SHOW HIM

THE LORD IS ON MY SIDEHe Shall Deliver You

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 91:1

“Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.” Psalm 91:14-16

For those who make their eternal God their refuge and dwelling place and set their love upon Him, God has promised great and wonderful things. He has promised to deliver them from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. He has promised to cover them with His feathers and give them refuge under His wings from the terror by night, or of the arrow that flies by day, or the pestilence that walks in darkness, or the destruction that lays waste at noonday. He has promised that no evil shall befall them nor shall any plague come near their dwelling. He has promised that they shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, the young lion and the serpent they shall trample underfoot. He has promised to deliver him; set them on high, because they have known His name. He has promised to answer them when they call upon Him; to be with them in trouble; to deliver him and honor them; to satisfy them with long life and to show them His salvation.

Hence we need to pray to the Lord and ask Him to help us not to languish and brood over our afflictions but to trust and hope in His immense power and authority; to give us the grace to always acknowledge the fact that there is no problem that He cannot solve for us; to enable us to place our  hope and trust always in Him particularly in adverse situations. We need to ask for His love to always surround us  and breakthrough all barriers so that we might taste and see His goodness. His word is true:

Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! Oh, fear the LORD, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him. The young lions lack and suffer hunger;  But those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing. Psalm 34:8-10

The LORD knows the days of the upright, And their inheritance shall be forever.  They shall not be ashamed in the evil time, And in the days of famine they shall be satisfied. Psalm 37:18-19

Fools, because of their transgression, And because of their iniquities, were afflicted. Their soul abhorred all manner of food,  And they drew near to the gates of death. Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, And He saved them out of their distresses. He sent His word and healed them,  And delivered them from their destructions. Psalm 107:17-20

We reap what we sow. Our negative attitudes, words and judgments about others bring upon us trouble and sorrow and judgments. As a result we suffer and need to cry to the LORD in our trouble and affliction for we need God’s great mercy and grace to be healed and delivered out of them all. When we have enough of trouble and sorrow we will go to the Lord who is the God of all comfort and find His comfort. His word is unchanging:

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ. Now if we are afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effective for enduring the same sufferings which we also suffer. Or if we are comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation. And our hope for you is steadfast, because we know that as you are partakers of the sufferings, so also you will partake of the consolation.   For we do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, of our trouble which came to us in Asia: that we were burdened beyond measure, above strength, so that we despaired even of life. Yes, we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead,  who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver us; in whom we trust that He will still deliver us, you also helping together in prayer for us, that thanks may be given by many persons on our behalf for the gift granted to us through many. 2 Corinthians 1:2-11

Yes, the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so so our consolation also abounds through Christ. God doesn’t waste anything in our lives but He works all things together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). Through our trials and testings Yes, we learn  not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead,  and is the one and only Deliverer.  We learn not to judge others harshly lest we ourselves be judged harshly. God’s word is true:

“But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, “bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you.  “To him who strikes you on the one cheek, offer the other also. And from him who takes away your cloak, do not withhold your tunic either. “Give to everyone who asks of you. And from him who takes away your goods do not ask them back. “And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise. “But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. “And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. “And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive back, what credit is that to you? For even sinners lend to sinners to receive as much back. “But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil. “Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.

“Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” Luke 6:30-38

God judges those who judges others and condemns those who condemn others. He is merciful to those who are merciful. The measure they measure to others He measures to them. He gives grace to the humble but He resists the proud. His word is unchanging:

But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom.  Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.   Do not speak evil of one another, brethren. He who speaks evil of a brother and judges his brother, speaks evil of the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. There is one Lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. Who are you to judge another? James 4:6-12

Judge not, that you be not judged. “For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. “And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? “Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye?  “Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye. Matthew 7:1-5

Because of improper judgments many of God’s people don’t live in divine health or divine prosperity, even though salvation through Jesus enables us to return to the original position Adam enjoyed with God.  In that original state, Adam was healthy. No sickness or disease existed in his body, because no sickness or disease existed on earth. Adam enjoyed divine health, a sound mind and every need met before he sinned in the Garden. All he had to do was obey God’s command and stay away from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil in the midst of the Garden. But when the serpent said, “Go ahead and eat from it,” Adam disobeyed God and chose a new master (Gen. 3:4-6). At that moment, he lost all the blessings that had been his to enjoy. From that point on, Adam and all his descendants were plagued with hate, murder, poverty and sickness.

But God didn’t leave man to his curses of sin, suffering, poverty, lack and death. He prepared a day of atonement.  Jesus became the sacrificial Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world. (John 1:29.) He was the last Adam, who redeemed – or purchased back – for us everything the first Adam lost. Through Jesus, we can come into the family of God and have all our original possessions restored!  God sent His Word, Jesus,  to heal us (Ps. 107:20). He “Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses” (Matthew 8:17). His word tells us  says, “By whose stripes ye were healed” (1 Peter 2:24). God’s word is unchanging:

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:10

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. 2 Corinthians 9:8

Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. For I rejoiced greatly when brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth. 3 John 1:2-3

WILL FIGHT FOR YOU

AB

GOD WILL SURELY SHOW YOU KINDNESS

2 Samuel 9:7 – So David said to him, “Do not fear, for I will surely show you kindness for Jonathan your father’s sake, and will restore to you all the land of Saul your grandfather; and you shall eat bread at my table continually.”

When the people in the palace heard that King Saul and his son Jonathan had died in battle, they panicked. Fearful that David was coming to seize the throne, and kill all the sons and grandsons of Saul, they ran for their lives. A nurse took Mephibosheth, Jonathan’s son, and ran. But as she fled, the five-year-old boy fell and became lame in both feet. (2 Samuel 4:4)

The poor boy would not have been crippled if they had known that David actually loved Jonathan and Saul, and would have looked after Jonathan’s son because he had made a covenant with Jonathan. (1 Samuel 18:3)

In this story, King Saul represents the human race. He is like Adam who sinned against God and forfeited all that God gave to man. He had the position, but not the power anymore because of sin. Jonathan, who came after Saul, represents Jesus, who came as a human. Jonathan was not like Saul—he was good, just as Jesus is not like Adam—Jesus is the perfect Man. David represents God. So Jonathan’s covenant with David speaks of Jesus’ covenant with God. Mephibosheth represents believers today who are “lame” in some way—sick, depressed, fearful, poor and so on.

