers an ephah of this dried grain and these ten loaves, and run to your brothers at the camp. And carry these ten cheeses to the captain of their thousand…” – 1 Samuel 17:17–18

You are probably familiar with the story of David and Goliath. But do you remember how this shepherd boy ended up on the battlefield to begin with?

David was there to deliver bread and cheese to his brothers who were in the army. And yet, David found himself standing on the battlefield as Israel’s representative against the haughty Goliath. From delivering bread and cheese, he was now called upon to deliver the entire nation of Israel.

David was at the right place at the right time because he humbled himself and submitted to his father’s instructions to deliver bread and cheese to his brothers.

Beloved, this is something you need to understand. Submission to God-appointed leadership will always cause God’s favor to flow in your life, and you will find yourself, like David, at the right place at the right time, empowered by God to do the right thing!

BREAK THE YOKE OF AVERAGE :

Now to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. – Ephesians 3:20–21, NKJV

God never created you to be ordinary. He created you to leave your mark on this generation. God wants you to do something big. He wants you to go further than anyone in your family. You have seeds of greatness on the inside. That yoke of average that’s been around your neck is coming off. God is about to thrust you to a new level of destiny. It’s going to be exceedingly, abundantly above and beyond what you could ever imagine! This is a new day, and you’re going to see the yoke-destroying, burden-removing power of our God like never before!

If you will receive this into your spirit and not talk yourself out of it, it will ignite your faith and become a reality. Let it go beyond being an encouragement and grab hold of it in your spirit. Believe, “This is for me. This is my destiny. Something new is being birthed. Yokes are coming off of me. Chains are being broken. I am stepping in to the fullness of my destiny!”

Have a Blessed Day. God’s Grace be with you and yours !!!

WISDOM TO CONTAIN GOD’S PROVISON

Now it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said to her son, “Bring me another vessel.” And he said to her, “There is not another vessel.” So the oil ceased. Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, “Go, sell the oil and pay your debt; and you and your sons live on the rest.” 2 KINGS4:6-7

When it comes to provision, God’s word is chockfull of wisdom and encouragement. It not only gives you pictures of God’s inexhaustible supply, but it also provides wisdom in managing what comes into your hands.

In the story found in 2 Kings 4:2–7, Elisha told a poor widow to get as many empty vessels as she could, and pour her last jar of oil into the vessels. She did as told and miraculously, the oil kept flowing. It stopped only when she ran out of vessels. Elisha then told her to sell the oil, pay her debt and live on the surplus.

I want you to see two important things here. Firstly, the supply stopped only when the demand on God’s supply stopped. I want to encourage you to never stop looking to Jesus for your supply.

Secondly, if you are in debt, your first priority is to settle your debt. Notice that Elisha told the widow, “Sell the oil and pay your debt.” And when you have cleared your debt, learn to live within your means. Beloved, the more you meditate on and heed the practical wisdom in God’s Word, the more you will be able to contain His provision.

AND HEALED THEM

20120130He Sent His Word

I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, And in His word I do hope. Psalm 130:5

He makes peace in your borders, And fills you with the finest wheat. He sends out His command to the earth; His word runs very swiftly. Psalm 147:14-15

The Word and Jesus Christ are one and the same. He cannot lie and the Word cannot lie! So what God has promised in His written word He will fulfill. As a result for some He will bring deliverance and for others He will bring destruction. For God’s word is unchanging:

Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men!  For He has broken the gates of bronze, And cut the bars of iron in two.  Fools, because of their transgression, And because of their iniquities, were afflicted.  Their soul abhorred all manner of food,  And they drew near to the gates of death.  Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble,  And He saved them out of their distresses. He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions. Psalm 107:15-20

Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help,  And rely on horses, Who trust in chariots because they are many, And in horsemen because they are very strong, But who do not look to the Holy One of Israel,  Nor seek the LORD!  Yet He also is wise and will bring disaster, And will not call back His words,  But will arise against the house of evildoers, And against the help of those who work iniquity. Now the Egyptians are men, and not God;  And their horses are flesh, and not spirit. When the LORD stretches out His hand, Both he who helps will fall, And he who is helped will fall down; They all will perish together. Isaiah 31:1-3