Now, Mephibosheth became lame because of bad news that was based on a lie. Many believers today are suffering needlessly because they believe the wrong things about God. They think, “My sin has found me out! God is coming after me!”
Well, I have good news for all Mephibosheths: David is not after your life! When David looked for Mephibosheth, it was to show him kindness, to take care of him and restore to him the land that had belonged to Saul his grandfather.

Likewise, God is not out to get you. He knows all about your sins and still loves you. That is why He sent Jesus as the payment for your sins. And because of Jesus’ covenant with Him, He says to you, “Don’t be afraid, I will surely show you kindness. I will restore all to you and you shall always eat at My table!”

Thought For The Day :

God is not out to get you, but to show you kindness, and to give you provision and restoration.

WISDOM SEEKERS

Blessed are those who find wisdom. —Proverbs 3:13 niv

Every spring colleges and universities hold commencement ceremonies to celebrate the success of students who have completed their studies and earned their degrees. After the students cross the stage, these graduates will enter a world that will challenge them. Just having academic knowledge won’t be good enough.

The key to success in life will be in wisely applying everything they have learned.
Throughout Scripture, wisdom is celebrated as a treasure that is worth seeking. It is better than riches (Prov. 3:13-18). Its source is God, who alone is perfectly wise (Rom.16:27). And it is found in the actions and attitude of Jesus, in whom “all the treasures of wisdom” are found (Col. 2:3). Wisdom comes from reading and applying the Scripture. We have an example of this in the way Jesus applied His knowledge when He was tempted (Luke 4:1-13). In other words, the truly wise person tries to see life from God’s point of view and chooses to live according to His wisdom.

What’s the payoff for this kind of life? Proverbs tells us that wisdom is like sweetness of honey on the tongue (Prov. 24:13-14). “Blessed are those who find wisdom” (3:13 niv). So seek wisdom, for it is more profitable than silver or gold!

Lord, strengthen my resolve to live by the wisdom that comes only from You. Give me the discernment to live all of life from Your point of view that I might know the blessings of a life lived wisely.

Blessing comes from seeking wisdom and living by it.

THE DESIRE TO PLEASE HIM …

For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him. – Philippians 2:13, NLT

Do you desire to please Him? When you become a believer by accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior, God begins working in you. He changes your desires from self-seeking to God-seeking. When you make a wrong choice or do something that displeases Him, most times, you know it immediately. There’s uneasiness on the inside of you. You might even feel a little sick to your stomach. That’s because the desire to please God is built inside of you. That “feeling” is the Spirit’s gentle conviction that keeps us on the path He has for us.

But notice He didn’t just give you the desire to please Him; He gave you the power to please Him, too. He didn’t just call you; He equipped you! Follow that inner prompting. Even when you make a mistake, even when you have a setback, God is always ready to help you. He loves you so much, and He wants the best for you. His plans and purposes for your life are good. And when you are submitted to Him, nothing can stop Almighty God from accomplishing great things in and through you!

THE POTTER’S PLAN

…as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in My hand…’ Jeremiah 18:6 NKJV

In the good times it’s easy to see that we’re making progress, but in the tough times we are prone to feel like we’re not making any progress at all. We react to pain, loss and adversity by consulting our feelings instead of God’s faithfulness. Please understand this: at all times you are securely in God’s hands! ‘…as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in My hand…’ (Jeremiah 18:6 NKJV) You’re a work in progress and the crucial thing isn’t your circumstances or feelings, but the Potter’s commitment to finish what He began. ‘…He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.’ (Philippians 1:6 NKJV)

Here are two things you must remember while you’re spinning on the Potter’s wheel:

(1) The Potter has the right to mould you as He sees fit. Nothing can prevent Him from making you into what He wants you to become. He is an expert at turning lumps of clay into objects of value and usefulness. ‘Does not the potter have power over the clay, from the …lump to make one vessel for honour…?’ (Romans 9:21 NKJV) Your job is to stay on the wheel and let God make you into what He desires you to be.

(2) The Potter has an individual plan for each lump of clay. The Potter, not the clay, determines the end-product in the same way that the Holy Spirit determines your place and role in the Body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:18).

So discover the Potter’s plan and submit to Him!

JESUS IS YOUR WISDOM

But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God…  1 CORINTHIANS 1:30

God wants us to go after wisdom. In the Book of Proverbs, God tells us wisdom is the principal thing (Proverbs 4:7). We are not to go after riches. But when we have wisdom, all the things we seek will follow after us, including honor and length of days. So never make riches your goal!

My friend, if you lack wisdom, simply ask God for it. He will give it to you “liberally and without reproach” (James 1:5). The truth is that He has already given you wisdom when He gave you Jesus, “who became for us wisdom from God”.

So if you are facing a challenge at work and you don’t know how to resolve it, say, “Jesus, You are my wisdom. I thank You that You will provide me with the best solution.” If you have a wayward child, say, “Jesus, thank You for wisdom in loving and raising this child well.”

Beloved, meditate on how Jesus, in whom resides all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, is in you, with you and for you today. He will lead you to do the right thing at the right time!

FOCUS ON JESUS …

Luke 10:20 – “Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.”

We were never instructed to have a Ph.D. in demonology. However, some justify focusing on Satan and his activity to an inordinate degree. This will actually encourage demonic activity and become a device that Satan can use against us.

As Paul said, we should not be “ignorant” of Satan’s devices. We certainly need to know that the devil and demons exist, and we need to recognize when we are facing demonic activity. But we need to keep our focus on the Lord.

Some people who are excessive in “spiritual warfare” actually spend more time talking to the devil each day than they do talking to God. That’s not right.

The best defense against the devil is to be so “God-centered” that we give no place to Satan. People who are very sensitive to the devil’s presence usually do so at the expense of being sensitive to the Lord’s presence. David said, “If I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there” (Ps. 139:8). Any time Satan’s oppression is there, God’s presence is present too (Heb. 13:5)! It’s just a matter of which one we focus on. Focusing on the devil is a trick of the devil.

Our total ability in the Christian life is found in Christ. It is not our ability that makes us strong, but our availability to Christ that enables us.

Paul said, “For when I am weak, then am I strong” (2 Cor. 12:10). He was saying that when he recognized his inability and, therefore, relied on the Lord, then the Lord’s strength flowed through him. We can do all things THROUGH CHRIST.

RECEIVE

AB

Mercy And Justice

So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”  And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.  “If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.” John 20:21-23

This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen. 1 Timothy 1:15-17

The basis of our judicial system is not only whether a person is guilty or not guilty of a crime but the reason he did the crime. Hence we have terms as reckless behavior, negligent behavior, first degree manslaughter, second degree manslaughter, justifiable homicide and acquittal. The Court usually considers the evidence in a light most favorable to the accused. The elements of the crime of manslaughter in the second degree, each of which the state must prove beyond a reasonable doubt, are that at the time and place alleged: 1. The defendant caused the death of person. 2.  The killing was reckless. 3. The killing was not excusable or justified.

A person is reckless with respect to circumstances when the person consciously and unjustifiably disregards a substantial risk that such circumstances may exist.  The difference between reckless behavior and negligent behavior is primarily measured by the state of mind of the individual Any reckless killing of one human being, including an unborn child, by the act or procurement of another is neither murder nor manslaughter in the first degree, nor excusable nor justifiable homicide, is manslaughter in the second degree.

A person can be charged with a crime and be acquitted because there was not sufficient evidence  to sustain a  conviction. It doesn’t mean he wasn’t guilty but just that he could not be proven guilty.  In the court of law it has been established “Where a person commits an act without being conscious thereof, the act is not a criminal act even though it would be a crime if it had been committed by a person who was conscious.”  But when evidence has been given to to show that the defendant was  conscious at the time and place of the commission of the alleged offenses for which he has been put on trial and committed the offenses he must be found guilty and sentenced accordingly. God’s word is unchanging:

For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,  but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries.  Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. And again, “The LORD will judge His people.”  It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Hebrews 10:26-31

Because the earth’s government is on God’s shoulder (Isaiah 9:6, Romans 13:1-4) and has been patterned or  the copy and shadow of the heavenly things (Hebrews 8:5) in judging things we must consider is not only whether a person is guilty or not guilty of a crime but the reason he did the crime.  Each one who has been born again and filled with the Spirit of God has been made a king and priest unto our God. As a king we execute authority and judgments over things including people. As a priest we show mercy and intercede on behalf of others. And not all sins are forgiveable by us even though many Christians believe in unconditional forgiveness  and forgive people unconditionally for anything and everything.  But the bible tells us that woe comes to those who don’t repent:

Then He said to the disciples, “It is impossible that no offenses should come, but woe to him through whom they do come!  “It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.  “Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him.  “And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.” Luke 17:1-4

And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry,  although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent man; but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant, with faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 1:12-14

If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin which does not lead to death, he will ask, and He will give him life for those who commit sin not leading to death. There is sin leading to death. I do not say that he should pray about that.  All unrighteousness is sin, and there is sin not leading to death. 1 John 5:16-17

Apostle Paul received mercy and forgiveness because he did things it ignorantly in unbelief. And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant, with faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. He also received mercy and forgiveness because Christians lovingly prayed for his conviction and salvation. And  that in Him first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life

Love is the  new and greatest commandment that God has given us today. And we are now commanded to love one another. Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. We are commanded in the Word of God in Romans 13:7-9 to  Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.  Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law. or the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” We are also told in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 that  Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;  does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;  does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;  bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

We are also told in 1 John 4:8-11 that  He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.  In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.  Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. Most offenses that we do to others result from the lack of love, including the fact that we  don’t love ourselves, don’t love others and don’t believe that God loves or cares for us. As a result we kill or murder  people with our words and or deeds. God’s word is unchanging:

“You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. John 8:44

Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.  By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.  But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?  My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. 1 John 3:15-18

Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.  And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.  Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.  There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.  We love Him because He first loved us.   If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?  And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also. 1 John 4:15-21

The lack of God’s love in our hearts and lives and to others through us, is a major cause of many of our sins and offenses to others for which we need to repent and receive love from God because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us (Romans 5:5).  Otherwise we shall know the judgments of God just as Jesus promised:

“For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.  “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.’  “But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’ shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of hell fire. “Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you,  “leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift. “Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are on the way with him, lest your adversary deliver you to the judge, the judge hand you over to the officer, and you be thrown into prison. Matthew 5:20-25

“And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted. Matthew 23:12

In dealing with others who have caused us offenses we must  loose the love of God upon all our enemies and adversaries who don’t know what they are doing. We must  forgive and release them from their sins. But for those that consciously sin against God’s will, we  must pray for Holy Spirit conviction upon them that they would turn and repent. Otherwise we should loose God’s righteousness and judgment of psalm 59 and 109 upon them as per the Word of God in Matthew 18:15-20. If we don’t loose righteousness and justice on unrepentant ones, then they will continue causing unrepented offenses to others and we will be guilty for their sins  and share in the judgment of God that follows. God’s word is unchanging:

Now it came to pass at the end of seven days that the word of the LORD came to me, saying,  “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore hear a word from My mouth, and give them warning from Me:  “When I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life, that same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand.  “Yet, if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul. “Again, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die; because you did not give him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered; but his blood I will require at your hand.  “Nevertheless if you warn the righteous man that the righteous should not sin, and he does not sin, he shall surely live because he took warning; also you will have delivered your soul.” Ezekiel 3:16-21

“And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Matthew 16:19

But all this doesn’t change the fact that God overlooked times of ignorance, but now commands all men everywhere to repent. His  word is unchanging:

“God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands.  “Nor is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things.  “And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings,  “so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; “for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’  “Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man’s devising.  “Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent,  “because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.” Acts 17:24-31

IN CHRIST

AA

BE CONSCIOUS OF YOUR POSITION IN CHRIST

John 15:5 – I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

In this verse, Jesus says, “I am the vine, you are the branches.” He did not say, “I am the vine, try to be the branches.” In other words, He wants us to realize that we are already the branches. We do not have to struggle to become the branches.