The LORD has promised great wealth and prosperity for those who fear and trust in Him. His word is true:

Who is the man that fears the LORD?  Him shall He teach in the way He chooses. He himself shall dwell in prosperity,  And his descendants shall inherit the earth. The secret of the LORD is with those who fear Him, And He will show them His covenant. Psalm 25:12-14

I love those who love me, And those who seek me diligently will find me.  Riches and honor are with me,  Enduring riches and righteousness.  My fruit is better than gold, yes, than fine gold, And my revenue than choice silver. I traverse the way of righteousness,  In the midst of the paths of justice,  That I may cause those who love me to inherit wealth,  That I may fill their treasuries. Proverbs 8:17-21

He who is of a proud heart stirs up strife, But he who trusts in the LORD will be prospered. Proverbs 28:25

But those who are proud cannot expect prosperity but rather demise and punishment. For God’s word is unchanging:

The LORD will destroy the house of the proud, But He will establish the boundary of the widow. Proverbs 15:25

Everyone proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD; Though they join forces, none will go unpunished. Proverbs 16:5

A haughty look, a proud heart, And the plowing of the wicked are sin. Proverbs 21:4

There is no virtue in being proud! Jesus Christ is the deliverer of many men’s souls for without Him men  can do nothing of any importance or value. Yes, He has  given many giftings to men. They can swim expertly, drive trucks, build towering buildings and so on but they have missed the point. If what they have done is not unto God it has no value in the Kingdom of Heaven and profits little. For God gives everything man does value.

Man glorifies himself and walks about with great pride admiring his accomplishments and God looks upon him and his accomplishments with disdain. He is not pleased at what He sees that men are accomplishing because it is not in Christ or unto Christ. This displeases God  and He refuses to bless such accomplishments. If the world is still functioning it is because of God’s grace more than any pleasure that He may derive from man’s accomplishments.

Is there such a thing as freedom without consequences or freedom without reactions. Can men say, I am free to do as I like? No, men can’t really say that but they make themselves believe and receive that and it brings them into greater separation from God. So, why do men do what they do? Can they really expect no consequences for their actions or words? No, they can expect a reaction but not from where they expected. It will come from Heaven and do the work of bringing justice to a wrong or an untruth. Heaven is not oblivious to what is going on, on earth. The Lord, knows and sees all things and will reward every deed good, bad or indifferent. He is not to be mocked what a man sows he also reaps.

When we operate under His anointing He directs us and uses us for His glory and brings glory even to ourselves but when we operate in our flesh, which is more than likely, we reap the rewards of the flesh, which is burnt up in the fire of the Holy Spirit. Can men say, they are free? No, because true freedom is a life yoked in proper service to the Lord of Hosts. He only can bring us into true freedom. But, true freedom has a price. The price is giving up our selfish will and following His leading and guidance by the voice of the Holy Spirit within us. This is called being “born again.” Not what many religious believe, that being born again is saying you accept Jesus. This is only the first step in a life consecrated in an intimate walk with the Lord that produces the right kind of fruit. Real fruit is fruit produced in us by the power and presence of the Holy Spirit. It is nothing we can produce in ourselves, yet many try and will wonder why their “hard work” will be burnt up as so much wood, stubble and hay. God only is the producer of everything of good within us, something many of us find hard to accept. Somehow, we were “taught” that if we did it right we would be spiritual. But, true spirituality is simple surrender and desire to serve only Him-the King of kings and Lord of lords.

We have failed to see what was right before our eyes-that there is nothing good we could offer Him within us. Even the lowest whore is equal to us. Our pride has defiled us already. We are corrupt, unclean and of no value as we are, even when we think we are doing His will. Our outward traditions and forms are empty clay vessels. There emptiness is proven by the fruit in our lives. Little love. Little comfort. A  lot of empty fellowshipping, and no miracles of any lasting value. Yet, when we touch the Lord of lords and King of kings and surrender our pride, traditions and desires to Him, He quickens our life and makes us what we ought to be. Now, we are serviceable and useable. Now, we are ready to do His will and not ours. He can move in our lives and make the Word and doing of it possible with much tender fruit coming from us. This is true service and a true intimate relationship with Him. Above all we must not deny what is written on paper in the Word of God before us. We must seek His way and not ours.  For God’s word is unchanging:

Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. James 1:16-17

Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom.  But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. James 3:13-18

THIRD WAVE

Drunk and Laughing “in the spirit” – Slaughter of the Sheep

How many of you know that getting drunk is SIN? How about laughing without any self-control? Actually, the spectacle of uncontrollable laughter and animal noises may be new to the church world but the occult has known such phenomena for a long time. Joy Smith, an ex-follower of Swami Baba Muktananda discloses that the Swami “would transfer what was called ‘guru’s grace’ to his followers through Shaktipat (physical touch). This ‘grace’ triggered the gradual awakening of the Kundalini which in turn produced various physical and emotional manifestations. Manifestations included uncontrollable laughing, roaring, barking, hissing, crying, shaking, etc. Some devotees became mute or unconscious. Many felt themselves being infused with feelings of great joy and peace and love. At other times the ‘fire’ of Kundalini was so overpowering they would find themselves involuntarily hyperventilating to cool themselves down.”

MORE

AA MORE THAN WAITING

A little while, and you will not see Me; and again a little while, and you will see Me, because I go to the Father. —John 16:16

I don’t know how it works where you live, but when I have to call for a repair for one of my appliances, the company says something like, “The repairman will be there between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.” Since I don’t know when the repair person will arrive, all I can do is wait.

Jesus told His followers that He would soon be leaving them and they would need to wait for His return in “a little while” (John 16:16). After His resurrection, they saw Him again and they hoped He would be establishing His kingdom on earth at that time. But He told them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority” (Acts 1:7). They would have to wait even longer.

But they were to do more than wait. Jesus told His followers that they were to “be witnesses to [Him] in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth” (v.8). And He gave them the Holy Spirit to empower them to do this.

We still wait for Jesus’ return. And while we do, it’s our delight, in the Holy Spirit’s power, to tell and show others who He is, what He has done for all of us through His death and resurrection, and that He has promised to return.

Dear Lord, we love You so much. We want our words and our lives to be a witness of Your goodness and grace. Please use us in ways we never thought possible.

Wait and witness till Jesus returns.

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit” (Jeremiah 17:7-8, NIV).

Water symbolically represents the Word of God. A tree planted by water is not affected by drought. Likewise, we are not affected by what’s going on in the world when we are planted in God’s Word.

ONE THING IS NEEDFUL :

Proverbs 4:20–21

My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart;

George Müller, who lived in the 1800s, cared for more than 2,000 orphans in his five large orphanages. But he never allowed his huge responsibility to take him away from the Word of God. He said that every day, he would set aside time to study the scriptures until his inner man was happy in the Lord.

Once, Müller met a man who worked between 14 and 16 hours every day. He told the man, “You are destroying your health. You don’t have time for your family and, most importantly, you don’t have time to nourish your inner man with the Word of God.”
The man replied, “I hear you, but I can’t see how I can cut down my working hours and spend time in the Word because even with the 14 to 16 hours I put in each day, I still can’t put enough bread on the table for my family.”

As the man walked away, Müller said, “He doesn’t believe that if he gives time to God’s Word first, God will take care of all his needs.”

Likewise, do you really believe that every day, only one thing is needful? Even if the bills don’t get paid, the children are not making any headway in their studies and the office work is not completed, all these things can wait. Only one thing is needful—that you spend time in the Word of God.

When Martha complained to Jesus that her sister Mary had left her to serve alone (Mary was sitting at Jesus’ feet and hearing His Word), Jesus defended Mary by saying, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.” (Luke 10:41–42)

My friend, you will not lose out when you take time to sit down and listen to God’s Word. Even your health and well-being will be blessed. (Proverbs 4:22) So take time today to meditate on His Word. It will make your way prosperous (Joshua 1:8–9), and give you divine health and good success!

Thought For The Day :

You will not lose out when you take time to sit down and listen to God’s Word.

GOD CAN DO IT AGAIN

PSALMS 45:40 The people asked, and He brought quail, And satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
41    He opened the rock, and water gushed out; It ran in the dry places like a river.
42    For He remembered His holy promise, And Abraham His servant.
43    He brought out His people with joy, His chosen ones with gladness.
44    He gave them the lands of the Gentiles, And they inherited the labor of the nations,
45    That they might observe His statutes And keep His laws. Praise the LORD!