As His branches, we only have to abide or remain in Christ our vine. How do we do that? We do that by simply being conscious every day of our position in Christ.

Because we have received Christ, we are in Christ and are accepted in the Beloved. (2 Corinthians 5:17, Ephesians 1:6) God accepts us because we are in the Beloved and He is in us. And that is how God sees us today when we come into His presence.

What the devil wants to do then is to get you to focus on your condition instead of your position in Christ. The condition you are facing could be financial lack or deteriorating health. The devil wants you to focus on your condition and forget your position—that you are the righteousness of God in Christ and that you are seated with Him in heavenly places at the Father’s right hand. (2 Corinthians 5:21, Ephesians 2:6) He wants you to forget that you are an heir of God and a joint heir with Christ. (Romans 8:17)

The devil knows that once you focus on your position in Christ, it will give you the power to change your condition and circumstances. John 15:5 says that you will bear “much fruit”. This means that when you pray against any lack, abundant supply will flow. When you pray for healing, sickness will leave.

My friend, none of these things can happen by your own doing, but by His life which flows through you. Just as sap flowing through the branches of a vine will cause them to bring forth fruit, His life flowing through you will bring forth a bountiful harvest of provision, healing and miracles. You only need to remain conscious of who you are in Christ!

Thought For The Day

Remain conscious of who you are in Christ and you will bear much fruit.

THINGS TO REMEMBER

“Keep yourselves in the love of God ” (Jude 1:21).

Remaining grounded in God’s love protects you from Satan. When you walk in love, you are hidden in God’s light, and the devil can’t touch you!

We can never earn the love of God, but we don’t have to. When we believe in Jesus and confess Him as Lord, we are in right standing with God! See Romans 10:9-10.

The blessing…it’s an empowerment from God to prosper you in every arena of life!

God created the world with faith filled words. You are made in His likeness. You can effectively change your world by speaking His Word with faith

Jesus’ resurrection is heaven’s receipt that all our sins have been paid for by His perfect work on the cross (see Rom 4:25). Today, we are completely forgiven and free to enjoy all of God’s blessings.

When God heals and restores, He doesn’t just bring you back to your original condition, He brings you out better than you were before. God’s grace is bigger than any challenge, mistake, or setback. He is a God who makes all things new!

No matter what you have been through or what you’re facing, it’s not too late. God can bring healing and complete restoration to every area of your life. He is our Heavenly Father, and He is faithful to keep His promises.

Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you. (Isa 60:1–2)

Don’t let bad reports of instability and chaos in the world put fear in your heart for the year ahead. God promises that when you see increasing uncertainty and chaos all around you—when deep darkness covers the earth—you will also see His glory arising upon you, causing you to shine with the evidence of His goodness and blessings in your life. Give weight to His Word at the start of this year, and experience a manifestation of His greater glory in every area of your life, every day!

GUARD YOUR FOCUS

Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. —Hebrews 12:2

“That’s my disciple,” I once heard a woman say about someone she was helping. As followers of Christ we are all tasked with making disciples—sharing the good news of Christ with people and helping them grow spiritually. But it can be easy to focus on ourselves instead of Jesus.

The apostle Paul was concerned that the Corinthian church was losing its focus on Christ. The two best-known preachers in those days were Paul and Apollos. The church was divided: “I follow Paul.” “Well, I follow Apollos!” They had begun focusing on the wrong person, following the teachers rather than the Savior. But Paul corrected them. We are “God’s fellow workers.” It doesn’t matter who plants and who waters, for only God can give the growth. Christians are “God’s field, God’s building” (1 Cor. 3:6-9). The Corinthian believers didn’t belong to Paul nor to Apollos.
Jesus tells us to go and make disciples and to teach them about Him (Matt. 28:20).

And the author of the book of Hebrews reminds us to focus on the Author and Finisher of our faith (12:2). Christ will be honored when we focus on Him; He is superior to any human being and He will meet our needs.

Father, I confess that it is easy to shift my focus from You to less important things. Thank You for putting people in my life that help point me to You.

Help me point others to You in a way that makes You more and me less.

YOU ARE EQUIPPED …

Every Scripture is God-breathed…so that the man of God may be complete and proficient, well fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work. – 2 Timothy 3:16–17, AMP

God has equipped you with everything you need to fulfill your destiny through His Word! The scripture tells us that as believers in Jesus Christ, we are anointed. The word “anointing” is the power of God which gives you courage, strength and ability. That means you are well able to do what He has called you to do. You can accomplish your goals. You have the ideas, the creativity, and the talent to be successful. You can overcome any obstacle! You’ve been armed with strength for every battle! The forces that are with you are greater than the forces that are against you!

Not only has God equipped you, but He is also working on your behalf. He has already lined up the right people to come across your path. He’s already lined up the right breaks. You have everything you need to live a victorious life. You were created to excel! You have seeds of greatness on the inside of you. Don’t settle where you are. Have the attitude, “I am anointed. I can accomplish my dreams. I can overcome any obstacle. I am equipped and empowered by my Father in heaven, and I am able to live the abundant life He has for me!”

THE MINISTRY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT …

Mark 8:12, “And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek after a sign? verily I say unto you, There shall no sign be given unto this generation.”

The Greek word used here for “sighed deeply” means an intense grieving, inaudible prayer, or groan. This is intercession of the Holy Spirit, with groanings that cannot be uttered. Some Spirit-filled Christians believe this means groanings that cannot be uttered in normal speech and that this refers to speaking in tongues. However, this actually refers to a type of intercession different than speaking in tongues.

In John 11:33 and 38, Jesus groaned in the Spirit twice, and in those cases there were no words uttered. It was exactly as the Scripture states, a groaning in the Spirit. Everyone who has the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit has or will have this happen to them. Paul was referring to this in Galatians 4:19 when he spoke of travailing in birth for the Galatians. This groaning of the Holy Spirit is not just a grief but a groan of anger and resistance against Satan’s devices in our lives. Many times, Christians don’t discern this because they think it is just their own grief over the situation. But, this is the Holy Spirit desiring to intercede with us against our problems.

Jesus drew on this ministry of the Holy Spirit. John 11:33 and 38 says, that Jesus groaned in the Spirit twice when He raised Lazarus from the dead. What infirmity did Jesus have that He needed this ministry of the Holy Spirit? Jesus had no sin, but He did have an infirmity. It was His physical mind.

Even a sinless human mind could not comprehend raising a man from the grave after four days. If Jesus needed the Holy Spirit to help Him when He didn’t know how to pray, then this should certainly be an important ministry of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

ACT OUT OF REST

And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work. ROMANS 11:6

Whether it is partaking of the Holy Communion or confessing God’s Word, do these things out of rest. Don’t feel as if you need to put the demand on yourself to be healed. My friend, you can’t earn your healing. It is something that God gives you by His grace.

Beloved, God wants you to see that Jesus has already paid for your healing. Today, He is so pleased with Jesus’ finished work that He is more than happy to bountifully supply all the healing and provision that you desire.

When you truly have a revelation of this, nothing will stop you from declaring His Word over yourself and running to the Lord’s table with thanksgiving and expectation. And when you act in faith out of rest, it won’t be long before you see your miracle manifest!

BEFORE YOU BUILD :-

‘You must build…according to the pattern I will show you.’ Exodus 25:9 NLT

Go to God for the plan. God told Moses: ‘You must build this tabernacle and its furnishings exactly according to the pattern I will show you.’ God knows what you will need in the future, you don’t. He prepared Noah a hundred years in advance of the flood. He prepared Joseph to feed Egypt seven years in advance of the famine. Without God’s guidance the best you’ll ever have are estimates, educated guesswork and projections. ‘To the Israelites at the foot of the mountain, the glory of the Lord appeared at the summit like a consuming fire. Then Moses disappeared into the cloud as he climbed higher up the mountain. He remained on the mountain forty days and forty nights.’ (Exodus 24:17-18 NLT) Moses spent over a month waiting in God’s presence for direction. Why? Because what he was building had to meet the needs of God’s people for generations. So go to the place of prayer. Tell those around you, ‘I’m not coming back until I hear from God and get His plan!’ When God orders it, He pays for it. But when He doesn’t give the order, and you decide to do it anyway, you’re on your own! Why? Because you won’t have confidence to go to Him in your time of need. Unless you start right, you won’t finish right. You say, ‘But I’m nobody special. Why would God speak to someone like me?’ If God has called you, and He has, then you’re special. His promise is,

‘If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God…and it will be given to him.’ – James 1:5 NIV

MOVED BY THE SPIRIT, NOT HUMAN HONEY

Leviticus 2:11 – No grain offering which you bring to the Lord shall be made with leaven, for you shall burn no leaven nor any honey in any offering to the Lord made by fire.

Imagine yourself walking past the prodigal son sitting in the pigpen. (Luke 15:11–24) You look at him and see him salivating for the pigs’ food. Believing that it is good to show kindness, you give him money to buy food for himself.

That is human kindness which says, “I am a Christian. I should be kind, good and forgiving.” Such human sweetness or kindness may be likened to honey. Interestingly, while we elevate it, God tells His people not to bring Him a grain offering with honey in it.

The grain offering speaks of Jesus’ life on earth. Not mixing honey in the grain offering speaks of how the compassion and goodness we see in Jesus during His earthly ministry were all divine. There was no “honey” of human goodness that is tainted with human weakness.

In retrospect, the worst thing one could do for the prodigal son was to give him money when he was in the pigpen. Not only would he not have gone home, but what the Lord was doing in his heart would also have been spoiled. This is what happens when we go by the goodness of our human hearts instead of the goodness of God in our hearts, which is directed by His love, wisdom and perfect timing.

My friend, God does not want you to be moved by what you see but by His Spirit. There were many needy folks surrounding Jesus during His time on earth. But He did not heal every sick person around Him, feed every hungry stomach he passed or raise all who were dead. Isaiah 11:2–3 tells us that the Lord was not moved by what He saw or heard. He was moved only by the Spirit.

You too have the Spirit in you. (1 Corinthians 3:16) Be moved by Him. Follow the peace that He puts within your spirit to do or refrain from doing something. That peace is the peace of God. Acting on that peace will cause God to be exalted, and His divine goodness and kindness to really be a blessing to you and others!

Thought For The Day :

Don’t be moved by the honey of human kindness but by God’s Spirit.

GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT

THE LORD IS ON MY SIDEAPOSTLES AND NINE GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

Apostles want to know, “Have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed?” Scripture declares that He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and power. The Holy Ghost is the power of God. You can expect Him to take an active role in your life as you experience the nine gifts of the Spirit, the anointing, and signs, wonders and miracles. After Christ’s resurrection, He met with His disciples for forty days teaching about the kingdom of God. He told them not to go into the world until they received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. He said they would receive power to witness in all the world “after” the Holy Ghost had come on them (Acts 1:8). This is significant. Jesus knew what it would take to build a Church the gates of hell could not prevail against.
Not only will the Holy Ghost help you strengthen your spirit man, pray effectively, give you power to witness but He will also use you to flow in the supernatural power of God. The Holy Spirit is promised to every believer. He was given to empower you to do what God has called you to do. In other words, you are gifted by Him to do great things. When the Holy Ghost comes on you, not only will you speak with other tongues and prophesy like those in Scripture, you will also be a candidate for the manifestation of the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit. Scripture lays out the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit as following.
“Now there are diversities of gifts but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.” (1 Corinthians 12:4-11)
Notice “the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.” When you receive “the gift”, the Holy Spirit, you also receive the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit “dividing to every man severally as He wills.” These gifts are not just for the preacher, they are for every born again believer that is baptized with the Holy Ghost. He is that “same Spirit” Paul was referring to.