GOD WHO BLESSED HIS PEOPLE WITH THE LANDS, HOUSES, AND VINEYARDS OF THE GENTILES FOR WHICH THEY DIDN’T LABOR AS WELL AS SILVER AND GOD OF THE EGYPTIANS, CAN DO IT AGAIN FOR HIS PEOPLE. BUT HE HAS COMMANDED THEM TO  SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS:

MATTHEW 6: 25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?
26    Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
27    Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
28    “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin;
29    and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30    Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
31    “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’
32    For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
33    But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

BELIEVING IS RECEIVING :

Mark 5:28–29 :28For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” 29Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction.

You have heard people of the world say, “I will believe it only when I see it.” Generally, that is the way the world thinks. But God’s ways are not like the ways of the world. The world says, “If I can’t feel it or see it, I cannot believe the miracle is here.” God says, “If you believe it before you feel it or see it, you will see your miracle.”

Believing first before seeing the evidence of what we are believing for is called faith. Faith is like a spark and Jesus is the dynamite powder.

In the story of the healing of the woman with the issue of blood, there were many people who touched Jesus (Mark 5:31), but nothing happened to them. They didn’t touch Him in faith. But when the woman who had been bleeding for 12 years came to Him and touched Him in faith, He felt power leave His body (Mark 5:30), and it sparked off an explosion of healing in the woman’s body!

Hearing about how good, kind and loving Jesus was fired her faith to believe that He could and would heal her. So convinced was she (even when the condition in her body was still evident) that she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” Did she experience her healing first before she believed? No, she believed first in Jesus’ goodness and power, acted in faith and only then felt the healing in her body.

In the same way, God wants you to believe in His goodness and love toward you. He wants you to know how willing He is to act on your behalf to bless you, and how, with Christ, He will freely give you every good thing. (Romans 8:32)

He wants you to declare by faith that all is and shall be well with you, and to expect to see just that. And then, no matter how long you have had the problem, no matter how bad the experts say it is, an explosion of healing and restoration will take place, and you will receive what you are believing for!

Don’t Look at the Storm

“But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?” Matthew 14:30-31

If there’s any way the devil can get your eyes away from the Word, he’ll do it. He’ll cause trouble. He’ll make the circumstances around you pitch and roll like a rowboat in a hurricane. He’ll do anything he can to get you to concentrate on the realm of the physical senses and the situation around you instead of on the promise of God–because he knows that if he doesn’t, you’ll take that promise and beat his brains out with it.

That’s what he did to Peter. When Peter first jumped out of the boat that day in response to Jesus’ word, what happened? He walked right across that water without a problem. His whole being was fastened on that word Jesus had spoken to him, “Come!”

But when he took his eyes off that word, he started looking at the storm. He started looking at the impossible thing he was doing. After all, he was a fisherman. All his training and experience told him when the waves were that high, you were going under. He started to focus on what he knew in the natural instead of what Jesus said. When he did that, his faith slipped out of gear and he started to sink.

Don’t let that happen to you. Once you get a revelation from the Word of God, hang onto it. Don’t focus on anything else.

The devil will do everything he can to get you to turn loose of it. He’ll stir up things around you. He’ll try to get you into fear. He’ll push every button he can from the past to get you back into your old way of thinking.

But don’t let go. Keep your eyes on the Word of God until it’s more real inside you than anything else. If you do, you’ll be able to walk your way across the water just fine.

 GOD HAS NO SHORTAGES

Proverbs 22:4 By humility and the fear of the LORD Are riches and honor and life.

Romans 10:12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him.

MEN ARE FULL OF SHORTAGES INCLUDING MONEY, HEALTH, POWER, WISDOM, LOVE AND PATIENCE. BUT GOD IS RICH IN EVERYTHING THAT WE NEED. HIS RICHES, RESOURCES, WEALTH AND POWER ARE UNLIMITED AND THAT IS AMAZING CONSIDERING HOW BIG AND VAST OUR EVER EXPANDING GALAXIES ARE!