REVELATION, POWER, AND UTTERANCE

The nine manifestations of the Holy Spirit can be broken down into three categories: revelation gifts, power gifts, and utterance gifts.
REVELATION GIFTS (A gift manifestation that knows something.)
1. A word of wisdom
2. A word of knowledge
3. Discerning of spirits
POWER GIFTS (A gift manifestation that does something.)
4. Gift of faith
5. Gifts of healing
6. Miracles
UTTERANCE GIFTS (A gift manifestation that speaks something.)
7. Prophecy
8. Divers (diverse) kinds of tongues
9. Interpretation of tongues
These manifestations of the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit are given to every son and daughter of God after they are baptized in the Holy Ghost.

As already said, before Jesus was baptized by the Holy Ghost there were no miracles, healings, casting out demons, walking on water, rebuking storms, cursing fig trees or raising the dead. This is a simple but profound truth, Jesus, the Word of God made flesh, had no miracle working power until the Holy Ghost came on Him. If Jesus needed the Holy Ghost for effective ministry so do you.

WITH SIGNS FOLLOWING

Christ gave us other examples of the Holy Spirit working in the lives of believers. “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following” (Mark 16:15-20). These ‘signs that follow’ manifestations include:
Casting out devils
Speaking with new tongues
Taking up (Greek airō, removing) serpents
Laying hands on the sick for healing
All of these are examples of the work of the Holy Spirit in the lives of born-again believers. As already said, after Christ’s resurrection He told His disciples they would receive power after the Holy Ghost came on them. That same Holy Ghost power is available to you. Expect the Holy Spirit to take an active role in your life manifesting the nine gifts of the Spirit, advancing the Kingdom of God with the anointing, and with signs, wonders and mighty miracles following them that believe.

PRAYER

Let’s pray this simple prayer for the baptism of the Holy Spirit together.
Jesus, you are my Lord and my Savior. Lord, I want everything you have to give me including the Holy Ghost. I want the same precious gift of the Holy Spirit you poured out on your servants in that Upper Room. By faith and according to your word, baptize me and fill me right now with your Holy Spirit. I accept your promise and baptism by faith. In Jesus’ name I pray.
When you are baptized with the Holy Ghost God supernaturally connects your tongue to your spirit man. So after you pray this prayer remember the Holy Spirit does not pray in tongues, you do. The Holy Spirit simply gives you the utterance to pray. Paul said, “For if I pray in an unknown tongue my spirit prayeth…” So open your mouth right now, do not pray in any language you know and by faith go ahead and start praying.

TO DISCERN

NOT LACK

Milk Or Solid Food

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy-meditate on these things.  The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:8-9

For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food.  For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. Hebrews 5:12-14

he•don•ism n. 1Philosophy. The ethical doctrine holding that only what is pleasant or has pleasant consequences is intrinsically good.

One Sunday morning I listened to prominent TV Evangelist and his one sided presentation of good and pleasant things and avoidance of unpleasant things!  Obviously the TV Evangelist doesn’t practice discernment and is your typical carnal Christian babe who partakes only of milk and is unskilled in the word of righteous.  He could not handle solid food because it belongs to those who are full of age and by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil! And they are not like Paul who had no problem calling sin “sin” and rebuking those who needed to be rebuked or Jesus Christ who made a whip and drove money changers out of the house of God at the start and end of His miracle ministry. And Paul told us The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do. And what did Paul do? He tells us in his words:

But from those who seemed to be something-whatever they were, it makes no difference to me; God shows personal favoritism to no man-for those who seemed to be something added nothing to me. Galatians 2:6

Now when Peter had come to Antioch, I withstood him to his face, because he was to be blamed;  for before certain men came from James, he would eat with the Gentiles; but when they came, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing those who were of the circumcision.  And the rest of the Jews also played the hypocrite with him, so that even Barnabas was carried away with their hypocrisy.  But when I saw that they were not straightforward about the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter before them all, “If you, being a Jew, live in the manner of Gentiles and not as the Jews, why do you compel Gentiles to live as Jews?  “We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, “knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified. Galatians 2:11-16

Paul was not a respecter of persons and since God shows personal favoritism to no man neither did Paul and he had no problem rebuking Peter to his face! Mind rebuking people for their sins is not done anymore today and very few pastors preach about hell including this prominent TV Evangelist with his hedonistic gospel!

The Washington Post on Saturday, August 8, 2009, in an article title “Straight Talk About Damnation It’s a Mistake for Christians to Deny the Flip Side of Salvation, Some Pastors Say” By Greg Garrison Religion News Service stated:

BIRMINGHAM — Just when it seemed to have cooled off, the topic of hell is back on the front burner — at least for pastors learning to preach about a topic most Americans would rather not talk about.

Only 59 percent of Americans believe in hell, compared with 74 percent who believe in heaven, according to recent surveys from the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life.

“I think it’s such a difficult and important biblical topic,” said Kurt Selles, director of the Global Center at Samford University’s Beeson Divinity School in Birmingham. “There’s a big change that’s taken place as far as evangelicals not wanting to be as exclusive.”

At the recent annual Beeson Pastors School, Selles led two workshops on the topic “Whatever happened to hell?” He asked how many of the pastors had ever preached a sermon on hell. Nobody had, he said.

“I think it’s something people want to avoid,” he said. “I understand why. It’s a difficult topic.”

The Rev. Fred Johns, pastor of Brookview Wesleyan Church in Irondale, Ala., said after a workshop discussion that pastors do shy away from the topic of everlasting damnation.

“It’s out of fear we’ll not appear relevant,” he said. “It’s pressure from the culture to not speak anything negative. I think we’ve begun to deny hell. There’s an assumption that everybody’s going to make it to heaven somehow.”

The soft sell on hell reflects an increasingly market-conscious approach, Selles said.

It’s amazing that preachers today have chosen a soft sell on hell because of an increasingly market-conscious approach! What happened to the fiery preachers of yesterday including Jonathan Edwards, George Whitefield, John and Charles Wesley, Dwight Moody and even Billy Graham?

John Wesley [ix]is largely credited, along with his brother Charles Wesley, with founding the Methodist movement which began when he took to open-air preaching in a similar manner to George Whitefield. Methodism in both forms was a highly successful evangelical movement in the United Kingdom, which encouraged people to experience Christ personally.

Wesley helped to organise and form societies throughout England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland; small groups that developed intensive, personal accountability, discipleship and religious instruction among members. His great contribution was to appoint itinerant, unordained preachers who travelled widely to evangelise and care for people in the societies. Young men who acted as their assistants were called “exhorters” who functioned in a similar fashion to the twelve apostles after the ascension of Jesus

Under Wesley’s direction, Methodists became leaders in many social justice issues of the day, including the prison reform and abolitionism movements. Wesley’s contribution as a theologian was to propose a system of opposing theological stances. His greatest theological achievement was his promotion of what he termed “Christian Perfection”, or holiness of heart and life. Wesley held that, in this life, Christians could come to a state in which the love of God, or perfect love, reigned supreme in their hearts. His evangelical theology, especially his understanding of Christian perfection, was firmly grounded in his sacramental theology. He continually insisted on the general use of the means of grace (prayer, scripture, meditation, Holy Communion, etc.) as the means by which God sanctifies and transforms the believer.

In the beginning Billy Graham was known for the “Old-fashioned, Spirit-filled, Christ-honoring, sin-hating, soul-winning, Bible preaching!“ But along the way Billy became soft and his preaching stopped being an offense to anybody. So much that it was reported[x]:

Earlier, at a news conference, the famed evangelist thrilled the cockles of the homosexuals’ lusty hearts when he snapped to a reporter that he was tired of people trying to get him to criticize gays. “It’s not the biggest of sins,” Graham said.  Billy followed this up by telling the smiling and happy liberal media: “What I want to preach about in San Francisco is the love of God. People need to know that God loves them no matter what their sexual orientation.”  Graham also proudly confided: “I have so many gay friends, and we remain friends.”

According to the San Francisco Chronicle & Examiner (October 10, 1997), after hearing Graham’s latest milktoast sermon, Brian Jackie, a gay San Francisco Catholic, praised the evangelist. “Graham is a man of integrity,” said Jackie, adding that Billy Graham always has a “positive message.”  Jackie’s friend, the Reverend Bill Byrd, homosexual pastor of the San Francisco Evangelical Gay Church, heartily agreed. “I have no problem with Graham’s preaching,” said the Reverend Byrd, “Billy Graham brings people together.”

So even though Apostle Paul stated “”Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, “because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead”(Acts 17:30-31), today’s gospel by prominent Evangelical preachers is about bringing people together! What happened to the offense of the gospel of Jesus Christ including being rebuked as Apostle Paul and Peter told us?

Brethren, join in following my example, and note those who so walk, as you have us for a pattern. For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:  whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame-who set their mind on earthly things. Philippians 3:17-19

I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers;  and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. 2 Timothy 4:1-4

Those who are sinning rebuke in the presence of all, that the rest also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20

Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who are disobedient, “The stone which the builders rejected  Has become the chief cornerstone,” and “A stone of stumbling And a rock of offense.”  They stumble, being disobedient to the word, to which they also were appointed. 1 Peter 2:7-8

THEY NEVER TAUGHT HIM THAT IN CEMETERY . BOTH HE, AND HIS WIFE AND CHILDREN WERE FULL OF FAMILIAR SPIRITS AND DIDN’T KNOW HOW TO HANDLE THEM! OF COURSE THEY DIDN’T TEACHING HIM ABOUT THE BAPTISM OF THE SPIRIT OR THAT HEALING, DELIVERANCE AND MIRACLES WERE FOR TODAY

A MIRACLE WORKING GOD

law of the lord

 God Is Not Dead

And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said to him: “Because you have relied on the king of Syria, and have not relied on the LORD your God, therefore the army of the king of Syria has escaped from your hand. “Were the Ethiopians and the Lubim not a huge army with very many chariots and horsemen? Yet, because you relied on the LORD, He delivered them into your hand.  “For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. In this you have done foolishly; therefore from now on you shall have wars.” 2 Chronicles 16:7-9

“God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. “Nor is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things.  “And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, “so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us;  “for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’ Acts 17:24-28

God, Who made the world and everything in it and sustains it and He is Lord of heaven and earth, is not dead even though men and demons may think or wish so! He is still a miracle working God who shows Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. However those who have done foolishly will find Him to be their adversary, not their friend! For those who believe and are His, He is still a great, good, kind, loving and compassionate God and friend as well as a Mighty Man of War and the Judge of all the earth! And His word is unchanging:

” ‘   Rise, take your journey, and cross over the River Arnon. Look, I have given into your hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land. Begin to possess it, and engage him in battle. ‘This day I will begin to put the dread and fear of you upon the nations under the whole heaven, who shall hear the report of you, and shall tremble and be in anguish because of you.’ Deuteronomy 2:24-25

“The LORD kills and makes alive; He brings down to the grave and brings up.  The LORD makes poor and makes rich; He brings low and lifts up. He raises the poor from the dust And lifts the beggar from the ash heap, To set them among princes And make them inherit the throne of glory. “For the pillars of the earth are the LORD’S, And He has set the world upon them. He will guard the feet of His saints, But the wicked shall be silent in darkness. “For by strength no man shall prevail.  The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken in pieces; From heaven He will thunder against them. The LORD will judge the ends of the earth. “He will give strength to His king, And exalt the horn of His anointed.”  1 Samuel 2:6-10

Shepherd boy David, who was anointed by Samuel after King Saul disobeyed the Lord (1 Samuel 16:3), knew of Hannah’s proclamation that the adversaries of the LORD shall be broken in pieces;  From heaven He will thunder against them. The LORD will judge the ends of the earth. “He will give strength to His king, And exalt the horn of His anointed.  As a result David didn’t run from the battle with Goliath but ran to the battle!  The bible records for our profit David’s faith confession and actions:

Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.  “This day the LORD will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you. And this day I will give the carcasses of the camp of the Philistines to the birds of the air and the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. “Then all this assembly shall know that the LORD does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the LORD’S, and He will give you into our hands.” 1 Samuel 17:45-47

As a result David brought down Goliath in a very unusual way he took out a stone and he slung it and struck the Philistine in his forehead, so that the stone sank into his forehead, and Goliath fell on his face to the earth.  David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone, and struck the Philistine and killed him. But there was no sword in the hand of David. As a result David ran and stood over the Philistine, took his sword and drew it out of its sheath and killed him, and cut off his head with it. And when the Philistines saw that their champion was dead, they fled. Then the men of Israel and Judah arose and shouted, and pursued the Philistines as far as the entrance of the valley and to the gates of Ekron. And the wounded of the Philistines fell along the road to Shaaraim, even as far as Gath and Ekron. Then the children of Israel returned from chasing the Philistines, and they plundered their tents.