AND THE GOOD NEWS HE HAS PROMISED FOR THOSE WHO BELIEVE TO SUPPLY ALL THEIR NEEDS ACCORDING TO HIS RICHES IN GLORY BY CHRIST JESUS

Baal-ogna!

AE
Baal-ogna! Wrong Source for the Prophet

We live in the last days. There are thousands of false prophets in America today. Their source of knowledge is not from God but they say they have heard from God. What is their source of knowledge? Jeremiah said about the false prophets of his time:

“They prophesied by Baal and caused My people Israel to err.” (23:13) They speak a vision of their own heart, not from the mouth of the Lord. (23:16) “I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran. I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied. (23:21) “I have heard what the prophets have said who prophesy lies in My name, saying, ‘I have dreamed, I have dreamed!’ “How long will this be in the heart of the prophets who prophesy lies? Indeed they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart, “who try to make My people forget My name by their dreams which everyone tells his neighbor, as their fathers forgot My name for Baal. (23:23-27)

Many false prophets today just speak from their own heart and have not heard from God. Some have dreams and say they are from God when they are not. However in this article I wish to share how the modern false prophet is receiving his source of knowledge by Baal. These same prophets are so blinded by deceit that they do not know that their messages are from the Evil One himself, Satan.

Today false prophets are receiving their messages from the spirit world. This spirit world is the world of demons. This spirit world is the same universal source of knowledge from which the new age witches, chanellers, and sorcerers receive their knowledge. Not only are false prophets today receiving messages from the wrong source, they are preaching that their knowledge is from God. Beware! I wish to give you three examples of false prophets today that receive their messages from the spirit world. This spirit world is not our source of information for the prophetic gift nor the prophetic office.

Mark Virkler

When Mark meditates he stills his mind just like a New Ager. When we prays it is better to not think of God, says Mark. Again he says; “Thinking about God could constitute reasoning.” He takes the same position as New Agers and says that as we meditate we move “internally from a left-brained posture to a right-brained posture.” He admits that angels, demons, the Holy Spirit, the omnipresent God and Jesus exists around him. Now he had learned to see into this spirit world and has heard from God. Mark says: “I have received no instruction on how to open the eyes of my heart to the spirit world. You may discover that inner visions come so easily, you are tempted to reject them thinking they’re a product of your mind. But if you record them, you will soon recognize that they can only be from God.” How does recording visions help you recognize their source?

This scientific method of meditation has become a way into the presence of God where Mark says that he hears and sees visions from God. Baal-ogna! This is receiving a message from Baal, the evil one, the deceiver, and the liar. His thoughts only come from the inward self that transcends the material world and into an altered state of consciousness. God does not reveal himself in such a manner.

The Whole Process of a Prophetic Word by Larry Randolf

Larry Randolf says: “Revelation is the first state in the development of prophecy. This is where initial contact is made with the spirit world and prophetic information is obtained.” I ask you, where in the New Testament did Jesus teach the disciples how to enter into a spirit world to receive from God? Never!

Randolf also admits that in this state of sensitivity to revelatory communication that man is also subject to human opinions, “soulish impressions, and even familiar spirits.” Would God in heaven lead his people into such a state of mind whereby man could be confused by familiar spirits? Never! Jesus taught the disciples to pray in the Lord’s Prayer: “Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.”

Because there are mixed voices in this spirit world, Larry Randolf says that he must decide what is from God and what isn’t from God. Believe me. When God speaks, you will know His voice and it will not be confusing. Jesus said in John’s gospel, “My sheep will know my voice.” When God spoke to a prophet of Bible days there was no confusion and doubt as to who was speaking. If you have to wonder or question if something is from God then it is not.

After deciding what is from God, Larry Randolf says that he now must give his dream an interpretation. Even Daniel could not interpret dreams. Only God could because only God knew the future. Do you want to be lead by the words of a prophet who had to discover what the interpretation is for a dream that came from the spirit world? Baal-ogna! … Beware!