There is no victory outside of battle or in not facing and engaging the enemy dead on whomever or whatever enemy might be. The anointed ones must make a confession of faith and then do whatever it takes to get the victory through the wisdom, strength, faith and power that God provides!  Doing nothing about any enemy is never a solution to any problem or challenge including just praying about things.  Faith without works is dead and useless but God’s word is unchanging:

And what more shall I say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon and Barak and Samson and Jephthah, also of David and Samuel and the prophets:  who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,  quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. Hebrews 11:32-34

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy

1 John 4:15-19

Yes, God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind and we are to swing the sword of the Spirit, the Word of God, against the devil telling him what God’s word says about a matter and not what things appear to be like. When he brings sickness upon us we tell him “by Jesus stripes we are healed and God is our healer.” When he brings troubles and problems upon us we tell him “the Lord is our deliverer and a very present help in time of trouble.” When he brings fear and doubt upon us we tell him “God has not given us the Spirit of fear and He makes our way perfect.” As a Christian, there are fights of faith we must fight in this life by declaring that what we have not seen is ours (Romans 4:17.) Despite the pressure, we must make a confession of faith and maintain our confession, that we are a success, we are the healed of God, and we are rich in Jesus Name and live our life to the fullest in victory. Hence are some suggested confessions:

Lord, in the name of Jesus, I thank You for my deliverance from blindness, sickness, diseases, debt, oppression, shame, sin, lusts, lack, poverty, defeat, despair, failure and unbelief and  that you have given me faith, hope, prosperity and love which is wrapped up in Jesus Christ. Your Word says that I am to owe no man anything but to love him. Your word says you have become unto me all things. As I continue to build my faith in this area, I fully expect to receive much unexpected income(s), answers, miracles and debt cancellation and great and wonderful healings and miracles and deliverance and blessings including financial breakthroughs.

I confess for the glory of God in Jesus name I am wealthy and prosperous and victorious and more than a conqueror in every area of my life. I confess that all my needs are met and my storehouses overflow with abundance and that I am a great and true and holy man/woman of God.

In Jesus name I come against all oppression in my life and declare that I have supernatural protection against the onslaughts of the enemy. In the name of Jesus I command the angels of God to go now and bring to pass my financial and physical soundness and wholeness and blessings and provisions and prosperity. I confess I am a wise and faithful and good steward; therefore, I walk in manifested abundance and debt-freedom daily. Your Word says that You delight in the prosperity of Your servants. As I serve You with my finances, I declare that I have my harvest of debt-deliverance right now. Amen!

In the name of Jesus, I confess that right now I’m out of debt, my needs are met and I have plenty more to put in store. I walk in abundance and good health daily. Lord, Your Word says that it is Your will for me to prosper and excel in every area of my life. Because I am a faithful and wise steward over my finances, the wealth of the wicked is being transferred into my hands. I know what to do with it because I place You first in all things. You direct my path and give me wisdom to manage what You have placed in my hands. As a believer, I am blessed to be a blessing until all families of the earth have been blessed.  I am a distribution center. I am a money magnet. Money cometh to me now! I command unexpected and expected income to come my way. Lord, I receive Your blessing-Your power to get wealth-right now. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

In the name of Jesus, I declare that I have a blood-bought right to answered prayer. The Word of God is my guarantee. Father, by prayer, supplication and with thanksgiving, I can make my requests known to You. You hear the prayer of the righteous and answer them. Your eyes are on me and Your ears are open to hear my prayers. I am connected to Christ Jesus, and I am anointed. In everything I do I am more than a conqueror. Because I abide in You, and Your Word abides in me, I see the manifestation of answered prayer. When I speak Your Word, it does not return without accomplishing what it was sent to do Amen and amen.

Lord, I thank You that I walk in favor with man and with You. Wherever I go and whatever I do, Your favor goes before me. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much. Therefore, I believe I receive what I pray for right now. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

In the name of Jesus, I do not neglect my great salvation-soteria. I declare that I am established in “protection, preservation, prosperity, promotions, provisions, soundness, healing, deliverance and the ministry of angels.” I do not fear. No weapon formed against me shall prosper. Every tongue that rises up against me, I will condemn, for it is my heritage. I loose my angels to bring me great wealth, perfect health, great anointings, total victories, houses, lands, cars and boats and every good thing and especially my miracle ministry.

Thank You, Lord, for being my help in the time of trouble. When I call, You answer me. You are always with me. You deliver and honor me. No evil ever comes near my dwelling. With a long and prosperous life You will show me Your salvation.

I declare that the healing power of God is flowing through my body right now.  I declare that every organ, tissue, cell and system in my body functions in the perfection to which God created it to function. I command all infection and abnormality in my body to cease and die and pass out now never to return in Jesus Name. Divine health is restored into my body in Jesus Name. I rebuke every ear deafness blindness sickness disease and spirit of infirmity and command it to go away and not come back in Jesus name I speak the Word of God in Jesus name that by Jesus stripes I am healed and it will not return to me void.

I am established in Your Word. I declare that I am preserved from trouble. I overcome trouble by the blood of the Lamb and the word of my testimony. I am established in righteousness through Jesus. As the redeemed of the Lord, I declare this to be so right now. In Jesus’ name, I command and loose Your angels to go forth now and bring these confession to pass in my life. I believe and I have received the manifestation of these promises and your great and wonderful miracle working power.