The Prophecy of Rick Joyner

Rick Joyner in his latest book called “The Call” claims that he receives messages from the dead saints and prophets. He says:

“I also understand how the nature of some of these revelations would cause theological problems for some. One of these would certainly be the way that I met and talked with many Old and New Testament characters, as well as prominent people in church history who are now dead. There are biblical precedents for this such as when the Lord talked to Moses and Elijah. We also have the example when the apostle John fell down to worship the angel in Rev 22:9. The angel rebuked John, declaring that he too was a fellow servant of his brethren. Many have understood this to indicate that this was one of the saints who had gone on to be with the Lord.” P19

We are not Christ who is able to communicate with all spirits. Elijah never died but went to heaven in a whirlwind. Moses’ body was never found. It says that the Angels buried him but it’s possible that he never died either but was taken up to heaven. Joyner’s argument from Revelation is so ridiculous that it needs no reply.

Talking to the dead is what the witches and wizards do. God has forbidden one to consult with familiar spirits.

“There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, 11Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. 12For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD:” Deut 18

How can Joyner now justify what God had condemned? There is also no catholic mystic that can justify their visitations with dead saints or prophets. This only means one thing. Their experience is not from God. Their visitations are not of God. They know not the voice of God for God does not contradict Himself. Beware of false experiences. An experience no matter how convincing, it is may not be from God.

What does it mean to prophesy by Baal? The story of Balaam explains. (Numbers 22-25) Moab was threatened by the multitudes of the children of Israel so he called for Balaam who lived in Pethor in Mesopotamia later called Babylon. He was a diviner. He was seeker of familiar spirits. He was rich because of his curses that he pronounced. He was a prophet of Baal. The Moabites came with their divination gifts for Balaam and took him to the high places where they worshipped Baal to offer sacrifice and pronounce a curse upon Israel. But the scriptures tell us:

“Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought! ”

Balaam went three times to seek familiar spirits. Each time the God of Israel intervened. Balaam could not curse Israel whom God had blessed and chosen. Finally Balaam went to God and did not seek enchantments as he had done before. He then prophesied from God.

And when Balaam saw that it pleased the LORD to bless Israel, he went not, as at other times, to seek for enchantments, but he set his face toward the wilderness. 2And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel abiding in his tents according to their tribes; and the spirit of God came upon him. 3And he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor hath said, and the man whose eyes are open hath said: 4He hath said, which heard the words of God, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open: 5How goodly are thy tents, O Jacob, and thy tabernacles, O Israel! 6As the valleys are they spread forth, as gardens by the river’s side, as the trees of lign aloes which the LORD hath planted, and as cedar trees beside the waters. 7He shall pour the water out of his buckets, and his seed shall be in many waters, and his king shall be higher than Agag, and his kingdom shall be exalted. 8God brought him forth out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn: he shall eat up the nations his enemies, and shall break their bones, and pierce them through with his arrows. 9He couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion: who shall stir him up? Blessed is he that blesseth thee, and cursed is he that curseth thee. Num 24

There was a difference between the way Balaam sought God the last time. God does not give prophecy to a man that seeks familiar spirits. The Spirit of God comes upon a man that has his eyes opened and his heart turned to God. The source of the voice of the Holy Spirit can never be found in the same spirit world where evil voices are also found. If you are a true prophet of God the origin of the message should never have to be discerned. The voice of the Holy Spirit never brings confusion.

The modern prophet says the following to determine the source of the gift.

“You are to ask yourself: Is it from the Spirit of God or from Satan or from the Spirit of truth or the spirit or error?” Hamon, Prophets Pitfalls and Principles. Pg.121

What is wrong with this statement? We should never have to question the source of true prophecy. God never leaves the prophet in doubt. He will always be 100 percent sure when God speaks and his prophecies will be 100 percent accurate. The real prophet does not depend upon unusual receptivity into the spirit world but yields only to the Holy Spirit.

How can a true vessel of God, who claims to be a prophet, become subjected to false prophecy as is written here? Be not deceived. Do not fall for the Baal-ogna of false prophets today.

ABIDE

20120207And My Words Abide In You?

“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

“If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.

“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. “By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. John 15:4-8

Jesus Christ who doesn’t lie clearly taught that there were real benefits to abiding in Him and His words abiding in His disciples. Those who abide in Him could ask whatever they desire and it shall be done for them! But Jesus Christ also taught that there were serious negative consequences for those who did not abide in him. They would be cast out as a branch that is withered which men gather and throw into the fire to be burned.  So those who have made the Lord to be their Source of total supply and allow His words to abide in them, can prosper, bear much fruit and see their prayers answered. While the others for whom Jesus Christ is not Lord and their Source of total supply must examine and change their ways or they will not prosper, nor bear fruit nor see their prayers answered. For God’s word is   unchanging:

“You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.’ “But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’ shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of hell fire.

“Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, “leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift. “Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are on the way with him, lest your adversary deliver you to the judge, the judge hand you over to the officer, and you be thrown into prison.  “Assuredly, I say to you, you will by no means get out of there till you have paid the last penny. Matthew 5:21-26

“Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. Matthew 18:19

Not agreeing with God or others could have serious negative consequences. Agreeing with God and others could have very positive blessings. Great peace and great good come to those who are in full agreement and submission to God in every area of their life, including the financial area. Agreeing with God is simply agreeing with His Word made real by His Spirit.  But true prosperity comes from agreeing with all parts of the Word and not just some particular passages of the word.  Yet God’s word is unchanging:

No one is so fierce that he would dare stir him up. Who then is able to stand against Me?  Who has preceded Me, that I should pay him?  Everything under heaven is Mine.  Job 41:10-11

Can two walk together, unless they are agreed? Amos 3:3

“And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours. Luke 15:31

Everything under heaven including silver, gold, glory, victory and honor belongs to God and all that belongs to Him belongs to His sons and daughters.  But in the kingdom of God, unlike in the world, to receive one must believe and one must give.  For God’s word is true:

“Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes.  Cease to do evil, Learn to do good; Seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor; Defend the fatherless, Plead for the widow.  “Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the LORD, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow;  Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool. If you are willing and obedient,  You shall eat the good of the land;  But if you refuse and rebel, You shall be devoured by the sword”;  For the mouth of the LORD has spoken. Isaiah 1:17-20

“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” Luke 6:38

Those who are willing and obedient shall eat the good of the land. While those who refuse and rebel shall be devoured by the sword.  The measure that men  measure to God will be the measure measured back to them. Yet God’s word is unchanging:

“Listen to Me, you who follow after righteousness, You who seek the LORD: Look to the rock from which you were hewn, And to the hole of the pit from which you were dug.  Look to Abraham your father,  And to Sarah who bore you;  For I called him alone, And blessed him and increased him.”  For the LORD will comfort Zion,  He will comfort all her waste places;  He will make her wilderness like Eden,  And her desert like the garden of the LORD;  Joy and gladness will be found in it, Thanksgiving and the voice of melody. Isaiah 51:1-3

God who blessed and made Abraham rich and great is able to do the same for each one of His children. But it’s God’s people not God who determine whether they will be blessed or not by abiding in Christ and allowing all of His words to abide in them. For God’s word is unchanging:

“Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. “And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God:  “Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country. “Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks.  “Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl.  “Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out. Deuteronomy 28:1-6

God wants His people to be victorious, rich and wealth. He wants them  to be the head, not tail. He wants them to be above only, not beneath in everything.  He wants them to have the faith to cast out demons, heal the sick, and be a blessing to others.  He wants them to live and walk in love. For God is love!  Jesus is love. And He is the Author and Developer of  their  faith. Love is the Author and Developer of their faith!  Love is the dominating force behind all aspects and operations of faith. Love develops faith and makes it work at its highest level. Love, as well as faith, is of the heart, not of the head. For God’s word is true:

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:10

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,  through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance;  and perseverance, character; and character, hope.

Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Romans 5:1-5

But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach):  that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For with the heart one believes unto  righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” Romans 10:10

God is a limitless God, and His provision is limitless. His grace and mercy are limitless for those who will receive of them. But it’s God power that works in His people and His word that abides in them that determines the abundance of God’s prosperity and goodness that will be manifested in their lives in the current time of life. Each person by his or her reactions to God’s power and word determines whether he or she will live in the abundance that God is able to provide. For God’s word is unchanging:

“And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day. Deuteronomy 8:18

“Therefore hear the parable of the sower:  “When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside.

“But he who received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; “yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles.

“Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.

“But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”  Matthew 13:18-23
